After a long month the wait is over. Sorry for making you all wait but I was enjoying my time. I know it's not an excuse to leave you all hanging but I hope this makes up for it. I needed a break to be able to refocus on my story. I did gain some perspective and hopefully you will all like the way I evolve the characters. So please bare with me if your favorite character all of a sudden becomes your enemy.

I have also included some new characters and yes they are from Twilight. They belong to SM not me.
All other Characters belong to CC except for the two or three I made.

Thoughts are in Italics.

Also at the end of the Chapter I have some news to tell you all and hopefully you guys are on board with me. It took me a long time to decide this so I hope you all can support me. Without further ado please enjoy chapter 21.

They drove in silence all the way home. Clary knew she was going to hate the next month. The nurse may have say 10 days to 14 but knowing her dad it wouldn't be enough. She can already feel withdrawal from not running. She loved the outdoors and being able to do something she was good at. Thankfully she still had Art. That's the one thing she wouldn't give up.

When Clary focused her eyes she saw their street. Her body stiffened at the sight of her parents cars. She knew they would be there but she still want prepared for it. She instinctively grabbed for Jon's hands who only squeezed in return. She can already feel her father's eyes hovering over her. Thankfully her mother doesn't have a screw loose and will trust what a doctor or nurse says. Sadly Valentine lost that sanity a long time ago.

As soon as they pull into the garage Clary sees her father waiting by the door. He doesn't wait and opens her door for her and pulls her into his arms.

"Clary are you okay?" Valentine asks her as she struggles for air.

"Dad. Cant. Breathe." Clary gasps and he finally loosens his hold. Both he and Jon are incredibly strong, almost inhumanly strong.

"Sorry princess." He cups her face. "I hated not being able to rush to your side today. I dropped everything to be here by the time you two got out of school."

"Daddy I'm okay. Jon, Simon, Izzy and Maia took care of me. Plus you kept texting me during class. Remember?" Clary asked her father who now led her into the living room.

"It doesn't hurt to double check." He let her sit down and Jocelyn came and gave her a cup of hot tea. "I think it would be best if you stayed home for the rest of the week."

Clary nearly dropped her cup and Jocelyn looked at her husband as if he'd grown a second head. "NO." Clary managed to blurt out before her mother raised her hand to silence her.

"Valentine, Clary will still go to school. We won't keep her here simply because you believe she will get hurt again. It was an accident. She is fine and the boys will be by her side." Jocelyn stood and embraced her husband who didn't have any emotion on his face. He wasn't going to be convinced so easily.

"I will not have her in harm's way. She could have been seriously hurt today. I won't risk her health. Its only two days Jocelyn." He said without relaxing under her touch. An unusual feat since she can always manage to calm him.

"Sweetheart, she will be fine. She isn't a baby anymore. In two years she will be 18 and then moving out." Valentine tensed and in his dark eyes fire danced. "I know you don't like to think about it but oh well. Clary is fine. So baby her all you want when she is here but her schedule will stay the same." With that Jocelyn walked away but not without giving him a kiss on his cheek. Valentine just stood there angry at the thought of Clary no longer being his baby. He walked towards Clary who was on the verge of tears. Her parents rarely fought and when they did it was terrifying. He kissed her on the head and covered her with a nearby blanket. He walked to his study where he could focus on work and calm down.

After a few moments Clary exhaled not knowing when she started holding her breath in. Jon sat beside her and cradled her in his arms. Clary may be strong when the situation calls for it but when it comes to their parents she always needs him. They rarely see them fight and when they do it doesn't seem much of a fight.

"It's my fault." Clary finally sheds a tear.

"No its not. Dad is always quick to treat you like a child. Mom is just trying to help you by reminding him of the truth. He may not like it but it's for his own good. If she didn't do that I swear he would expect to keep you with him until you turned 30." They both chuckled at the thought. Sadly that wasn't so far from the truth. Being daddy's little girl has a lot of perks but the cons are great as well.

"I hope you're right. I just hate to see them like that." Clary said as she turned on the TV and began to flip through the channels.

"I am right. Watch by dinner time they will be all lovey dovey again." Jon made a face as if he was about to throw up. No matter how many years passed he will still make the same face.

"This is one of the few times I'm looking forward to it." Clary said and with that they stayed huddled on the couch watching TV.

