"You want to have a baby?" Zac asked surprised.

"Yes if you want to."

Zac let out a relieved sigh. "For a minute there I thought you were breaking up with me or something."

"No, of course not. I wanna have a long future with you. And I want to know how you feel about trying to have a baby."

"What brought this on? We never talked about this before."

"I see how happy my mom and dad are now that my mom is pregnant. I want to experience that too, I want to experience that with you. At least if you want to."

"I want to in the future, I think. I never really thought about it. I don't know if it's good for us to have one now already. We've just moved in together. I just wanna enjoy time with you first before we start a family," Zac told her as he looked at her. He took a deep breath before speaking again. "I do wanna have a baby with you in the future and if it were to happen in the short future I would be happy but I think it's best if we wait a while. But I do want to have a baby with you in the future."

"You would?" Marisa asked with a smile.

"Yes I would. I love you very much and I want to be with your for a long time and I hope there will be a baby in our future, but right now I think it's too soon. We're still young, we still have time to get a baby."

"I love you too. Yes, maybe you're right about it. I just wondered how you felt about it and if you wanted to. I want to."

"Well in that case we maybe should practice a little," Zac replied in a cheeky tone.

Zac kissed her as he pushed her down on the couch. Marisa moved her arms around his neck and pulled him closer. She loved this man so much. She was so happy with him and Zac was probably right. It probably would be better to wait a while before they were going to have a baby. But truth be told she wanted to try and have one now. She saw how happy it made her parents and she wanted that too. She would see when it happened. If it happened now she would be happy but also if it happened in a year or so. She was still on birth control so she was planning on making an appointment with her doctor to ask if it was possible to stop taking them.

Zac picked her up and carried her to the bedroom. She always loved it when Zac picked her up in his arms. All kissing he walked them to their bedroom. Zac gently put her down on the bed.

Clothes were quickly taken off and tossed on the floor. Zac worked her body before he pushed himself inside of her. Whenever they made love it felt so good to both of them. They fit perfectly together. Marisa turned them around as she felt close. She moved in a way that was so good to both of them. Zac sat up and kissed her. This position felt so good. Their sensitive parts were rubbing against each other.

Zac turned them around and finished them. Out of breath but very content they collapsed down next to each other. As they were catching their breaths Zac thought about what it would be like if they made love to try to have a baby. Would that change anything? What would it be like if Marisa actually got pregnant? How would it be when they would have a baby?

He shook off the thoughts. There was time later to worry about that. She wasn't even pregnant yet.

Marisa lay her head down on Zac's chest and he moved his arms around her. They fell asleep soon.

….

The next morning Callen and Sara walked into the bullpen. Marisa was the only one there. She immediately noticed the ring on Sara's finger.

"Oh my god mom! You're getting married?" Marisa spoke with excitement.

"Yes, we are," Sara replied looking at her ring.

"I'm so happy for you and dad," Marisa spoke as he gave both her parents a hug.

"What's all this happiness about?" Deeks asked as the others walked into the bullpen.

"Sara and I are getting married," Callen told them with a smile.

"Congratulations," Kensi told the pair and gave them a hug.

"Congrats G," Sam told his partner.

Everyone congratulated them before they went to work.

Marisa was so happy for her parents. They seemed so happy together. Sara was really glowing at the moment. Marisa saw how much it had changed her dad when Sara walked back into his life.

…..

"What did the doctor say?" Zac asked Marisa when she came home from work.

"She said I could stop whenever I want and then about 2 weeks later I should be able to get pregnant. She did say that there is a change of miscarriage if I get pregnant really fast after stopping. The best is to wait for about a month or 2 or 3 to get pregnant."

"Ah okay, that's good."

Marisa sat down on the couch next to Zac.

"Are you sure you want to have a baby? I mean it's something really big," Zac spoke.

"I would love to have one with you. I know it's soon after we've moved in together but this feels right and look and my mom and dad, they were only back together shortly before my mom got pregnant."

"I know. I just want to make sure we've thought this through. It's a big choice."

"I know it is. But I've thought it through. I want one. I want one with you. Are you sure this is what you want too?"

"Mari," Zac started as he grabbed her hand. "I love you more than anything and I'm very happy with you. I would be so happy if we were to have a baby, whenever that will happen. I would be happy to become a daddy to our baby in the future."

Marisa smiled at him and kissed him.

"I love you so much and I know you will be a wonderful daddy when the time comes."

"And you will be a wonderful mommy. But I think right now I just too soon. I think it would be better in a year or so."

"Yes, maybe you're right. I just wanted to know your opinion on this. But like you said, we're still young. We can wait for a while."

"Yes I think that's best. But if it were to happen sooner I would be happy too. But right now I just want it to be you and me. I wanna enjoy what we have with just the two of us."

"Yes, I agree."

….

