Hello, my lovely readers. This chapter is for the girls and thank you to my reviewer who asked if Klaus would be a girl in Damon G.'s world. You gave me inspiration to make this a truly funny chapter. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it.
Chapter 17: Girls Just Want to Have Fun
"Kay, Bon Bon, are you ready to get your ass out here and show us that you're ready to make that Gilbert boy's heart hammer?" Elena shouted at the high schooler in her bathroom. Caroline was bouncing up and down on her bed singing "Girls just want to have fun. That's all they really want." Jumping up to dance with the girl, Elena and Caroline were laughing so hard they nearly fell off the bed when Bonnie came out in the outfit Elena had coaxed her into wearing for her date.
Hopping off the bed, Elena grinned widely. "You look hot, witch girl." Spinning Bonnie around, she forced the girl to look at herself in the full length mirror. Bonnie was blushing as they looked at a girl in leather pants, a loose purple halter top and five inch heels.
"I don't know, Elena. I'm not sure this is me." Bonnie told Elena biting her lip, staring at the girl in the mirror.
Elena rolled her eyes and spun Bonnie around to face her. "You see the cheerleader back there?" she pointed at Caroline, who was still bouncing. "She's wearing what I suggested." It had taken very little persuasion to get Caroline into the red corset top, black micro mini, and black ankle boots. "She looks hot. You look hot. And best of all I always look hot." Elena gestured to her tight black jeans, t-shirt which dipped dangerously low to expose as much cleavage as possible and four inch heels on her designer boots.
"Now," Elena turned Bonnie in the direction of the door. "Go. We will be with you the whole time." Walking down stairs, she found Damon and Stefan talking.
"Where are you three off to?" Damon asked with a smirk. Elena walked over to him and bent at the waist so he had a good look down her top.
"We're going out. I would ask if you'd like to go, but it's girl's night. No boys. You two have fun and don't drink anything I wouldn't." Grinning, she led the girls out to her Camaro and they made it to the Grill in record time.
Getting out, Elena linked arms with her girls and walked into the Grill. Bonnie spotted Jeremy by the pool table and began to make her way in that direction. Elena made her way to the bar where a blonde girl was sipping a whiskey. Smirking, Elena could tell the girl was a vampire but made no comment.
"I can't do it.," turning around, Elena looked at Bonnie, whose face was twisted in misery.
"Come on, Bonnie. I did not get you all dolled up for you to chicken out. Go talk to the boy." Elena ordered the girl, hopping onto a bar stool backward. She felt the other vampire's eyes on her now. But she chose to ignore her for the moment.
"But he's talking to some other boy." Bonnie whispered like she didn't want other people to hear her.
"Oh, come on, Bonnie. Just go talk to him." Caroline snapped, placing her hand on her hip. "You like him. He probably likes you. But you'll never know if you don't make a move. Now, go." She shooed Bonnie in the direction of the two boys playing pool.
Elena smirked at the cheerleader. Maybe there was more to the girl than she suspected. Shrugging, Elena turned on her stool to face the other vampire for a long second, looking her in the eye. "You want something to drink, Barbie?" she called over her shoulder.
"The name isn't Barbie. It's Caroline. And I can get my own." Caroline positioned herself between the two stools and waited for the bartender to make his way over to her.
The blonde vampire next to Caroline was smiling at her drink as she picked it up. "New in town?" Elena asked the vampire, fixing a gaze on her. The vampire turned to her slowly with a different kind of smile. This one was slow and full of what … malice … was Elena supposed to be scared? Oh, yes, she was shaking in her boots.
"Yes, I am." The blonde said, lowering her eyelids so that her long lashes almost closed, but not quite. "This is actually my first day back in Mystic Falls in a very long time."
"Vodka," Caroline told the bartender, who just stared at her.
"I. D." The bartender replied with his eyes narrowed.
Pouting, Caroline opened her mouth to change her order. "Fine. Just give me a co-"
Before Caroline could finish the other vampire leaned toward the bartender. "Hello, there Ronny, is it? The young lady said she wanted a vodka. So, I would suggest you get her her vodka. Oh, and keep them coming until she says no. Thank you." Leaning back, the vampire smiled as Ronny began to pour Caroline a shot.
"Thanks," Caroline said as she picked up the shot and knocked it back. "I have been having like the worst week ever."
"Well, why don't you tell me all about it?" The blonde vampire looked at Caroline in a way that made Elena smirk.
