22. The Girls and The Occasion (3)
Divulging all to Mike the other day was hard for Kaitlyn to do, but doing so made her feel now as if a load of weight had been lifted from her shoulders. This newfound liberty meant that she could finally enjoy – and really enjoy – the moment she now found herself in; in a jam packed, intentionally gritty apartment in Davenport, Iowa surrounded by strangers who were all just as sweaty and intoxicated as she was. It was a different sort of environment. With the girls back home, big nights consisted of drinking wine and cocktails and maybe hitting a club and dancing the night away before heading back home together and unwinding with banter and gossip... and of course more wine. It was clear from the start that this big night was set to be very, very different. Something in the air just told you that this party was full of people just as young and just as angsty as Kaitlyn, ready to let go and forget about their problems. In some twisted way, this was Kaitlyn's kind of place and she was surrounded by her kind of people.
By now, she was too many drinks in to notice that she had lost AJ a long time ago – an equally drunk Emma had giggled something about seeing her sneak into a room with Xavier – and she had no desire to disturb Big E as he hung out in the corner with a gorgeous girl who could barely keep her hands off of him. She had danced with Emma, Kofi and Bayley but as the night went on each of them would disappear; leaving her to wander around looking for God knows what.
"Hey, Kaitlyn!"
She whipped around quickly to the sound of her name being called over the thumping music. Paige sat perched on the edge of a sofa, swaying from side to side and grinning at her. She waved Kaitlyn over and pulled her in for a hug.
"Are you having a good time?" She called over the music.
"An awesome time," Kaitlyn grinned, her eyes darting back to the sofa where a heavily tattooed man – who she presumed to be Corey Graves – was scanning the British woman's behind. Paige, noticing Kaitlyn's frown, laughed.
"Have you met Corey?" She threw herself onto his lap and whispered something into his ear. Whatever she said made him grin as he held his hand out to Kaitlyn.
"Welcome to my humble abode."
"It's a great party. Nice to meet you."
He nodded and for a second Kaitlyn could swear he was eyeing her up and down, but before she knew it he was standing, his arm still attached to Paige's waist, and beckoning the two women through the room. Kaitlyn looked at Paige for answers, but she once again grinned and shrugged; grabbing Kaitlyn's hand to lead her through the crowd.
Before long they had reached a bedroom, which Corey welcomed the two women into before closing the door behind them.
"What do you like to drink, Kaitlyn?"
Kaitlyn shrugged.
"Hard, hard liquor."
Paige and Corey laughed, before the latter reached into a cupboard and brought out a bottle and a set of glasses.
"So," he said as he began pouring. "You went to college with Big E, right?"
"That's right," Kaitlyn replied as she accepted a glass from him and took the seat he offered her. She quickly down the drink in her hand with a wince. "He's like the big brother I never had, most of the time."
Paige smiled as she swirled her own drink. She was sat on the bed, casually leaning back and watching Kaitlyn all the while. Corey sat upright next to her.
"And you're thinking of moving to Davenport?"
Kaitlyn nodded, quietly thanking him as he poured her another shot.
"Good choice," he murmured.
"I'm bored," Paige groaned, peering around the room. "Can we get the gear out yet?"
Corey smirked and patted her bare leg.
"Patience, kid. I'm trying to give Kaitlyn here the proper Davenport welcome."
Kaitlyn laughed at this.
"And what would that be?"
He licked his lips and shrugged casually.
"Whatever you want it to be."
Paige rolled her eyes and stood.
"Basically," she began. "He just wants to get laid. Leave Kaitlyn alone, Graves."
Kaitlyn raised her eyebrows, looking back and forth at the two of them trying to determine whether or not a joke was being played on her. Corey simply raised a middle finger at Paige and looked back at Kaitlyn with a smirk.
"Paige is just a little upset that our buddy Seth-"
"Corey!" Paige shot him a death glare, making him stop mid-sentence. He remained silent and watched as she reached into one of her pockets and brought out a small baggie full of a white, powdery substance. "Now, can we have some actual fun?"
Kaitlyn sat back and bit her lip as she watched Corey and Paige partake. When the bag was thrust in her direction, her breath hitched in her throat.
"You in?" Paige asked quietly, eyeing her cautiously. Kaitlyn closed her eyes for a moment, the alcohol in her system causing her thoughts to blur. The girls would be horrified if they could see her right now, but thankfully, they couldn't.
