A/N: We're almost at the end of this fanfic. I think maybe 1 or 2 chapters more. But don't worry. I'll do a sequel.
Marisa stopped the car as fast as she could and got out of the car. She could see the car going under.
"Call 911," Marisa told Zac as she removed her shoes.
"What are you doing Mari? You're not jumping in there after him are you?"
"Yes I am. Don't worry, the water is not that deep.""
The bridge wasn't high above the water so Marisa jumped in from the bridge. Zac dialed 911 as he looked after her. She was definitely a bit crazy.
The water was not that deep and Marisa found the car pretty soon. Luckily the driver had the window open so Marisa could open up the car door easily and pulled him out. She held his head as she swam up with him. Everyone who had stopped to watch erupted in applause as Marisa came up with him. Zac was relieved to see Marisa again. The fire department and ambulance had just arrived. Marisa swam to the firemen who just gotten into the water. They secured him and brought him to shore. They paramedics took him over from them.
"Are you okay Miss?" One of the firemen asked.
"Yeah I'm fine."
"Alright, but next time please wait for us to get here."
"I probably saved that guy's life."
"Still, you could have been hurt yourself."
"I'm a Federal Agent, I know what I was doing."
"I much appreciate it but it would be safer to wait for us."
"I'll try to remember that for next time, next time I'll just let him drown," Marisa replied and she walked off."
"Are you okay Mari?" Zac asked when she was with him again.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"That was pretty awesome, stupid, but awesome."
"Excuse me, LAPD, can I ask you some questions?" An LAPD officer asked.
"Yeah sure," Marisa replied.
"What happened here?"
"We were driving on the bridge and all of a sudden that guy came speeding from the other way and he was swirling all over the road, probably drunk. I was barely able to avoid him and he crashed in the water."
"Alright, thank you."
The officer left and Marisa opened the trunk of her car. She pulled a towel out and some fresh clothes. She got in the backseat and changed her clothes.
"You ready to go home Zac?" Marisa asked once she was done.
"Yeah I am," Zac replied astonished. Marisa acted like nothing had happened.
"That venue was so beautiful," Marisa spoke as they were in the car.
"Yes it was. I'm so happy to get married to you."
"Me too. I can't wait."
The driver of the other car was going to be fine. He was arrested for DUI.
…..
Just before going to bed Sara stopped by the baby's room. In just a few weeks there would be a baby asleep here in the crib.
"Hey honey, what are you doing here?" Callen asked as he hugged her from behind.
"Just trying to picture a little baby in here."
"Yeah just a few more weeks," Callen replied as he rubbed her stomach.
"Yeah I know. I can't wait to finally meet our little baby."
"Me neither. I wonder what we're having."
"Me too. But this time I think it's gonna be a boy."
"How do you know?"
"I don't know. I just have a feeling, but I could be wrong. Just as long as the baby is healthy it doesn't matter either way."
"Yeah that's the most important thing."
Callen turned her in his arms and kissed her stomach.
"Daddy loves you and mommy so much."
Sara loved it when Callen spoke to her stomach. Sara pulled him up to her and kissed him deeply.
"I love you Gabi."
"I love you too Sara."
They walked to the bedroom and got in bed. Sara rested her stomach on her pregnancy pillow and Callen crawled up behind her and placed him arm around her and rested his hand on her stomach. Lately they mostly lay like this since it was the most comfortable position for Sara.
"Goodnight honey," Callen told her and gave her a kiss.
"Goodnight honey."
Sara was fast asleep. Callen lay awake for a while. He couldn't believe how his life had turned out since Sara had walked back into it. He was so glad they could have another change. She was the only woman he ever really loved. He was so happy with her and he loved that they were having another baby. Just in a few weeks from now he would have a new little baby. He fell asleep and dreamed about the new baby.
Sara woke up early the next morning since the baby was using her bladder as a trampoline. She looked next to her and saw that Callen was still sleeping. Quietly she got out of the bed and headed for the bathroom. When she came back into the bedroom Callen was awake.
"Hey baby," Callen greeted her.
"Hey babe, I hope I didn't wake you."
