(Friday 29th)

The day so far has gone off without any problems. Izzy and Simon have all confirmed R.S.V.P.s from the guests and they are going over every last detail. They all made a plan to go to Clarys house after school and decorate tonight to avoid more work tomorrow. Clary was happy she would finally be able to celebrate her birthday the she likes the most. Then at the end of the night she will tell the guy of her choice she wants to date him exclusively. It was a hard decision but she is sticking to her choice.

The school was a buzz about the party. Some had nasty little comments since they weren't invited but it's not like the whole school and their dates could possibly fit in the Morgenstern home. Clary just shrugs off the words since she knows that in life you can't please everyone. She would never know just how right she was since at that moment of her musings on the other side of the school three girls were doing their best to ruin her day.

"Any questions?" Camille asked her two accomplishes.

"No." They both said in unison.

"Hopefully there's something to cause a distraction and I can get you two in without getting caught but if that does happen then I won't stick around to get on Jon's bad side." Camille said with what the girls know to be her stern look.

They nodded in agreement knowing full well she would definitely throw them under the bus jus to preserve her image.

Clary sits in the car with her brother and friends as she tries to hold many bags up from failing. Many people gave her presents since they wouldn't see her tomorrow. She was surprised to have some of the teachers give her a present as well. Coach of course was a welcome surprise. He made sure to remind her not to strain herself and handed her a pair of new top of the line track shoes. She nearly cried on the spot. It must have cost him a nice amount but she wouldn't mention monetary value on a gift. Her mother taught her better.

Simon and Jon were their usual selves and insisted on inspecting the gifts just to make sure everything was ok. Leave it to them to make something as fun as opening a present nerve wrecking. 'Maybe I should date all four guys and give them heart attacks.' Clary thought.

She thought seriously about making them sit out the party but decided against it. Not only was it cruel but she knew them well enough that they wouldn't sit still. Oh well. Clary let them have their 'dramatic' moments and enjoyed her day.

"Earth to Clary!" Someone yelled from the backseat.

"Huh. What?" Clary said as she snapped out of it.

"Could you get your head out of the clouds long enough so we can go over the plan for tonight and tomorrow?" Maia asked as she rolled her eyes at Clarys attention span.

"Sorry Maia I just have my head somewhere else." Clary smiled and began talking party plans with her girls while Simon and Jon listened in. They really need to learn how to be inconspicuous.

"We're home." Jon announced and the girls' conversation stopped as they raced out of the car and into the house.

"With the way they were running you'd think you said 'free shoes inside' or something." Simon said and both boys chuckled and headed inside after them.

000

"Did you get everything ready for tomorrow?" Jocelyn asked her husband as he got off the phone.

"Yes. It's all taken care of. I made sure they know how important it is to be here on time and not a moment sooner or later." He said as he winked at his wife.

"Excellent. I think she will be over the moon with her present this year." She went to her husband and sat in his lap while looking him in the eyes. "Are you sure about this? I know how hard this must be to you after what happened earlier to her."

"Don't remind me. Besides we had our minds made up long ago on this. She deserves this." Valentine embraced his love and showed her just how much he loves her.

(Saturday 30th)

The sun broke through the curtains and illuminated the room and bouncing off the reflective surfaces. It finally made its way to Clarys face and caused the slow warmth that spread throughout her body. She slowly opened her eyes and then shot upright on her bed causing the room to spin for a second.

"Finally, today has arrived." Clary got out of her bed and made her way to her bathroom to shower and get ready for the busy day ahead.

When she returned to her bed she found her phone going crazy with calls and texts from her friends. Simon was on his way to have breakfast at her house. Izzy would be over after her family breakfast and so would Maia. Jon is more than likely waiting for her downstairs so she hopped off the bed and went to the kitchen.

Just as she suspected there was Jon with her parents with smiles on their faces talking about the party.

"There's my princess." Valentine said as he hugged his daughter and kissed her good morning.

"How did you sleep Clary?" Jocelyn asked as she handed her a plate of pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage.

"Great. I'm amazed I was able to sleep at all. I just couldn't stop thinking about today." Clary said excitingly as she sat next to her brother.

"Yeah well let's keep the excitement down until tonight. We wouldn't want you to overdo it today now would we?" Jon said as he gave his sister a stern look.

