Life here was good. All mobs who tried to destroy us perished. New citizens came everyday looking for shelter and safety here.
I appointed a head carpenter, a head scribe, a head counselor, and a head steward. I picked faithful villagers that I knew would help the United Lands in it's time of need.
Soon after the whole United Lands was finished, I set out back to my mining deposit place. I liked taking a walk sometimes.
I had taken the things from the chest and placed them in the storage area, but I had left the rest of the things there. It brought up found memories and also scary ones.
I started wondering constantly where Glefinnan was, and what he was doing. I might have cared for Glefinnan, for he was the only man that I met that had been like a father to me. Even though he might have never truily cared for me, I had truily cared for him.
As I reached the small shelter, felt a longing for more humans. I knew the villagers were fine, but they were not real humans. They were just creatures that Glefinnan created to this world.
After thinking in the mine, a good quiet place, I had an idea. I then went back to the United Lands, and called a meeting. When I told everyone about my idea, they weren't very please. Never the less, a couple of my court decided it was a good idea.
Soon I rode on a brilliant steed, the finest the said. I left my land though I vowed my return would be glorious. A younger wolf named Edwin came with me.
At first I couldn't trust him, but he asked me to give him a bone. As I did the wolf transformed! Hearts popped up from his head, a red collar appeared, and Edwin sat in a docile position.
I was shocked by his quick transformation, but not very understanding. Edwin explained how we were now bonded. It was then I took him as my companion.
We set out early in the morning, just as the mobs started burning. I suited up in diamond armor with my sword hanging on my leather belt. I felt invincible when I set out on the mission that led to my destruction.
Back then, I only felt a remainder of the hurt that Glefinnan inflicted on me. I still felt some hurt from his betrayal, but at the time I had other things to do.
Edwin and I traveled prepared for any mob. I brought some camping supplies for night time. Night time was a dangerous time, and being prepared might save your life.
I was still young and was arrogant. I thought nothing could surprise me. My arrogance mainly led to the great fall because I was not ready for surprises.
Glefinnan must've been angry because of my greatness. He was inactive from time to time, I have no doubt it was from doctor appointments.
My first night was spent making a small rest stop for the way back. When I finished I hung my flag up top and went to sleep.
The cabin has two beds, a fireplace, a crafting table, a chest, a touch, a furnace, and a small watchtower roof. Safety exit were also added to the house.
Outside I planted some wheat, melons, pumpkins, beetroot, potatoes, carrots, and surrounded the crops with a fence. An emergency water supply was hidden by the door.
I was safe for the first night. This boosted my confidence, maybe too much. Edwin and I had a good night's sleep.
After a quick breakfast of steak and bread, bread for me, steak for Edwin. We had a drink of water and then we were gone.
We rode till I could no longer see the hill where I built the cabin. We continued to move until we suddenly found a cave. Even from the outside I could see shiny minerals.
I was delighted! A good cave to claim for the United Lands was a good piece of land. I just need to find a way to conquer this cave.
I circled around once and only found that one entrance, which was a problem. I lead my horse over to have a drink as I inched closer. Edwin followed right behind me.
"Edwin, can you stay here to guard the entrance?" I asked the young dog. Edwin nodded his head, his tongue lolling out.
This puppy was full of courage and never ending loyalty. I nodded and walked into the cave.
I put torches on the right hand side so I could follow them back in case I got lost. I traveled deeper, mining ores as went.
No mobs had spawned yet, whew. I came to a two way path. I picked the right and kept on going.
I sat down after a while and drew a map. Maps are very useful when exploring. I had been working on a bigger map for a while now, and I made a smaller map of this cave.
When I finally found dead ends, I headed towards the surface, mapping everything. I smiled when I saw Edwin dozing peacefully.
"Edwin, wake up," I said gently. The little dog jumped up and barked, and I laughed.
We had captured yet another territory for the United Lands. This mission was a success so far.