"It's okay. You're up early."
"Yeah, the baby thinks it's fun to use my bladder as a trampoline," Sara replied as he got back in bed.
"Stop using mommy as a trampoline, when you're old enough we'll get you your own trampoline," Callen spoke to her stomach with a smile.
A smile appeared on Sara's face as well. Callen trailed kisses over her stomach and moved his hand. The baby noticed Callen's touch and Callen felt the baby kicking against his hand.
"The baby likes you already it seems," Sara told him.
"Of course it does, I'm the father."
"Yes you are honey," Sara told him with a smile. "And I love you so much."
"I love you more," Callen told her and kissed her.
Callen pulled back from the kiss but Sara pulled him back to her and kissed him deeply. Callen felt what Sara's intentions were. Callen wanted to since they hadn't made love in a while.
"Are you sure you wanna do this honey?" Callen asked just to be sure.
"Yes, I know we haven't done it in a while cus of the pregnancy but I want you now."
Callen didn't have to be told twice. He kissed her deeply and started removing her pajama. Callen wasted no time in getting them in the mood. Once they were there Callen turned Sara around on her side and he got behind her. This was the easiest way to have sex since Sara had started showing.
Callen was just so good every time they made love. Since she had gotten pregnant it only had gotten better. Callen didn't have to do much for her to start quivering.
Callen lay on his back on the bed when they were done. Sara lay in his arms and her stomach rested on his stomach.
"Thank you G, that was really good."
"You're welcome honey."
They stayed in bed for a little longer before going out.
…
Sara had just 2 more weeks left before her maternity leave. Everything was ready at home for the baby's arrival. They had already picked out names as well, one for a boy and one for a girl.
"So, you're excited about the new baby?" Kensi asked Sara as they were sitting in the bullpen. Sam, Callen and Marisa were in the gym and Deeks wasn't here yet.
"Yeah we are. Gabi is so looking forward to meeting this baby. He's glad he's around now since he wasn't there with Marisa."
"Yeah, he seems really excited."
"He is and he's really sweet to me as well."
"That's good. I'm happy for you two. It's nice to see Callen so happy. He changed a lot since Marisa came into his life and now that you're in his life."
"Yeah, he told me about that. I'm glad they found each other. Marisa deserves her father."
"There's no mistake she's Callen's daughter. She's just like him."
"Yeah I've heard that. I heard she's every bit the agent G is."
"Yes she is and just as stubborn too."
"Who is?" Marisa asked as she, Callen and Sam walked into the bullpen.
"You," Sara answered. "Just as stubborn as your father."
"I'm not stubborn," Callen and Marisa replied at the same time.
"Yeah you are G and so are you Marisa," Sam spoke.
"Fine, maybe I am a bit stubborn, but that's not that bad in our line of work," Marisa replied.
"I am definitely not stubborn," Callen spoke causing Sam and Kensi to laugh.
"Yeah you are Gabi. Sometimes you are really stubborn. I see where Marisa got that from."
"Fine, whatever," Callen responded and sat behind his desk.
The other three couldn't help but laugh.
"What's so funny?" Deeks asked as the stepped in.
"Callen and Marisa don't think they are stubborn," Kensi told him.
"Are you kidding me? They are definitely stubborn. I can see where Marisa got that from."
"See," Sam interjected.
"Whatever," Callen and Marisa replied.
It was a pretty quiet day so the team could catch up on some paperwork.
"Son of a..." Sara cursed after a while.
"You okay Sara?" Callen asked concerned.
"Yeah, the baby is just kicking my kidneys."
"I remember that from when Michelle was pregnant with our daughter," Sam spoke. "I could tell it was not fun for Michelle."
"No, it's not. The baby also likes to use my bladder as a trampoline sometimes which makes me have to pee every 10 minutes."
"Oh yes, the joys of being pregnant."
"Yeah, sometimes it's not a whole lot of fun but when I think about the little baby inside of me and being able to hold it for the first time it's all worth it."
"Yes it is. There's nothing more beautiful that seeing your new born for the first time."
