Rogue was only slightly aware of her surroundings and the people around her. There were scans taken with miniature handheld portable devices, she knows that much. She easily lost count though with the painful throbbing in her head that only seemed to subside when she felt a prick in her arm.

Her senses also dulled. If Rogue had to guess she would say the pain in her arm was due to a needle that probably contained a painkiller. Well that was nice of them.

"Oh, big zister Can you hear me?" Kurt's accented voice sounded higher than usual. Probably due to the medication.

Rogue groaned in response. She attempted to move her odd feeling limbs. Most of her muscles felt fuzzy and doped, and they didn't seem to inclined to move. Rogue squinted to see details on the blue figure standing over her. Rogue could barely make out his yellow eyes.

"How bad is it?" Rogue asked to no in particular.

The scanners stopped beeping as they were folded back into their cases.

"Not terrible." Magneto's voice assured her as she felt his hand on her forehead. "Only a slight concussion from the impact, but there appears to be no internal bleeding. Very fortunate. Your knees aren't shattered either, though it may certainly feel like it."

Rogue tried to move her leg and winced as she felt the pain of her kneecap moving. "You're right, they hurt like a bitch."

She didn't have to see him to know his lips were twitching upward in amusement at her language.

"The Brotherhood?" Rogue asked hopefully.

Magneto braced her back as he gently raised her up to sit. "They are secured in the Blackbird. We'll be escorting them back to the institute were we will be handling the interrogation, before releasing them into S.H.E.I.L.D custody."

Rogue rubbed her head. "And Furry argreed to us handeling the interrogation?" Her voice was full of surprise.

"Wolverine is with Director Furry. He spoke with him and pointed out the obvious benefit to having a telepath in the interrogation. Furry agreed to a joint interrogation as long as S.H.E.I.L.D. agents where in the room."

Rogue nodded despite the pain. "Logan does have a lot of influence over Furry doesn't he? Why doesn't S.H.E.I.L.D. want the interrogation to happen on the Nest? You would think there would be some sort of protocol to follow when a S.H.E.I.L.D. warehouse is compromised."

A bamf was heard as Kurt teleported away, possibly back to the Blackbird.

"The Nest is still having repairs since Sinster's attack. The damage is extensive."

Magneto gently picked Rogue up and proceeded to carry her to the Blackbird. "You are not to walk for at least an hour, and do not attempt to make your mutation active whether it be absorbing someone or using powers collected from the psyches."

A scowl appeared on Rogue's face. As much as she would like to argue, she knew well enough he was probably right about using her powers, besides her head was killing her right now anyway.

"Why are we having to use the danger room?" Spyke asked once he was briefed on the situation. "Why doesn't the Prof. have a interrogation room?"

Rogue rolled her eyes. "Evan this is a school." She reminded him. "Granted not a normal school, but still a school. I think some people might have an issue with an interrogation room in a school."

Evan rolled his eyes right back. "So it's okay to have a room that shoots fire and spinning death claws at you, but heaven forbid we have an interrogation room."

Walking down the hall in silence Rogue chose to ignore him, after all she had more pressing matters to deal with than a cranky mutant who was pissed about not getting to go on the mission.

The observation deck door opened easily to a room crowded with New Mutants.

Rogue frowned. "Aren't you all supposed to be upstairs running Logan's a course outside?"

Many of the New Mutants turned in surprise, some of them embarrassed to be caught somewhere they know they shouldn't be. They were undoubtedly listening into the interrogation happening below. Amara was the fist to speak.

''Well we you see we..."

"Already finished it." Jubliee added quickly.

The rest of the mutants nodded in agreement.

"Really?" Rogue asked. "Already? It's only been an hour." Rogue wasn't stupid, she knew it took Logan at least an hour and a half to complete the course, and he was the fastest by far. The New Mutants usually took double his time.

'An hour my ass.' Rogue thought to herself as she quickly realized they were lying.

"You must have really rushed through it." Rogue continued.

Bobby nodded. "Yeah we sure did. Didn't want to miss this!" He said as he gestured down to the Brotherhood members in restraints.

"Well then you couldn't possibly have learned much from rushing through it so fast. How about you run it again?" Rogue enjoyed the horrified look from the students as they gaped at her.

"That's not fair!" Jubilee shouted.

"Cheating and lying about a course you were supposed to be running isn't fair either. Now get back outside and run it again, properly this time!" Rogue added the last bit with more force to make sure they understood it was not a request.

"Spyke doesn't have to run the course!" Ray protested.

Rogue sighed angrily. "Spyke, as the official head of the New Mutants, ran through the course twice this morning. Now get up there!"

"How is Spyke the official head? I thought I was going to be the leader!"

Rogue rubbed her temples. This was definitely not what she wanted hear after being whacked in the head (and knees) with a piece of warehouse. Stupid mutants where doing nothing to her now but aiding to her slight headache. Maybe she would take more pain pills in a few more hours.