Sara was now 22 weeks pregnant. She had an appointment today to find out the results of her 20 weeks appointment. Sara and Callen were both relieved to hear that everything was fine with Sara and the baby and the baby wasn't suffering from anything. They made a new appointment for over 3 weeks before they went to the office.

Callen felt better again but he wasn't cleared for field work yet. He had an appointment next week with his doctor.

Just as they walked into the bullpen Eric whistled them upstairs.

"What do we have Eric?" Callen asked.

"This morning SEC-NAV received Intel about a possible terrorist threat to LA. This organization posted a message on the internet saying that they were gonna blow up LA," Eric informed them.

"SEC-NAV wants us to find them and find out what they are planning to blow up," Hetty told the group.

"They already set off a small bomb this morning at a federal building but no one was injured and one at a public park in central LA, no injuries as well," Nell added.

"Ms. Blye, Mr. Deeks, go to the park. Check the scene there," Hetty spoke and Kensi and Deeks left. "Mr. Hanna, Ms. Gonzalez, go to the federal building." Sam and Marisa left. "Mr. Callen, Ms. Gonzalez, work with Eric and Nell, see what you can find out about this terrorist organization."

Callen and Sara stayed upstairs as Hetty walked out of ops. Callen wanted to go out into the field but he knew Hetty would stop him if he tried. They sat behind the computer and started searching for anything about the organization.

An hour later Kensi, Deeks, Sam and Marisa were back at the office. They hadn't learned anything. Callen and Sara were still busy with Eric and Nell to find something that would give them a lead on this case.

They had to work fast. There was a new massage that said the bombing would take place at 7pm. Eric and Nell did their best to find out the location it was going down. There were several events happening at 7pm in LA that evening. They narrowed it down to two events. Kensi and Deeks took one and Sam and Marisa took the other. Callen desperately wanted to go out in the field with them but Hetty made sure he stayed in the office. He and Sara waited anxiously in OPS to hear something from either duo.

Sam and Marisa looked around at their location. They looked at the people arriving to see if they saw someone familiar. Marisa was higher up and had a sniper rifle in her hands. She scanned through the crowd.

"I've got him Marisa," Sam's voice sounded through the com. "Male, grey jacket, bald."

"I've got him," Marisa spoke when he had him in her sights through the scope.

She followed him to his place. Sam walked up to him and was planning to defuse the bomb.

"He's got a dead man switch," Sam spoke.

"Get the switch. I'll shoot him."

"On three. 1, 2, 3."

Sam took the switch out of his hand and Marisa shot him. There was panic. People started running everywhere as they heard the shot.

"Damn it. He hit the switch before I could grab him. I can't defuse the bomb alone," Sam spoke.

"I'm coming your way."

Marisa walked over to Sam as fast as she could. Marisa held the hand that had the switch as Sam defused the bomb.

"Uhm Sam, we have a problem," Eric spoke through the com. "There's a second bomber. They just posted another message."

"Is he here as well?"

"Scanning through the footage."

Sam and Marisa looked around. Marisa spotted him on the other side of the hall.

"Sam, I've got him," Marisa responded as she ran his way.

He stood where he was as Marisa approached him and aimed her SIG at him.

"Drop the switch or I will kill you!"

"If you shoot me the trigger will detonate and will set off several bombs placed around the hall."

"Drop it and give yourself up if you want to get out of here alive!"

"Allah has given me the order to set of this bomb I don't care if I live or die."

Sam had come too and kept his gun at him too.

"Drop it! Now!" Sam yelled.

"Allahoe akbar!" The man shouted and he detonated the bombs.

Sam and Marisa ran out as fast as they could to get out of the building. The building was blowing up around them. The blast flew them through the air.

In OPS they were watching as the building exploded. Callen and Sara held their breaths and hoped Marisa would be out of there in time. Sara grabbed Callen's hand tightly.

"Sam, Marisa," Callen called into the com. "Are you okay?" There was no answer. "Sam, Marisa."

They looked at the screen for any movement but there was nothing. Callen was out of the door with Sara behind him. Callen knew he wouldn't be able to stop Sara from going so he wasn't even going to try. Together they drove to the address where Sam and Marisa were. When they arrived there the place was crawling with firemen and paramedics. Callen and Sara looked around for any sign of Marisa or Sam. Callen walked over to the chief firemen.

"Excuse me, I'm Agent Callen, NCIS," Callen told him as he showed him his badge. "Two agents were at the scene here. Can you tell us what happened to them?" Callen spoke as he showed a picture of Marisa and of Sam.

"I haven't seen them yet, but my men are still going through the building. Are you sure they were still inside?"

"There were inside just before the explosion. We don't know if they made it out alive."

"If they are still inside we will find them. But you could check with the paramedics, maybe they have seen them."

Callen walked over to the paramedics and asked the woman in charge if she had seen Marisa or Sam. She hadn't seen them either. Callen's heart sank to the ground as he realized Marisa and Sam must still be inside. He walked back to Sara.