"No there isn't. I remember it very well with Marisa. It was the most beautiful moment ever. I kept hoping G would walk in so he could see it too." Sara glanced at Callen and gave him a smile. "I'm glad he's here this time. It was hard without him when I was pregnant with Marisa."
Callen took Sara's hand. "I'm glad I'm here now too. I'm sorry you had to go through that alone. If I had known I would have dropped everything and I would've come to you."
"I know you would've G. It's in the past. Let's just focus on what we have now and our future. I'm glad we got a second change."
"Me too."
"You two are so sweet together," Kensi interjected. "Everybody can see that you love each other very much."
"Yeah we do," Callen replied.
Kensi walked off around lunch time to get lunch from the kitchen. Marisa followed her since she wanted to ask Kensi something.
"Hey Kens, can I ask you something?"
"Sure, what's up?"
"I was wondering if you'd like to be maid of honor."
"Really? I'd love to." Kensi gave her a hug. "Thank you, I'm honored."
"Great."
It was just after 5pm when Hetty send everyone home.
"I'm just gonna go pick up Zac and then we'll come to your place," Marisa told Callen.
"That's fine."
"Hey Zac," Marisa spoke as she walked into the apartment.
"Hey Mari," Zac greeted her with a kiss. "How was work?"
"Quiet, a lot of paperwork. Yours?"
"Won the case I was working on."
"That's good, congrats."
"Thanks."
"I'm just gonna go change and then we'll head over to my parents."
"That's fine."
20 minutes later Zac and Marisa pulled up to the house. Marisa knocked on the door. A little later Callen opened it.
"Hey dad," Marisa greeted him.
"Hey guys, come on in."
"Hey mom."
"Hey you two."
"We brought you something. Just a little something for the baby," Marisa spoke as she handed the gift to Sara.
"That's really sweet of you, you didn't have to."
Sara opened the package and it revealed a cute little pajama. It was white and the top had the text: 'I love mommy + daddy' and the pants were covered with both 'I love mommy' and 'I love daddy'. The love part was a heart.
"This is so cute, thank you so much. Look G." Sara showed Callen the pajamas.
"Yes it's really cute. Thank you guys."
"You're welcome. I can't wait to meet my little brother or sister."
"I know, neither can we," Sara replied.
"Dinner is almost ready so we can go sit at the table," Callen told everyone.
"How is the wedding planning going?" Sara asked as they were eating.
"Very good. We found a venue and it's 7 months from now. We just have to make some invitations to send to everyone."
"That's good. I'm so glad for you two."
"Yeah we're very happy together. Speaking of which mom, I would like it if you went with me to pick out my dress."
"I would love to."
"Great, I've got an appointment for this weekend."
"That's good."
They had a lovely dinner. Zac and Marisa stayed for a little while before going home.
"I know who I'm gonna ask to be my best man," Zac said once they were home.
"Who?" Marisa asked curiously.
"Marty."
"Deeks? That's nice."
"Yeah, I've known him for a long time and you know him too."
"I'm sure he would be honored."
"Yes he was, I called him earlier today. He was very honored."
"That's nice."
….
That Saturday Marisa came to pick up Sara to go dress shopping.
"Can I come too?" Callen asked.
"Nope, sorry dad. You can see my dress until I get married. This is a women's thing."
"Alright. Go pick out something beautiful."
"I will dad."
They went to the same store as Sara went to for her wedding dress. The saleswoman remembered them.
"Shopping for another wedding dress?"
"Yes, now it's my turn."
Kensi, Nell and Michelle were there too. The saleswoman asked what Marisa was looking for and went to retrieve some dresses. Marisa fell in love with the first one. She tried the other dresses too but she decided to go with the first one. She also picked out some shoes and a veil.
"This dress looks really beautiful on you," Sara told her.
"Thank you. I hope Zac likes it too."
"He'll love it. He's just gonna drop dead when he sees you."
"Not literally I hope," Marisa replied with a smile.
Next they moved on to the bridesmaids dresses. Kensi got another dress then the others since she was the maid of honor. They would pick out a dress for Sara later since she wouldn't be pregnant anymore at the time of the wedding. They would buy something then too for the little baby.