"This should be interesting," Elena muttered feeling the other vampire give her a look she figured would make most humans run in terror.
"My boyfriend just dumped me because he's like with someone else now or something," Caroline was saying as she downed her third shot. "I don't know what happened. Things seemed fine and then, BAM, they weren't." Caroline buried her face in her hands. "What is wrong with me?" she moaned.
"Nothing is wrong with you, love. He's just a silly boy. What you need is a man," The blonde vampire was saying while placing a hand on Caroline's back. Elena was beginning to laugh. "Something funny, sweetheart?"
Shaking her head, Elena just picked up another shot of Caroline's and downed it. "Nope. Not at all, love." Smirking, she watched the blonde's smile drop into a deep frown. Elena could sense a fight coming a mile away and she was ready. She was even looking forward to it.
She might not be BFFs with Miss Forbes at the moment but Elena was Goddamned if she was going to sit back idly while some predatory vampire came in, got her drunk and did who knows what to her. Climbing off the stool, the blonde vampire got up, too, and Caroline looked confused just as Bonnie appeared.
"Hey, thank you two for making me talk to Jeremy. He and his friend, Kol, are so funny. Oh, my God. I haven't had this much in like forever. So, they wanted to know if you wanted to join the game." Bonnie looked at Elena and Caroline.
Shaking her head, Elena was about to respond when the boy named Kol came up to the bar and grabbed one of Caroline's shots. "Hello, ladies. Thanks for the refresher." He said winking at Caroline. "And who might you be, darling?"
Caroline opened her mouth, when the blonde vampire leaned into Kol's personal space. "Not interested," she hissed at him. He looked surprised and then began to laugh. "Okay, Bekah. Sorry. I know you're possessive of your new friends. But there's no need to act like Nik. Now, is there?" Kol leaned back with his hands in the air and a wide grin on his face.
Turning to look at Elena, he began the flirting again. "Hello, there, lovely lady. I'm, Kol and who might you be?"
Elena held out her hand. "Elena Salvatore. And is this your sister?" She pointed at Rebekah. "Because I think she's been hitting on my friend, Care, here, who just got out of a relationship and is probably not looking to hook up with anyone tonight," She bit back a grin as Bekah's face turned scarlet and she started to move toward Elena, when Kol stepped in between them.
"Sorry, that's just Bekah. It seems like she's coming on to you because she's a strumpet and cannot stop flirting. Doesn't matter boy, girl, tree. But really she's harmless. Right, Bekah?"
"I will dagger you." Bekah hissed low enough the humans could not hear but Elena could.
'Hmm … dagger?' That was a new one on the threat list. Elena made a mental note to find out if it was British slang or something. "So, are we drinking or what?" She asked before, slapping her hand on the bar top. "Shots!" She yelled at the startled bartender. Hopping back onto her bar stool she grabbed shots and handed them to the others except for Jeremy. "None for you, little Gilbert. Maybe when you're older."
Jeremy rolled his eyes. "You're worse that Damon." Kol handed him a shot and Elena glowered at him.
"So, will you be enrolling at our high school? Because I really need another cheerleader. Most of my girls suck." Caroline was telling Bekah, who looked horrified. There was a smile frozen on the blonde vampire's face.
"Yes … that sounds … like something I would do …" Bekah then leaned over the bar to retrieve a bottle of something and began to pour herself shot after shot. Downing about twenty in quick succession she sucked in a deep breath and then turned to Caroline with a wider grin. "That sounds lovely. I can't wait to start." Her eyes were glassy and she still looked uncomfortable with the thought, but she was putting on a great show.
"Let's dance," Bekah shouted, grabbing Caroline by the hand and dragging her over to the dance floor. Elena got up and sauntered over to them. They began to dance together back to back, making every guy in the Grill turn to stare at them.
"Elena are you part of the cheer squad or whatever it is?" Bekah asked, turning to face her.
Elena smirked at her, moving closer to her. "No. Actually my little brother is on the football team. Me, I graduated two years ago but I swing by on occasion. Call me sentimental." Draping an arm around Bekah's neck, Elena smirked at her. "By the way, I just thought you should know my brother has a crush on Caroline. So, when you're around her he probably will be too."
Pulling away, Elena turned to find Kol behind her. "Care for a dance with someone of the opposite gender, darling?" Holding out a hand, Elena allowed Bekah's brother to pull her to him.
