Chapter 15
I groggily open my eyes to the sun's rays flashing on my face. I slowly take my bearings as I find myself in the middle of a deserted land with rubble all over the place. Above me, people stared down at me weirdly, slowly making me nervous. I could hear them talk amongst themselves, but can barely make out what they're saying.
"Hey kid…" a short bald guy said worriedly, "Are you alright?"
I ignore the man's question as I try to get my head together. Where am I? How did I get here?
Suddenly, I see an old, green skinned man looking over me. "Thank goodness… I was beginning to wonder when you would awaken. I know you must be wondering what has happened between your deep slumber. But I can assure you, Kurai, that all your answers will be answered soon enough."
I immediately snap back to my senses and leap several feet away from the old man. "Where am I…?!" I said frantically, failing to hide my fear, "How do you know my name?!"
"Please calm yourself, Kurai. We are within what remains of the Martial Arts Tournament…"
"'Martial Arts Tournament'? How'd I get here?"
All of them look at me with clear confusion. A woman with blue hair steps up and spoke angrily. "You and your brother came here to kill Goku. Your brother did all this!"
"What are you talking about?! I don't have a brother! I barely even remember how I even got here!"
What is she talking about? First I'm running from the couple in the forest, now I'm here hearing about a brother I never met destroying this place… What is going on…?
Suddenly I feel a burning feeling in my chest. I look down and find a ruby necklace glowing erratically. Whatever it is, this necklace is doing something to me! And I seriously don't like it!
"What is this?!" I yelled in panic as I try to pull the necklace off. Sadly, the necklace won't come off! Everyone rushes away from me, leaving this Kami guy standing in front of me in shock. "You! You know something! Tell me!" Immediately after my shout, the ground starts to shake and crumble before my feet.
"Kurai! You have to calm down! You're being misled by your father! Don't let him do this to you!"
"My what?!" This is getting irritating! I can't stand this! And this necklace around me is filling my body with some kind of…dark energy! Its like my body is going to explode!
With a powerful yell, I feel my body move on its own as I fly away from the barren area. I don't pay attention where I'm going. I can only feel the burning pain filling my entire being to no end. Wherever I land, I wouldn't care one bit.
Please! Whatever or whoever is doing this, please stop! I don't know why I'm the one suffering from this, but if I did anything wrong, I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I'm…
All the sudden, all the energy I felt has somehow left my body completely. "Wha… What…?"
Without any warning, I feel myself falling unconscious as I crash back to the Earth.