Marisa paid for everything when they were done and they went to get some lunch.
It was around 2pm when Sara stepped back into the house.
"Hey G."
"Hey Sara, did you bought a dress?"
"Yes, Marisa looked so beautiful in it. I can't believe our little girl is getting married."
"I know me neither. I'm happy she found Zac."
"Yeah me too. They are perfect for each other."
"Yes they are. Just like we are," Callen told her with a smile and kissed her.
"Hey Mari," Zac greeted her as she walked in.
"Hey baby."
"Did you find a dress?"
"Yes I did. It's so beautiful."
"What's it like?"
"Nice try mister, you're not gonna see it until the wedding."
"Come on a little hint?"
"Nope, you'll just have to wait. Mom and Kensi will take you and dad for tux shopping next weekend so we'll fit together."
"That's fine. I can't wait till we are married," Zac told her as he pulled her onto his lap.
"Me neither. I love you so much."
"I love you too."
Zac kissed her. Before they knew it they were naked in the bed and they were making love.
…
Next week Sara had a doctor's appointment before the tux shopping. Callen went with her. Sara was now 33 weeks pregnant.
"So how are you feeling?" The doctor asked Sara.
"Fine, but I'm ready for this baby to come out."
"I get that, but you still have 7 more weeks to go. It's too early now."
"I know, I just hope I go into labor before 40 weeks cus I don't think I can handle 7 more weeks."
"Well I understand that but as long as everything is fine we're not gonna rush you into labor."
"I know doctor I know. I just want my old body back."
"That's perfectly normal. A lot of pregnant women feel that way when they are in the last few weeks of the pregnancy. Shall we go see what the baby is up to?"
Sara and Callen followed the doctor to the exam room. Callen helped Sara onto the bed. Sara rolled up her shirt before the doctor put the wand on her stomach. They immediately heard the baby's heartbeat. Callen loved to hear that sound. They saw their little baby on the screen.
"The baby is doing absolutely find. It's growing very good and it's very healthy. We'll keep monitoring you very close these last few weeks to make sure everything is going fine. There's a higher chance of risk now that you're in the last few weeks."
"I know doctor."
"If you keep this up and live healthy and do any crazy stuff I don't see any reason why we should be worried about any complications."
"That's good. I'm only working one more week and then I'm going on maternity leave."
"That's good. I'll see you again next week."
The doctor gave them a picture and they made a new appointment on the way out. They went to pick up Kensi, Deeks and Zac before driving to the store. They picked out a nice suit for each of them with some nice dress shoes.
They dropped them off at home before going back to their place. Sara grabbed the baby book and added the new ultrasound picture. She had put every ultrasound picture in the book. She looked at the pictures. It was nice to see the growth of the baby through the weeks.
"It's pretty amazing," Callen spoke as he stood behind Sara.
"Yes it is."
"Do you have any pictures of you when you were pregnant with Marisa or when Marisa was just born?"
"Yes I made a baby book for Marisa too. I wanted to put in the box as well but I couldn't. I wanted to keep something of her."
"That's perfectly normal. Do you know where it is?"
"Yeah, I'll get it," Sara spoke and she tried to get up.
"Stay here, I'll get it if you tell me where it is."
"It's in the safe where I keep my gun. Do you know the code?"
"Yes I do."
Callen went to their bedroom and opened the safe. He had noticed the box before but he thought it was just jewelry. He took the box back to the living room and opened it. Sara picked up the baby book and opened it. He had seen a couple pictures of Marisa when she was little after she was adopted, but none before that. Sara showed him a pic of her with Marisa just after she was born.
"You two look so cute," Callen spoke with tears in his eyes.
"Yeah, giving her up was the hardest decision I ever had to make. But I had to."
"I know, you told me. I'm just glad we're together now again. She looks so cute."
"Yeah she was the cutest little thing I ever did see."
"Yeah I bet. I can't wait to take a picture of you holding our new born baby."
"And I'm gonna take one of you too. I'm sure you'll look so cute with a little baby in your arms."
That night Sara woke up in the middle of the night when she felt a sharp pain in her stomach.
