Final Chapter – Love Eternal
Time has passed since the Neuroi were vanquished. Everyone went their own way, pursuing their dreams and ambitions.
Generalmajor Minna Dietlinde-Wilcke had dropped out of the Wehrmacht shortly after the war. She pursued her dream of being a singer, overshadowing every contender. She became a famous diva in the Vienna State Opera. Her rendition of Lili Marleen, among many others, brought in crowds, and her performances were booked for a year in advance. When she turned thirty, she met a pianist, Karl Heinz Oberhausen. They married happily, and had a daughter, Erica Gertrud Oberhausen. After a brief pause, she resumed her career with doubled effort, becoming even more famous then before.
Colonel Mio Sakamoto stayed in the army for a while. After the war, Fuso turned into a peace-loving nation, reforming the whole army into the Fuso Self Defense Force. She refused a promotion to Brigadier General, because, as she said, it would hinder her training people in a proper way. And she trained the new recruits like mad. Her voice would be heard from dusk till dawn in the Yokosuka Naval Base. Something broke in her one day, as she fell in love with a recruit, Takeshi Nogami. The flames of passion burned like wild, consuming both their minds and bodies. Once her superiors found about it, both of them dropped out of the FSDF. They had two children, a daughter, and a son, Sasami and Yasuhiro. Mio opened a kendo dojo, which was renowned across the whole world, just as she herself.
Colonel Gertrud Barkhorn dropped out of the Wehrmacht immediately after the Neuroi were defeated. She lived on with her little sister Chris in Schwarzwald, for a brief moment, but then, the young damsel received an invitation from a school across the ocean. During that time, Trude always thought how her life would look like if Chris wasn't at her side. When she was visiting some small village in Bavaria, she went into a bierhalle. She was so drunk that she suddenly came up with an ingenious, at least to her, idea, and she shouted, "Whoever defeats me in arm wrestling, deserves to be my husband." It went without saying that a nice line formed before her, but everyone was defeated. But then, a handsome but modest young man approached her, and Trude lost miserably. His name was Johan Weizenman, and to her surprise, he was a wizard. They married on a whim, and she bore three daughters: Hanna, Heidemarie and Hermina. The last name didn't last long in Trude's mind, because when asked about the name of the infant in her arms, she remembered the redhead commander from the olden days, and so she answered, "Minna".
Colonel Charlotte Elwyn Yeager stayed in the Army for one sole reason: it was developing even faster Strikers. She was hell-bent on beating both records of Toshiro, the official and unofficial one. Her moment came on November 20, 1953. She performed an official test flight of the D-558-II Skyrocket, flying at Mach 4 dead. She was so drunk on her victory over Toshiro, that after getting really drunk in a local tavern, she got knocked up. The father grew a pair and confessed. Fortunately, Glen Ridgefield was more than just honor, and they took liking in each other. They had three children: Don, Mickey, and Sharon; so adding the little Susan, who was the fruit of a brief square dance romance from 1946, she now had four kids. However, she didn't rest after giving birth to four children. She got involved with the Liberion Aeronautic and Space Agency, which yielded a joint Liberion-Orussian space flight. On April 12, 1961, both she and Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin, boarded the Vostok 1 rocket sitting peacefully in the Baikonur Cosmodrome. At 06:07 UT, the gargantuan rocket engines lifted the rocket. When Shirley saw that she reached the altitude of 100 kilometers, and was going faster than 36000 kilometers per hour, she let off a wild shout, "I've beat you, Toshiro! I finally beat you!". The poor Yuri sitting beside her didn't know what was going on, so he remained silent for the remainder of the mission.
Colonel Heidemarie W. Schnaufer, just like most of her comrades, has dropped out of the Wehrmacht quickly. With her eyes mysteriously repaired, she continued the family tradition of winemaking. The fact that she was in the 501st worked as the perfect advertisement, also in love matters. Suitors came in numbers, but Heidi turned them all down as if they were nothing. Finally, after she turned twenty-two, somebody took the heart and soul of the Karlslander. A man from a befriended winery from Hispania, Ernesto Madrigal, took her by a storm. They had one daughter, which she named Aria.
