The journey back to the Fire Nation was awkward, but shorter than anticipated.

"There you are," said Katara.

"Yes, here I am. Were you looking for me?" Zuko asked.

"Yes, I wanted to talk to you about meeting Ursa," said Katara.

"I don't think you'll have anything to worry about. You're the first girl, who I've brought to meet her," said Zuko.

Katara's brows rose up then she said, "What about Mai?"

"Mai was Azula's friend. I don't think she knows anything that I haven't told her, unless my uncle has told her," said Zuko.

"Great," Katara said unenthusiastically.

"Sorry to interrupt," said Sokka, as he approached cautiously.

"Relax Sokka. We aren't doing anything that will give you the oogies," said Katara.

Zuko quirked his brow but decided not to ask.

"Actually, it sounded like you guys were getting ready to fight," said Sokka. He waited for a reply, but Katara just narrowed her eyes and took a deep breath. "I heard from the Captain said we are almost there."

Iroh appeared. "I hope I'm not interrupting."

"No, Sokka was just telling us we are almost there," said Katara. Iroh looked at Katara then Zuko.

They arrived in Hira'a.

"Zuko, it's good to see you," said Ursa, as she hugged her son.

"It's good to see you, too," Zuko replied, as the hug ended. Iroh, Katara, and Sokka arrived on the docks. "Where are Kiyi and Ikem?"

"They are at the house," said Ursa. "Shall we head there?"

They went to Ursa's home, and were greeted by Ikem and Kiyi.

"The reason we are here is that I have an important announcement," said Zuko. He cleared his throat, and Katara stood next to him and offered her hand which Zuko accepted. "I have proposed to Katara and she accepted."

"I thought Katara and Aang...," said Ursa confused, then she looked at her son.

"Aang is going to marry an airbender," said Katara, as she squeezed Zuko's hand.

"An airbender? I thought they were all wiped except the Avatar," said Ursa.

"Aang discovered one of his followers was an airbender. We broke up after that. I was hurt at first, but I realized that there are more important things. Zuko and I became closer after he helped me get my bending back. Then when he proposed I was very surprised. I didn't answer him right away because I was focusing on getting Gran-Gran, my grandmother, well since she was sick. Zuko came to see me and well, let Zuko tell the rest," said Katara as she nudged Zuko.

"Uh, I went to see Katara, and I asked her again. She accepted and then I got approval from her father," said Zuko.

"Yeah, he even went ice dodging," said Sokka, as he patted Zuko on the shoulder.

"I-I see," said Ursa surprised.

"What's ice dodging?" Kiyi asked.

"It's a rite of passage," said Sokka. "You steer a boat and dodge through icebergs."

Katara shot Sokka a look.

"That sounds dangerous," said Ursa concerned.

"Zuko had it all under control," said Sokka.

"Did you know about any of this?" Ursa asked as she narrowed her eyes at Iroh.

"Alas, no. I was only told the news recently," said Iroh.

"I see," said Ursa. Ikem stood next to her.

"He must really love her," said Ikem as he looked at Zuko. Katara let go of Zuko's hand.

"We plan on announcing our engagement," said Zuko.

"But we thought it you should know first," said Katara.

"I-I don't know what to say," said Ursa. "I want you to be happy, but aren't you worried?"

"We aren't going to marry right away," said Zuko. "That way people can get used to the idea."

Ursa furrowed her brow. "What about if they don't?"

"We will face it together," said Zuko.

"If it's what you want, and it will make you happy," said Ursa. She smiled.

Aang announced to the Earth Kingdom in Ba Sing Se that he and Xing Ying were getting married.

"Why don't we stop for some tea before heading to the Fire Nation?" Aang asked Xing Ying.

"Sure. The Jasmine Dragon?" Xing Ying replied.

"Sounds good. I haven't introduced you to Iroh," said Aang.

"You said the others were there the last time you came. How did they react?" Xing Ying asked.

"Well, Zuko was the only one who said anything," said Aang nervously.

"What did the Fire Lord think?"

"He thought it was sudden," said Aang as he took a step back.

"If Katara was an airbender, would we even be together?" Xing Ying asked.

"I don't know," Aang said as he looked down. Then he looked up at her and said, "I want us to be together. And it's not cause you're an airbender."

"Let's go and meet Iroh," said Xing Ying as she smiled at Aang.

They went in front of the Jasmine Dragon only to discover it was closed.

"I guess we're heading to the Fire Nation," said Aang.

"Since it says it's closed, that sounds like a good idea," said Xing Ying.

"I'm glad things went well for you guys," said Sokka to Zuko and Katara.

"Me too," said Zuko.

"I think I'm going to head to Kyoshi," said Sokka.

"Do you need a way there?" Zuko asked.

"Thanks for the offer, but I'll manage on my own. I want to surprise Suki," said Sokka.

"I think she will be," said Katara.

Sokka hugged Katara.

"I'll be back before you announce your engagement," said Sokka, then he left.

"Shall we head to the Capital?" Zuko asked Katara.

"Let's go," said Katara.
