The week that followed Rogue's date night was an important one.

Surprising to herself Rogue's arguments were more convincing than Rogue herself knew until Forge showed up at the X-Men's door wanting to join the institute, and thus the New Mutants gained another member. Speaking of which, was currently working in the lab trying to track down Mr. Sinister, and getting nowhere.

Later that day Rogue went on a second date with Magneto a few days after the first and this time their date was in broad daylight, around two o'clock in the afternoon.

Magneto had flown them to England were he took her to see the Ancient Egyptian Museum, and to Rogue's surprise she enjoyed it quite a bit.

Normally Rogue wasn't into learning, at least not when it came to school. School's tended to pick the most boring and useless topics, and they made it even more boring with the way they taught these bland topics.

Thankfully, though Magneto himself was a teacher, he found a way to make it interesting. For a while Rogue wondered whether it was because Magneto himself was incapable of picking a boring topic, or if it was because of the way he showed her this knowledge that made it interesting. Probably both.

Rogue did have to admit though the idea of him taking her to a museum wasn't that exciting, until they actually got there. Magneto explained how the exhibit didn't open until the next day, but that gave them the advantage to see all the wonderful masterpieces without dealing with people or lines. So, he first sent out a magnetic pulse wave to disable the cameras and security system, and then he unlocked the doors.

Rogue then made a comment about how he really didn't understand being on the side of the angels. Magneto chuckled and assured her they wouldn't take anything, no matter how tempting.

And Rogue enjoyed herself quite a bit learning about an ancient civilization.

To the credit of the Egyptians, in their ancient days they accomplished impressive things. They were some of the first people to invent wine, and begin to understand mathematics.

Magneto explained how the great pyramids were the first sign that they had some grasp of arithmetic. Apparently during the third dynasty it took the current pharaoh three tries to get a perfect pyramid, he would have got it the second time if not for an accident that forced them to work at a different angel making it "slanted".

"Impressive for an ancient civilization." Magneto commented. He also explained how for many long years the Egyptians faced no threat of invasion, due to the fact that they lived in the middle of a desert. Shocking to the rest of the world Egypt was able to prosper and grow, thanks to the Nile River that kept them alive. They were successful people, mainly due to their leaders thought history.

The Egyptians also had the first female rule, Hatshepsut. That interested Rogue a great deal.

There were rarely any uprisings in the ancient culture, mainly due to the Egyptians being under the belief that their leaders were descendents from gods.

Magneto continued on and showed her the some of their artwork and their writings in hieroglyphics.

"Amazingly preserved." Rogue commented. Magneto seamed pleased with that statement, and even more pleased when she wanted to know how it could have been amazingly intact for being thousands of years old.

The two of them probably spent close to four hours in the exhibits, learning, admiring, and enjoying each others company.

Later when they left (after turned the security system back on) he took her out for a walk in the English Countryside. Another part of a wonderful date. The grass was so green and fresh plants and herbs grew everywhere. (It rained five out of seven days most weeks which kept it so beautiful.)

Lastly when the sun went down Magneto took Rogue to a small restaurant in the Northern part of the country were the waiter was giving Erik a funny look. Rogue thought it was because he recognized the mutant terrorist Magneto, until the waiter commented that "Mr. Lehnsherr" was looking as youthful as he did forty years ago.

That made Rogue grin. Magneto told the waiter it was "healthy living and fresh air". As soon as he left Rogue whispered. "That handy machine might o-had somethin' to do with it."

"How could I possibly forget?" Magneto asked in an amused tone. "You are aware Wolverine wouldn't have been able to get in if it wasn't for your knowledge and your brother's teleporting. I hope you realize I will make you pay for that, and not at all in a subtle way."

Rogue grinned at his half-serious half-teasing attitude and shook her head.

Magneto introduced Rogue into spiced hot cider, which she ultimately fell in love with, as well as the bread pudding that he insisted she try. It was a wonderful way to end her visit to the U.K.

On the flight back Rogue challenged Erik to a friendly race, which he gladly accepted.

The race started out quick, moving with magnetic currents, causing them both to fly close to 1,800 miles an hour, this would have been damaging to any other megalomaniac that didn't put up a protective shield.

The race ended with Rogue in the lead with the Mansion in her sights, and she would have won too, if not for being grasped pushed to the side, making her loose her concentration and speed.

"Dirty cheater!" Rogue hollered as she touched the ground.

"Oh come now Anna, you never mentioned I had to play fair. It's not cheating if it's not a rule in the first place." Magneto smirked as he watched Rogue glare at him.