Major Erica Hartmann, who was basically forced into accepting the promotion, resigned from army duty. Just to prove everyone that she's a genius, she enrolled to a university. Afterwards, since she had a sweet tooth, she tried to be the one making sweets, so she could eat them all the time. After a rough start, her small company started prospering. It soon turned one of the biggest sweet producing companies in the whole world. However, Erica being herself got bored of everything, and left the company. She was living off the interest of the enormous sum she had stowed away in a Helvetian bank. Being a good party, she was courted repeatedly be various contenders, but she fell for a simple accountant from Bayern, Klaus Klarkopf. They had only one child, a girl, which they named Anna.
Major Aleksandra Vladimirovna Litvyak, called Sanya by everyone, became a famous pianist in Moscow. Her concerts wrenched out the tears from the audience, in the same way as her beauty dazzled them. She was in contact with her parents all the time. She was followed by her love, Major Eila Ilmatar Juutilainen, and they lived on in the forbidden relationship, until they realized what wrong they did to each other. They broke up peacefully, and promised themselves to get married in a year. Not only did they get married in a year, they also bore children on such a short notice. Both had daughters, Natasha and Inga respectively, making Vladimir Sokolov and Jorgen Haraldsson probably the happiest men on earth. However, a year and a bit after their daughters were born, a reunion came. The flame of forbidden love had been yet again set ablaze, even more intense than in Britannia and Romagna combined. Immediately upon returning to their husbands, both of them had long talks with them. Eila and Sanya both had peaceful divorces, and they kept their children. They both bought a single house in Orussia. However, a scandal broke out when the press got news of what happened. But her friends, every one of them, stood up for Sanya and her lover. Sanya and Eila became the poster children of same-sex equality ever since.
Major Perriette-Henriette Clostermann stayed in the military for a while, teaching the newbies, but soon, she focused on rebuilding her war-ravaged homeland. After spending every penny she had, and personally seeing to many rebuilds, she retreated to her family chateau, part of which she turned into a school and orphanage. Just after the war, Hanna Ulrike Rudel, an ace in air-to-ground combat, befriended Perrine, and after helping her with the orphanage, she was given the title of honorary director. With her extensive knowledge, Perrine schooled a whole generation of kids, all of which were grateful for the upbringing. On a PTA meeting, she fell in love with the lonely father of one of the kids, Roland Champignon. The little Pierre got a little sister, Anabelle.
Captain Francesca Lucchini had grown out of her habit of groping breasts of everyone around once she grew a pair of her own, in quite a nice size. She dropped the army, and returned to her beloved family. She always thought of her busty companion whenever she got lonely, but that didn't last long. Soon, she got married with Luca Salvatore, a young banker from Bari. She met him in high school, and followed him into college, where she was studying math, putting her prodigal mind to a test. His charm struck her at first sight, and having no experience with men, she gave him her body at the first occasion. Their marriage was an example to follow in terms of partnership, and they had only one child, a dark haired girl they named Maria. Francesca used the money gained from the marriage, and put her efforts into protecting island of Delos.
First Lieutenant Lynnette Bishop, after dropping out of the army, started realizing her goal of being the ideal housewife. Her parents arranged marriage for her with the son of a mogul, but apart from a child, the little Steven, it wasn't very fruitful. They divorced after a year, but Lynette was lucky enough to find true love in another man, Eustace Smith, with whom she had another child, Melissa.
Second Lieutenant Shizuka Hattori had finished her education in the Naval Academy under the wings of Mio. She passed in flying colors, and after that, she decided to follow the same path as her idol, Yoshika. She graduated Tokyo U, and opened a private clinic in Hiroshima. She was in contact with Yoshika, both to get some tips from her, and because Yoshika was Yoshika. Yasuhiro Tanbabayashi was the man that stole her heart, and she had a child with him at the age of seventeen. Her name was Kaguya.
