Soon.

That was the simple letter that Sirius had received.

There was no dear Sirius or from… and James and Sirius had spent an hour checking for secret writing until Remus had come over and taken pity on them by telling them shortly that it was Gracie's handwriting.

James and Sirius felt a for bit stupid after that.

Of course, Sirius immediately got over excited about these turn of events and all he could ever talk about for large periods of time was when Gracie was going to come back.

James came up with a brilliant idea himself a couple of days ago with no help from Remus and told Sirius he was to write all of his thoughts and feelings on a piece of parchment as he was getting annoying and they hadn't learnt the silencing charm yet. This proved to be a great idea.

Sirius had written 7 pages to James amusement already.

'I can't wait for Gracie to come back! Can you?' Sirius asked excitedly at breakfast one day.

'Sirius,' James said sternly, eyeing him. 'Where's your parchment to write on. I thought we went over this?'

'It's in the dormitory James. I forgot it. And yes we did go over it.' Sirius then mumbled something.

'What was that?'

'Nothing.' Sirius replied innocently.

James narrowed his eyes at him.

'Yes it is. You mumbled something.'

'He said something about you becoming more like Remus every single day.' Frank interrupted.

'FRANK!'

'I'm not! That is so not true Sirius!' James protested.

He folded his arms grumpily.

'Go and get your piece of parchment from upstairs. Now.'

'SEE?' Sirius pointed an accusing finger at him.

'Not really.'

'Wow, Gracie needs to back soon to get you sorted out.' Sirius muttered then perked up. 'Speaking of-'

James faced palmed.

'Go and get that parchment now Sirius.'

Sirius frowned and stood up, muttering to himself.

'HEY DUMBLES GET THE HELL OUTTA MA SEAT!'

James froze.

Wait… only one person would talk like that to that way to the Headmaster and only one person sounded like that.

Praying he was right, James turned to face the entrance of the Great Hall looking for the source of the speaker along with everybody else.

There she stood. She looked just as she used to, red hair in a messy bun, blue eyes sparkling with mischief, a smile spread out across her face as usual.

James's face broke out into a huge grin.

'GRACIE!' Sirius yelled starting to run towards her.

James was the next to jump up followed by Remus, Frank, the Prewett twins and the other girls in there year in Gryffindor along with Emmeline and Hestia.

Gracie spread out her arms for a hug and Sirius crashed into her, wrapping his arms around her tightly and making both of them crash to the floor because of the force.

James jumped out to both of them making the 2 of them groan but he didn't care and grabbed one of Gracie's arms and held onto it tightly.

Everyone else then decided to pile on and let James just say, it wasn't a very pleasant experience.

He was pretty sure one of the ribs had broken.

He felt bad for Gracie who was at the bottom of the pile and had been in hospital recently.

Luckily, they were only that way for a few minutes until everyone started to stand up.

Gracie of course stood up last as she was at the bottom.

Sirius of course nearly knocked her over again until she gave him a look to let her go.

'Sorry.' He said quietly.

She gave him an unreadable look and said, 'No need to be sorry.'

And then, and THEN,

Gracie grabbed hold of Sirius's hand.

James's mouth fell opened and so did Sirius's.

Remus, the only other person that saw, just smirked and said, 'Absence makes the heart grow fonder.'

James chuckled and Remus just shrugged.

'It's true.'

'Now, now, please get back to your seats!' Professor McGonagall said, interrupting the love-fest and all of their reuniting moment with Gracie.

'Excuse me Minerva but since when can you order one of the Head teachers of Hogwarts around?'

'Miss Prewett-' McGonagall started.

'That's Professor Prewett actually. Now if you don't mind, I'm going to speak to my replacement.'

She turned swiftly away from McGonagall and strolled up towards the teachers table at the opposite end of the hall, dragging Sirius along after her.

'How may I help you Miss Prewett?'

Gracie rolled her eyes at Professor Dumbledore.

'Again it's Professor Prewett and he's,' she pointed at Sirius. 'Is Professor Black so don't start calling him Mr Black. Okay?'

Professor Dumbledore nodded.

'Good. Now that that is out of the way. Would you please move as I believe you are sitting in mine and Professor Black seat?'

Well at these Gracie had some manners. Remus would be proud.

'And what if I don't want to?' Professor Dumbledore asked, leaning forwards with his eyebrows raised.

Gracie also raised her eyebrows.

'Then I will have no choice but to use force.'

Gracie pulled out her wand earning a disbelieving look from just about EVERYONE IN THE WORLD.

Professor Dumbledore raised his hands in surrender and stood up and walked over to the Gryffindor table just as he did at the start of the year.

Gracie looked pretty please with herself that Dumbledore wouldn't even fight her so in her mind that must mean he was 'scared' of hero.

James knew he would have to listen to her bragging later.

Gracie and Sirius settled down on Dumbledore's previous seat.

'Oh how I missed this chair.' Sirius sighed, high-fiving Gracie.

'James aren't you going to take your seat as deputy now?' Sirius asked.

'I shall do that now Professor Black.' James grinned and walked over and sat in McGonagall's previously occupied chair.

Damn. It was comfy. It had cushions and everything! They had wooden benches! Stupid Professors thinking there more important…

'Now, I know you all missed me-' Gracie said to cheers and boos.

Of course we all know where the boos were coming from…

'PRINCESS PREWETT!'

'GO HOME!'

'BOO!'

'I'M SORRY BUT WHO IN THE FUCK INVITED YOU BACK INTO THIS SCHOOL?'

The Slytherins carried on booing.

'WE NEVER LEFT!'

'Jeez, now we need to get these guys again.' Sirius shook his head.

'Certainly.'

Gracie stood up and called for silence.

'I suggest we have a vote. All those favouring the Slytherins staying, raise your hand.'

The Slytherins all raised their hands as one along with a few Hufflepuffs, a few Ravenclaws, one lone Gryffindor (Lily) and a majority of the teachers.

'And those in favour of kicking their sorry asses of sliminess out of this school?'

James raised his hand. Sirius raised his hand. Gracie raised her hands. Everyone in Gryffindor raised their hand (except for Lily) and nearly all of the Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws raised their hands.

'Majority have voted for kicking you sad excuses of human beings out of this school my slimy Slytherin enemies.'

Everyone cheered.

'Quiet down! Quiet down!' Sirius demanded with a huge grin on his face.

Gracie and Sirius turned to look at each other and nodded.

'As we are so… kind and generous, we have decided to allow the Slytherins one final day of classes at Hogwarts.' Sirius said.

'However, the rest of the school i.e. Gryffindor, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw students, are getting today off to do whatever they want in celebration of our return!'

Cheers filled the air of the Great Hall.

'You are dismissed!'

Everyone ran out of the Great Hall as the bell went. Teachers went to their classrooms and even the Slytherins angrily trudged to their lessons.

The rest of the school either went back to their common rooms or went outside as it was a very nice day with the sun shining.

'Well that was entertaining.' James said, turning to face his 2 friends.

Sirius nodded in agreement and Gracie laughed.

'I'm back bitches!'

A/N: Yeah, so hope you liked it! Happy New Year again guys and sorry if you find the swearing in this chapter offensive… but Gracie's back! YAY!