"Two can play at this game asshole!" Rogue said as she threw electromagnetic shock waves a him. They were relatively small and even if they did hit him , they were only designed to stun for a moment. Magneto put up a shield to protect him from the blue sparks. He laughed and rose into the air motioning for her to follow him.

'Gladly.' Rogue thought as she raced up to tackle him. Magneto let down his shield to grab her and counteract her manipulation of the magneto fields around them. Blue sparks flew everywhere.

"Anna really dear, you only have about a minute left with my power before it fades, what will you do then?"

Rogue lunged for some skin. "Ha, I think not." Magneto said in his smart-ass voice as he grabbed her wrists and pulled her against him, careful to keep his skin from touching hers.

Rogue struggled for at least a good thirty second before his power faded. "Asshole." Rogue said again as she glared at him through her tossed white streaks.

Magneto smiled down at her as he lowered them. "It was a good try dear, but you really didn't expect to win against me using my own power. Did you?" He asked as he baited her.

Rogue snarled. "Bastard."

Magneto's grip on her loosened as he enjoyed the display she was putting on. "I do enjoy it when you get angry, Anna." He said quietly.

"You have no idea how badly I want to kiss you right now." He said as he let go of her wrists.

"Why don't you? Afraid I'm going to steal your power and kick your ass?" Rogue taunted.

"No, I'm much more concerned about spoiling the surprise I finished yesterday."

That took Rogue off guard. "I didn't see any surprise when I absorbed you last."

"I've been trying not to think about it." He confessed. "Would you like to see it? Would that make up for me "cheating" to win the race?"

Rogue grinned. "Lead the way."

By the time they both reached the mansion doors they came into contact with an angry and tired band of students, Bobby, Rhane, and Jubilee.

"Who in the hell is having the light show? It's three o'clock in the morning!" Bobby shouted.

Confusion clouded Rogue until she remembered there was a time difference.

"We thought we were under attack." A groggy Rhane commented.

Rogue shook her head. "Sorry kiddos, nothing to be worried about." Rogue assured them.

"Go back to bed." Magneto ordered.

Bobby glared for a minute before stopping off, followed by the girls.

'Great more gossip to start tomorrow.' Rogue thought irritatedly.

Magneto guided her up to his room on the third floor, his was the only one on this level.

His room was unlike anything Rogue thought it would be. Magneto must have seen the look on her face.

"Expecting metal furniture?" He asked as he pulled a device out of the closet.

His room was fairly large, with a balcony and a desk, and a large bed in the back. Most of the furniture was wood oak and the chair in the room matched the carpet.

Rogue shook her head. "I just never figured you'd be one for black silk sheets." She answered as she stared at his bed.

Rogue heard the fragment chuckling in the back of her mind. "Wait, you didn't have those a few months ago did you?" Rogue asked knowingly.

"No, Anna." Magneto said with a smirk. "I bought those with the intention of seeing your beautiful pale skin against them."

Rogue's face wet slightly red.

Magneto smirked at her surprise and hit a few buttons on the small device, which gave off a slight purple sparks around the room that faded very quickly.

"It's a mutant power suppression device, specially modified for your DNA code." Magneto explained as he walked over and slid her glove off.

Rogue found herself speechless. Magneto held his hand out to her, letting her make the first move. Tentative, Rogue reached out slowly and gently let her finders brush against the palm of his hand. She felt only bare skin.

Shocked Rogue stood unmoving for a moment, before intertwining his fingers in hers. With a little more force she let her lips touch his briefly, also letting her fingers run across his cheek.

When she broke the kiss, still holding his hand, she brought him over to the bed where they sat.

"Thank you." Rogue whispered. "For some reason it's not nearly as exciting or important as it would have been a year ago, or even six months ago."

Rogue traced a finger up his neck and to his lips. "I think that's your doing. Don't get me wrong Erik, I appreciate this more than I can say, but the best gift you ever gave me was letting me use my gift, and showing me how to enjoy it without shame. I could touch you confidently, and enjoy that, even with being bombarded by memories."

Magneto smiled. "I'm thankful that I taught you to enjoy touching with your mutation active, and I'm glad that's more important to you than learning to shut off your power. This device is only a convenience, and an unnecessary one at that."

"Your right." Rogue agreed. "But I'm glad for it anyway."

Rogue was still exploring running her fingers over his skin. That night they kissed lightly and laid next to each other. Magneto had stripped down to his boxer shorts and Rogue slipped into one of his shirts wearing only her underwear underneath. That night they weren't intimate. They did fall asleep in his arms though, using his chest as a pillow. The last thing she heard before sleep took her was that he was comparing her to a kitten that rubs it's head on this it's something it was fond of to mark ownership, and to show affection.

Their next show of affection, two days later and at night, was a bit more heated than the first night she spent in his room.

