So I'm going to be replying to your reviews on the facebook page because it's easier that way for me.

I am literally having anxiety attacks because this book is nearing its ending and I feel I was unable to portray the bad guys well enough and I feel you'll be disappointed. :(

DISCLAIMER: I OWN THIS STORY'S PLOT AND CHARACTERS.

Tick Tock.

I was confused as to why he would ask me such a question. The guards were right here a second ago.

Looking at the confusion he could tell I had no idea what he was talking about so he just whispered "Nevermind, just be careful, I can't bear to lose you too."

I moved feeling weary, not wanting to move and be subjected to such excruciating pain again.

'We need to talk.' I said to him through my mind link.

"Please excuse us" David said to the crowd around us.

He picked me up bridal style and in a second we were in our room.

"Did you find out anything when you went to deal with the werewolves?"

"Yeah it seems they weren't in control, they claim to have had an out of body experience. Either they are trying to cover their asses or they were actually being controlled by someone else."

"I don't know anything about your history with werewolves but aren't they very scared of vampires? But last time weren't you at the brink of war with them?" questions questions, Christian was right; I really do need to know about my history if I was going to be part of this world in the future.

"We have a very long history with werewolves and I wouldn't say it hasn't been a power struggle but along this rocky road every supernatural being has submitted to our reign of power and maintains this balance due to our just dealings with injustice and our superiority in race. They are, to an extent, scared of us. But this specific werewolf pack is our ally and I don't think they lied. Maybe someone powerful enough controlled them. It is a bit hard to control an entire pack. I would say maybe the alpha was being controlled when he gave the order but that's not what happened, they claim every single one of them was being controlled."

"I have to tell you something.."

"What is it?"

"I know I never learn from my mistakes, but since we're on the topic of being controlled, I didn't fall in the morning because I tripped, I lost control of my body. I thought it could've been from the fiasco earlier which may have made me lose my balance but I heard the voice in my head."

He sighed. "Why do you not trust me enough to tell me this?" he lightly touched my face.

"It's not about trust, what's to say I'm not crazy? Because you can't hear the voice in my head. Even angel jumping wasn't just a coincidence."

"I feel so helpless. I don't know what to do, all our investigations are fruitless. I've been at it for centuries and we can't figure it out. I just can't lose you."

He keeps saying he can't lose me.. I can't even think of what he's going through. Lost in thought I heard him say "You know I love you right?"

I nodded my head. "I know that.. I wish I could help you- oh wait! Isn't Samantha able to control people and their actions? Do you think she is strong enough to control a pack of werewolves?"

"Actually now that I think about it.. If she could control my actions centuries ago she would be much stronger now. I never thought about this before but do you think she could be part of this?"

"You'd know better."

"Hmm." He took his phone out and the next words out of his mouth were; "Arrest Samantha."

"Wait what? Are you sure about this?-" He silenced me before I could say anything else. He couldn't be serious right? This was all speculation and we didn't really have any proof. Can't hold someone for a crime without any proof right? Or maybe the laws here were a bit different.

"Don't care. You have my approval." He disconnected the phone just as fast as he had dialed.

I raised my concerns and he told me not to worry about it. Any suspicions about her being part of this twisted game meant they could arrest her on mere speculation. It was equivalent to us arresting a person for an act of terrorism.

"David.. if I'm really going to die..-"

"You're not going to die." He interrupted me.

"Stop cutting me short." I went and sat in his lap. "If I'm going to die today I want you to know that I love you a lot and it won't be your fault." Looking at him look serious I joked; "Specially don't wanna die a virgin!" I laughed at that while he responded with a sweet smile and his cheeks went all red.

"You're so red in the face it's actually kinda cute. What are you thinking right now?"

"I'm actually thinking about our first kids." He smiled.

"You remember it?"

"How can I forget it?"

"I know right? It was perfect. We were-"

"Actually.. You don't know about our first kiss." He winked at me.