Reichsmarschall Toshiro Lucas von Edelweiss left the Wehrmacht just after being promoted, saying something about full filled ambitions and a pregnant wife. He organized bi-yearly reunions with all the girls from the 501st and the friends of the unit. He attended to the University of Basel in Helvetia, mastering physics and mathematics like nobody's business with two surprise classmates, Ursula Hartmann and Erica Hartmann. Their cooperation extended past the classroom, and soon they revealed something that threw the scientific world on its knees – the Unified Edelweiss-Hartmann theory. At first, nobody even knew that the hell they are reading, but when the top-notch eggheads started delving deeper into it, the three ended straight in Stockholm City Hall, and in December 10, 1953, they split the Nobel Prize Award in Physics along with Frits Zernike, a scientist from the Netherlands, who got his award for his invention of the phase contrast microscope. The technology at time didn't allow anything utilizing said theory to be built, so Toshiro stepped back into the shadows, and devoted himself to his loving wife.
In the cold month of December 1960, news struck the whole world. The Kaiser of Karlsland, Frederic the Fourth died of a heart attack. The funeral that took place gathered many dignitaries and heads of state from all across the world. Then, on the first day of January 1961, Toshiro, with some problems, became his successor. He shocked everyone at his inauguration speech with the following words.
"I didn't want to become the successor to my uncle, that's why, from this day on; The Karlslander Empire is no more, and I am no longer the Kaiser. From now on, the soil on which we tread belongs to the Bundesrepublik of Karlsland, and I will be its president for the next five years. Monarchy is an outdated system, which robs people of their freedom, which is why next month, elections to the Reichstag will be held, and the winning party will push forward a Chancellor to aid me in governing the country."
The echoes of this speech rang throughout the whole globe, earning Toshiro respect and trust from foreign nations, and from his fellow citizens. After a five-year term, he was succeeded by Heinrich Lübke, a member of the CDU Party.
He then retreated to his residence in Schwarzwald, to his bellowed Yoshika.
Major Yoshika von Edelweiss followed Toshiro into Helvetia, following up on the proposition from that fateful day. She studied hard, and since she was living with Toshiro, Ursula, and Erica under one roof, she was tutored to high hell. She understood that knowledge is the key, and she obtained a Master degree in Oncology from the Helvetian Academy of Medical Sciences in Basel. In 1966, after Toshiro ended his political career, she got her claim to fame by teaming up with a scientist from Liberion, Peyton Rous, and received the Nobel Prize Award in Medicine for their discovery of tumor inducing viruses. On 25 September 1946, Yoshika bore fraternal triplets, a dark haired boy, a brown haired boy, and a dark haired girl. The happy parents looked at each other, and in unison, they exclaimed the names of the three.
"Andrew, Conrad, Akiko!"
In 1984, Toshiro was approached by somebody from DARPA, requesting him to join a team of scientists in Liberion. He was reluctant at first, but when he heard that Shirley and Ursula were involved, and after Yoshika gave her approval, he went off across the Pacific. It took them three months, but then the prototype X-29ɑ was built. A light aluminum frame, with a highly experimental pulse engine was born. The thing that made it unique was the practical use of the Edelweiss-Hartmann theory, effectively removing the need of a Portable Pocket Dimension generator, and reducing magic consumption to benign values. It was also the first Striker to have doubled microcomputer-assisted avionics, because the pulse engine was a fickle beast to tame.
Shirley, despite protests, wanted to test it badly, and she forced the DARPA chief to let her do it. Although her magic was weak, she managed to cross Mach 5 easily. This marked a new era in Striker development, which Toshiro himself entered two decades earlier, making two working prototypes, and slowly upgrading them in private.
In 1988, a Fuso geologist discovered a nearly infinite reserve of an unknown mineral in Kyushu. After careful analysis, it was discovered that it had an energy potential greater than refined uranium, but didn't require sophisticated methods to release that energy. Surprisingly, the Edelweiss-Hartmann theory had the ideal application here, and in 1992, the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Tsubasa-01 flight cuffs were introduced. Their removable Udonite-Polymer batteries could enable flight at Mach One for twelve hours straight for non-magical people. With each year passing, the technology was evolving. The now professor emeritus, Toshiro von Edelweiss smiled wryly after each advance, since he had working prototypes since the seventies.
Around 2006, an aspiring writer and manga artist, Shimada Humikane, has asked Toshiro and the rest of the former 501st, if he could use their biographies to create a series of historical fiction novels and mangas. Nobody batted an eyelid to that. Soon after, in 2007, Silver Link acquired rights to make a full-blown anime series.