O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O

When dinner time finally arrived Clary could not be happier to know her brother had been right. While she and Jon were watching TV their parents made up. Sadly that also means they are now acting like teenagers instead of an old married couple. Ewwww. (They are kissing again)

"Clary, I'm sorry I tried to keep you under lock and key earlier." Valentine said while getting a stern look from his wife.

"Its okay dad. I understand why you wanted that." Clary saw the relief flood her father's face.

"Good, but you are still not allowed to overdo it. Jon will make sure of that while your party is going on." Valentine quickly regains his authoritative tone.

"I know. I'm sure everyone will keep a close eye, especially Jon and Simon. Trust me daddy you have nothing to worry about." Clary said but she knew he would still worry. It is her father she was talking about. Thankfully he is still in the dark about everything else otherwise he would never leave her side.

"Well now that that is out of the way let's eat." Jocelyn says as she carries dinner into the dining room.

They all gather together and the boys are the first to dig in.

O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O

Clary is finally in bed after a long long long talk with her dad. He wanted to make sure she was okay and if it was good for her to even sleep. He actually called a doctor at home to get a second opinion. It took everyone to talk him out of getting the doctor to make a house call. She didn't even know they still made those. Even after he was gone he still insisted on her having an air horn next to her just in case she couldn't call out for help. Yup he was that far gone.

Her dad wasn't her only obstacle. Her pages were blowing up with 'get well wishes' and her phone keeps beeping from texts, calls and voicemails when she doesn't pick up. The only time things died down is when she posted her current status and thanking everyone for their support and that she was going to get some much needed rest. Clary couldn't understand why this way of communicating was so popular. By the end of the night she was overwhelmed.

Hopefully the days will go by fast so she doesn't have to put up with everyone's good intentions. Not that she wasn't appreciative but sometimes she felt like a helpless toddler who couldn't walk without someone holding her hand.

O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O

Clary was in deep sleep REM sleep when suddenly she was startled awake. She screamed when a figure was standing over her on her bed. She immediately scooted back and someone suddenly burst through the door.

"What happened?" Jon's voice came to her relief as he flicked the lights on.

When Clary finally opened her eyes she found her dad looking guilty and oddly proud.

"Clary baby I am so sorry to have scared you. I was just trying to check on you one last time before I went to work." Valentine said as he realized he must have scared the daylights out of her.

"What the hell. I thought something happened." Jon said breathing heavily.

"Well next time could you please try to not scare me. I just had the strangest feeling that I wasn't alone and all I saw was a dark figure so I screamed." Clary said as she finally felt her heart beat slow down.

Valentine smirked. He smirked!
"I'm actually kind of proud at both of you to be honest. Jon came here within seconds which lets me know he was keeping an ear out for trouble even in sleep and you did the only rational thing. I'm actually surprised you could sense you weren't alone. I was being very quiet." Valentine said as he hugged his daughter.

"Well I'm glad to know I make you proud when I'm terrified." Clary laughed causing the m to laugh as well. Jon walked out mumbling something incoherently.

"Sleep sweetheart. I just wanted to look at you before I left. I love you." Valentine kissed her temple and helped her back under the covers.

"Love you too dad. Have a good day at work" Clary found her comfy spot and went back to sleep for whatever time she had left.

(Lunch at School)

The day has gone by in a myriad of feelings for Clary. At times it's too slow when the looks and constant questions from people become too much. Other times it's too fast when she finally gets a moments peace. Thankfully lunch time is a time she can relax. At their usual table the girls are relaxing with Simon and Jordan and a hovering Jon who keeps checking on her from time to time. Thankfully it was pudding day again and most of the guys from the soccer team gave her theirs in a show of support. This is a perk I can get used to.

"Hey Clary when you are done licking the last drop of pudding from that cup would you mind joining our little conversation?" Jordan asked her amused that such a tiny person could pack away that much pudding. She was ravenous. That track team was rubbing off on her.

"Yeah, sorry guys. I love this pudding." Clary spoke with a smile on her face that was a little too big. Maybe she has had too much sugar.

"Well we were talking about what that bitch did to you yesterday." Izzy said as she scowled at her food.

"Guys she didn't do it on purpose. She talked to me yesterday and she even apologized." Clary said and her table froze.

"She what?" Simon half shouted. "When in the hell did she get near you again? We have all been around you constantly since then."

"She came during track practice. Calm down guys it's not a big deal." Clary said trying to ease the tension.

"Dammit I knew she would try something." Maia said as she stabbed her fruit cup.