"Oh shut it. I have been fine. Everyone just made a bigger deal out of it than it was. I haven't felt any symptoms since that day so relax." She went to take a bite out of her eggs and then said. "You too dad. I love you both but babying me isn't going to keep me safe."

Jocelyn smiled at her daughter's way of handling the guys. She loved them but they tend to overdo it when it comes to them. Its bad enough Valentine insisted on a panic room for the house. It was an unnecessary expense that they hopefully will never use.

"So what's the plan for today honey?" Jocelyn asked changing the topic to help her out.

"Well after everyone is done eating the girls will come over and we will get everything out and ready for setting up since Jon, Simon and the team are coming so we don't have to do the heavy lifting." Her dad and brother raised an eyebrow each as if to say duh. "So I figured we would just clear things out to make more room and lock up all the rooms and then get ready next door at Izzys."

"Anything I can do to help?" Jocelyn asked already knowing the answer.

"No thanks mom we have it all covered. Besides I'm sure you would rather supervise to make sure no one here messes up anything." Clary said as she looked at her brother.

"I screwed up one time and no one lets me forget it. Geez." Jon throws his hands in the air. He accidentally followed his mothers' instructions backwards for a party she hosted and ended up having to move furniture as the party progressed. You would think that setting up a table blocking the entrance to the bathroom would have been a red flag.

"Clary don't tease your brother." Jocelyn said as she served herself another helping of pancakes.

"Okay. Sorry big bro." Clary said to Jon but he knew she didn't mean it. Teasing each other is second nature to them.

Simon arrived shortly after their conversation and everyone ate in peace. Clary could practically see Simon buzzing with electricity at the thought of being near Izzy all day and night. He was more than likely picturing her in her outfit for the party and Clary couldn't blame him. It was as if the girl didn't have the capacity to look bad in anything.

After Breakfast Clary and Simon went up to her room and waited for the girls to arrive. They finished clearing the house of valuables and breakable items and storing them in the other rooms. Then after the rooms were all locked they brought out the supplies. Usually she would have Simon or her brother help with the decorations but she knew this year no one would let her lift a finger.

Oh well, it's good to have the guys do all the work. Around two in the afternoon after the family had had lunch there was a series of people coming into the house. The D.J. came extra early to set up the main living room and to double check the wiring. The entire Soccer team showed up with their change of clothes. All minus Jace of course who was left out of the party plans.

The caterers would be there around seven to setup and put out the food. Until then everyone was busy. When four rolled around Izzy nearly fainted when she saw the time. She rushed the girls back into Clarys room to get their things so they could get ready at her house. They all still had to shower, do their hair, makeup, nails and make it on time for the party. Clary thought they had more than enough time but by the looks Maia and Izzy gave her she knew she was dead wrong.

The girls gathered all of their things to head next door when Clary caught her brother trying to sneak a peek at her dress. She promptly kicked him out on his ass. She wasn't going to let him or her dad see her outfit until the last possible moment so that it would be too late to change. She left Simons change of clothes on her bed and went next door.

When the girls walked in Clary instantly tensed. Jace and Alec were witting on the couch watching TV together. She didn't want to think of just how awkward she would feel when all four guys showed up at her house in a few hours. Shake it off Clary. Stay focused.

"Hey guys were just going to be upstairs so no interruptions. Beauty takes time." Izzy said to her brothers. Just when they were about to talk a cute little voice chimed in.

"But you're already pretty." Little Max said from the stairs.

"Awwe." The girls said in unison while Alec and Jace rolled their eyes. They were used to Max taking away all of the female attention when he turned his cuteness on.

"He is so sweet Iz." Clary said as Max smiled.

"Yes. I'm so happy I was blessed with at least one brother who doesn't make me mad every time he opens his mouth." Jace and Alec instantly perked their heads up and glared at their sister. Its one thing to tease when they are alone but it is another thing entirely when the girl they are both pining for is standing right there.
"You guys know I'm playing." The girls laughed and followed Izzy up the stairs to her room. "Love you."

Jace and Alec were both suddenly very uncomfortable to be in their own home. They both wanted to stay and see Clary before the party but since the other would be there it would just make the situation uncomfortable. Without saying a word to each other they simply got up and went their separate ways. Alec drove away to get some distance and maybe get his hair done. Jace asked Robert to borrow the car and went straight to the barber shop. He already had a regimen in mind to blow Clarys mind. He just knew that if he made himself irresistible she would chose him.

