Finally I got to update this story!
I'm sorry if it took over a year before I finally decided to update. For that I'm really sorry :(((((((( anyway, here is the latest chappy. Please enjoy :DDDD
The following day the memories of the following people were rewritten to prevent further 'consequences' which can disrupt the ring conflict: The guardians and ladies. Shamal was more than willing to do so since it involved ladies. Tsuki was back to her ever usual made self. As of today, she was busy preparing for the Lightning match that would happen tonight. Our moon was out in the market doing shopping because Nana was busy cooking. Tsuna was nowhere to be seen, not even Reborn knew where he went. Well not that he cared about him anyway.
On the way home, Tsuki encountered a small boy who was carrying a big book and he was crying in a small corner. She approached the little boy "What's wrong? Did you hurt yourself or did you get lost?" The little boy looked at her with teary eyes and slowly shook his head "What's the problem then?" The boy took a deep breath and wiped away his tears. Tsuki gave him a handkerchief and in return he gave her a small smile "Thank you miss." Tsuki slowly nodded and gestured for him to keep the handkerchief "So why were you crying?" The little boy wore a frown while he told her his story. Long story short, he asked for Tsuna to take him in after he beat up Mafisos who were after him but, he immediately refused and ran away. Tsuki felt that there was something off about the story but decided to shrug it anyway.
"It's okay little boy, I'm sure Sawada-sama didn't mean to do that. He's been under a lot of stress lately. I do hope that you would understand. That said, why don't you come home with me? It's not good for a child to wander in the streets alone." Tsuki offered her hand "I don't know if I can trust you." The little boy looked at her with distrust. "Of course I'm sorry for not introducing myself. My name is Tsuki, a servant of the Sawada Household. And you are?" The little boy was grinning "My name is Fuuta! It's nice to meet you Tsuki-nee. Oh, is it alright if I call you that?" Tsuki smiled back "It has a nice ring in it…very well. Let's go home Fuuta." Tsuki ruffled his head and held his hand as they returned home.
-Sawada Residence-
"We're back." Tsuki took of her shoes followed by Fuuta. "Oh Welcome back Tsu-chan! Who's the little boy?" Tsuki bowed her head then gave her an apologetic smile "He's a stray and I kind of had an urge to take him away from the dangers of the streets. May I take him in?" Nana gave her a reassuring smile and nodded her head "Of course, the more the merrier! By the way, did you buy the ingredients I asked you to buy?" Tsuki nodded and handed her a basket filled with ingredients. "Thank you very much for your help. Oh and is it okay if you'd do me another favor?" After Tsuki fixed her apron she looked at Nana with curiosity "What is it?"
"Could you go look for Tsu-kun? He's probably by the river again. You know even when he was a kid, he picked up that strange habit of suddenly waking up early then leaving to go to the lake. Would you mind doing it for me?" Tsuki slowly shook her head then looked back at Fuuta who was getting along rather well with Lambo. "No I won't mind at all Maman. I'll go look for Sawada-sama by the lake. Do you have any more errands you would like me to run?" Nana shook her head and then gave her the usual smile she gives. "Take care of yourself Tsu-chan!" Tsuki wore her black combat boots then bowed to Nana "Yes, if you'll excuse me." Afterwards she left.
-During the Stroll-
Along the way Tsuki looked at the river at saw that it had a beautiful shimmer once the sun's rays reached the surface of the water. The reflection of various buildings and people passing by gave off an even more peaceful ambience. However, the ripples coming from the bouncing stoned distorted that image. Tsuki immediately spotted the person she was looking for; Sawada Tsuna. She slowly approached him and as quiet as possible so as not to startle him. "You know you don't need to do that. I can still feel your presence or is it that you're afraid I might hit you? Then again, can I even manage to hit you?" Nevertheless Tsuna still continued to throw rocks across the river. "Come sit here." He pointed to the space close to him. Tsuki obediently followed "Sawada-sama your mother-" Tsuna scoffed "No need for formalities, the more that I hear that the more it upsets me for reasons I don't know. By the way my full name is Sawada Ietsuna. Tsuna's just my childhood nickname; it was given to me by my sister." Tsuki looked at him with shock.