"Yeah... I'm in."
Eve beamed as she glanced around the dining table at the sea of happy faces and clean plates. She was known for being meticulous in her planning and forward-thinking, but even she had to give herself credit for the well done table placements. She was right next to Maria, which meant the two could easily advise each other on the two men directly opposite them – Dean and Roman – while Alicia and Justin were further down the table but still opposite her, meaning that she could communicate non-verbally with the former when need be and keep an eye on the latter to keep her suspicions in check. On her other side was Mike and Maryse, with Mike being more than happy to relive the 'good old days' of high school, while also occasionally stopping to continue to bond with Wade over all the money they had in common.
All the same, as Eve's mind raced as she observed, all she could think about was the sight of Mike and Maryse together; the two of them sharing their cute jokes and stories as they gazed across the table at each other. She couldn't ever think of a time when Mike would look at her like that. At best, she would get a territorial pat on the ass as he showed off his 'hot girlfriend' to his friends, but now with Maryse, he would touch and hold her with such tenderness, and watch with intent, glee and pride as she spoke on her business endeavours. As much as she was over Mike and their past relationship, it stung a little to spend a dinner at her home being reminded of everything she never got from him.
Her mind continued to travel until she briefly looked up from her own plate and made eye contact with Roman; who as he always did eyed her with a grin as he licked his lips. As the girls had pointed out, he looked at her like she was worth a million bucks, but in the back of Eve's mind she couldn't help but notice how that look always had an element of lust to it that made her feel just a little uncomfortable. But of course, she couldn't help but to love the attention. Even if he was technically now her boss, when a man like Roman Reigns looked at you like that, it wasn't something you could ignore.
"This looks amazing, Eve," he murmured in reference to the main course on the table before him, his gaze still meeting hers. She could feel her cheeks flush red.
"Thank you," she grinned. "Hopefully it tastes just as good."
"I'm wondering the same thing myself."
A moment passed where they shared another heated look, one that made Eve practically squirm in her seat. At this point she couldn't determine how far he was teasing and how far he was joking, but at this point she just couldn't care anymore. If Roman wanted a taste... How could she say no?
Maria couldn't help but to smirk to herself at what was taking place right beside her. Eve and Roman had spent the entire evening eye-fucking, and now they both looked like they were ready to take things straight to the bedroom. Not that she could blame them, of course.
Glancing down at her phone again, she wondered why she was still even waiting for a message from Punk. Just one decent excuse, or even just an innocent 'I totally forgot!' would suffice, but still nothing. He must have had a damn good reason.
She sighed and pushed her potatoes around the plate. Dean had excused himself to the bathroom, leaving her to try and join in with the conversations taking place around her; namely, Eve, Roman, Maryse and Mike embroiled in a passionate discussion about the Connecticut job market. She wished now more than ever that Kaitlyn was around, even if all she would do was tell Maria off for her moping.
"I'll be right back," she muttered to Eve, standing and pushing her chair back into its place. "I need to go to the bathroom."
Eve nodded before turning back to Roman and Mike, while Maria rolled her eyes and headed out of the bathroom. On the way, she noticed that the front door was ajar. With a frown, she approached it and was immediately hit with the smell of cigarettes.
"That's an awful habit," she said lightly, wrapping her arms around herself as she stepped onto the porch with Dean.
"Huh," he chuckled. "I never would have guessed."
She laughed at his sarcastic quip and let out a sigh.
"I've only ever tried a cigarette once before, but sometimes I get jealous of smokers."
"Why's that?" Dean asked coolly, still looking straight ahead.
"Because they've always got a reason to escape."
He paused for a moment, nodding.
"What are you trying to escape from?" He said finally.
"The gross love fest going on in there," she replied with a shudder.
Dean laughed quietly and finally lifted his head to look at Maria.
"Yeah," he sighed. "It must suck when your first choice bails on you."
She frowned.
"First choice?"
Dean rolled his eyes.
"I heard about the dude you were supposed to bring tonight. I mean, Eve wouldn't say that I'm the pity date, but I assumed just as much."
"Dean... You're not a pity date! I mean, it's not like you're a date in the first place so-"
She bit her lip and scrunched up her face in frustration.
"Not like that, more like-"
"Maria," he interrupted. "It's cool."
