Mass Effect Shepard Rises.
Shepard met up with his team and motioned for them to form a circle "Ok here's the plan we are leaving for peak 15 any guards in the way we knock out do not kill them, understood?" he looked at each person's nod "Good Tali lead us to a vehicle." He followed behind her until she came to a stop in a corridor with single guard, behind her he could see several boxes in neat piles and a number off Mako's.
"Sir you cannot be here please leave…"
He quickly steps forward and in one quick motion smacks his fist to the side of her head knocking her out, he catches the guard as she falls and carefully places her on the floor, he steps over her and looks at the interface flashing red "Tali can you hack it?" he steps aside as Tali comes forward and opens her new Omni-tool.
"I can but it will take me a few minutes."
He nods "Ok step back Wrex help me out here." They both grip the doors and Wrex using his natural Krogan muscle and him using his biotic's and cybernetic muscles grip the door and force it open after a few moments with a grunt, no sooner as the door opens a shot fires and he feels as a bullet tears into his flesh, he grunts and dives for cover as his team rush into the room he pulls out his sniper rifle and takes aim at a Geth hopper on the wall staring at him like only a machine could and shoots in between the flash light head and smiles as it drops to the floor with a thud.
He lowers his sniper rifle and looks at his chest seeing blood run over the front of his armour "Shepard" he looks up and watches as Tali runs over and looks over his wound with wide eyes "We need to remove the bullet." He nods and turns to the door hearing shouting growing louder and louder "Ok get into the Mako Kaidan you drive while Tali sorts me out move it people." He moves with his team towards the Mako when a voice sounds out.
"Stay where you are SPECTRE."
He looks over his shoulder and sees the Blonde guard from the docking bay a sneer on her face.
"Do you know what we do to cop killers on my world?" she asked.
"Ah Sargent Stirling a pleasure." He says with a smile as he places his hands behind his back and they start to glow with biotic power "I'm afraid I cannot do that SPECTRE business" he remembers what Liara said that if you throw a warp field at a singularity that the two forces with explode, so remembering his lesson earlier with Liara he prepares to throw a singularity.
"I don't care about that now you die."
Before she can reach for her gun he throws a singularity and watches as Starling screams as she's lifted off her feet and starts to slowly get crushed in the singularity, he slowly walks towards the Mako but spins around and throws a warp towards Starling and watches as the two biotic forces meet and explode "Come on let's get going."
As the Mako exited the building and into the snow he carefully pulled off his chest armour and lays it on the floor and sits back as Tali sits in front of him with a pair of silver tweezers "Ok Shepard this might hurt, next time remember to have your shields switched on." He nods and grits his teeth as Tali pushes the tweezers into the bullet hole and grips the bullet and groans as she tugs it out and drops it to the floor, he relaxes as he feels a cold sensation on his chest and looks down to see Tali carefully applying Medi-gel "Thanks" he watches her nod and moves to sit beside him, he bends down and places his chest armour back on with a click and activates his shields.
The drive to peak 15 was slow as the Mako kept sliding on the snow so far resistance had been low a few Geth had tried to slow them down but between Kaidan driving and Garrus's shooting skills they were taken care of easily, Shepard looked around as the few people sitting inside the Mako were either looking relaxed or in Wrex's case catching some shut eye, he turns to Liara and notices that she has lost the normal sparkle in her eyes and she is just staring at the metal floor in thought "Hey Liara you okay?" he watches as she slowly looks from the floor to him and a sad smile forms on her face.
"I won't lie Shepard I am terrified, what has my mother become and why is she willingly working for Saren." He watches her sigh "so many questions but little answers" he nods and leans forward "Please when the time come's let me talk to her."
He nods "Ok Liara we can try talking but if things go wrong and she attacks you or any member of the team I'm afraid we will have to engage her maybe even kill her." He watches as a lone tear runs down Liara's face and she quickly wipes it away.
"Ok Shepard I understand."
He nods and leans back again "Kaidan how far to peak 15?" he turns slightly and watches a Kaidan looks down at his terminal.
"If we can keep current pace we should be there within the hour commander."
He nods and places his hand on Tali's thigh and gives it a little squeeze, he watches as she opens her Omni-tool and quickly opens windows and presses the holographic keys until her soft voice sounds inside his helmeted head.
"Hey Shepard."
He looks over at her "Hey Tali so our own little com channel eh." He says with a laugh.
"Yeah us Quarian's do it with erm partners and families, if you don't like it I can close the channel."
He quickly grabs her hand as it raises to her Omni-tool again and intertwines her three fingers with his five fingers "No it's ok, I like we can talk without having the rest of the team over hearing." He looks down at their hands it feels a little weird but at the same time really right.
"What are you thinking about John?"
He closes his eyes for a minute to gather his thoughts "me and you it feels right, I can't explain it when we took each other's hands it felt weird but right you know."
"Yeah I know what you mean."
He goes to speak when a loud fart echoes inside the small space and Wrex laughs "sorry." He looks around the room seeing Liara and Garrus cover their faces.
"Damn Wrex that's nasty what the hell died in your ass." Garrus says as he faces his talons in front of his face trying to get rid of the smell.
"Ha-ha oh you know me Turian could be a number of things."
Shepard bursts out laughing "See Garrus this is why you should wear a helmet, if the Geth don't get you Wrex's ass will." A jolt of pain shoots through his chest taking his breath away as he steadies his breathing.
"Yeah yeah I will remember that advice Shepard" Garrus says after a cough.
He carefully moves forward and pushes open the hatch to let the freezing cold air inside the Mako "their you big baby." He closes the hatch again and sits back down.