It was December 26, 2015. Toshiro, Yoshika and their kids and grandkids just finished watching the last episode of the Strike Witches anime. Toshiro saw that Yoshika had a tear in her eye, but he was no different.
"Hey, gramps, you really were a stud, huh?" Hiroto asked his Toshiro with a smug smile.
Akiko slapped him on the back of his head and said, "Have respect for your great grandfather, snot."
"Heh, sorry mom…"
"Oh sonny, half of the lewd stuff I did wasn't animated, heheheh…" Toshiro said.
Now he was the one to get a slap in the back of his head, this time it was Yoshika who gave the punishment. She had a visible blush on her wrinkled face.
"Sorry, Yoshika…"
Yoshika puffed her cheeks and turned around.
The years that came were marked with funerals. There wasn't a year when they wouldn't have to greet off one of their old friends on their last journey. Of the people they knew, Toshiro and Yoshika were the last left. They made a wish to Livy, and she granted it to them.
Near midnight on August 20, 2024, on the 80th anniversary of their first date, Yoshika and Toshiro left the mortal coil in their sleep, holding their hands together.
When they woke up, a bunch of familiar faces were looking at them. All young, like eighty years ago when they first met.
Toshiro smirked and stopped time, something he wanted to do since a whole lot of time.
He teleported to a place familiar to him. A certain blond haired person looked at him with surprise.
"Oh look who finally died! But could you not stop my universe please? I like it going forward…"
"No can do, Kye. I'm not revealing to anyone that I'm the reincarnation of the Allgod. At least not now."
"You sure must be happy that you can finally go all out, huh?"
"To be honest? No. Nigh omnipotence is not something to toy with easily. Sure, exploding a sun looks cool but… Yeah…"
"Still, you used your powers back then."
"I had to, and you damn well knew that. I had to fool the whole universe to believe I only tapped into some bigger energy stream of the Allgod."
"Ah, well, there are lies, and there are lies," she shrugged. "So what now? Kicking back and enjoying eternity?"
"Probably. I have Yoshika, Livy, my friends and parents by my side now. But… Maybe if I get bored… Or the others get bored… Maybe I'll be reborn in the 1920's as a guy with a mysterious magic capability…"
"Hey, hey! That card was played, go think of something else!"
"Heh… Oh, I know! Let's visit the Edelweiss-Miyafuji household!"
"That would be nice. You know, they aged a bit differently than the two of you."
"I know. A bit sad, but it only shows that you've kept your end of the bargain."
"A shame you two live so short… What was your reasoning by the way?"
"Despite the fact I could prolong my life into eternity, it would be something wrong to do. Not to mention my creation needs tending to."
"As good a reason as any," Kye smiled. "Enjoyed your alcohol immunity?"
"Pffff, hell yeah!"
"Heehee… So, going?"
"How does it work by the way?" Toshiro asked.
"Think of a time and place, and just want to go there. It's like you would be selecting a level in a game."
"You sure hit the gold mine with that analogy. I love games!"
"Boys will be boys…" she shrugged.
"Okay, and a one-a, and a two-a, and a three-a!"
The scenery around him changed. He could see a familiar landscape, but only the shape of the mountains was familiar.
"Wow, Yokosuka sure looks spiffy in 2032… I mean, in 2024 in my world it already looked damn nice, but shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit, this takes the cake."
"This world had a little jump start from all the tech from Neurida. Well, and Toshiro Deuce surely didn't fuck around either."
"I'll ask him personally. Now… Where… Ah, they're taking a romantic walk through the mountains during the sunset, heh… You'll be going too?"
"Sure, why not. Just set this up in such a way you won't startle them. Just as a precaution."
"Meh, can do."
The two of them simply changed into civilian clothes and sat down on the edge of the dirt road, facing a ditch. They waited for the two to approach them, and Toshiro turned around.
"Pardon, we probably lost our way. Could you help us?" he asked.
"Why yes, of… Holy shit, Progenitor Bro!" the seasoned Toshiro Deuce said, with a voice still strong despite his age. "You sure look young! Kaylie did some messing around with the time lines?"
"Nope, it's my own doing."
