Birthdays were usually something celebrated. Especially if your popular and surrounded by people that know every detail of your life. To some people birthdays meant they were finally old enough to have a phone or to proudly proclaim that they were a "big girl now". To others it meant they meant they were turning 29...for the fifteenth time.
But to Rogue, since she came to the institute, her birthdays really haven't meant that much to her. She was turning eighteen today, a fact known by none save for herself and her lover, Erik.
Though there really wasn't much to celebrate she already most everything an adult did. She taught students of her own and held a seat on the senior staff, she already had a license, and was in an sexual relationship. True, she was now defined as a "legal adult", though in her mind she had been an adult for a long time(thanks to her mutation).
There really wasn't anything other than cake to look forward to. At least that's what Rogue thought.
It was Friday afternoon and most of the students had been in a terrible mood, they were supposed to go to S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters today, but unfortunately the date had been pushed back another two weeks. Bobby on the other hand couldn't be happier, and spent all day trying to convince everyone they were nothing but clowns that screwed things up. Rogue personally didn't care either way, at least not until the afternoon danger room session got a slight bit more aggressive than necessary.
And by aggressive, it of course means an out of control fight that results with innocent bystanders going for a trip to the med lab.
Magneto was quite displeased and extended the session by two hours, forcing the New Mutants to do nothing but jump, hurdle, and run as they were chased by angry pieces of flying metal.
That amused Rogue, who at once(before she took up teaching them) had thought that Magneto was being hard on them. She now realized he wasn't being hard enough. They really were spoiled brats with super powers, and frankly a pain in ass to deal with on a day to day basis. Just earlier today Rogue had to chew Iceman out for purposely icing the floor of Principal Kelly's office(an offense that could very well get him expelled). As she attempted to rip Bobby a new one she was met with extreme disrespect and not at all taken seriously.
Though in truth Magneto only intended to extend the session by an hour, until he saw how much Rogue was enjoying it, before giving her some of his powers and letting her get in on the fun.
Iceman had been chased particularly ruthlessly, and it served him right for his stunt and disrespect earlier that morning.
When the session had ended Rogue sent them off to the showers with a grin.
It was a wonderful birthday gift to have the New Mutants so energy deprived that they couldn't destroy property or cause ruckus. And to Rogue's pleasant surprise that wasn't the end of the birthday gifts.
Magneto had fun planned.
After arriving at Rogue's room at half past eight, wishing her a happy birthday before engaging in a debate over corporal punishment, which somehow ended up with their topic being on the subject of domination.
Rogue argued that Professor Xavier wasn't trying to dominate his students, and Erik disagreed. No surprise there. In the end Erik stated that maybe domination was a strong word for Charles and instead argued that he was trying to turn them into his perfect students and had succeeded.
Rogue glared at that. Seeing this Magneto quickly revised his statement that all but one had been transformed into perfect pacifists.
"No you desire a completely different form of corruption altogether." He added.
When Rogue asked what that was supposed to mean Magneto answered her by pinning her to the wall. "The type that involved domination and submission."
Rogue swallowed hard and glared defiantly up at her lover. Magneto chuckled. "We are going to have some fun aren't we?" He challenged.
Magneto then ordered that she put her uniform on and stand quietly by her desk afterward to wait for him. But Rogue, determined to put up a fight instead lounged spread out on her bed in uniform casually reading a magazine.
And that was how Magneto found her when he strode into her room a few minutes later, fully dressed in his uniform.
His eyes widened with a mix excitement and anger. "You really are asking for it aren't you?" He asked as he flickered off the light and stood over her.
"Stand up." He ordered. Rogue did, but not without scowling. That was part of the game, though Rogue didn't know much about her role, she did have enough sense to know she was supposed to make this a challenge.
"Listen carefully, Rogue. I am the general, you are my devoted solider. You will do as I say, when I say. Understand?"
Rogue stopped scowling. "Yes."
Magneto's seized her chin and forced it upward, toward him. "Yes, what?"
"Yes, sir." Rogue corrected with a sarcastic tone.
"This is your last warning. Keep it up little girl and I will have you in handcuffs." Magneto threatened, just like Rogue wanted.
Rogue's eyes widened with anticipation. "Of course you will, Magneto." Rogue said arrogantly, purposely goading him on, knowing he would do it.
Magneto eyes matched hers as he smirked. "We are going to have quite a bit of fun tonight aren't we?" He repeated.
"Is that normal?" Rogue asked as they laid naked in bed together. They were finished being general and solider now. She was Anna and he was
Erik. "To like it rough and to want to take orders, inside the bedroom I mean."
Magneto smirked and pulled her closer to him. "Of course, it's perfectly natural, especially for you." He said. "Try not to take offense to that Anna, in fact I mean it as a compliment."
"How so?"
"You are especially wild and not easily chained. I admire that about you. But there are times, in our bedroom, when your defiant little self wants someone else to come along and take the control away. It is perfectly natural."
"Someone being you." Rogue stated. Magneto smiled. "I've been thinking about that actually. We fit well together, with your secret desire to dominate and mine to submit."
"True, except that I've hardly made it a secret." Magneto corrected her.
"Whatever, you get what I mean."
"Indeed I do. Would you do me a favor Anna?"
"Mmhhmmm." Rogue said as she let an arm fall across his chest and tug him closer.
"Wear this." A piece of metal from her dresser flew out and into his hand.
"My bracelet, the one you made for me the first time we stayed at the resort in Canada."
Magneto nodded and slipped it onto her wrist.
