You're dating 6 and he or she introduces you to his or her parents. Would you get along?

Breathe in…

"Danny… I'm worried…"

Breathe out…

"You shouldn't be! I mean, it's not like you don't already know them. You've been living with them for the past month already!"

Breathe in…

"Yeah, which means it's just going to be extremely awkward for all of us."

Breathe out…

"Jazz took it fine…"

Breathe in…

"Yeah, well, that's because we're friends and is excited for us to break up so she can continue her thesis on The Effects of Break-Ups on Teenagers."

Breathe out…

"I guess… but come on, you know it has to happen soon."

Breathe in…

(sigh) "I guess you're right…"

Breathe out…

"Of course I'm right. I'm always right."

I glared at the halfa in front of me before punching him in the shoulder, which he effectively turned intangible.

"Hey!" I reprimanded. "That's cheating!" He simply smiled that lopsided grin, making me blush all over again.

"Oh come on, you know you love me." He planted a small kiss on my cheek, making my cheeks flush even more.

"Yeah, yeah," I mumble. "Alright, you've convinced me. Let's go."

With one final deep breath, we opened the door to the house I was currently staying in- FentonWorks. We had just gotten back from the Nasty Burger, where Danny and I were discussing telling his parents about our relationship.

Danny had asked me to be his girlfriend one week ago when we went to go see the newest horror movie at the theatres- just me and him, which I knew was the first sign something was up. Of course, I agreed to date him, and we told Tucker and Sam the next day. I did notice that Sam looked a little more down then usual when she heard the news, but she tried to hide it…

"Mom? Dad?" Danny called out into the house. No answer. Which could mean one of two things- either they weren't home (which they should be, since the GAV was still parked outside) or they were down in the lab (which had recently become soundproof).

Danny walked over to the door that led to the lab and typed in a password. This led to a closet where HAZMAT jumpsuits were available. I slipped on a black-and-white suit that looked identical to the one Danny wears in his ghost form, except the colors switched like before he entered the portal. Danny, however, put on a neon orange one over his everyday clothes, since he didn't want his parents to make the connection between him and his Phantom alter-ego by jumpsuit association (although, I honestly thought that if they couldn't make a connection by now, they never would). It bugged Danny and I both that his parents had set up the extra security measures for the lab… especially since that meant the walls were now phase-proof, leaving Danny having to dispose of the ghosts as Fenton, which took a lot longer since the lab wouldn't let you in without being scanned to make sure you have a jumpsuit on. Even worse, the lab wasn't letting him in for the past three days he had tried, which was leaving him with a lot of really full thermoses. Actually, I wasn't sure why it even worked that time for us to get in.

My new boyfriend entered in another password before speaking into a small speaker, "Danny Fenton and Guest." We were both scanned by blue rays before the doors opened, allowing entrance into the lab.

We walked inside, looking around the metal room. There was something I immediately noticed- the portal was off. My eyes widened. Oh no… in Phantom Planet, Danny had taken away his powers when his parents turned off the portal for renovations… and since PP hadn't happened yet… did that mean Danny was going to get rid of his ghost powers?

I really hope not… I fervently hoped inside of my head.

"Um," Danny cleared his throat. "Mom? Dad?"

"DANNY!" Jack shouted, running towards his son to give him a big tight squeeze. I could practically see Danny's eyes pop out of his head, which made me giggle. "What's up, son?"

"Um… well… I wanted to talk to you guys about…"

"Hold on a minute," Maddie said, lifting her protecting mask. "What's Seren doing down here?"

"Does she want to learn how to fight GHOSTS?!"

"Um, no, not really," Danny said nervously. He sat down on a metal chair and motioned for me and his parents to do the same. "There's… actually something I want to talk to you guys about… well… you see…" He looked to me for guidance. I sighed. Now who's the nervous one? I thought smugly.

"Danny asked me out," I said blankly, getting to the point. "And I said yes. We just want your permission to start dating."

"Did you have to just come out and say it like that?" he hissed quietly.

"Yes, yes I did," I whispered amusedly.

"Well of course you can go out!" Maddie said lovingly. Then, immediately, she turned back to her work. Danny and I blinked before looking to Jack.

"Just no going into each other's bedrooms anymore unsupervised, and I'm fine with it!" Jack said, turning back to his work also. Danny and I also blushed too at what that statement implied and how embarrassing it was.

"Well, um, thanks… I guess…" I stammered, my cheeks flushing red.

"W-we… um… aren't going to…" Danny couldn't even function with his face so red. But Maddie and Jack were already too into their work to notice.

"Well that was… surprisingly easy," said Danny, blinking a few times. I just raised my eyebrows.

"I'll say…" I mumbled.
