Um... I don't know how to say this, but... Over one hundred reviews already? Holy fudging Smosh-tastic super special awesome sauce! Thank you guys so freaking much! If it wasn't for you watchers, supporters, and those who just read, I wouldn't have the motivation to finish this! Y'all are amazing to be supportive and let me update to show what I can do! *Gives away Dance Central merchandise*

I've been on the edge of making Dance Central stories (even though I should be working on my Black Butler story too, but oh well!) so I made a oneshot called, "Say Something" and "Lightning and Feathers" which is a collaboration made by me, of course, and the awesome Agent Glitch! Be sure to check those out if you need something to read after this. :)

Now I shall do my replies here and then the chapter will be next~!

DCFan4ever: ^_^ You should know that Luce isn't the type of person to expect any type of romantic moment, but I guess Oblio wanted to express his feelings so that she wouldn't be worried about his jealousy of Kerith flirting with Luce. XD

HatsuneMikuLove: Why thanks! I have to do something for that chapter! XD

Alyssa: The Glitterati's done with their part, but DCI will still be in this. :) For the height, Harmonix hasn't created full profiles of the characters (except for the characters in the first DC), including Lima.

~Chapter Twenty-Four: Where's D-Coy?~

(~::...::~)(~::...::~)(~::...::~)(~::...::~)(~::...::~)(~::...::~)(~::...::~)

The Lightning crew hopped on the motorcycle and just as soon as Luce put on the helmet, Oblio rode off. The traffic seemed to have calmed down, so it would only take them five minutes to get back to DCI. Their hearts started to beat to the rhythm of the motorcycle, desperate to head back and avoid Dr. Tan. D-Coy had to sacrifice their chance to leave in order to save time for Luce and Oblio, and that was a big price to pay. Luce is glad that she and Oblio got their chance to escape, but the guilt can cloud her mind anytime.

Oblio never felt so much fear in his life. Twice today, he was nearly caught by his own father, and who knows what can happen if he stayed at the Glitterati's? Finally, at DCI headquarters, he shook off the possibilities and with Luce, they head into the elevator. They spotted Rasa and Lima, working on their usual stuff. There were a couple of cups for both of the DCI agents, which resulted in them working endlessly on something.

"Anything new?" Oblio asked the two. Lima turned around to see the Lightning crew but quickly noticed that D-Coy isn't with them.

"Where's Dare and MacCoy?" she asked. Luce trembled and cringed, frowning in the process.

"T-they..." she stuttered. The brunette sighed and decided to stop speaking. The bluenette placed a hand on her shoulder to keep her calm and decided to finish her sentence.

"When we were at Penthaüs, my father's blimp landed there, so Luce and I had to escape. As for the other two..." He took a deep breath and looked at them with determined eyes. "...they stayed in order to give us time to escape." Rasa stopped what he was doing and turned around to see Oblio remain calm, yet worried, and Luce, ashamed and scared.

"I hope it was for the sake of protecting you two and not taking risks. We've trained you four hard for this, and it can't be a waste of time. Understood?" Luce looked back up at the leader of DCI and nodded.

"Last time we checked, they still have their earpieces on, unlike us. Maybe you can check on how they're doing so we can get an updated status," the brunette said shyly. Lima typed something on the computer and the screen changed from their work to what Luce explained.

"You two need some rest. We'll contact you when necessary," Lima said with a hopeful smile on her face. Luce smiled back and left curtly, her crew partner following her. As they headed to the floor above the headquarters, Oblio followed Luce into her room and watched her sit down on her bed. He let himself do this because... he didn't want to leave her. After what happened, Oblio will make sure that she won't leave his sight.

Out of instinct, Luce wrapped her arms around him. He was surprised, of course, but he got down on his knees and embraced her back. The bluenette can hear her sigh against his ear. She feels so cold, so that may be the reason why she wanted a hug.