"Your marking me?" Rogue asked.
"Claiming is a little more like it."
"I don't like the idea of belonging to someone." Rogue stated plainly.
"I didn't like it either. To share yourself is to divide yourself, Anna. Although I can make an exception in your case."
"You saying you belong to me?"
"Parts of me do." He said quietly.
"Would one of them be a sentimental organ?" Rogue asked as she traced circles on his chest.
"Perhaps, quite possibly." Magneto replied as ran his hands though her hair.
'Oh, Erik, you are doomed.' Rogue thought.
Rogue rested her head on his chest and kissed the bare skin that wasn't covered by the blanket. 'But then, I probably am too.'
Two weeks later.
"Finally!" Jubilee said as she got off the plane and looked around the hangar. They had finally arrived on the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helli-carrier, better known as The Nest.
"Awesome, I'll bet I'll finally be able to play with the big boy toys!" Forge said happily as he looked around.
A S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, their guide smiled and nodded. "Yes, your the kid that's supposed to help find Mr. Sinister right? The laboratory is on the far side, We'll drop you off their once were finished with the tour."
Rogue smiled and headed for the East Wing. While the students toured the area she was to report to medical lab to meet with Dr. Moria MacTaggart. It didn't really bother her that she was missing out on the tour. She had been aboard The Nest before during the first Apocalypse Incident. Rogue just hoped the Kurt and Magneto would keep the students(particularly Bobby).
Dr. MacTaggart was at her microscope when Rogue arrived.
"Rogue, dearie, good to see you." the Scottish doctor greeted her. Rogue smiled. "Good to see you too doctor."
Rogue hopped up onto one of the tables and as she was scanned. This was nothing new. She had done the same thing at the Mansion the last time Dr. MacTaggart visited.
Dr. MacTaggart raised her eyebrow when she saw Rogue grinning into space. But the doctor shook her head and took Rogue's blood. She slowly prepared a few drops on a slide.
"You seem rather happy." The doctor commented.
"Hmm? Oh, yeah." Rogue said casually. "You know Rogue I've noticed quite the change in you ever since our visit in Canada, nearly six months ago."
"Really?" Rogue asked.
"Yes. It's a good change, you seem happier." D. MacTaggart said as she adjusted her dial and enlarged her cells.
"Well!" The Doctor cried out suddenly. "This is a surprise."
"What is?" Rogue asked as she hopped off the table.
Dr. MacTaggart turned to her. "I realize everyone is entitled to their secrets, Rogue. And do understand that I have a firm doctor patient confidentiality. But dear when were you going to tell me you had become sexually active?"
Shocked Rogue stood there with her jar open. "You can tell, just from looking at my cells?" Rogue nearly shouted.
A doctor in white on the far end of the lab looked up from his work to stare quizzically at the raised voices. "Keep your voice down Rogue." Dr. MacTaggart said as she gestured to a seat next to her.
Rogue was still to surprised to sit. "I- It's nobody's business but mine!" Rogue defended angrily.
"Yes , dear I know it's your business but I'm your doctor. I'm not judging you, in fact it's quite normal for people your age." She once again gestured to the chair.
This time Rogue sat. "As your doctor, I need to know every single factor in this equation that is you. Do you understand, Rogue?"
Rogue took several deep breaths. Counting to three as she inhaled, hold for three, exhale for three. Dr. MacTaggart waited patiently.
"Yes. I'm a dangerous and powerful mutant and you need to know everything that could influence my power." Rogue admitted with a sigh.
"I just wanted to keep it to myself." Rogue defended. She looked up at her doctor. "Your not going to ask how?"
Dr. MacTaggart shook her head. "That is your business as long as your not using dangerous radioactive chemicals. Though it would help my fears if you would share with me."
Rogue chewed on her bottom lip and looked down into her lap. The metal bracelet was resting securely on her wrist. Rogue gave it a squeeze as she looked back to Dr. MacTaggart.
A suppression device. When on, it renders my powers inactive. It's completely safe." Rogue assured her.
"Your positive?"
Rogue nodded confidently. "It was built by one of the best engineers on the planet."
The ladies were interrupted by a phone that went off.
"Well then there is no problem." Dr. MacTaggart assured her as she moved for her phone.
Rogue breathed a sigh of relief. It almost felt nice to have someone to confine to, even if she wasn't telling Moira everything.
Moira hung up her phone.
"That was the bridge, they'd like you up there."
Rogue nodded and turned to leave.
"Ahh, Doctor?" Rogue said as she paused.
"Your not going to tell Professor Xavier are you?"
Dr. MacTaggart smiled. "Doctor patient confidentiality dear, my lips are forever sealed."
Give me feedback please! Pretty please? Would you have more motivation if I gave you a preview of the next chapter? Ah, well I'll give it to you anyway.
Preview: The action will start up again! Isn't that great? Time to kick butt again! On top of that, there will be the exciting confrontation that everyone has been waiting for! (I'm so excited by the last part I'll probably update in a few days!)
VERY IMPORTANT! I just posted this new "Rogneto" story called "Chronicles".
It's sort of a Rogneto story, with a twist, or two, okay more like three.
It's set in the comic-verse. Starring the Clone of Magneto Joseph(who existed in the 90's for those of you that read comics) and my own character, a child clone of Rogue created by Joseph's villainous Brotherhood to kick the Avenger's asses! Though created for that purpose alone the girl will prove herself to be an essential factor in history and Joseph's life. (Best part: You get to see Rogue as a bad ass villain again!) Please note: warned me it may take a few hours to upload.