It started out innocently enough. The suppression device was on so Rogue could give him a goodnight kiss. Just a peck on his lips that turned into a few more kisses, before Rogue had bit his bottom lip, exciting both of them.

In no time Magneto had Rogue shoved against the wall, which effectively excited her more than she would have thought. As their encounter got a bit more aggressive and desperate Rogue pressed her body from the wall, just feel how hard his body was, with his flushed cheeks and mussed hair it only added to the appeal.

Magneto gave her a lustful stare before picking her up and setting her on his bed. Rogue lay flat on her back as he climbed on top of her using his elbows to prop himself up.

His eyes met hers and asked a silent question. She didn't need him in her head to know what he was asking. And she knew damn well where this was going.

"Anna, this is something that can't be taken back." He whispered close to her face. "Is this a gift your ready to give me?"

"You know damn well I am ready for this." Rogue said.

"Anna, we're about to cross what your teammates would call a line."

"I think we passed that a long time ago, our night in Canada if you wanted an exact date."

"You know what I mean, Charles will find out about our relationship eventually. Giving yourself to me would not help your case."

"I want this, I want you. And for the first time I don't care what the Professor is going to say."

"Charles would claim it is inappropriate and that we were a bad match, because of your age. He would claim I would "abuse" you in some way, and that you would be better suited for someone your own age."

Rogue frowned.

"People have always sheltered me, because of my skin, and they never factored in my mind. What it did to me, replaying years worth of memories from people I've touched. You seem to be the only one who understands that, that allows me to be the adult that my mutation has made me into."

"I doubt Charles would see it that way." Magneto commented.

Rogue sighed.

"I know, but I honestly can't think of a better person for me. For a long time, when my mutation first emerged, I knew I couldn't be completely cut off from relationships as many others thought. And I knew I couldn't be dating just anyone, most boys would eventually become frustrated with the lack of physical contact and it wouldn't work, they would either cheat or dump me. A small number of them would be willing to look past it, and for the longest time I told myself that I needed to find someone that could look past it. I thought I could go for the nice guy was willing to look past my skin and try to make it work. I now realize I was wrong. I should have been looking for a man that would find my skin attractive, and would accept me for who I was. A man who found my skin desirable, and wouldn't push me to gain control. You are that man Erik. And I seriously doubt a person my age could find my skin attractive."

"My thoughts exactly, we aren't a bad match at all." Magneto assured her.

"As for the abuse part, I'm very happy being with you Erik, and I'm happy with the way you treat me, as a lover, nothing the Professor says is going to change that."

"And it's not just that, you encourage me to train, to defend myself, and you allow me to be me." Rogue stopped and looked him in his now crystal blue eyes, a result of his mutation over time.

"Enough about him." Magneto stated. "It's our night."

Rogue nodded and pushed the professor and her teammates out of her mind.

"I admire you Erik." Rogue said as she took one hand and weaved his white locks through her fingers."Your dedication to mutant-kind, and your skills as a leader."

Rogue stopped moving her fingers. "You want to hear something crazy?" She asked as she bit her lip.

"Hmm?" Magneto asked.

"Even when I'm angry with your arrogance, a small part of me finds it somewhat cute." Rogue whispered hesitantly as she leaned up to let her head rest on his chest. "It's crazy, but I think I like every part of you Erik. Every single bit."

Magneto gently grasped her cheek and moved her back to stare down into her eyes. He moved his thumb beneath one of them. He smiled and pecked her lips. "I know you do, Anna, love."

He brushed back her hair and gave her another light kiss, one slightly longer than the last. Rogue smiled against his lips and pressed harder, sinking in to his embrace. Magneto's grip on her cheek got tighter as he slipped his tongue in.

Rogue moved her hands slowly up and down his chest, until she came to stop on the top button and give it a flick open. Magneto pulled back to look her in the eye, and for a split second Rogue thought he would stop. In a way he was asking her the same silent question his eyes had asked minutes ago. It was going to hurt, and was she prepared to give herself to him despite the pain? Rogue gave him a shy smile and popped open another button.

"I want to be with you, Erik." Rogue whispered.

Erik returned her smile and moved to take off her last glove, then helped her slip out of her jacket, tossing it carelessly out of sight. Rogue grinned as she thought about how little sleep she was going to be getting tonight, and found that idea quite enjoyable.

"You haven't abused me." Rogue stated plainly as she laid in his arms afterwards.

Magneto smiled and ran his hands over her white locks. "You've made me very happy, Erik. You have for a long time now." Rogue mumbled as she let her head rest.

"I know I have, now sleep, here Rogue, in my arms. No more talk."

Rogue fell asleep smiling.