"Please don't leave me," Luce said in a whisper, even though her eyes are closed. The bluenette knew why she said that since D-Coy went to fight off Tan. Oblio sat down on the bed and looked at the half-asleep woman.

"Is there anything I can do?" he asked softly. The brunette opened her eyes and snuggled into him. She lowered her eyes and removed her glasses.

"Stay here... until the daylight comes." That's all he wanted to hear out of her. Oblio will do anything to make sure she's content and safe. With that, he wrapped an arm around her and laid her head on his shoulder. He helped move her legs in order for them to prevent her from falling asleep and making her feel uncomfortable.

If Oblio had a wish, he would wish that he would sleep next to her, but his protective nature wants him to make sure that Luce will get the rest that she needs. However, Oblio feared that if he would fall asleep, he would either have a nightmare about his father, or a dream about him and Luce being happy together, but in a way that might never be. If he could, he would take his love away to another place and move on with their new life, but what about DCI? What about Luce's dear friends like Angel and Emilia?

That brings to another question: What about dance? Dance is the reason why they met, became a dance crew, and formed a loving relationship. Those theories worried Oblio so much, thinking about it would make him go insane. Right now, he wants to focus on making sure Luce is resting well. When she was sick, Oblio thought that she looked so peaceful when she slept. It made his heart feel light and warm, which is the best for his heart to have.

Watching her sleep may look creepy, but if Oblio's making sure that she is safe and content, then it shouldn't matter. As much as he wanted her to have a good sleep, he can't help but thirst for a drink. Carefully laying her down on the bed, he quietly put her glasses on a table that stands a few feet away from the bed and went out of Luce's room, and head off into the dimly lighted hallway to find a vending machine.

Luce breathed in silently through her nose, slumber taking its course. When she's on her bed back at home, sleep would be an instant trip and relaxing as a massage. When it comes to other beds, she worries that she won't get enough sleep, at times like this and when she went on vacations with her parents and brother. In her slumber, she felt something different as she gripped the sheets with her nails. She noticed that Oblio wasn't there...

Luce clenched her eyes and with a gasp, woke up. When she did, she noticed correctly that Oblio was nowhere to be seen. Searching for her glasses, Luce encountered them on the coffee table and put them on. The brunette decided to check on Oblio but first checked her phone. It was only four hours ahead of midnight, being morning.

Why did she wake up early? Bad dream, or was she worried? Whatever the answer was, it won't have an effect. Luce's eyes slowly adjusted to the low light as she heads to the hallway. Out of nowhere, Oblio appeared from the door next to the elevator and noticed her walking towards him. The brunette noticed him and stopped while the bluenette walked a couple of steps more.

"Can't sleep?" the Asian asked her. She nodded, but something was bothering her, she had to tell him about it.

"Oblio... I'm worried about you and what you're putting yourself into." She breathed with ease before continuing. "How should I start this?" Luce said, her voice rising with tension. You're being hard on yourself, Oblio... "You have a new haircut to change your appearance, you're looking a bit paler, you're gaining dark bags and losing sleep because of your father..." She started to lower the intensity of her voice. "Earlier yesterday before we went to Hi-Def's venue, you told me that you weren't tired, but now, you almost crashed into me when you wanted a glass of water. It's you that needs the rest, not me." She can go on and on because of the week of checking the crews with him and D-Coy.

The blue-haired Asian frowned and made sure that he was listening to her feelings. All of it was true, and it was his fault for making himself reckless, but he did it for her. Yet, she wanted to continue to speak.

"We've almost been caught twice. The first time wasn't our fault, but the second, we were outside! He could have seen us and taken hold of us right away like snap, despite the fact that he was after the Glitterati originally." Her fists were shaking, she kept breathing when she didn't need to. Her eyes twitched from the urge to cry.

Oblio looked at his beloved as she struggles with her emotions. His heart is wretched with pity and empathy. He couldn't blame her. The blue-haired Asian knows how much it would hurt if one of them is captured and whatever God knows what Dr. Tan would do to one of them. If she wants to scold or yell at him, he'll be ready for it.