"What exactly did she say? I doubt the words I'm sorry even came out of her vile mouth." Izzy said as calmly as she could.

"Well, she did apologize . . . . . in a way." Clary said as she remembered that the words 'I'm sorry' never came out of her mouth.

"What the hell does that mean?" Simon asked trying to understand.

"Well now that I think about it the word 'I'm sorry' were never spoken." Angered flashed in everyone's eyes. "She couldn't get the words out because she was trying not to cry. At least that's what I thought. She looked like she really meant it. I would hate to think it was all an act." Clary said as she replayed the moment over and over again in her head.

"Like I said. She wouldn't apologize." Izzy said pushing away her tray. Everyone shared a look.

"Wait guys come one. Can we please give her the benefit of the doubt? I don't want to start something or make her life hell simply on a theory. Please." Clary asked her friends who obliged for her sake. She was in no shape to deal with stress.

"Fine." They all mumbled in unison.

O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O

Alec watches with wide eyes as Quil and Embry make their food disappear. They decided to buy some extra food since they were still hungry but it somehow got turned into an eating contest. They wolfed down the food in the blink of an eye. Alec didn't know whether to be amazed or sick.

"Hey Alec, how's Clary doing?" Sam asked after handing the guys napkins.

"She seems to be fine. I guess the worst of it was nearly passing out on the floor. When I saw her earlier she just seemed overwhelmed by everyone's attention." Alec replied as Quil and Embry patted their bloated stomachs.

"Well that's good. Too bad she will out of commission but her health comes first." Sam said as he continued to eat.

"Good thing we don't have a game soon or I would have slapped that little tart five ways to Sunday for injuring our best runner." Leah said while looking in disgust at the mess the boys made.

"Hey, what the hell do you mean the best runner?" Seth said while looking at Leah.

"Oh don't tell me you think it's you." Leah said feign dismay.

"No it's me, obviously." Quil said then burped.

"Ewwww." Ana and Emily said at Quils little display of lack of manners.

"Oh gods are we going to start arguing who is the best runner?" Alec asked the group. They all looked at each other and nodded in agreement. "Well then let me end it right now. It's me."

With that the group erupted in 'friendly' banter for the remainder of lunch. Alec was happy to feel so accepted in a group he can call friends. Plus it's too easy to rile them up. All it takes is a few words like 'challenge, bet, food, best, worst, and dare'.

Alec liked the feeling of being a part of something and being able to socialize outside of his family. He liked these people and hopefully Clary would be joining soon as his girlfriend.

Jaces P.O.V.

I cannot believe Kaelie had the nerve to try and sit with me. I would rather chop my arm off than sit with her. I told her I didn't believe it was an accident but she was adamant that it was. She said she even apologized to Clary and if I didn't believe her then I should ask her. I still don't believe her. I should have known getting near someone like Kaelie would have its repercussions but she was too good to pass up. The girl was gorgeous. She only lacked any brains to carry a conversation.

I sent her packing the moment I saw Izzy out of the corner of my eye. No way in hell I was going to risk Clary seeing me near her. Kaelie had to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt it was an accident and even then I would be uneasy. She didn't make it easy when she pouted and held herself making her breast squeeze together. I don't know if it was intentional or not but damn. Kaelie was more trouble than I had anticipated.

O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O

P.E.

"So did you apologize?" Camille asked Kaelie. The three girls were standing away from view as to not be seen together. Camille noticed Simon watching them from time to time so she took precautions.

"Yes and no." Kaelie said smugly. Camille's face slightly moved but they knew it was her version of a scowl. She refused to show too much emotion to avoid wrinkling her face.

"I 'sobbed' when I 'tried' to get the words out and she said she forgave me. I never even said the words but she took them as an apology anyways." Kaelie said while looking at Camille for some sort of approval but didn't get anything in return.

"Let's hope she took it as an apology and no one else asks questions. We can't afford any problems right now." Camille said and with that left Seelie and Kaelie to talk.

"So was it as bad as you thought?" Seelie asked knowing the answer already.

"Worse. I felt dirty. Even though I never said it, she thinks she got an apology and now more than likely so do her friends." Kaelie looked like she was sick just from the thought of it. Seelie smirked and walked away. She was glad she wasn't the one to do that. She heard all the rumors spreading about Kaelie and most of the cheer squad wants her out. Camille put a stop to it but we know full well Kaelie has eyes on her all the time now.