000

"It's only four why do we have to get ready so early?" Clary still couldn't get why.

"Beauty takes time so shut it." Izzy said as she went into beautician mode. "Maia you can shower first and then I'll go since Clary showered this morning."

"You don't have to tell me twice." Maia grabbed her bag and went into the bathroom.

Clary and Izzy grabbed the dresses and laid them out on the bed side by side. They both set everything up while Maia was showering. By the time she came out the girls had set up the clothes, shoes, makeup, jewelry and hair tools already.

"Wow how long did I take?" Maia asked since she was looking at an entirely different room.

The two girls laughed at the look on Maia's face. Izzy may have gone a bit overboard on the whole room thing. She put out more options than they needed.

"You weren't gone long." Izzy showed her the vanity with the blow dryer already plugged in. "Dry your hair while I shower and Clary can help you get ready. Then we will both help you and make you perfect." Izzy grabbed her robe and darted off into the bathroom.

Maia and Clary looked at each other in the mirror and stifled a giggle. Izzy had great hearing. Clary dried Maia's hair for her since she was bored. Maia just loved feeling pampered.

"Why don't you look excited?" Maia asked when she noticed Clarys facial expression.

"I am. It's just a little stressing knowing that in a few hours I'm going to tell one of the four guys who I choose."

"You chose already?" Maia asked excitedly.

"Yes. But I'm not saying until I tell him first. It was a hard choice but I feel like I made the right one."

"Please tell me it's one of my brothers." Izzy said as she opened the door. Yup that girl has super hearing.

"Not a clue." Clary said as a smirked appeared on her face. The pouty face Izzy made was cute.

"Oh come one. One little hint." Maia said trying to help out her friend.

"No. I want it to be private and special." Both girls nodded but they weren't happy.

The girls began to untangle and dry their hair as Clary simply went through the jewelry. She couldn't make up her mind on how to tell him. She wanted it to be private but also special and sweet. You're over thinking again.

(6:30 p.m.)

The girls were dressed and ready to go. Maia was in a beautiful gold sequined one shoulder strap dress that shimmered without the light. She paired it with gold strappy high heels that made her look like a Greek goddess. She styled her hair to be in soft curls that cascaded down her back. Her makeup consisted of a neutral colored Smokey eye with matte lipstick in a soft brown color. She decided against jewelry since it wasn't her style but Izzy insisted and she donned a gold snake bracelet on her right wrist that seemed to wrap around her naturally. Maia was sure to give Jordan a heart attack.

Izzy looked like seduction incarnate. The black long sleeved lace dress hugged her body in all the right places making her look tantalizing. She donned a half up do with 'diamonds' pinned into her hair. Her shoes were black pumps with crystals at the base making her outfit pop more. Her makeup consisted of deep red lipstick with a softer Smokey eye to give more attention to her dress. Izzy decided against jewelry since the diamonds accents were enough. Clary would have felt jealous of her friends if they hadn't completely remade her.

Clary wore an emerald green Marylyn Monroe inspired dress. The color matched her eyes and made her natural red hair pop. Izzy and Maia collaborated on her hair. It took the longest. They managed to straightened and add soft waves. Not curls. Her hair was longer and now rested on her lower back. Clary loved it. It made the look shine. Izzy decided on Maia's advice and only did her eyes and lips. Clary didn't need blush since she was a walking tomato half the time. Her eyes were a copy of Izzys and transformed Clarys usual sweet girl look. They were all sure none of the guys in her house would be hay but they didn't care. She looked perfect. The shoes were a bit short but that was mostly for the fact that she didn't want her dad to throw a fit over them and make her change them. Although she was looking forward as to how he would react to the dress.

The girls stood in Izzys bathroom and snapping pictures on Izzys insistence. Apparently it was a must but she figured it would be pointless to argue since she would still have her picture taken at her party.

"We look great." Maia said as she made a pouty face in the mirror.

"I know." Izzy simply scrutinized over every inch of her body. "We should head next door."

"Yeah, I think my dad will come over soon if he doesn't see me soon."

The girls gathered up all of their things except for Izzy and headed to the front door. A little gasp made them stop. At the bottom of the stairs stood little Max.

"You look like angels."

"Awwe." The girls said in unison.