"Go. Run. The. Course. NOW!"

Several of the students shuffled to the door silently searing in anger while some brazenly scowled and made death looks in Rogue's direction. Rogue just shrugged and thought of her lover running them down in the danger room the next day. That image seemed to bring her a small bit of joy. Tonight she would have to request something special to cause a little bit of extra soreness for the lies they told.

Now with them completely gone Rogue was able to turn her attention to the interrogation happening below.

All the members were tied up with metal wrappings, Quicksilver with a few extra to prevent escape, Lance had only hand mittens to prevent him from using his powers, and Wanda had a psychic ward straitjacket put over her.

S.H.E.I.L.D agent Maria Hill was assisting in the interrogation along with Professor Xavier and Magneto.

"Listen kids, this can go the easy way or the hard way. You can tell us what in the hell you were doing in our warehouse, or we can go through a painful interrogation."

Toad attempted to catch a fly roaming around with his tongue. He snickered. "Yo' man I know my rights. You can't do nothin' to hurt us."

Agent Hill nodded without protest. "True, I can't injure you. But him-" She gestured to Magneto. "-he can cause all the injuries he likes. And based on the chances of all the mutant lives that could have been lost today due to your stunt I can't guarantee Xavier can hold him back."

A large swallow went down Toad's throat as he turned nervously to Magneto. "Oh, well when you put it that way..."

"We're not telling you anything!" Lance Alvers shouted angrily.

Professor Xavier wheeled around to face the mutant in question. "That's perfectly fine Avalanche, you don't have to say a word."

Wanda scoffed. "He's bluffing! He's to noble to be going into someones mind without permission."

Now Xavier turned to face her. A disappointed look took over his face. Like an experiment that had failed, and in Wanda's case that's probably what it was. A mutant he had once held high hopes for only to come crashing down when she landed in the clutches of Mystique.

"That is not an entirely incorrect statement. Under normal circumstances I would not enter someones mind without permission. However given the seriousness of your crimes I may have to make an exception. Unless of course you choose answer our questions. What were you looking for in that facility and why?"

All members of the Brotherhood still remained silent. Even Toad, under pressure and clearly nervous didn't say a thing.

"Hard way it is." Agent Hill concluded.

Xavier nodded in agreement. "Unfortunately."

As the professor was prepared to put his fingers to his temples to concentrate Wanda suddenly spoke. "How's Rogue? And the rest of the X-Men?" Her voice was more sly than genuine compassion.

"Must have been an awful blow to her head, hope she doesn't come out with brain damage."

Magneto's nostrils flared a bit at the mention of Rogue's injuries. Clearly pleased with getting even a slight reaction Wanda continued. "I'm perfectly fine, thanks for asking Father."

The metal on her straitjacket tightened suddenly. It was enough to make her gasp and choke slightly. This only seemed to encourage her.

"Mystique came by the other day." Wanda informed them. "Yelling and hollering about her daughter fighting some aliens in space and saving an Apocolypse brat that was going to raze the Earth. Then she started ranting about how Magneto would pay for putting hands on her daughter."

Agent Hill took alarm immediately. "Mystique? The international mutant terrorist? She knows about the boy clone?!"

"Please tell me you did not break into a secure facility to get my attention." Magneto spoke harshly. Disgusted with the behavior of his daughter.

"Or did Mystique put you up to this?" Xavier asked.

Wanda snorted again. "Mystique doesn't need any device to kill some brat that hasn't even got his powers yet. The tools were for us."

"And what were you planning on doing with these dangerous devices you attempted to steal?" Magneto demanded.

She was grinning again. Not the type of grin you have when your watching a prank, but the sadistic type that meant there would be pain.

"Oh, you know rob couple of banks, blow up a school, kill a couple of X-Men."

This produced an immediate reaction in Magneto, who once again seized Wanda by her throat as he had done in the warehouse. When it came to the safety of his people there was no questioning how far he was willing to go. It didn't matter whether it was a bunch of dreamer brats hiding in a mansion following a doomed dream. They were still mutants.

"You would not dare!" He roared angrily.

Wanda kicked and tired to scream. Still though she was satisfied that she had gone far enough. One more jab had to be made before her father did serious harm. "You know I hear Mystique wants her little girl back. Wouldn't count on her being around much longer." She managed to choke out before Magneto threw her across the Danger Room.

"Erik!" Professor Xavier chastised.

Agent Hill moved to be check and see if Wanda's restraints where still in place, which thankfully they were. Wanda started coughing and gasping for air across the room. He faced Agent Hill.

"They're all yours."

Agent Hill nodded. "Understood. We would like to keep them here for the night, if Professor Xavier will allow it. The cells won't be ready until tomorrow."

Magneto gritted his teeth angrily, definitely not wanting them to stay any longer than needed.

"Yes that will be fine." Xavier said quickly as Magneto stormed out.