"Your own?" Yoshika asked. "Your eyes look… different."
"Yet again eh?" Toshiro turned around. "You didn't tell them?"
"I decided it would be the best if we wouldn't spread the news."
"Oh, hi!" Yoshika cheered vigorously.
"Hi, Sweetie. Well, Toshiro, why don't you make them know, hmmm?" Kye asked with a sly smile.
"Ooooooh… Okaaaaaaaaaaay… Now."
The eyes of the two hikers fogged for a few seconds, and afterwards, Toshiro Deuce simply walked up to his original and patted him on the back.
"Mah nigga!" he shouted. "I thought I hit the jackpot by being the second strongest mortal, but you've just stomped me into the ground with a lax fart!"
"Actually, my dear hubby here would be the first, but only if I decided not to use True Zen. And if he was about eighty years younger, hehe…"
"Uggghhh… Don't tell me about True Zen…" Toshiro said with a sour face. "But it's nice to hear that you made it big, CeeBee."
"Ah, well, not that I could actually use that power to do anything… Besides the occasional spars every now and then. And I finally could steamroll Mio on my own! But why am I even telling this to you, you're fucking omniscient now…"
"But I like proper conversation, and you damn well know it, you derp."
"Geez, that word is so old it probably predates our great grandchildren..."
"Ah, don't give me that crap. Anywho, bye for now you two, maybe I'll visit ya another day."
"Bye, Adamshiro," Yoshika giggled.
"Hurrrr…"
"Bye, Progenitor Bro. Don't fuck up a galaxy or something."
"Yeah, sure. Kye, we're going back."
"Right after ya."
They found themselves in the place they started their journey from.
"Hmmmmm… Now I want to visit the redheads."
"You can do that alone; just don't overdo it with your revenge schemes."
"Don't worry, I'll show some restraint, heheh…"
Toshiro jumped over to Kaylie's Time Control Center. The world around him was frozen, so he conjured up a sharpie and drew the obvious shape on the redheads face. He unfroze time and Kaylie jumped up seeing her.
"Wagh! Adamshiro!"
"Will you all stop fucking calling me that?"
"Sure, sure… Uh, so… You kicked the bucket, right?"
"Definitely."
"So, whatcha doin' here?"
"Visiting my probably most favorite redhead. But wait, I'll get the other one."
Toshiro snapped his fingers, and Layla, in a string bikini, appeared before them.
"Shit, what?!"
"Hah!" Kaylie snorted.
"Bahahahahahahaha!" Layla started laughing while pointing at Kaylie.
"What the hell are you laughing at?" She asked.
Layla conjured up a mirror before Kaylie. She furled her eyebrows and muttered, "Really mature, Toshiro…"
"My vengeance is completed I guess."
After speaking those words, Layla was clothed normally, and Kaylie didn't have a male sausage drawn on her face.
"So you're the Allgod now…" Layla said. "I guess now a whole new world of possibilities opens up?"
"Yeah… And a whole mountain of boredom. I mean, come on, I got eons to burn through…"
"Rebirths could give you some fun," Kaylie said.
"I'll see. Maybe one day. Maybe one day, some danger to the omniverse will appear again… At least something would happen."
"Oh shush… Mavet was bad enough…" Kaylie mumbled.
"Maybe… Okay, I'm going for now. Take care, you two mischief makers!"
"Bye!" the two cheered, and Toshiro returned to Kye.
"Classy…" Kye said and shook her head.
"Its'a me, Toshiro!"
"You sure like your games, heh."
"Well anyway, there's one thing I would like from you."
"Oh, and what's that?"
"For all the times I have spent as Toshiko, I would like to see a Kyle…"
"Mmmmm… nah."
"Come on, Kye, it would be very unfair."
"Don't feel like it."
"Hmmm… Let's ask a third party so to speak… Jouten?"
"Hmm, yes, Lord Adam?" Jouten appeared beside Kye without bothering to wear a cloak.
"You can call me Toshiro, you know."
"Well then, Toshiro, what is your query?"
"Is your sense of justice at ease, knowing that your mistress gender bent me all these times, and that she doesn't do the same at least once for herself?"
Jouten raised her eyebrow, looked at Kye, and back to Toshiro. She didn't say a thing.