"I am in love with him now." Clary said as she held her hand over her heart.

"Me too." Maia added.

"Too bad he's mine." Izzy said as she hugged her brother. "We will be next door. I won't be back until later so behave."

"I will." Max smiled up at the girls. "Bye."

"Bye cutie." "Bye Max." "Bye angel." The girls said their goodbyes and left.

"OMG are you sure I can't keep him?" Maia asked.

"I'm sure. He's my baby brother and I'm not letting him go." Izzy said proudly.

"Then can I trade you? I need a little more cuteness in a brother." Clary said and the girls laughed. Jon was in no way cute unless he wanted to be and that was rare.

They made their way into the house and the room froze. There were three guys from the soccer team doing some last minute setup and the look on their faces was priceless. Clary had a sudden moment of fear rush into her. Maia knowing her friend just held her hand and steered her into the house. The guys quickly composed themselves and left that side of the house. They knew hoe Jon and his dad would react and the safest place would be far away. Plus it would be a good idea to warn the others. Jocelyn was in the kitchen with the caterers when she noticed the girls.

"Girls you look gorgeous!" Jocelyn rushed to hug her daughter and the two girls at the same time. She held them tight and then whispered.
"Don't worry ill handle the boys with you."

Upon hearing that the girls were back Simon went to get Jon and Valentine. When they all made their way to the kitchen they froze. Jon looked mad as hell. His baby sister wasn't a baby anymore and it could not be more evident than that moment. What the fuck does she think she is wearing? Fuck no.

Valentine wanted to cover her up with the curtains. He then became very aware of the other boys in the house and the fact that they would be leaving. We are not leaving. Fuck that.

Simon was mad for a second until he saw Izzy. Then all his thoughts only focused on her and he wasn't mad anymore. He was actually a little jealous since a lot of jocks were in the house. Not to mention all of the guys who are coming. I definitely don't stand a chance.

No one said a word. Clary was trying not to let her mood go down but it's pretty hard when your dad has a death look on his face. Jocelyn was about to say something when Jordan walked in and saw Maia.

"Sweetheart you look amazing." He said as he went to hug her. Maia twirled around and hugged him again. Izzy and Clary took that cue and awed at the couple.
"Oh sorry, Izzy Clary you both look beautiful as well."

"Thanks Jordan." The girls said in unison. They do that a lot.

"Don't you agree Jon?" Jordan asked his friend giving him a quick glare to snap out of it. Jordan always comes to the rescue.

"Uh yeah. You look beautiful Clary." Jon said finally finding his words. Well the right words.

"Thanks big bro." Clary said hoping the other two would speak so they could get it over with.

"Yeah you all look great." Simon was the second to find his words. He was hoping he wasn't too obvious in staring at Izzy. Too bad they ALL noticed it.

The girls smiled and only waited for Valentine to talk. The man could speak. He simply nodded and gave a forced smile and just stood there. Clary was a little disappointed but at least he didn't blow his top. Jocelyn glared at her husband who noticed and was suddenly a bit scared. He rarely ever got a glare from her but when he did it was bad.

"Girls why don't you go leave those bags upstairs and make sure everything is safely put away." Jocelyn said so she could get the girls out of earshot when she 'talked' to the idiots.

"Sure mom." The girls left gladly.

Once the girls were gone Jocelyn turns and glares at the three morons in front of her.
"Jordan, could you excuse us?" She asked in a sweet voice that had an angry undertone.

"Gladly." Jordan bolted. Traitor. Jon thought.

"What is wrong with you three?" They stayed quiet. They knew better.
"Jon, Jordan should not have had to save you from the stupid moment you just had. Your sister was happy when she walked in and you three nearly ruined it. Today is her day so drop whatever it is you think of what she is wearing. She is growing up and this is only the beginning." At her words they tensed. None of them liked it. Especially Valentine. He wanted her to stay his baby forever.

"Simon, you should be ashamed for the way you were looking at Isabelle. You looked like you had never seen a girl before. You need to apologize and mean it or I will talk to your mother about it." Simon paled. It would be hard enough to talk to her but to have his mother brought into this would be hell on earth.

"Valentine, you hurt her feelings. You couldn't even open your mouth to say one nice word to her. She looked like she wanted to cry. What the hell is wrong with you! You will apologize to her. She needs to know her father will always support her and that he knows she is growing up."