"And? Are they out?"

"Neither the firemen or the paramedics have seen them so my guess is that they are still inside the building."

"Oh god," Sara spoke as she started crying.

"Hey, it'll be alright," Callen told her as he pulled her in for a hug. "I'm sure they are alright."

Callen and Sara waited anxiously to get any sign of Marisa or Sam. Sara was trying to remain as calm as possible for her and the baby's sake. About 20 minutes later they saw a fireman coming out, he was carrying Marisa and Sam was walking shortly behind her.

Callen and Sara ran up to them.

"Marisa, are you okay?" Sara spoke but Marisa was unconscious.

"Are you okay Sam?" Callen asked.

"I'm good. Worry about Marisa."

Callen and Sara watched as the paramedics worked on Marisa. They loaded her in the ambulance.

"Where are you taking her?" Callen asked.

"Pacific Beach Medical."

Sam got in the ambulance as well so he could be looked after at the hospital. Callen and Sara went back to the car and drove to the hospital. On the ride there Callen called Hetty.

"Any news Mr. Callen?"

"Sam and Marisa were inside. Marisa is in pretty bad shape, Sam seemed to be okay. We're going to the hospital now."

"Keep me updated."

"Will do Hetty," Callen told her and he disconnected the call.

They sat in the waiting room waiting for any news about Marisa and Sam. 20 minutes later Sam joined them. He was okay. He only had some cuts and bruises.

"Any word on Marisa?" Sam asked as he sat down next to his partner.

"No nothing yet."

"Don't worry, G. Marisa is strong, she'll pull through."

Callen called Zac to let him know what happened. Zac looked worried at his phone when he saw it was Marisa's dad. He immediately worried that something had happened to Marisa.

"Hey Callen," Zac replied as he picked up the phone.

"Hey Zac, Marisa has been in an accident. She's in the hospital."

"What happened?" Zac asked worried.

"She was in a building and it exploded."

"How is she?"

"I'm not sure. She's still in with the doctor."

"Which hospital are you at?"

"Pacific Beach Medical."

"I'm on my way."

By the time Zac arrived they still hadn't learned anything new about Marisa. About an hour later Marisa's doctor came out.

"Family of Marisa Mathews," the doctor called.

Callen, Sara and Zac immediately stood up followed by Sam.

"How is she?" Sara asked.

"She had some internal bleedings but we managed to repair them. She has a few broken ribs and a bruised wrist and ankle. She had a head wound but there was no swelling in her brain. We won't know the extent of her injuries until she wakes up.

"Can we see her?" Callen asked.

"Sure, right this way."

They walked to the room. Sara stopped in the doorway when she saw Marisa lying there. She lay motionless on the bed and was hooked up to different machines. Sara and Callen looked at her. She looked pale and her body was covered with cuts and bruises. Zac looked at her and couldn't believe that his girlfriend was lying there. He didn't want to lose her. They took a deep sigh before they stepped into the room.

Zac walked up to her and grabbed her hand.

"Mari, please wake up. I need you," Zac told her and gave her a soft kiss on her head.

Sara turned to Callen who wrapped his arms around her. Sara sobbed into his shirt.

"It's okay Sara. She'll be okay. She's strong. She'll be okay."

"I hope so," Sara sobbed.

"When will she wake up?" Callen asked the doctor.

"It's hard to say. It could be in an hour, in a couple hours or a few days. Don't worry, she's in good hands here."

The doctor left and Callen and Sara sat on the other side of the bed. Sara grabbed Marisa's hand.

"Please wake up Marisa."

They sat there for hours but there was no change.

"How is she Mr. Callen?" Hetty's voice sounded.

Callen turned around and saw Hetty standing in the doorway.

"It's hard to see. We have to wait till she wakes up."

"She's strong Mr. Callen, she'll pull through."

"I hope so."

Hetty put a reassuring hand on Sara's shoulder before she left.

By 6pm Callen went to get them some dinner.

By 10pm Marisa still hadn't woken up.

"Come on honey, we should get some rest," Callen told Sara.

"No, I need to be here when she wakes up."

"You need to rest Sara. This isn't good for you or the baby."

"I'll stay with her and call you the minute there's a change," Zac told them.

"Okay."

Both Sara and Callen gave Marisa a soft kiss on her head and went home. Sara crawled close to Callen when they were in bed. Callen wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close.

"She'll be alright honey."

"I hope so. Why did this have to happen?" Sara sobbed.

"I don't know honey. I don't know."

Callen held her as Sara cried and rubbed her back. After a while she calmed down and they fell asleep.

Zac sat next to the bed praying that Marisa would be alright. He couldn't lose her. He lay his head down next to her hand on the bed.

The next morning Zac woke up and he looked at Marisa. She was still sleeping. He stepped out for a minute to go to the bathroom and get himself some breakfast.

When he came back into the room he was shocked by what he saw.