The two met eyes for a moment and began laughing.
"You're nuts," he shook his head.
She shrugged and leaned back against the door frame.
"So, is this that same guy you were telling me about at Roman's party? The high school flame?"
"I wouldn't exactly say flame," Maria giggled. "But yeah. Him."
She trailed off at the end of her sentence, her gaze leaving Dean and moving further into the distance.
"If you want my opinion," he said, intentionally interrupting her daydream. "High school's a load of BS. You seem like you could do a whole lot better."
Maria frowned.
"Better than Punk?"
"Better than high school."
She paused for a moment in thought before meeting his gaze and laughing it off.
"I'll let you know when I do," she said finally.
"I'm looking forward to it."
The silence returned as Maria once again avoided meeting his eyes. Noticing he was still midway through his cigarette, she decided to turn the conversation around.
"What about you?"
"What about me?" He frowned.
"I'm sure you've got some quirks. You seem like someone with a load of stories to tell."
He paused for a moment in thought, looking over at her earnestly.
"Nah," he said finally. "I wouldn't want to scare you off. Especially not this early on."
"Nothing scares me," she giggled. "And I'm the queen of scaring people off. As is evidenced by my no-show dinner party date."
"Well," Dean shrugged. "He has no idea what he's missing, right?"
She sighed but nodded anyway.
"I guess. Oh, we better get back inside. Eve probably thinks we're boning or something."
Dean couldn't help but to let out a laugh at her sudden brashness. The redhead grinned and winked, leading the way back into the house as Dean watched her.
"Hey, Maria?" He had stopped just outside the dining room, running a hand through his somewhat less messy than usual hair. Maria stopped with him with a warm smile.
"What's up?"
"When you're ready to do better than high school, I'd still love to take you on that date. And not a pity date."
She grinned, making him eventually do the same.
"Well, we're here now, aren't we? It wasn't exactly what I had in mind, but I guess sometimes fate veers you off course, right?"
He laughed and shook his head, letting her know that he had no idea what she was talking about.
Alicia sighed into her glass of wine as another raucous burst of laughter came from Wade and Mike. Meeting eyes with Kelly over the top of her glass, she forced a smile but the blonde was quick to see through it.
"Hey Eve," she called across the table. "Me and 'Leesh are gonna go and check on dessert."
Eve grinned with a nod, clearly more than happy to continue her conversation with Mike, Maryse and most importantly, Roman. Alicia gave Kelly a confused frown, but followed as she headed to the kitchen.
"Please don't tell me you're having an awful time," Kelly said in a hushed tone, quickly closing the kitchen door behind them.
"No!" Alicia protested, sitting at the counter. "Of course not. I guess I just can't stop thinking about the fact that I'm moving to New York in a matter of days."
Kelly grinned and shook her by the shoulders.
"Do you not understand how amazing that is?!" She beamed.
"Of course I do," Alicia sighed. "But..."
"Alicia, don't you dare say a thing about me and the girls."
"But-"
"Alicia!"
"But what about you?! And Kaitlyn? And Maria? God, even Eve! Think about how much is going on right now. What kind of friend am I if I can't be there for you guys anymore?"
"Alicia," Kelly said firmly. "We're all grown ups. It might not seem like it sometimes, but we are. Whatever is going on, we can all handle it. We can take care of ourselves!"
"I know," Alicia sighed again, playing absentmindedly with the hem of her skirt.
"So what else is going on? Because I know for sure that there's more to it than the girls. Is this about Wade? Because you guys have been pretty off with each other all night and I definitely noticed..."
Alicia couldn't help but to laugh at this.
"Of course. Someone always notices."
"Just how you noticed when I was having problems with Justin."
Alicia raised her eyebrows.
"'Was' as in past tense?"
Kelly sighed and pulled up the seat next to her.
"First, tell me about Wade."
"There's nothing to tell," Alicia tried to protest until Kelly's pursed lips and raised eyebrows stopped her in her tracks. "Honestly, girl. It's just jitters about the move."
Kelly sighed but shrugged.
"Okay," she said slowly. "But if I hear he's stepping a toe out of line..."
Alicia giggled and gave her a light shove.
"He wouldn't dare."
The two women laughed; the kind that eventually turned into a collective sigh as they both once again became lost in their own thoughts.