"Well, Toshiro, it seems like you have nothing on Jouten," Kye smiled. "But I guess I owe you for all those changes."
Kye snapped her fingers and a male version of herself appeared next to her.
"There, satisfied?" she asked.
Toshiro in turn smirked and turned into a woman.
"Maybe we should get it done, huh?"
Suddenly, he felt two hands on his shoulder, and a familiar yet ferocious voice said, "You touch another woman, and I'll kill her, and then I will kill you. Lastly, I will kill myself, so I won't have to live with the shame."
Turning around like a broken robot, Toshiko looked around and saw Livy behind him, with red eyes burning with fury.
"Eeeeeeeek!" Toshiko shrieked and ran behind Kye. "Save me, onee-chan!"
"Hahahahaha!" Kye laughed. "Hey, Livy, don't pull such pranks on your master, have some humility."
"Heehee…" Livy giggled as her eyes returned to her normal golden glow. "That was just my yandere impression. Was it good, Master Toshiro?"
"Guh, you had me scared shitless… I guess you've been gathering knowledge about the modern world?"
A maid costume appeared on Livy, along with cat ears on her head.
"Hai, goshujin-sama!" she cheered and bowed.
"I'm not that into maids, you know. But it's commendable, surely was nice of you."
"Thank you, Master. It's so nice to see you again."
"Likewise, Livy."
"Hey, Toshiro, can I get this abomination of me out of existence?" Kye asked.
"Y… Wait a second."
Toshiro pinged an old acquaintance of his, and quickly he appeared.
"My beloved grew a dick, woe is me!"
"D-Doran!" Kye stuttered and quickly vanished her male version.
"Sup, Broski?" Toshiro raised his hand up high, and Doran slapped it with his own.
"Chillin', what about you?"
"Well, I died, heheh… Nice to meet you again. I never thanked you properly for attending my wedding."
"Meh, whatever, was a nice event. But all that booze wasted on us, sheeeeeeeeesh…"
"Welp, that's what you get for having godly powers in a mortal body…"
"Yeah, you probably didn't. So, why did you fetch me here?"
"Ah, just for shits and giggles, not much…"
"Well, shits and giggles with you around are ten times more fun! How about some mischief?"
Toshiro made a small marble in his hands while grinning like mad.
"Wuzzat?" Doran asked.
"Quantum state compressed antimatter. If I set it off in the middle of a galaxy, poof."
"Dude! That would make a sick game of marbles!"
"We should play something like this once," Kye chuckled. "With all the Elder Gods."
"Cuz we're all a happy family," Doran smirked.
"Like brothers from other mothers!" Toshiro raised his hand, and Doran slapped a high five with him yet again.
Kye went and embraced the two and said, "And a big sister to watch all of you, heheh…"
"Wouldn't that be…?"
"Oh shut up, don't spoil the mood," Kye muttered and bonked Toshiro on the head.
"We should spar one day, you know?"
"A battle of gods? Hoho… You'd better create a universe especially for that…" Doran said.
"Suuuure… Maybe two, just in case. But that will happen later. Now I have to play the surprised Toshiro, who just ascended into the afterlife and sees all of his friends as if they didn't age since 1945."
"Heehee… I'm looking forward to some godly shenanigans, Toshiro," Kye giggled.
"Now you'll have a playmate, hahaha! See you… later I suppose? Is that how gods view time?"
"Let's say that'll work for now, heehee…"
"Bye Jouten."
"Goodbye, Toshiro."
"Bye, Livy, I'll join you in a bit, kay?"
"I'm eagerly awaiting that, Master."
Toshiro zipped back from where he originally came from, and he masked his eyes with normal ones.
"What are you guys doing here?" Toshiro asked.
"Isn't it obvious? We have come to visit," Minna said.
"But… Ain't you guys all basically believers of the God from the Bible?"
"Technically yes but… it seems that the gods came to an agreement due to us saving the world and such, and we can freely visit each other in the afterlife," Mio explained. "Even in this realm."
"Not bad…" Toshiro said and looked around.
He saw that two of the members of the 501st were not using their appearances from the time.
"Francesca, Sanya, why are you two using your older appearances?" Toshiro asked out of curiosity.