Ietsuna momentarily stopped throwing rocks and turned to look at her "What, surprised to hear that I remember my Dame Sister even if Mom and Dad doesn't even know she even existed?" Tsuki could not answer back. "To tell you the truth, I never really forgot about her. In fact, I skipped out on our 'memory resetting' sessions because I was afraid of needles and well, the hospital in general. I miss her you know, even if she's a total klutz and slow on picking things up." Tsuki eyed him with suspicion "Then how come you seemed to be unaffected by her disappearance?" Ietsuna laughed "You just answered your own question." Tsuki raised an eyebrow while Ietsuna finally settled down "I meant the word 'seemingly,' in reality though I HAD to keep up with the façade I made so that I would look strong and cool. But deep down I missed the moments I spent with her even if it was just for a short while. In reality I'm a total coward, and the disappearance of my sister was all my fault you know, if only I had the courage to speak up against those thugs my sister would've been still here. Heck it would've even bought enough time 'till dad came to our room."
Tsuki silently listened and observed as he clutched a stoned in his right hand. "What about your horrible attitude then? Are you sure it was all a façade? It looks all real to me." Ietsuna sweat-dropped "You can be really frank you know that. Anyway, to answer your question…I think so too though, I'm still angry with myself for being a coward and allowing those people to take away my little sister. I guess that wrath slowly evolved me to the person I am today. That's why I can't stand the sight of children, I can't stand the sight of losing, I go insane as you have witnessed. Call it an excuse or what but right now I don't really care what you would think about me. Actually, for the first time ever since the disappearance of my sister I was able to open up my feelings… to you of all people." After that story Ietsuna returned to throwing rocks across the river.
Tsuki didn't say a word after hearing his side. After a while, she finally managed to cluster up two words "I'm sorry." Ietsuna stopped throwing rocks and turned to look at her. "For what?" Tsuki gathered small pebble and started throwing them across the river though it was a failure. "I'm sorry for hitting you and calling you a 'brat' yesterday. I never knew you went through such an ordeal." Ietsuna sighed "Don't sweat about it, it's all in the past. Besides, I'm pretty sure you went through more. I mean growing up in the mafia and taking on dangerous missions and all that stuff." Tsuki still continued to throw the pebbles across the river even though it kept sinking "It's cool you know, your titles I mean." Tsuki smiled "No, those titles mean nothing to me. In the end, people won't remember you by your name it's by your deeds. And my deeds indeed left an awful impression on the people I've meddled with."
"Tell me more about yourself, since Reborn started all this family stuff I should at least get to know more about you. You know what, scratch that, I want to know more about you as in personally. Not as some babysitter or a maid. I want to get to know you more as 'Tsuki'." Tsuki stopped throwing rocks. "I have neither memories of my past nor traces of my origins. However, I know that I grew up in a normal family who had no ties to the mafia or whatsoever. Like you, I had a father, a mother and one sibling; an older brother. Asides from that I know nothing." Ietsuna nodded "The rest of my memories were told to me by my master, Ottavia-san. How I was adopted into the Bovino family and how I was found in rubbles more or less likely due to a fire or a shootout. Then I was trained to become an assassin after the Boss' son was born I balanced my duties as a babysitter/maid and an assassin. Until the Boss finally decided to stop giving me missions since it was already taking a huge toll on my body."
"Though he would seldom give me emergency assignments like how I needed to escort the Cervello, or how I needed to collaborate with Lussuria from the Varia to complete a mission. When the young master reached the age of 5, the Boss sent us here to Japan to assassinate the hitman Reborn. That's also pretty much the story behind how we met you and your tutor."
"Oh, so that's how it was." Ietsuna stood up and gestured her to give him a stone. "We could teach one another, you teach me how to fight while I teach you how to well do other things like cooking." He threw the rock and it skipped "And like throwing rocks, how about it do you think we have a deal?" He turned to look at her and offered her his right hand. Tsuki shaked it, afterwards he helped her up. "By the way Tsuki are you older or younger than me?" Tsuki thought for a while. "I suppose I'm younger." Ietsuna smiled and patted her head. "I guess I really am destined to take care of all those younger than me. Anyway this is how you're supposed to throw a rock across the river."
Ietsuna mentored Tsuki for quite some time, until she finally got some time. "You up until today I never knew you were quite slow on picking things up." They walked back home together "Is that so? I'm sorry, asides from combat I never really had experience in doing other hobbies." Tsuki gave Ietsuna an apologetic smile. "You know I don't mind having another little sister if it's you." He mumbled. When they arrived at their house they looked at each other before opening the door. As expected, Ietsuna was greeted by Reborn's kick but he immediately blocked it with his hand. "Nice try dame-Tsuna but-" Reborn was about to kick Ietsuna once more but this time the one who blocked it was Tsuki. Reborn 'hmph-ed' "You two seem to finally get along. Not to mention you've worked on your timing. Not bad."
A long day happened, Ietsuna helped Tsuki cook in the kitchen much to everyone's surprise. 'It seems that the red thread between those two is rather strong' Bianchi thought.
…If only you knew
