K.O. went and checked on his apprentice first. She was already up and checking herself for any bruises or wounds. K.O. smirked and went off to check up on the other one.
Dawn was hugging the little brown bear and crying silently. K.O. was about to ask what was wrong when he heard her whisper, "I remember you, but just barely. Who am I? Why can't I remember that?" After a few minutes of this, the young girl seemed to have cried herself to sleep.
K.O. was shaking his head, 'so it did hit her hard, … all of this. I hope she makes it through all of it alright.'
K.O. went back to Grovyle and sat next to him.
"How are they?"
"Tired, as they should be. Listen, you remember a while back when we came up with that crazy idea?"
"Which one, with you, there are way too many crazy ideas."
"The one that the professor forbade us to ever even try." His voice was even foreboding as he said this.
"Oh that… what about it?" Grovyle was a little interested.
"What if we did it without the professor knowing? We could leave the girls with Celeste and be on our way. They'd be safe and we could do it all without a snitch telling on us. So what do you think?"
"I think that there is a flaw in your plan, K.O." Grovyle barely smirked.
"Oh, and what's that?"
"The kid with amnesia, if what you say is true, then she won't stand for being alone. Especially now that she's heard your idea." He chuckled.
"Wait what?" he turned his head toward a kick right into his face. "Oof"
"What the heck are you thinking? You really think that you two can go off on your own and do whatever you want to! After the beating that Grovyle just took, are you mental, K.O.? I thought Grovyle had been nearly beaten to a pulp, not you." Dawn's eyes were near grey and seemed to be glowing. She had her teddy bear in her jacket pocket and had all her gear on. She was ready to go. She was no longer tired.
"Don't worry kid; you and Mandara will be able to come along with us. I'm not going anywhere with an Oshawatt who can't even defend himself from a little girl." Grovyle chuckled lightly. He was healing rapidly.
"What's up with your healing, Grovyle? Isn't it a bit fast?" Her curiousness was peaked again. Her mind also seemed to change subject and age every once in a while.
"Around here it's normal. With time being frozen, as long as our minds work we can do almost anything. Only problem with that is knowing your limits and knowing how to do it."
"So . . . say I want to see the flowers bloom again, could I do it?" she smirked.
"No." Grovyle was stone cold again. "Not unless you're the most powerful sorceress in existence and even then you'd have trouble. This ability works more with just your body's healing and motor skills."
Dawn nodded as though she understood. 'So that's what happened to my strength and my jump. I hoped that I could help and I was strong enough to do it. I better be careful. I could hurt someone with that.'
"Grovyle, don't tell her stuff like that. It's dangerous just to do that, at least for humans." K.O. was rubbing his face from the beating he just took. He looked at Dawn and noticed her eyes were back to forest green. "Besides, it's not like we can train a human to fight Darius and his Sableyes all the time; that time was just pure luck."
"Time . . . time? Time! Of course, what if we got time moving again? What if we did that?" Dawn had just asked K.O.'s own idea into her own words. "If we got time to move on its own again, then everyone would be happy and good again right?"
"Not everyone, but it is an idea. Why didn't you think of it K.O.?" Grovyle chuckled with mocked surprise.
"Come on, how hard can it be? All we have to do is restart all the clocks right?" She really was simple at times. You could easily tell she was just a little girl on the inside, especially with an idea like that.
That was when the Chimchar decided to get up. "Well let's just say that what really needs to happen is that someone from the past puts it together to go and fix the whole world's "Clock", Temporal Tower, before time is frozen. To fix that they would need to find the missing Time Gears, which are scattered all around the world on the non-human half of the planet. Then when all of that is done, someone would need to figure out how to get to the "Clock" tower and put the gears in place. Not only is that highly dangerous, but its near impossible." She said. Her eyes were a light with a bit of anger.
"Not near impossible, is impossible" muttered K.O.
Dawn smiled like a kid who just got told that every day was Christmas. "Let's go for it! There are plenty of us to do it with little to no problem, besides, I don't remember a real good definition for impossible." She winked while grinning innocently.
Mandara looked at her and smirked. "I haven't properly introduced myself. I'm Mandara Firemelody or Mandy for short. I'm a bit of a sorceress, not that that's normal for Pokémon, really."
"That's cool, I'm Dawn. I've got amnesia." She was still smiling like a fool. Mandy showed a small sign of concern, then thought, 'If she's got amnesia, why isn't she worried about it? She must believe it will come back in time. Poor kid, at least she has something to believe in though. Most people don't anymore.'
"Well Dawn, now that the formalities are done with, lets figure out how to do this impossible task." Mandy smirked. It was as though she thought that the two of them could do it all on their own.
Grovyle smirked, 'There's more to these two than meets the eye. If Dawn had her memory, she might actually know this Chimchar. I'll have to ask Mandara about that later. She might know more than she's letting on.'