"Don't you see?" Francesca said and ripped the shirt she had on herself. "I grew some damn C-cups!"
"Ho ho! Now you won't fondle everyone around!"
"I'm past that… Although… Yoshika, I remember you had come nice D-cups on the reunion in '48…"
"Eheheh… Well… How can I change my appearance?"
Toshiro looked at Yoshika, and saw she was her old fifteen-year-old self. He looked at his hands and saw young, unwrinkled skin there.
"Just think about it," Francesca said.
In a few seconds, Yoshika went from fifteen to eighteen, inflating her chest quite a bit compared to the previous size. Francesca of course used the occasion and grabbed her bosom as if it was nobody's business.
"Waaaaah!" Yoshika screamed as she was overpowered and thrown to the ground.
Toshiro now looked at Sanya carefully, and seeing that he did it, she silently answered, "I also like my new breasts…"
"I don't blame you…" Toshiro mumbled. "So, why are you lot only here then?"
"Oh, that goddess of yours wanted us all to be the first to greet you two… Seriously, you both took your time to die…" Shirley said nonchalantly.
"Ha ha…" Toshiro said. "We won in the long run! You can't beat that record!"
"Damn you!" Shirley shouted.
"Too late, we've already been saved, hah!" Toshiro shouted back, and then it came to him. "Hey, Ami! Can you get my parents?"
"Don't shout like that, I'm omniscient in this world you know?" the voice of Amaterasu was heard. "Okay, as you wish."
With her last word still echoing in the air, Akiko Akayama and Lucas Edelweiss appeared before Toshiro. He couldn't contain himself, and he ran up to them before they could say a word, and embraced them both at the same time.
"Mom! Dad!" Toshiro shouted through tears.
"My, my…" Akiko said and patted him on the back. "So you finally kicked the can, huh?"
"Pull yourself together, son. A True Soldier of Karlsland doesn't cry like that!"
"Hah, I like your old man already, Toshiro!" Trude shouted.
He looked at his father's face and said, "Then why are you also crying, huh?"
"I'm sweating heavily…" he mumbled.
"As if a soul can sweat…"
"Don't backtalk to your father, you dingus. You may be the savior of the world and former Kaiser, but I'm still your father," he huffed.
"Yeah, yeah… But anyway…" Toshiro turned back and saw that Yoshika was freed from the clutches of Francesca. "Yoshika, c'mere, I want to introduce you to my parents."
"Y-yes!" Yoshika answered and ran to him.
"Mom, Dad… This is Yoshika Edelweiss of house Miyafuji. My lovely wedded wife, the mother of my children, et cetera."
"P-Pleased to meet you!" Yoshika said and bowed deeply.
"What a nice and polite girl… You chose a good bride for yourself, Toshiro. I'm proud," his father said.
"A shame that we have to do this introduction in the afterlife…" Akiko said.
"You can't have everything…" Toshiro said and grabbed Yoshika, pressing her against himself. "But I have Yoshika, and that's enough."
"And you have me for all eternity…" she said.
They both kissed, right in front of Toshiro's parents, and in front of girls.
I don't mind that I'm kissing in front of all my friends and before my parents just like that. I really don't. Now that I have Yoshika by my side, our love can flourish forever in this paradise…
A love eternal.
'The Love which moves the sun and the other stars.'
Aaaaand cut! The end! The Chosen One series has finally ended! You can lay down your pitchforks and go home. Thank you, everyone who supported me with a good word and a review from time to time, and fuck all the bitter and sour haters. Seriously, fuck you.
I would like to thank Doran Maya for… everything. You know what I owe you, you shit.
Seiko, An0n, and Amiruddin also deserve a mention for inflating my review count considerably huehuehue...
And that's that. No lists of people who reviewed of whatever. No fun facts, statistics, or useless trivia. I'm quite fed up with writing fanfics and real life is knocking on the door hard, so I couldn't bother less. Well, there are two things…
Useless trivia: Star of Romagna, Toshiro X, and Our Victory Awaits end with quotes from Dante's "Inferno"
Useless info: a new story starts tomorrow. And yes, it's already prewritten. No, Toshiro isn't the protagonist.
