Hello everyone I will be introducing a new OC today. Her name is Lydia Laken. She comes from frozenwater, a pre-Qual of mine. Check it out sometime! (Do know there are a few "kinks" that i need to fix/delete, such as her being a new guardian which is not currently right)

Spring Eggs

Chapter 8: Enter the Fish Girl

A silence filled the air, as the large group sat around a long table. The large doors were closed, closing the room off from the bustling workshop outside. Goblets and plates of food were placed at each seat. The only thing that was heard was the soft clinking from goblet to table, and fork to plate. The table was a deep maroon and had the picture of a golden compass right in the middle of it. North sat at one end, while Crystal sat at the other. Above them was a beautiful chandlier, of red and gold lining. Abovd the chandilier, strong wooden beams made up the "flooring" of some upper space. 2 large windows shined behind North, as a blizzard raged outside. Finally Sonny broke the silence.

"Sooooo, how's the weather?" She asks. Everyone just turned their heads and lifted eyebrows. Sonny sinks in her chair below the table of embarrassment and the silence continued. "Well Guardians, Season Spirits," North ackowledged. "We act like we have had a great loss today. But today, we should br celebrating a victory!" He exclaimed, standing up and raising his glass. "To Man in Moon!" He cried. "To the Man in the Moon!" The rest said, raising their glasses, all except for Crystal, who remained silent. It didn't go unoticed.

"So Crystal," Bunnymund started, emphasizing her name. Crystal looked to him with a pokerface, an eyebrow lifted. "Why is Pitch out to destroy spring?" He continued. Casey's ears swiveled forward, the only thing showing she was interested in hearing this. Sonny turned her head, not practiced in the skill of "pokerface". Crystal sipped her glass casually, then put her elbows on the table. She folded her feathered hands and took a deep breath. "Quite simple actually, I cant believe you havent figured it out yet." she said haughtily. Tulip saw Bunnymund's fur flare up. "Well alright feather brain, why dont you tell us," he struck back.

Crystal rolled her eyes at him then stood up. She looked quite tall with her haughty composure. She began to walk around the long table slowly, eyeing each person. "You should know that in the world, there is a balance." Crystal began, a slow rythamic clicking heard each time she took a step. "That balance is made of the elements," she picked up a bronze scale from on a table against the wall. She set it down in the middle of the dinning table. "Earth, Water, Fire, Air make up the physical Elements," she continued. Crystal placed 4 raisins on one side, yet the other side lifted up. "Of course, there are 2 Elements that you can see but cannot touch. Light and Shadows balance the 4 physical elements, creating perfect harmony." Crystal explained, placing 2 blueberries on the empty side, which leveled with the opposite. "But" she emphasized, recapturing everybody's attention. "If any element would be, let's say, removed, then the elements would become unbalanced." She took off a raisin from the physical element side. The scale tipped toward the 2 blueberries. "Now the scale is unbalanced," she pointed out.

"We can see that," Bunnymund said, sounding irritated. "Please just get to the point." Crystal huffed. "Well, Mister Hoppity Hop is getting impatient isn't he?" She retorted. "Two season represent darkness, the other two represent light." Crystal's voice boomed all over the big room. "Two are the strongest of the 2, those would be Winter," she pointed at a raisin. "And summer." She pointed at another raisin then picked up the removed raisin, putting it back in its original place, balancing the scale again. "The other 2 introduce nature to their, stronger siblings, causing them to be most important. So think. If spring was destroyed..." "The earth would plunge into eternal winter!" Tooth finished in alarm.

Crystal nodded gravely. "I..." Jack's voice spoke and everyone turned their heads to him. He looked down at the table, his eyebrows furrowed in thought, he then looked at everyone. "When...I was in the Arctic, Pitch offered me allegiance...'Cold and Dark' That's what he said..I wonder if he is still trying to get that..." he said thoughtfully. "Of coooooouuuuuurse!" Sonny said in realization. Tulip finally understood...why Pitch was out to destroy her season. She knew what happened between him and the Guardians, and how his NightMares turned against him.

The Guardians chattered excitedly, making out plans. But Casey suddenly swiveled her ears upward, furrowing her brow, looking up at the wooden beams above them. Her eyes narrowed, but no body else noticed, too caught up in their plans. Creeeak. There it was. Creeeeaak. The pattern continued, like...footsteps. Casey could see a shadow! "Lo que en el nombre de la madre naturaleza?" (What in the name of mother nature?) She thought to herself. She saw it move again, it was a person! She sudden jumped up onto the table, catching everybody's attention. Snapping out her fan and swinging it, causing a large gust of wind.

It knocked into the shadow, and it waved its arms wildly, losing its balance and falling off the beam, beginning to fall to the table below with a cry. Sandy sprang into action, using his sand to catch the falling figure. But he missed by an inch, and the figure was hit sideways, and he tried again and again, the person falling like a pinball. it finally hit the table with a crash, sliding across the table until it landed right in front of Casey's feet. The sand faded away and the Sandman just scratched his head, embarrassed.

The figure looked up, at Casey, and Casey reached down and grabbed the girl by the collar of a sweater of some-sort. Her face was terrified as Casey snarled like the animal she was in her face, barkng sharp canines. "Who are you?! Why are you spying on us?!" She spat in the girls face.

"Casey thats ENOUGH!" North shouted, standing up in his seat. Everbodys' heads turning to him. "Release her!" he commanded. Casey just growled and dropped the girl to the ground, still standing on the table. "Lydia what are you doing here?" North demanded. the girl slowly got up and got off the table to and empty end, near the door. A deadly glare shot by Crystal to Casey made the raging fox sit down in her seat, glaring at the new person.

Tulip stared at the girl in awe. The girl looked around 16, short, and frail looking. Her skin was pale, and her face scared and rather nervous. Her eyes were a deep sea green. Her hair was braided back in a long braid, but the colors were of an ocean blue, with tints of seaweed green and lighter aquatic blues. Bangs of wavy locks carrying these colors framed her face in a beautiful way. But the most odd thing about her were the fish-like fins that were where her ears should be. She wore a Christmas sweater, with sweatpants and fuzzy socks on.

The girl's eyes darted nervously over the crowd, and she took a deep breath. "H-hello.." She said quietly. "I-I'm Lydia Laken and uh...hi..." she says quietly. North nodded "Lydia why are you here?" he questioned. She shifted, clasping her hands in front of her chest. "I-I got curious..." She said quietly. Her voice was like an ocean's breeze; quiet and soft. "Well miss Laken, this is none of your business, you shouldnt be here" he scolded. She nodded, embarrassed and was about to leave when suddenly a Yeti busted through the large doors, almost trampling her. A look fo alarm was on his face, he was breathing heavily. "Ah WARRAHAHAR!" he yelled to North.

"Snow in Africa?" Lydia and North said at the same exact time. The yeti just nodded vigorously. Everyone stood up. North walked to the doors, the Yeti dips his head. Everyone gathered behind him, including Lydia.

"Alright everyone let's go!"
