Tsunade herself came to deliver the news. "Sakura will be fine. Luckily for those dead ninja they missed her vitals by scant inches. Sakura's sleeping off the medication right now and should be awake in a few hours." She announced. "Thank goodness." Tenten sighed in relief. "When can she go home?" Naruto asked. "Tomorrow if everything's ok." Tsunade replied. The blond nodded and headed out to deliver the good news to his absent friend and teammate. Tenten and, amazingly, Kakashi stayed to wait for her to wake up. "She'll be fine. I've seen Sakura recover from worse." Kakashi said. Tenten nodded. "I know but every time she takes a hit, I always worry that it'll be the one that beats her healing skills." She replied. Kakashi nodded. "I know what you mean. I've been there from the beginning of her ninja career and while I wasn't the best teacher, I still worry the same worries as any other teacher or even a parent." He said.

Sakura groaned softly and shielded her eyes from the glare of the hospital lights. "I feel like I got hit by a particularly nasty Rasengan mixed with a vicious Chidori." She said. Tsunade chuckled. "I imagine." She replied. "How's Sasuke doing?" Sakura asked. "I don't know. He hasn't come by since you returned from your mission." Tsunade replied. Sakura nodded. "I bet he's either mad because I got hurt or he's so worried that he feels too proud to come by and see me. I don't know what it could be. Maybe he's staying because he thinks Taki shouldn't see me like this." Sakura shrugged. Tsunade snorted. "That boy has seen you in way worse states than this one." She said. "True. But Sasuke's there now so he doesn't have to." Sakura replied.

"You'll be able to go home tomorrow if everything turns out ok. But you'll be on light duty until I've cleared you." Tsunade said. "Hai Shishou." Sakura replied tiredly. Shizune brought food in for the pink haired kunoichi and Sakura smiled because it wasn't hospital food. After she finished eating, Sakura got comfortable and drifted off to sleep. When Shizune left, Sakura was dead to the world and that was how the other kunoichi liked it for the simple fact that Sakura worked entirely too hard sometimes and didn't always rest enough for the hours.

Sasuke sighed in relief as he got word that Sakura was just fine. "I want to see my mom." Taki said solemnly. "We should let her rest before we bother her with visitors." Sasuke replied. Taki ignored him and got his sandals on before heading toward the door. "Where are you going?" Sasuke asked. "To see my mom." Taki replied. Sasuke cursed silently as he joined his headstrong son on his trip to the hospital. "You're just like your mother you know." He grumbled. Taki beamed. "Thank you." He replied cheerfully.

Sakura cracked one eye open when she heard a commotion in the hallway. "What's going on out there?" She flagged down a nurse. "Ruuka-san is arguing with a couple of guys wanting to visit you Sakura-sama." The nurse giggled. Sakura growled and sat up slightly. "Chiori-chan please tell Ruuka-san to let them in before I get out of bed." She said gruffly. Chiori obeyed her irate sempai and went to go tell Ruuka her orders. With much grumbling and some heavy glaring, Ruuka let Sasuke and Taki in to see the pinkette. "Hi mama." He said cheerfully. Sakura smiled ruefully. "You're just like your daddy." She said fondly. "Oi! I'm standing right here." Sasuke complained. "I like his version better." Taki confided in her. Sakura laughed. "Did you decide to leave by yourself?" She asked. "Yeah. I'm always here when you're hurt. Why should that change just because he's here?" Taki replied. Sakura sighed. "You can't just decide to do things like this on your own. I have plenty of enemies out there and so does your dad that would love to get their hands on you." She scolded. Taki nodded solemnly. "I understand. I won't do it again." He promised. "Thank you." Sakura replied. Sasuke scowled. "That's not fair." He grumbled. Sakura smiled. "Ah but Sasuke he's not used to you yet." She said cheerfully. Sasuke sighed and sat down in one of the chairs next to her bed. "How long until you get out?" He asked. "Tomorrow if everything's ok." Sakura replied. "Will you be put on the duty roster right away?" Sasuke asked. "No. Not for a few days or a week at least. Standard procedure and all. We can use my forced vacation time as bonding time." Sakura replied.

Chapter Four has been completed. Enjoy.