On the other side of the gym Clary and her friends were leaning against the far wall watching everyone else. They took turns standing with her so she wouldn't have to be alone. Simon however never left her side. He hated the way Sebastian always manages to somehow get to her when he isn't around. He won't make that mistake again. In his mind Clary deserves her space since she has been bombarded with questions and well wishes constantly. Izzy and Maia have taken over her accounts for now replying and posting her status at the time. She doesn't want to deal with any of it and they are more than happy to help.

"Simon?" Clary asked.

"Yeah?" Simon replied.

"You know that I will eventually talk to him at some point right?" Clary said surprising her best friend that she knew exactly what he was doing.

"How did. . ." Simon began but was cut off.

"Oh come on. It doesn't take a genius to figure it out. Plus he keeps looking at you and not me. He obviously is waiting for a moment when you aren't here since you always glare at him." Clary replied with a slight smirk. She doesn't have anything against Sebastian but she knows Simon has never liked him. Thankfully Sebastian keeps his distance from him and doesn't do anything to hurt their relationship.

"I swear sometimes I think you're physic or telepathic." Simon said with a low chuckle.

"You never know so don't piss me off." Clary laughs alongside him.

"So what do you want me to do?" Simon asks knowing exactly what she wants.

"You already know so stop patronizing me." Clary says mock glaring at Simon.

He laughs and shakes his head. "Like I said." He hugs her. "Stop reading my mind." Simon walks away and of course Sebastian notices.

A few minutes later he walks towards Clary.

"Hi Sebastian." Clary acknowledges him first.

"Hey Clary. So your bodyguard finally went on break." Sebastian smirks as Clary laughs.

"Yes, he works too hard." She says.

"So how have you been?" He asks.

"I actually feel fine. Everyone is just making a bigger deal out of it. Especially Jon." She says smiling.

"I figured that. So I'm guessing your dad is worse?" He asks knowing full well the answer.

Clarys eye go wide as she looks at him and rolls her eyes.
"You met him. Of course he is worse. We had to talk him out of taking me to the hospital. He was out for blood. I am just thankful it wasn't a guy who hit me or Jon and my dad would be in jail for murder." Clary said shuddering.

(He laugh hard)
"Yeah right. You're dad has enough connections to avoid that. Besides I doubt they would be so stupid to be obvious."

Clary laughs with him. He knows her family all too well. Then again he did have to deal with Jon and Valentine at their worst and he seems fine. Even after that he still wants to be with me.

"You're right." She says.

"So the other thing I want to talk to you about is the party." He says getting more serious. Clary stiffens slightly but doesn't let it show.

"Oh?" She asks.

"Yeah, I already have your gift picked out so it's not that." He looks at her slyly and she blushes. Damn my traitorous cheeks. "I want to know the rules ahead of time." Clary was about to open her mouth when he held up his hand. "I know Jon and he will more than likely have put rules in effect. I just rather know them ahead of time as to avoid him enjoying showing me the rules and their repercussions." He raised an eyebrow daring her to deny the statement. Clary can only nod her head and blush. He already knows how things go on.

"Very perceptive of you." She mock claps her hands. "Well, you will all be allowed to hug me and wish me happy birthday but other than that no one will really be allowed near me. And dancing is out of the question since the accident and Jon and my dad are beyond paranoid of me overdoing it on the dance floor." Sebastian looks genuinely disappointed and nods for her to continue. "But that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the party. Besides if Jon gets the stick out of his ass I might dance once or twice but that will most than likely be with either the girls or Simon." She shrugs. "Oh and the obvious rules, No one is allowed upstairs at all, No alcohol, and no breaking or stealing things. The soccer team will be security the whole night so invitation only people get in."

Sebastian was pensive for a second and then nodded. "Given everything that has recently happened I can get why those rules have been put in. Although it hurts to think Jon would see me as such a threat. Here I thought he saw me as a brother." He feigns hurt. They both look at each other for a second and burst into laughter.

He can always make the best out of a bad situation. We both know it would be a cold day in hell before Jon ever warms up to him that fast.

"He does love you. He just loves you far far away." She smirk and he mock scowls.

"Well damn, here I thought I finally made it through that had shell of his." He pouts. The cute put Clary had always loved. Out of the corner of her eyes she can see Simon sit up straighter and focus on them. She knows he is getting impatient and will come over sooner than later.

"Keep dreaming. Jon isn't that easy to win over. Well I'm tired from standing for so long. I'm going to go join everyone else at the bleachers." Clary excuses herself in the nicest way she can.

