I woke up the next day and had breakfast when Akiko called. "Hey baby whatcha up to?" she said. Nothing much just gonna work on my car I said. "Mind if I come over?" she said. Not at all sweetheart I said. "Ok" she said. Hey I'll pick you up I said. "Ok see ya then" she said. I went to the parking garage and jumped in my Civic. I drove off reaching Akiko's apartment with in an hour. I beeped the horn and Akiko came down. She was wearing a black shirt that exposed her belly along with a mini skirt and black high heels. "Hey sweetie did you sleep good?" she asked. Yeah I'm well rested I said. We drove back to Frank's penthouse. When we got there I got on the phone and called Juan, Mickey, Luis and Joe to discuss our plans. "Ok so I found a good place to take over next" said Juan. "West Park, it's a small area near Chinatown" said Juan. Yeah that place is crawling with racers I said. "West Park is also small so there shouldn't be that many races" said Mickey. We loaded up and the guys drove off. Akiko what do you think about Matt coming back? I asked. "Not gonna change our relationship" she said rubbing my back. "I'm more happy with you than I was with Matt, he treated me like crap. Don't worry he's gonna pay soon enough I assured. Hey Akiko how would like to ride shotgun for these races?. "I'd love to" she said hopping in the passenger seat. I got in my car and got into gear. We arrived at the first race, I was up against Quentin, Kazuo and Matt. "Yo Weakling you think you can take me on now?" Matt said with a smirk. "Yes he can" Akiko said. "Come on you know you want me back" said Matt. I revved my Civic and geared off. The first lap I was behind Quentin untill I sideswiped his car making him spin out. I was in first but then I saw Matt creeping on my left. So I ran interference by blocking his lane and power sliding to turn. The 2nd and final lap was still tough because Matt was tailing me along with Kazuo and Quentin who were not far behind. I decided run through alley drifting out the end to avoid an ice cream truck. I zoomed past the line ahead of the others. "Nice job" Akiko said kissing me on the cheek. I collected the $15,000 cash reward. "Nice run Shadow Kingz" Matt said in a mocking tone. Same as you I said sarcastically. Matt drove off and I got in my car to drive to the next race location. As I was about to drive off I saw Carlos, Jose, Matt and Paul surround me. Carlos pulled up next to me. "You think you can take us on?" Carlos asked. Yeah I know I can I said glaring at Carlos. "Kid you don't know what your up against" Carlos said. With that Carlos and the others left. "That guy talks so much shit" Akiko said. I agreed with that I said. We arrived at the next race location, it was a sprint. It was me, Juan, and Mickey against Jose, Quentin and Kazuo. The first part me and Juan were ahead with Jose and Mickey struggling behind. I let Juan ahead while I took a shortcut through a skate park. I saw Jose was behind me so I blocked his lane and swerved to avoid hitting a car. Mickey ended up crossing the finish line first while me and Juan were behind. West Park was ours now so we split off after the race. "Nice run, that was smooth" Akiko said. I dropped Akiko off and went home. It was 8:00 when I got home so I called it a night and went to sleep.