Jocelyn started to leave the room and then turned.
"When I said fix it I meant right now." She glared until they moved and she made her way out of the kitchen and out to the porch where the caterers were setting everything up.
"Honestly it's like I am surrounded by idiots."

000

Maia and Jordan were downstairs helping out the rest of the team. Izzy was with Simon outside who was apologizing for his rude behavior. Izzy laughed and told him it was no big deal. She was just surprise he didn't drool. Simon blushed and told her thanks for forgiving him. He walked away to help Jocelyn and Izzy just stood there feeling a little bad since she was actually trying to flirt. She had never had a problem before. She needed Clarys help.

Clary was in her room with her dad and brother who kept apologizing for their behavior. Jon and Valentine agreed that they still didn't like it but they would learn to deal with it. She was happy. Even though it was more than likely her mother who made them come she was happy none the less. They hugged and left her room.

"If you leave her alone with any boy tonight I will cut off your balls. Got it." Valentine said to his now terrified son.

"Yes." Jon instinctively cupped himself.

"Good. I will be in my study."

Jon stood there and then shook it off. Even though his father is trying to accept the changes in Clary he is still himself. Jon would be glued to his sister if he had to. Then he remembered that he didn't just have to worry about four guys tonight but a houseful. Well Fuck.

000

(Next door)

Alec came back home before his brother. He decided to go all out. He got his hair cut so that more hair comes forward and trimmed the sides. Then he stopped at a few stores his sister had mentioned before and bought a completely new outfit. Before he did anything else he showered and sprayed on his new cologne. Hope you like it Clary. When he was finished getting dressed he hoped he had made the right decision in clothes. He would have gotten Izzys opinion but knowing her she would have blown a fuse trying to scramble an outfit for him in such short time.

Jace on the other hand was exuding confidence. After he got his hair styled he decided to go to a boutique nearby and check out a few things. Since Clary was going to be his girlfriend tonight he thought he should step up his game and plan his anniversary and surprise gifts ahead of time. Clary you are a lucky girl.

000

Clary was left alone waiting in her room. Occasionally someone would come and stay with her for a few minutes but they would leave to take care of other things. Maia was mostly with Jordan except when Jocelyn needed her. Izzy was with Simon who tried his hardest to not stare. He couldn't get the clue that Izzy was with him on purpose. Simon kept coming back when he or his mom needed confirmation on something. Jon was mostly coming in to make sure she was alone and no guys from the team snuck into her room. None of them would look at him in the eye after they saw her.

Clary was happy to be alone in between their visits. She was becoming more and more nervous as the time neared 8. She didn't know how to tell him. She knew who she wanted to be with but telling him would be hard. She also didn't know how to break the news to the others. Hopefully the girls will help her figure it out. Clary was taken out of her thoughts by the music coming from downstairs. That's when Maia and Izzy walked into her room. It was now 7:45 and people have started to arrive.

"I had no idea just how popular your parties are." Izzy said as she and Maia sat next to Clary by the window. They watched as person after person showed up.

"We told you but no Izzy has to see it to believe it." Maia said and Izzy rolled her eyes at her.

"Is everything set up?" Clary asked.

"Yes, Jordan has the first 'shift' at the door with Michael. Simon is going over everything with your mother and triple checking things. Your dad is pretty much drilling the rules into Jon and making sure he locked up the liquor and rooms." Maia said.

"Well sounds like I was barely needed at all." Clary said with a dry laugh. Her nerves were getting to her a bit.

"You know it's because of what Kaelie did. No one wants you to lift a finger." Maia reassured her.

"I hope she doesn't ever dare to show her face here tonight or I will be more than happy to be the one to throw her out." Izzy said with enthusiasm.

"Don't be mean. I'm still sure she didn't do it on purpose." Izzy was about to say something but Clary held her hand up. "She's innocent until proven guilty." She relented and just nodded. Being the daughter of a lawyer sometimes had its advantages.

The girls Stayed upstairs talking and laughing until Simon came in and told them it was time to go downstairs. Clary took a deep breath and headed towards the door. Let the party begin.

Yes does stop there. It was way too long and I had to split it. Sorry, the second part will be uploaded later. Hope you all do like this first part, I had lots of fun making it. Don't forget to review.

Oh I also sometimes post teasers on my profile on the 'An Indecisive Heart' section.
