CHAPTER EIGHTY-EIGHT
The Tact and Delicacy of A Steam-Roller
AN: I'm sorry if this will seem as a disappointment to some, but kkcnelson2002 had an AMAZING idea. I'll show you her review;
'Here is an idea for writing the fight scene, don't write it. I know (it) sounds weird but you could start the scene after the fight and then leave the details to the readers imagination. Just paint the scene with the injuries inflicted and then maybe small flashes of memory added in'
That's just some of the review, but that's the idea she/he gave and I'm LOVING it! I might just post some extra fight scenes for all of you to read (hopefully) and critique. It would be very helpful, I think, to have all of you wonderful reviewers giving me your opinion on my fighting scenes. Once I'm more comfortable with writing them, maybe I'll figure out how to repost chapters and I'll write a truly proper fight scene for this story.
Also, as my beloved Plotbunny guest posted, I seriously had no idea it had been an entire month since I've posted. I kid you not. I'm trying, folks.

THE AVENGERS / VICTOR CREED
His mate could see him.
Good.
She would see how well he could fight. How well he could defend their pack, protect her and their cubs. He couldn't help but draw himself up to his full height, tensing his muscles to show off their physique, his strength.
"You know, we don't have to do this." Captain America said, ever trying to be a diplomat. But there were some things Mr. Tighty-whitey didn't understand. Like hierarchy. Like how if they were here on his territory, they would follow his rules. If not, he would kick'em to the curb, no matter how much help they might be able to provide.
"Speak for yourself, Cap." The man with the bow and arrow—Clint, was it?-said, with an arrow already notched in his bow. This man seemed especially angry and it made Victor smirk. `Well, well well, looks like Robin Hood has a crush on Red.`
Victor held both hands out in a 'come on' gesture. "Get a move on, frails, I don't have all day."
They attacked.

CASSIE / JONESY/ RODDY/ JUBILEE/ CLARISSE/ ROGUE /
Cassie winced in sympathy, covering her face with her hands and peeking through her fingers as Victor managed to commandeer Thors hammer and hit him in the face with it.
Jubilee gaped, her nose practically pressed against the glass as she watched. "I thought Thors hammer couldn't leave him!" the pyrotechtonic exclaimed.
"Well, apparently it can." Cassie commented, flinching again as Captain America threw his shield, which Victor nimbly dodged. The round disk acted like a boomerang and started to head back towards the American hero, but the Sabretooth managed to catch it like an oversized discus and began to use it as a blunt force object.
"Ooo, that's gonna leave a mark." Rogue hissed.
"Hey, why isn't Iron Man summoning his suit?" Jubilee asked.
"How is it supposed to get in there to him?" Cassie pointed out. "Crash through the walls?...oh my gosh, I hope that doesn't happen."
The red-headed Russian spy was using some serious martial arts move and some scary flexibility to evade the feral mutants fangs and claws, obviously trying to hit some pressure points, but Victor simply grabbed her by her red hair and threw her against said wall where she fell limp to the floor.
"They're going to need the med bay." Clarisse commented. "Maybe I should warn Professor McCoy."
"Logan said tah stay here." Rogue countered, shaking her head. "And that's what we're gonna do, sugah."

LOGAN / HANK/ STORM
"Hurry it up, Blue." Logan/Wolverine growled, arms crossed over his chest as he made his way down the halls. "The ice-prick could be long gone by now."
"I know you are not talking about a student that way, Logan." Storm said regally from Hanks blue-furred arms, censure in his voice. "He may have done something wrong, but he is still a student here."
Logan snorted. "Not fer long."
Ororo decided to ignore that for the time being and looked to her blue-furred husband. "Hank, I am perfectly capable of walking myself."
"Indulge me, my dear." Beast replied. "I do not wish for you to over-exert yourself."
Ororo arched a white eyebrow. "And why would I do that?"
"Ya gotta tell her, Hank." Logan advised seriously. "Or else she might try ta fly into a fight or somethin'."
Ororos eyebrows narrowed dangerously as she frowned at both her husband and friend. "Tell me what? Hank if you are with-holding something from me—"
"Beloved," Hank began, taking in a deep breath and making Logan roll his eyes. "I should have known. I do not know why I did not catch the signs sooner, but I want you to know that I will be there all the way. That you are safe. There is no other woman I care for as much as I do you—"
Logan snorted loudly. "Oh fer cryin' out loud. Yer pregnant, Ororo."
…..You could have heard a pin drop it became so quiet.

CASSIE / JONESY/ RODDY/ JUBILEE/ CLARISSE/ ROGUE /
"Okay, how do you think the Professor is going to repair that hole?" Clarisse asked curiously, eyes fixed on the scene below.
Tony Stark aka Iron Man had indeed summoned his armor, and the metal pieces had managed to slam right through the delicate wiring of the Danger-room. Now the holograph of the woods was flickering on and off as Iron Man himself flew upward in his red and gold suit aiming fire blasts at Victor. One of the streams of fire an electricity managed to hit the Sabretooth on the right arm and the skin was immediately fried off to the bone.
Cassie gasped and immediately clapped a hand over Roddys eyes while Rogue turned Jonesys face into her stomach.
"Crap crap CRAP, okay, how we turn this thing off!" Cassie exclaimed, terrified for her mate.
"It's ah-right, sugah." Rogue soothed, though she herself looked sickened. "He's like Logan, his healin' factor will kick in, watch."
Even as she said that, new muscles and tendons and skin were growing back over the Sabretooths arm at a rapid rate.
Then Victor crouched down before launching himself in the air.
Cassie couldn't help but be reminded of a cat attempting to catch a butterfly as her feral mate practically flew up towards the ceiling, claws out, and batted the Iron Man out of the sky like an annoying lightning bug.
The crash reverberated throughout the building and Iron-Man was down for the count, joining the knocked out Black Widow.
"Well, okay then." Cassie muttered, feeling slightly dizzy.

LOGAN / HANK / STORM
"As usual, Logan, you show the tact and delicacy of a steam-roller." Hank growled angrily at his feral co-fighter.
Logan snorted, unthreatened. "We don't have all day, fur-ball."
Ororo seemed stunned, her arms around Hanks blue shoulders and the Beast turned his attention back to his mate.
"Ororo? Beloved?" he immediately started up a purr and was relieved when the Storm Witch relaxed in his arms.
"P-Pregnant?"
"It's alright, 'Ro, yer safe." Logan assured, adding his own purr to the mix, and Hank gave him a warning glare. "But that's why Vic wants you up in the observation room with the others. Ta keep ya safe while Beast and I find out where the ice-pri…ahem…I mean Bobby went."
Logan turned back around (he had been walking backwards and he was MUCH better at it than Jubilee could ever dream of being with his feral senses) and started up the stairs to the observation room the overlooked the danger room. "Hope I didn't miss the whole fight."
Unfortunately, he had. Once the three (3) entered the room and walked over to the viewing screen, they saw a practically preening Sabretooth and an entire team of downed Avengers.
