A/N- Bad writers block! I know! Kill me now! Also school and FFA (look it up if you don't know what it is). Hopefully this chapter will be long enough for ya'll.

After Hiccup introduced the guardians to everyone and explained everything Astrid felt relieved but then also decided to punch him in the arm.

"Ow what was that for?"

"That's for leaving without telling us," Then she did her normal routine and pulled him in for a kiss.

"That's for explaining everything."

Jack and Merida decided to go and look around Berk while Rapunzel offered to stay and help fix the tail. Hiccup immediately got to work at fixing the tail and told Rapunzel what to do whenever he needed the help.

"There what do you think?" he asked while holding it up.

"I think it will work just fine." Rapunzel answered.

They walked back to Hiccup's house talking along the way when all of a sudden they heard a loud roar and saw smoke coming from the forest. Hiccup immediately suspected it was the twins and went to investigate.

He did end up finding the twins but then he saw ice patches everywhere and a certain hand holding a fireball. Merida turned around and then grinned sheepishly.

"Oh uh hey I thought you lads were fixing the tail." Merida said.

"We did. So what's been going on here?" Rapunzel asked.

"Dude we like totally wanted to make this wild monstrous nightmare angry by throwing ice at it." Tuffnut explained.

"I had to do it. It looked fun until it lit itself on fire and chased me." Jack said.

Hiccup face palmed and didn't even say anything. He just walked away shaking his head. Rapunzel sighed and followed. Eventually Jack, Merida, and the twins headed back too. After an evening of talking and laughing at lame jokes everyone eventually hit the hay. They all slept peacefully except for Rapunzel as she stirred in her sleep from a horrible nightmare.

She woke up almost screaming and taking heavy breathes. This woke Jack up and he right away knew that it was Pitch trying to break her.

"Do you want to talk about it?" he asked.

She vigorously shook her head.

"It might help you feel better."

"It started off so well with me and Eugene sitting in the field. Then I saw a shadow over us and when I turned around I…I saw Gothel. I ran as fast as I could without even thinking about Eugene. Once I realized I ran back but when I got there…" Rapunzel couldn't even say the last part.

"It's just a nightmare. I know it's difficult but you can't let Pitch get to you. He tried with me once." Jack said.

"Are you sure we can even beat him? He's too powerful and he's got help. Like North told us we have to do this one by ourselves."

"I know we can do it. We just have to believe and never give up."

She smiled and after a little more talking, Rapunzel was able to fall back asleep. Jack however, stayed up knowing that the lack of sleep wouldn't affect him. The next day after everyone had breakfast Hiccup decided to give the guardians a flying tour of Berk.

They were just about to land when suddenly a nightmare flew right past Toothless and it made him spin out of control. Out of the blue nightmares were everywhere and while the guardians were trying to fight them off in the sky, they didn't notice how many had dived down and started to destroy Berk. Most Vikings tried fighting off the nightmares but they were outnumbered.

Hiccup finally noticed and steered Toothless to land. Merida hopped off and started firing arrows while Hiccup and Toothless slashed and blasted most of the nightmares. Somehow all the guardians landed in the center of the plaza and they were all surrounded by nightmares.

"You guys take the ones on the left and we'll take the ones on the right?" Jack asked in a non-confident manner.

Pitch then appeared behind them with an evil smile on his face. Rapunzel, Merida, Jack, and Hiccup and Toothless went to strike him at the same time but some force pushed them all back knocking them into unconsciousness.

When they woke up Pitch was gone and the other riders were standing over them worried. They said that Pitch left after they fell unconscious and they started fixing the village.

"I guess this means we have to go look for him." Rapunzel said.

"Yeah but how? He's not exactly easy to find." Merida stated.

"We'll figure something out." Jack said.

"So you're leaving already?" Astrid asked.

"Sorry but I promise I will come back." Hiccup said.

"You better and make sure to come back alive."

Hiccup laughed and gave her a quick peck on the cheek. The guardians all said their goodbyes and soon flew off.

"So where to next?" Hiccup asked.

"Wherever this thing takes us." Jack said as he threw a snow globe.

They all flew into the portal in confusion of where it might take them. Oddly enough it took them to Pitch's lair. As soon as Toothless landed he immediately started growling sensing that something was coming. Everyone else got into a fighting stance but nothing came.

"Pitch! You can't hide forever!" Jack yelled.

"Thanks for letting him know we're here." Merida snapped sarcastically.

"Does it matter? He probably knew we were coming here before we did." Hiccup said.

"Does anyone else feel like we're being watched?" Rapunzel asked.

No one answered. They all turned to see a tall shadow on the wall.

"Hello children."

Everyone then turned to see Pitch and a herd of nightmares behind him. They had no time to react when suddenly the first nightmare charged to attack. Hiccup took out his sword and he and Jack fought off the nightmare not realizing that more started charging after them.

The girls were battling nightmares as well. Rapunzel used her hair to snag them and sometimes swing them into each other. She also used her frying pan to knock them into oblivion. Merida had some luck with her archery, mostly because she kept setting her arrows on fire before shooting them.

Jack eventually deflected from the nightmares and started to take on Pitch. He used his staff to shoot ice at every possible angle. But of course Pitch either dodged them with ease or created a weapon of his own and slashed the ice into mist. They dueled it out until Jack jumped high in the air ready to swing his staff down on Pitch but he was stopped. Pitch created a giant hammer and swung it at Jack sending him flying into the wall. Jack was knocked unconscious.

Everyone else went to go and help which left them surrounded by angry nightmares. They were trapped and had nowhere to go. That is until Toothless decided to come in and save the day. (lol) He blasted them and knocked most of them into dust. Hiccup and Merida quickly hopped onto Toothless and took off. Rapunzel took off making the base bigger for the unconscious Jack. Once they were out they all collapsed out of breathe from the fight.

"Is he gonna be okay?" Hiccup asked.

"He will once I get to work." Rapunzel said.

"I'll set up a fire." Merida said.

Later on they were all in a forest but moved far enough from Pitch's hole. Rapunzel did the best she could with healing Jack but he still remained unconscious. Merida caught some fish which Toothless then ate causing her to go and get more.

Merida and Rapunzel fell asleep which left Hiccup and Toothless that last ones awake. Toothless nudged his rider with a concerned look on his face.

"It's okay bud. I'm fine." Hiccup said. But the dragon didn't look convinced.

"Yeah I know. He's tough to beat but I don't know how to fight him." He sighed.

His thoughts were interrupted when he saw something falling from the sky. He walked over and found the strangest thing. It was a little bag.

Hiccup took it back to the camp site and put it in his saddlebag. He decided to wait until everyone was awake to find out what was in the bag.