"So, how long do you two plan on being in town?" Elena asked Kol, never taking her eyes off Bekah and Caroline. Caroline was laughing at something the other blonde said.
"I have no idea. It really depends on what our older brothers, Nik and Lijah, want." Kol told her dancing more closely than was necessary with his hand right over the waist band of her low rise jeans.
"And where would these brothers of yours be tonight?" Elena asked, pressing her body closer to Kol's. He didn't seem to be too smart. And she figured that if he thought he would be getting something from their talk he would spill his guts.
"Oh, they're probably getting our new house settled," Kol said absently. Sliding his hand downward. Elena forced herself to grin rather than kick him when he grabbed her ass. "Maybe you can come by sometime. And I can give you a tour."
"That would be great," Elena replied huskily in his ear, forcing herself not to gag at the scent of his cologne.
"Good. It's a date then?" Kol retorted before his gaze shifted to Bekah. "I'm sorry. I think my sister wants to go home now." Elena tilted her head to see Caroline putting her phone away before hugging Bekah good-bye.
Elena waved to Kol as the siblings left and she gritted her teeth when Caroline walked over to her. "Give me your phone," she demanded, holding out her hand.
"Why?" Caroline asked, her eyebrows rising.
"Because I'm going to put my number in so we can do this again soon." Elena told her with as much cheer as she could muster without staking herself. Finding Bekah's number quickly, she memorized it and then punched in her own. "Good. Now, wasn't this a fun night?"
"Yeah," Caroline agreed as Elena looked for Bonnie, who was slow dancing with Jeremy. Well, at least one of them was getting something out of this night. Seeing how happy the boy looked, Elena felt herself smiling.
"Okay. It's time to separate the love birds so I can get you home at a decent time tonight." Elena walked over to separate the two dancing. This had been an eventful day. But all she wanted to know right now was who the hell Kol and Bekah really were.
At the Mikaelson Mansion:
"This has been an eventful night, brother." Kol sighed, contented as he and Klaus walked into the mansion. Walking in the Great room, Kol flopped onto one of the couches.
Klaus went to pour himself a drink as he pulled off a high heel and groaned. "I should have used your body," he moaned before kicking the other heel across the room.
"I'm sure Bekah feels the same way." Kol grinned with pleasure as Klaus sneered at him. "Why are you using Bekah's body anyway? Why not highjack Elijah's or Finn's?"
"All in good time, brother." Klaus replied, gulping down his drink before he unhooked the bra he was wearing and threw it into the fireplace. "Bloody thin."
Kol began to laugh hysterically. "Nik, if you think that is bad, think of what will happen when you have to put on one of those skimpy little cheerleading outfits. Oh, I must purchase a new camera." Sitting up, suddenly he had a thought. "Does this have something to do with the doppleganger being a boy? Are you going to seduce him, Nik?"
Klaus turned to Kol. "Anytime you want to join the others with a dagger through your heart, you might want make that suggestion again."
Shrugging, Kol got up to pour himself a drink. "Sorry. Please, adjust your thong and calm yourself. I could see that you were having a rather nice time with the boy's girlfriend out there on the dance floor."
"Caroline Forbes is no longer the girlfriend of Damon Gilbert," Klaus informed Kol with a grin.
"Oh, yes, and that makes you happy. Is it because you have taken a shining toward the little human girl?" Kol asked with glee at the scowl on his brother's face.
Klaus shook his head. "I care nothing for a mere child. I was simply pumping her for information as the Americans like to call it."
"Oh," Kol replied, leaning against the table on which the tumbler was sitting. "From where I was it looked like you want to pump her in an entirely different manner." He barely had time to duck when Klaus threw his tumbler toward Kol's head and it shattered.
Speeding across the room, Klaus grabbed Kol by the neck and lifted him off the floor. "Do not presume to speak to me in any manner you like, Kol. You are out of that blasted coffin because I chose for you to be. If you continue to plague me with you inane questions I will put you back down." Dropping Kol to the ground, Klaus made his way upstairs and into his room.
Closing the door firmly behind him, he walked over to his desk and picked up a new drawing. It made his heart ache as he looked at Caroline's smiling face. But she wasn't looking at him. She was looking at Damon Gilbert. Pressing a finger to the outline of Caroline's cheek, Klaus felt a tear run down his own cheek. Soon he would not be so very alone. He would break the curse, create a new family and he would have the lovely girl by his side. All he needed was a little time to get things organized and things would fall into place.