"Oh yeah my bad I forgot you need more rest. I'll see you around Clary." Sebastian smiles at her and they both walk away from each other.

Simon relaxes as Clary walks closer to him and finally exhales when she sits next to him.

"I was fine the whole time Si. Take it easy." Clary said as she rested her head on his shoulder.

"I will relax when you finally pick one guy and I will only have to worry about him." Simon said as he rested his head on hers.

"I will soon. Calm down. Besides don't act like that's it. You never liked him so don't lie. Now let's just relax until the bell rings." Clary effectively shushed him and they stayed like that until class was over.

O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O

Raphael's P.O.V.

Sitting in this stupid class almost all alone sucks. I cannot believe I got here early. I never do that. Why did I do that for this class? Ugh, what is wrong with me? Oh no. It's Clary. Of course it's her. She is the only thing that has changed. I cannot believe I am changing for a girl. Que estas haciendo hombre? (What are you doing man?)

Ugh! Clary Morgenstern is going to ruin me. There are so many girls here who still want to be with me. Even knowing that I don't want them for a long time. What is so special about her? When word spread of her accident I couldn't breathe. It took me forever o even calm down enough to make sense of what was going on. I haven't even kissed her or even held her and she is actually changing me. This sucks. I need to stay the hell away from her.

The door swings open and all my thoughts are gone. In walks Clary looking as beautiful as the first time I saw her. Nope, I can't stay away.

She walks over to her usual seat. Thankfully I arrived early enough to get the seat next to her. Her smile is so intoxicating. I should have sat behind her like last time. It is easier to hold her face in my hand. Well at least this way I can see her reaction better. Damn it! I'm acting all gooey. What is wrong with me!

"Hi." Oh great line. Menso. (Idiot)

"Hi." She cocks her head to the side looking a little confused. Why is she confused? Oh right.

"How are you Hermosa?" I can't believe I forgot to call her by her nickname. What is wrong with me?

"Oh now he remembers." She giggles. Yup I'm an idiot.

"I can never forget. Is it my fault I'd rather look at you than talk?" Okay that sounded kind of creepy.

She giggles while hiding her face. Kind of wish I could think but she isn't making this easy.

"Then look away I won't stop you." She raised her eyebrow at me practically daring me to continue. So I did and smirked in return. "Just don't let Jon catch you. He might want to give you an eye exam and trust me you don't want that." She smirked back and I stopped. She was right. The door was open and Jon would probably check up on her. Damn.

"Don't ruin my fun Hermosa. Besides if your brother gets to know me I'm sure he will love me." I gave her a small smile knowing full well there's no chance in hell that will happen. He hates me, and for good reason.

She raises her eyebrows at me knowing she doesn't have to respond to what I just said. Thankfully, since I rather not hear the truth out loud. Speak of the devil. Jon is standing at the door glaring at me. Clary turns and his expression changes. Duh. He waves at her and asks if she's okay. She nods and he winks at her goodbye.

"See? He always shows up." She says in a smug voice that doesn't fit my Hermosa. There you go again calling her yours.

"I never doubted it. He always ruins the mood." I sigh and look away for dramatic effect. It works since I can hear her giggle at my theatrics.

"Well it was going to either be him or the teacher . . . . . . . who just walked into the room. See?" She said as I turn to look at our teacher. Of course I can never have any time with her. Oh well. Soon enough I will.

"The gods hate me." I mutter under my breath but I could swear I saw Clary blush and smile before her hair got in the way.

This girl must have vampire hearing or something. I barely allowed any sound to escape my lips. For the rest of the class I kept stealing glances at her. I love my good vision. It really comes in handy at times like this. She looks okay but I still don't like her moving around. She looks so small to me. I still can't believe she is walking around after hearing from people how badly she was hurt. I thought she would be in a million tiny glass like pieces. My Hermosa is definitely tougher than she looks.

O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O.O

Class was unbearable for Raphael. He just kept glancing at Clary and unbeknownst to him she was stealing glances at him as well. Except she was looking at him in a different manner she couldn't yet figure out for herself. When class finally ended Raphael couldn't be more relieved. That relief was short lived when out of nowhere Jon appeared in the doorway. Raphael was furious. He wanted to take Clary to her next class with that bastard but Jon was here now. The bell had barely rung and here he was. Clary turned her back to Jon and gathered her things while mouthing 'maybe next time' and smiled goodbye. It wasn't much but to Raphael it meant the world. She was upset with Jon's sudden appearance. That would be enough for him for now. The other good thing was that Jon would also keep Jace away.