"No way." I lightly slapped his shoulder. "I think I'd remember our first kiss. Unless you made me forget." I raised an eyebrow.

"You were drunk. That's why you don't remember."

"Oh my God really?" Time for me to go red in the face.

"Yeah, remember the day before you met my grandfather? You were so drunk you kissed me."

"I kissed you?"

"Yep. You wanted to do much more than just kiss."

Although I was embarrassed and wanted to ask more questions I decided to be bold. So I replied "I want to do much more than just kiss you right now too." I was partially serious about not wanting to die a Virgin. So I kissed him.

One thing led to another but when I tried to take his jacket off he got off of me.

"I'm assuming you did the same that night." I said a little disappointed.

"And you thought that was me rejecting you. When in truth I was trying to protect you."

"Well I don't need your protection now." I said breathlessly and kissed him again only to have him pull away again.

"You're not going to die."

"You don't know that." I said feeling weak and defeated.

"You're not going to die." He said with more conviction and grabbed my chin to prove his point. "And once this is cleared up and we don't have this pressure on our heads we'll spend some quality time and some long long long hours in bed together. But till then I'm not letting you give into pressures. I want your first time to be special, just like you."

Maybe he just didn't want this..

"Don't think that because it's not true for a second. I want you more than you can even imagine. Every time I look at you I want to ravish you.-"

"Then why don't you?" I said with tears in my eyes. I didn't even start on the fact that he just read a personal thought. Hello. Invasion of privacy.

"Because it's not the right time."

"What if there's never a right time? What if I don't make it?" I was having this gut wrenching feeling that something bad is going to happen.

"I will not let anything happen to you!"

"Like you could stop this from happening to all those other girls?!"

The minute I said that I regretted it.

"I didn't mean-"

"It's alright. I am an incompetent ruler helpless to have stopped their untimely deaths from occurring. But I wasn't in love with them. I didn't really care enough to do something about it. Your case is different. I'll die trying and I'm going to find that son of a bitch who is behind this even if it's the last thing I do."

I was just processing everything and finally accepting reality. It was brutal coming to terms with the fact that I may be dying by the end of today.

Before we could discuss this issue any further we were interrupted by a loud sound erupting from the door and an angry king bellowed at David. "How dare you order an arrest of one of the royals without my permission and at my event none the less! Have you lost your mind? How did you think it would play out with the rest of the guests? All hell has broke out loose! No one knows if they are safe from such baseless allegations!"

"Calm down father. There is some strong speculation about her involvement in the matter. Although I do not owe you an explanation..."

He seemed to calm down once David has explained everything to him.

"Why didn't you tell me all this earlier?"

David rolled his eyes. "I had my reasons father. Let's go to the hall and reconvene in 10"

King Edward nodded and left as fast as he had dashed in.

"Why don't you get into something semi-formal?"

"God. You vampires really love to play dress up." I rolled my eyes. "I swear it's like a new outfit for just two hours."

I got into a nice polka dot dress that came to a little below my knees. Accessorised it with a hat and black shoes.

"You look gorgeous as always."

"Why thank you Prince David." I winked.

Arm in arm we went downstairs at human pace.

"You have fully recovered from last night right?"

"Somewhat. And by the way I don't plan to leave you even for a second now. So get used to hanging on my arm." He joked.

"Wouldn't want to be on anyone else's arm either." I joked back.

By the time we got there every one was present. After David saying a few words everyone seemed to have slipped back in ease.

I saw Lindsay hanging around with a couple of ladies. I let go off David's arm but he stopped me. "Where do you want to go?"

"I'll stay in your line of vision but seriously you can't expect me to literally stick to you while you talk to men about all your politics."

He sighed and said "fine but not to far." He gave me a peck and let me go.

I headed over to Lindsay and we chatted a little having a good time.

"Lindsay, you have been like a sister to me and I love you. I hope you know just how much you mean to me and how much I admire you. You have helped me so much in this entire transition and you have such grace. Everyone must envy you so much." I smiled and hugged her.

