It's funny how initially I wrote because I wanted to and now I'm doing it for you all. Love you guys :*

It is your reviews that make me want to carry on. :')

There is this one old review that totally cracked me up which said that a character who has a horrible back story can't be perfect. LOL. I guess if you read the story you analysis Liz is faaar from perfect. Gosh her emotional instability gives me nightmares and smart people get it. Haters will always hate. :P

IMPORTANT: For all those who have liked my facebook page, you guys will get to see the outfits I describe in chapters. And those who haven't liked that page yet go like it please. :)

Elizabeth's ring is also up on the page ;)

DISCLAIMER: I OWN THIS STORY'S PLOT AND CHARACTERS.

17 hours left.

"Hey baby, wake up." I heard a soft yet heavy voice.

"Give me 2" I grumbled. I needed more sleep.

He lay next to me, sighed and started playing with my hair.

"2 minutes are up, wake up." He said again.

"Already?" I opened one eye and groaned. "Ever since I got engaged to you I get no sleep. It's so unfair." I joked.

I looked at him with both eyes to make sure he understood I was joking. With him I could never tell but with the smile laying on his lips told me he wasn't offended.

He kissed my temple and said "Probably shouldn't have kept you out too late."

"Probably" I said. I moved closer to David and cuddled.

Recalling the events from yesterday I asked him "Did you get a chance to talk to James about our situation?"

His face dramatically turned hard "Yes, I've doubled security on you since you stupidly said you'd kill yourself in 24 hours."

"Hey!" I protested "I saved your life you know."

"At the expense of your life." He interrupted. "So we're keeping an eye on you." He rubbed his eyes.

"You're tired. Didn't you get any sleep last night?"

"No I lost track of time with James, we were trying to figure out who 'they' could be and the extra precautionary steps we need to take."

"No wonder you look tired."

"I'm a vampire love, I don't need sleep."

I slightly got up to look in his eyes, my hand still lying on his chest and his arm still around me.

"I'm really worried."

"Don't be, I won't let anything happen to you. I promise." He lightly traced my cheek with his other hand.

"I'm not worried about myself.. I'm worried about you; I won't be able to live with myself if something happens to you."

"Don't worry about me love, very few things in this world can kill me. Just don't do anything rash, stay alive, for me."

"I really have to go now. You have half an hour to get ready and come downstairs. I don't want father to have another excuse to act like a dickhead."

I nodded and got out of bed as he vanished after giving me a kiss.

Just as I exited the bathroom three maids were already waiting for me.

I decided I wanted to wear something bright as opposed to the vampire favorites; black and red.

I got dressed in a really striking yellow outfit with a skirt and orange heels with a matching bag. (Hard to describe. Check out the page)

I applied a bit of make up because surrounded by these gorgeous vampires I felt a little self conscious. I mean who wouldn't right? They were just so pretty.

All set for breakfast I left our room only to be welcomed by 15 men in suits.

"Umm.."

"We are your security detail ma'am."

Ohh so they were going to escort me and stay with me to keep an eye on me. Great. Just what I needed. Babysitters.

In a way I understood. David wanted me to be protected. At least until there was no imminent threat on either of our lives.

The entire gardens were set up with portable gazebos and each one had tables with a few vampires sitting on it and chatting with each other.

I immediately found the table where my new group of friends sat. Getting there was a hassle in itself since everyone wanted to meet me.

They loved my outfit and praised me a lot. One even went as far as to say I would make a great queen because I had the face of a princess. That compliment coming from a vampire meant a lot to me. Maybe I underestimate myself.

'You look beautiful.' I heard David's voice in my head. 'I am having a hard time keeping my eyes off of you. Look at all these men ogling you. I could just tear their heads off.'

I laughed in my head and said thank you David.

By the time I got to my destination I was exhausted and not even a quarter of the day had passed.

Why do these vampires want a week to socialize? I don't even know what to talk to them about.

So today these girls decided to make me familiarize with the current scandals. Who dates who? Who got dumped and how? Who fought with whom over what? And the like. It was all very entertaining.

Especially with vampire heightened senses I assumed cheating on ones spouse would be near impossible but even those had been covered. Why bother cheating when you know someday you'll eventually be caught.

Breakfast was being served so I had to join David at the table. It was getting slightly annoying to be followed with 15 men. As if it wasn't already over crowded. Everyone was looking at me like I had grown a third head due to the security detail.

'You'll get used to it' I heard David say in my head.

Not likely. I projected back.

He gave me his hand and I took it as he led us to the royal gazebo.

I noticed there were no plates on the tables. That was weird.

As we settled in our seats, King Edward announced, "in honor of my lovely future daughter in law I have a special breakfast for you. Let it begin."

Just as he sat there seemed to be a hundred people walking towards us and just in the next second each vampire had a human and they tore into their veins. It happened so fast that I did not see this coming!

The minutes I saw this happening I couldn't help hyperventilate and panic. Seeing so many humans being slaughtered and the vampires viciously digging in was a mind boggling sight. I could have been one of them! Poor humans!

I could feel tears pricking my eyes but I knew I couldn't shed them.

I hasn't realized how tight I had held David's hand and how tight he had equally held me.

'Calm down. Take deep breaths. Close your eyes.' His soothing voice said in my head. 'Count to ten slowly.'

'Please David make them stop.'

'I can't. It's father's retaliation for my misbehavior yesterday. I'm really sorry.'

I stayed silent. By the time my counting had reached 10 I heard David say "That's enough. Let's not forget civilian casualties are still considered as murder. Let's not get carried away with fathers offer shall we?"

'At least no one died.'

'Thank you David.'

"Liz darling, why don't you have some breakfast as well." King Edward said in a sugar coated voice handing me a glass of blood.

"No thank you" I replied in the same tone.

"Father that's enough." David said surprising most of us and earning a glare from the King.

It was interesting to see people's reaction. It seemed David rarely ever spoke up against the king and now he was. Because of me. I didn't know if I should feel bad or good about it.

'Hey. Someone has to protect and respect you. It's my job to defend you even if it's against the king or my father.'

That made me melt. 'I love you David.'

He looked at me with a smile that showed he loved me too.

Ignoring everyone else around us David said smiling "Next we're all going riding; you'll have to get in your riding gear."

"Finally something I'd enjoy." Then I whispered. "It's too much socializing I don't know what to say to them; I can barely remember their names."

"I'll help you next time." He gave me a light peck and I noticed everyone was getting up, probably to change their gowns and dresses into something fit for riding.

"I'll be right back" I told him.

"Take your time, join us at the stables. In fact come to Sly's stable"

"Okay" I said and walked away to our room followed by 15 guards.

Suddenly though it felt like I lost control of my body and fell to the floor. The fall in itself hurt yet I assumed the control I had lost could possibly be because of some physical defect in me. But what scared me the most was the voice in my head that said "17 hours left.."

Let me know what you think by reviewing, I was going to post this sooner but my net stopped working, do check out the page too and let me know what you think about the ring and her outfit for this chapter. :)

If you guys don't check it out then I guess I'm going to stop putting up pictures there.

Also any suggestions on which actor could portray David? I had already chosen Liz's character, let me know if she matches with the story.

Love Z.