Kelly sighed again when she began thinking about just how different Wade and Alicia were in comparison to her and Justin. They just oozed power couple, much like Mike and Maryse did for that matter. As they sat at the table discussing their accomplishments and fawning over one another, Kelly couldn't help but to feel the slightest pang of jealousy. Justin was nothing like Wade and Mike; with their designer clothing and charming business talk. He was cool, casual and laidback, something which of course attracted Kelly to him, but now that having him exposed to the rest of her group, she couldn't help but feel embarrassed by their comparatively unsuccessful professional careers.
Justin, on the other hand, didn't seem to even notice the difference. As Alicia and Kelly returned to the table (letting Eve know that dessert wasn't quite ready), Kelly groaned to herself as she heard him tell yet another story about one of his high flying adventures. Reluctantly, she plastered a grin across her face and kissed his cheek as the group buzzed over his daredevil antics.
"I'm just gonna head to the bathroom, babe," he said, patting her warmly on the knee. "I'll be back in a minute."
He winked at her, sliding his cell phone into his pocket and heading briskly out of the room. She looked around the table, hoping that Eve and Alicia picked up on this slight point. Unsurprisingly, Eve's eyes were firmly locked on Roman. On the other side of the table were two empty spaces where Wade and Alicia were supposed to be. Frowning, she quietly excused herself to no one in particular and headed out of the dining room.
Although she was in hot pursuit of Justin, the first voice she came across was Alicia's from behind a door. Out of both concern for her friend and morbid curiosity, she inched closer.
"Are you freaking kidding me?!" Her hushed voice screeched out. "Now of all times is when you want to have this conversation? I can't even bring you to my going-away dinner with my best friends without you sneaking off to do 'business'?"
"Look, love, you're blowing this way out of proportion. Tom called me out of the blue, what was I supposed to do?"
"You were supposed to hang up and tell him tonight is for your fiancée."
"It's not that simple-"
"Why not?!"
"Because my parents are putting the pressure on me to get through these channels. You've already said you're happy to sign..."
"Happy?! You really think I'm happy about it?"
"You know what I mean."
"No, actually, Wade, I don't think you do."
"It's just a silly little-"
"It's a freakin' pre-nup! You're cornering me at a party to get me to sign a pre-nup!"
Kelly's jaw dropped and she instinctively stepped back, suddenly not wanting to hear anymore. She swallowed the lump in her throat and backed away from the door, only to collide with Mike as he came down the stairs behind her.
"Shit!" She hissed, clutching her chest as her heart raced.
"Sorry about that," he said in response, holding onto her arm to level her. "You alright?"
She nodded fervently, trying her best to smile casually at him.
"Yeah, just me being a klutz."
Mike frowned but nodded anyway. She gave a nervous giggle, suddenly dropping her eye contact with him as she remembered their last meeting. His mind must have gone to the same place, as he suddenly lowered his voice.
"Hey," he said softly, his hand on her arm still. "I never got the chance to apologize to you about the stuff that went down at the party. I really should have said Dolph was going to be there-"
"No!" She choked, before clearing her throat and trying to regain her cool. "I mean, it doesn't matter. It was a little bit of a shock but who cares, right?"
He gave a small nod and began to respond until their conversation was interrupted by Justin coming down the stairs behind him.
"Hey," he said, watching them with a frown. Kelly and Mike looked at each other sheepishly before quickly dropping their eye contact.
"Hey," the two said quickly in response.
"Uh," Mike laughed casually. "I better get back in there. Maryse probably thinks I've snuck off to do business."
Kelly gave a quiet giggle and looked back at Justin. The confused look on his face made her once again look away.
"I should probably get back in there too..."
"Kelly," Justin said sternly, grabbing hold of her arm. "Come here."
He beckoned towards the kitchen and Kelly reluctantly followed, once again swallowing the lump in her throat. He motioned to her to take a seat at the table and she did so, still attempting to avoid eye contact.
"What were you up to out there?" He asked frankly, looking straight at her. She simply shrugged and turned her attention to the pile of spilled salt before her. "Kelly!"
"What?!" She reluctantly looked up, trying to force a smile. Justin sighed and sat back in his chair.
"Were you following me?"
Her eyebrows raised at the boldness of his question.
"What?!" She repeated, at this point like a broken record.
