15. The Party-Part 2

*Logan's POV*

I'm not sure what happened but the phone call was disconnected and I was freaking out. I tried calling Carlos back but it went straight to voice mail. The rest of the guests tried to calm me down but it wasn't working. Instead I just tried to focus on the party. We had let the twins and some of the other little kids play for a while and then we decided to eat. After we ate lunch, we had cake and ice cream. Then we decided to start opening the presents. James wanted his to by opened first so I picked up his present and brought it to the table. Right as I set it on the table, the door flew open and Carlos was standing there. He looked as if he had been crying and it broke my heart. He quickly walked in and apologized for being late. He didn't mention anything about what happened at the doctors. He just acted as if everything was normal. I decided not to bother him about it and we started opening the gifts. The twins got a lot of new toys and we're extremely excited. When every was said and done, the guest began to leave. My parents stayed to help cleanup and then left when the house was basically clean. I immediately started asking Carlos what had happened this morning.

"So, what happened this morning? Why did you have to go to the doctors?"

"I just wasn't feeling like myself. I thought that maybe I was just getting sick or something. I told the doctor all of my symptoms and they ran tests all morning. I don't have the flu or anything like that. I won't get most of my test results until tomorrow."

"Okay. Well, what do you think it is?"

"I have no idea. I've been feeling like this for a while now, on and off again. I've been getting different symptoms every now and then but they usually go away the very next day."

We talked a little bit more about this and I wasn't really that worried about it. We put all of the kid's toys away and spent a few hours watching movies. By the end of the day, we were both extremely tired and we headed to bed early. When we woke up on the morning, I was not ready for the news.