"You do have every right to be mad at me. It's natural, and it's your emotions. The least I can do is... apologize to you Luce, so I hope you can forgive me." Luce calmly exhaled to let her emotions go.

"I'm not mad; I'm just... very concerned about you."

Luce went to her room and gripped the doorknob, but her instincts tell that she shouldn't go. She sighed, letting go of the doorknob, and turned around, looking towards Oblio. She walked up to him and let her hand carefully caress his blue hair, moving his bangs that covered his left eye to see it. She lost interest a few moments later, placing her hand down. She smiled sadly.

"No matter what it takes, I'll stay by your side, until your father is brought to justice. I won't let him drag you into his plans for Tan Step. I'll take your place if he catches me so that you'll be safe." Oblio tensed when the word "catches" was spoken in her voice.

Despite his cool demeanor, his fear of Luce being kidnapped by his father is greater than anything. She's just a young woman who shares a common bond with him, since they share deceased mothers. He doesn't want to lose another woman he loves, the first being his mother. He stepped closer to Luce, placing a hand on her cheek. His head was leaning down to her level, and Luce was surprised.

Her heart started to beat, feeling nervous about what he was planning. Oblio's heart is beating as well, due to the fear of her possible rejection.

You're everything to me; don't you ever say that again, the bluenette thought before opening his mouth to speak. "Over my dead body, will he abduct you," he said coldly. His lips are a few inches away from hers, and his forehead finally touched hers. His voice came into a gentle whisper. "Luce, you are my angel from heaven." His voice shook, and it almost cracked with emotion. "If he takes you, then it would be a living hell for me."

He was out of breath just like that. The bluenette doesn't know what his father has in plan, but it doesn't sound good when Tan told Luce at the restaurant yesterday. Luce placed a hand on him where it stays on her cheek. She frowned and closed her eyes.

"I'm sorry-"

"Guys!" Lima said, hurrying to get out of the opening elevator, interrupting their conversation. The look on her face was of worry and shock at the same time, meaning something terrible has happened. "D-Coy has been captured by Dr. Tan!" Lightning crew froze and looked at the DCI assistant. Then they snapped out of it and went towards the brunette into the elevator.

"What happened?!" Luce asked Lima, following her along with Oblio to the main hall of the headquarters as soon as the elevator doors opened. Lima spotted Rasa and despite wearing heels, ran to him.

"Rasa!" Lima gasped out when she glimpsed what he was typing on the screen. "What's their status now?" Rasa sighed desperately and laid back on his rolling chair.

"They are indeed captured by Dr. Tan. The blimp they entered belongs to him, but that's not how they got caught. Dare told me that he said they had a successful run. After that, he brought his robots to a dance battle, and after a few minutes, we lost them for a moment. Before you left to tell them they've been captured, he said that he'll find what he's been looking for."

Oblio clenched his fist almost tightly, knowing what his father meant. "They're looking for us, aren't they?" Rasa sighed nervously. He nodded with worry, his green eyes darkening in fear. What he's about to ask Luce and Oblio can be risky, but it would be worth it in order to get the information as soon as possible.

"It's a pain in the ass to ask, but are you two in for trying to rescue them at the manor?"

~Chapter Twenty-Five coming soon...~

(~::...::~)(~::...::~)(~::...::~)(~::...::~)(~::...::~)(~::...::~)(~::...::~)

Yes, D-Coy is captured just like in DC3 and the website. No, this is not a repeat of the DC3 story. Next chapter, you'll find out what you need to know and all that jazz! :D I'm not going to spoil it obviously, so I'll do my best to update as soon as I can. :)

I'm wondering: does Rasa even know what he's doing? I know he's the leader, but with him asking the two to head to Tan Estate, it sounds bad, yet it's worth a shot. Let me know what you think of this chapter! ^_^