"Were you following me?" He repeated, this time slowly and with even more frankness.
"Why would I be doing that?" She mumbled.
"I don't know. You tell me."
Now, she finally looked up at him and the two became engaged in a stare down. His arms were folded against his chest and his expression was stern as anything. Her lips were quivering as she played with her hands.
"Justin..."
"Answer my question."
He moved her hands away as she attempted to reach out to him, only making her shake more.
"Why do I feel like this has become a recurrent thing?" He said quietly. "Lately you've just been... constantly surveying me. Always staring at my phone, or coming to find me if I've been out of the damn room too long. Or calling me at work or if I'm out... Kells, could you just tell me what is going on?"
"Can't we talk about this at home?"
"I think we should talk about it now."
"But-"
"Kelly!"
His sudden raised voice made her break down. Kelly jumped to her feet and quickly rushed out of the room, ignoring him as he called after her. She gasped as she bumped into a teary eyed Alicia in the hallway, with Wade coming out of the room behind her with an unreadable look on his face.
"Kelly?" Alicia croaked as Justin came out of the kitchen.
The four remained stood in the hallway engaged in an uncomfortable silence that seemed to go on forever. The only eyes that could meet were Alicia's and Kelly's, both of whom seemed to be silently reaching out to each other for help.
"What on earth is going on out here?"
And as if the situation couldn't become any more tense, Eve and Maria came wandering out of the dining room; both with confused expressions on their faces. Looking quickly at Alicia and Kelly, Eve's intuition kicked in almost instantly, while Maria continued sipping her wine.
"Okay," Eve said suddenly, clapping her hands together. "Why don't you guys get back to the table while me and the girls get the dessert?"
The two men in question gave small nods as they marched back to the dining room, while Eve led the charge of women straight into the kitchen.
Kaitlyn closed her eyes and swayed to the sound and the feel of the thudding music. The lights had suddenly become brighter, with neon lights splashing across the room and illuminating the blurry faces. Without thinking, she raised her hands in the air with the rest of the crowd and allowed herself to be completely overtaken by the atmosphere.
Just for once, it felt good to be free. There was no Dolph Ziggler in this room. There was no nagging Eve, or whining Maria, or gushing Alicia, or any of the guilt she felt whenever she thought about Kelly. No judgement, no tears, no arguments, no drama... Just freedom. No 'Kaitlyn, do this', no 'Kaitlyn, why are you doing this?', no 'Kaitlyn, Kaitlyn, Kaitlyn...' Hell, that didn't even have to be her name anymore. Right now, she could be anyone and who would be able to tell her otherwise? Certainly not any of those pesky childhood friends. Kaitlyn who? She could be a 'Celeste'. She'd always liked that name. Her mom had told her once that that was her second choice in naming her. Kaitlyn who? Kaitlyn...
"Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn... Kaitlyn!"
She opened her eyes and squinted through the neon and darkness at the figure that had appeared before her. A tall, bearded man, with a head of hair that was half blonde and half black. She giggled to herself.
"You look silly."
She reached out to touch the mop of hair in question and a bright smile spread across his face.
"You're so silly, Seth," she giggled again.
"Speak for yourself," he replied, running his hand through her own two-toned hair. "You feeling good?"
She nodded profusely and asked him the same question.
"I'm feeling great. Come dance with me."
She nodded again, smiling to herself as his hand slipped out of her hair and down to clutch her hand. He led her right into the middle of the clump of people and held onto her waist as the two began moving to the music.
"So," he said, quietly enough for the conversation between them to be private, but loud enough for her to be able to hear him.
"So," she repeated calmly, still moving to the music.
"So, you and Big E?"
At this, she laughed and shook her head.
"God, no!"
Seth began laughing too, albeit a little more nervously than she did.
"Good."
"Why is it good?"
He laughed again, bringing her body closer to his.
"You tell me."
For the first time since they had began dancing, she brought her head up and focused her eyes on his face; namely his brown eyes. His pupils were dilated but he still had an earnest expression spread across his features. Nervous, even. He really was handsome, in a weird way, she thought. Here she was in Davenport, far away from Connecticut, far enough to do whatever she wanted. So, she tilted her head upwards and planted a kiss on his lips. He grinned in response and leaned down in order to do it again, but this time she simply giggled and backed away from him, resuming her dancing. He shook his head and took the hand she held out for him, following her through the throes of people.