She hugged me back "Aww I love you too. And the feeling is mutual. I wouldn't want anyone but you as my sister in law. I couldn't have hoped for anyone better. You're my best friend. Life would be incomplete without you."

With that we parted and I found my parents. "Mom! Dad! God I'd think you're even more busy than the king and queen at this event!"

"What can I say? There is just so much to catch up on since we had to pull a disappearing act from society. It's good to be back." Said my mom.

"Which reminds me" I started. "I never really thanked you for the sacrifices you both made to keep me safe or for thinking I am fit enough for David. I mean a few months back I thought you guys had trapped me in a life I didn't want and now I want nothing more than be at David's side for the rest of my life." However short it may be, I thought.

"Of course sweety, you don't need to thank us it's what every parent would've done in our position." Said my dad giving me a hug. Which seemed so out of character now since we never really had gotten back to our old routine and the way we used to be. Hugs just weren't something we'd give out now. But this simple gesture meant so much more to me than I could imagine. I wish I had focused more of my time to have spent with my family and reunited with them making things as they used to be. Working on my relationship with them. I hugged my mom too as she told me that she couldn't have wished for a better daughter. We parted after I told them how much I loved them and how much they loved me.
Next I went to the group of my new friends and told them how awesome they were.

Then I called My old group; Tracy silver and everyone. Had a conference call with them and told them about the royal event going on these days while they updated me on their lives. Tracy and jake had finally told each other how they felt and were now dating while Daniel stayed quite most of the conversation. He was only there out of courtesy so that the rest wouldn't suspect anything. And considering his kiss wasn't my first I wasn't too mean to him either.

"I wish you all were here with me at these events. It's one after the other and Tracy you'd have loved the fashion. I mean everyone changes every two hours! Anyway got to go change now for the next event!" We all laughed and I continued "It was great catching up to you guys. We should do this more often. I love you all and miss you guys so much!"

They said a few sweet things and I put the phone down when we were done.

The hall was being cleared as everyone was going to prepare for the ball.

I went to David and gave him a sweet kiss on the lips.

It was getting dark as we went back upstairs.

"You think I don't know what you're up to?" Asked David quietly.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"You know damn well what I'm talking about. You're saying goodbye to everyone in your own way. You know I won't let anything happen to you right?"

"I know. But what's the harm in being cautious?"

"You haven't had another vision have you? Or heard that voice in your head?"

"No I haven't, which is odd come to think about it."

"It's probably because we have Samantha. She must be a big part of it.."

"Maybe. I guess only time will tell."

We got to our room and wore a lavish black dress. If it's the last dress I wear I better make damn sure I look smoking hot.

And since vampires seem to love black might as well make a statement in it.

This dress had a bodice of sequence with a V neck and then black fabric flowed down till the floor with a slit that went up my leg. I accessorized it with some sexy heels. I kept my hair open and put some make up on. I also put on red lipstick going for a bold look.

When I got out David's eyes nearly popped out and he whistled. I gave him a smile and put of the diamond jewellery he had gifted to me.

"I love you baby." David smiled.

"I love you too David."

"I want to marry you as soon as this week is over!"

"I think our wedding preparations would take longer" I joked. "I haven't even went shopping for a wedding dress. Lindsay and I will go crazy. It's something I will enjoy very much!"

"Why wait? Let's start shopping from tomorrow onwards. You'll find the perfect dress and if you don't we can always get it made." He gave me a light peck on my lips and I smiled feeling truly happy and content with my life.

On our way we were joined by Sloan. Surprisingly he was pleasant today. "You seem to be in a good mood." I commented suddenly feeling bold having David at my side and maybe considering I was going to die tonight anyway.

"And you seemed a little less scared for a change."

I smiled at that "You did try to scare me every chance you got."

He shrugged "It was fun. Plus I like to piss David off if you haven't noticed, what better way than to scare his tiny fiancé."