Jon was walking with Clary to her class. He was all too happy and showed it with a huge cocky smirk as he walked with Clary safely under his arm. Not that anyone would dare get near their path but he liked to be safe rather than sorry. Clary knew he had a smirk on his face but decided against making a scene. She knew it was hard on him dealing with everything and decided to give him a break.

When they got to Clarys class Jon walked in with her and put her bag down by her 'station' and kissed her head. He would usually leave her at the door but he saw Jace waiting for her so he decided to kick it up a notch for his benefit. After all he deserves it. Clary rolled her eyes as he left and to her surprise Jace left her alone. He stayed in his seat and sent a smile her way and that was it. Clary wanted to concentrate on their assignment but found that she couldn't. It surprised the hell out of her. She usually loved to be left alone but his sudden and unexpected aloofness took her by surprise. Jace was usually the most forward and albeit cocky one out of the guys. Raphael was forward but he was sweeter.

Clary began to wonder if maybe Jace has finally thrown in the towel. She felt a bit uneasy with this thought but decided to avoid the meaning behind it and forced herself to concentrate on her work.

Unbeknownst to her Jace hasn't thrown in the towel. He just values his ass more at the moment. Jace saw the tell tale glare Jon gave him as he left Clarys side. It was the same glare that preceded his beating. He decided to keep his distance since Jon more than likely has someone in the class watching him. He wouldn't put that past his over protecting ass.

Jace just kept stealing glances at Clary like a little school boy with a crush, which wasn't far from the truth, he felt at a lost. He wasn't completely lost though since he could sense eyes on him. A few of the girls he had messed with were looking at him and glaring at Clary. It wasn't fair to her but he had made mistakes already that he couldn't take back. If things didn't work out with her he promised himself he would rein in his wandering ways and stick to one girl to get over her. Not that he doubted he would win her heart but it was better to have a backup plan.

When the bell rang Jace was more than excited to hopefully be able to walk Clary out of school since he knew he wouldn't go near Jon's car so he had to settle for the outside of school. He gathered his things and walked over to her.

"Hey Clary." Clary looked a little startled but quickly composed herself.

"Hi Jace." She sounded a bit confused to him but he shrugged it off.

"Do you mind if I walk you out?" Jace asked with his signature smirk.

"Um. . . Sure but I'm not straight out to the Jon's car." Jace was curious for her to continue. "I am going out with Izzy and Maia so we have to get them on the way." Jace nodded and grabbed her bag. If Izzy and Maia were going with her then that meant he would be riding alone with Alec and that won't be fun at all.

They made small talk mostly about their assignments until two high pitched voices called Clarys name. Jace squirm a little at the pain in his ears. He knew one of those voices very well. Izzy and Maia waved at them and made their way to Clarys side. Izzy took Clarys bag from Jace and glared at him before he could even protest. He knew his short time with her was long gone now. He hugged Clary goodbye and kissed Izzy on her cheek and waved at Maia farewell. He needed Izzy to warm up to him again and he was making every effort he could to speed up the process.

The three girls made their way to the school parking lot and found Jon waiting for them at the front with the car running. They were glad they wouldn't have to walk too far and they all climbed in.

"Hey Clary." Jon kissed his sister hello. "Ladies." Jon smiled at Izzy and Maia who said "Hi Jon." In unison.

"Where to today?" Jon asked as he waited for them to get settled in and buckle up.

The girls looked at each other for a second before turning to Jon and loudly said "TAKIS."

Jon rolled his eyes and drove out of school property on their way to their favorite place to eat.

Finally I finished this chapter
Yes I know you all had to wait forever and for that I am sorry. Please don't be too mad at me in the comments. Summer break was too good of a distraction. I will be working diligently to get the next two chapters out to you all as soon as possible. Please review, message, fav or follow.

Also I have some news for those of you who like TWILIGHT.
I have decided to try my luck at a fanfic of Twilight. The main characters will be Edward, Bella and Aro. Yes you all read right. I have always liked the characters in some of story together and since I couldn't really find something that I loved completely I decided to make my own. I will be using all that I have learned from writing this story and implement it into this new one. I am still debating who should end up with whom but I will get to that eventually taking the reviews into consideration.
When I upload it I hope you all let me know what you think. I hope I can publish the first chapter in the first week of September. Here's hoping.