Eve quietly pulled the cake out of the fridge and placed it on the counter. Retrieving a knife from the drawer, she quickly got to cutting it into sections, all the while with her back turned to the three friends she had sat down at the kitchen table.
"Dean's pretty cool," Maria sighed dreamily. "He's really funny. And pretty cute. Do you guys think he's cute? In like, a sort of weird and obscure way. He has an awesome smile."
Maria's ramblings continued without response or interruption as Eve continued focussing on the cake and Alicia and Kelly stared straight ahead.
"Don't get me wrong, Punk is light years ahead in terms of looks, but Dean's still-"
"Stop, Maria!"
Three heads shot in Alicia's direction. She was still staring ahead, but the expression on her face was harsh enough for Maria to be taken aback.
"Leesh!" She stammered.
"Quit it," she continued. "Quit talking about Punk as if he means anything! He's not here tonight because he doesn't care! Because he has a girlfriend and you're some crazy chick from high school who is refusing to grow up! Why exactly would he be here tonight? What were you expecting, Maria?! Some fairytale little ending where he wakes up one day and decides he's in love with you? It didn't happen in high school and it sure as hell won't happen now. So just grow up!"
"Alicia..." Eve spoke quietly and calmly, looking back and forth between the two women. Alicia's chest was heaving in fury while Maria simply stared down at her glass and sniffed.
"What, Eve?" Alicia spat in response, swiftly whipping around to look in her direction. "What?"
Eve sighed and left the counter, going to take a seat at the table.
"No, okay," Alicia put her hands up. "Don't even try and do this mediator Dr. Phil BS. As if this whole dinner party wasn't for you to show off to Mike how great you're doing without him."
"This party was for you!" Eve spat back, leaning across the table towards her.
"As if!" Alicia gave a sardonic laugh. "This party was to get us all together so we can pretend to be grown ups while you pretend that wanting to bang Roman Reigns changes the fact that you're not over Mike! So here's your grown up party, Eve; here's adult life. We've got a girl who can't get over her ex; another who won't let go of a childhood crush; one who hates her life so much that she literally got on a plane and ran off; one who still has so many trust issues that she can't be away from her man for five minutes; and finally, the girl with the fairytale life who, instead of a glass slipper, was given a damn pre-nup by her Prince Charming. So can we all just stop lying to ourselves and be real about the fact that none of us are having a good time tonight?"
Alicia shook her head and rested it in her hands as Kelly, Eve and Maria all looked down. As per usual, each of the girls could tell what the other was thinking. The saddest truth was, even sadder than those Alicia had just blurted out of nowhere, was that they all knew just how right she was.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Kelly said quietly, looking over at Alicia.
Looking up from her slouched position, Alicia sniffed and began wiping at her eyes.
"Because it wouldn't change anything. This isn't some high school boyfriend drama; we're talking about the man I'm about to move across the country with, the man I'm about to marry for God's sake... If I can't deal with this myself, what am I supposed to do a few years down the line when we're dealing with marriage problems? When we're talking about raising kids? It's just... It's real, now. This is all real."
"You're right," Maria said quietly to everyone's surprise, slowly pushing her chair back and getting to her feet. "It is real. No more fairytales now, huh? We're adults, ladies."
She let out a short, sardonic laugh, wine glass in hand and crossed the room towards the door.
"So we better get dessert served. There are guests waiting, after all."
"Is this real right now?"
Kaitlyn's voice came out in a breathy whisper as Seth continued pressing kisses up and down her jaw, neck and chest. She lay back on the bed, her eyes closed and her breathing heavy as the Iowa native began undressing her.
"Do you want it to be real?" He said in response in between kisses.
She giggled and ruffled his hair, tilting his head upwards so that she could look at him again. After some time and some thought, she gave a casual shrug.
"I don't even know anymore."
The two laughed as her legs wrapped around his waist. All that Kaitlyn knew for sure was that she felt good. The sound of the thumping music that bled into the room felt good, as did the way Seth's kisses and touches feel across her body. His complimentary mutters felt good and whatever was in her system right now felt good. The way he kept asking her if she was feeling good felt good, and how in tune he was with what she wanted felt good. But, nothing felt better than the feeling of the vibrations that ran through her body as he let out a groan and thrust into her for the first time.