"Hey I'm not that tiny."

It was true though. Whatever issues they both had was between them I was usually dragged in it. Keeping that aside, I wouldn't know if Sloan was a decent chap or not because I never really had any interaction with him which could be because of his red eyes you know. I don't know if I would regret not knowing him.

So we entered the ball room and once again I took in this spectacular room that had a royal yet modern look with a huge staircase at the entrance. Huge pillars were at the edges and beautiful chandlers adorned the roof complementing the intricate patterns carved in the roof.

It's funny how being oblivious to certain things you stop admiring them unless faced with the prospect of dying and never seeing or admiring anything ever again.

We walked in and soon we were circled by people and then separated as the men wanted to talk about politics with David and the women wanted to gossip with me.

A lady named Chrisy came along with her entourage. They all admired my dress and asked me how I was after the embarrassing episode with angel.

I am sure most of them just took it as another thing to gossip about.

There was another gorgeous vampire approaching me and crap crap crap I couldn't remember her name but I had been introduced to her before. She was some important political person!

'Bianca' Oh David is such a life saver.

"Bianca! How are you?"

"I'm good; the better question is how are you after that nasty fall?"

"Oh I'm fine."

"It must be so upsetting to be such a fragile human, but not to worry you'll be turned soon right?"

'Tell her it's none of her business.' Isn't that to rude? 'No, you're the future queen, you need to learn how to tell people it's none of their concern.'

"Actually Bianca it's none of your business."

"Oh I'm sorry if I came out to forward. I wanted to make you meet my husband, I don't think you've met him."

I followed her as she led the way, grabbed champagne on my way too, don't want to die without having it for the last time. I chuckled at my internal mussing.

I could also see Vince, Damien, Sloan, James, Linsday, my parents, the king and queen all happily enjoying. I hadn't talked to Vince and James in a while come to think of it. James was a pretty decent fellow and I think I will go see him after meeting Bianca's husband. He had done so much for David and me.

"Princess Elizabeth meet my husband Donald and his friends." She introduced me to three men who shook my hand.

"What an honor" said Donald giving my hand a light kiss "I've been meaning to ask you what your take is on this whole Abby and Carl issue."

"Uh well" I went blank as these three men stared at me. I grabbed another glass of champagne that was being circulated by waiters in order to buy some time to think.

Saved by David again 'I think everyone would agree that what they did was a clear act of treason and any political party supporting them must keep in consideration the socio-economic state of our lands and the affect their actions had on it. Not only is business suffering but so are the matters of the state. As if the exploitation and extortion wasn't enough add treason to the list!' I repeated everything; word for word.

The look on their faces was priceless. They probably expected me to make a fool of myself by not knowing affairs of the state. Thank God no one knew of our mind link.

'They think I'm smart thanks to you'

'You are smart love. I don't expect you to know everything about our world in just a couple of months.'

"You're absolutely right! It is such a disaster, and what are your views on the impending war with the wolves?"

'Why don't you leave such matters to the King to deal with? But if you must know it won't lead to a war nor will they win if such a thing occurs.'

I repeated everything however I was feeling a little light headed, probably due to the champagne. I shouldn't have had it, it gets to my head too much too fast.

"You're right." Said Donald.

"Absolutely" When the man to my left said this I could feel the blood drain from my face.

I felt as if I couldn't breathe and when I turned to look at him my vision was too blurry to make him out.

It's the same voice! The man that had been haunting me in my mind was standing right next to me.

The empty glass fell from my hand and crashed on the floor as I felt lighter by the second.

'Tick Tockgoes the clock, It'stime for youto go to bed.Tick Tockgoes the clock, Put down your sleepy head…'

I felt myself falling to the floor and losing consciousness.

It was the foam in my mouth that had suddenly made me realize; I had been poisoned.

The last thing I heard was 'Game over'

I died.

I know I know, I will try to update soon but this was worth the wait no? ;)
