Chapter 30: From the Heart
I dont know when it was that I started getting used to the feel of running as a giant, but it was terribly convenient. My priority was saving Eren from the hord of titans bringing down Reiner, but I needed to hurry. Those things were going to eat them all if I didn't retrieve my friend now. The sound of horses hooves slamming against the grassy plains filled my ears as I was highly conscious of the scouting legion following behind me. I led the way for them, acting as a shield for any wondering titans coming their way. It was hard to use the gear in an open space after all, I had to retrieve Eren and see to them at the same time. It was stressing.
"Sakura! Knock down the titans in front, we can sneak in that way!" Erwin shouted loudly.
I looked ahead, seeing what he meant. Many of the titans were hoovered above Reiner, restraining him from any movement. He was struggling to keep his balance and roared. Hand raised high above his head, he punched a nearby titan in an uppercut fashion, ripping its head off of its body. With keen eyes, I spotted two figures on the outstretched hand. Bertholdt and Eren.
"There they are!" Jeans voice rang out, "He released his hand!"
I sped up, and with a sudden halt, twisted around to slam my foot across the lesser titans, sending a huge splitting sound across the air, the flesh and bone being torn apart by my blow. I worked in a frenzy, punching and grabbing the ones in the way, sending them tumbling away to make way for my comrades. Reiner didn't seem to mind, he needed them gone too, but was betrayed by my sudden attempt at gripping his outstretched arm to lower it. He resisted strongly, growling in the process, silently telling me to back off.
Even so, i had succeeded in clearing the path, and Erwins loud voice confirmed it.
"Now!" He shouted, as the sound of swords sliding out of the gears filled the air. I heard screams, one of the members was grabbed by a nearby titan. And i realized, with wide eyes, that the person taken was Erwin, I recognized the blur of blonde hair in the wind as a lesser titan held on to his arm with its teeth, crushing it, bending it to an odd and grotesque angle. No...I had to do something.
"Captain!" Mikasa shouted. It was clear the rest of the members were slowing down for him, even me, I had the reflex of rushing to his aid, but his desperate voice stopped us all.
"Advance!" He screeched, eyes wild and wide. It made my heart skip a beat. He was crazy. "Advance! Eren is right before your eyes! Go!"
Armin clenched his teeth, and kept riding, encouraging the rest to follow. I didn't. I cleared the path for them to go in, my job was done. I wasn't going to let Erwin die. I sped towards him, abandoning the armored titan and advancing to Erwins flailing body. He was struggling to keep still, it was obvious that the harsh movement was sending bolts of pain across his body, from the way his face was scrunched up.
I passed Levi, who nodded at me quickly before speeding off. I couldn't believe that of all random people to be grabbed, it had to be Erwin. It was almost as if these things had brains and knew to go for the leader specifically. But I knew it was a lucky strike on their part. I scooped the titan up and grabbed his head in one swift movement, crushing it easily. Blood splattered across its face and it convulsed, letting go of Erwin. I tossed it aside quickly and caught the mans falling body in my hand, kneeling to see the damage. His arm was ripped off, blood was gushing from his wound like a waterhose, making me panic. How was I suppose to regenerate it in this state? He was so tiny I couldn't properly see the inside of his arm to heal the nerves.
He panted heavily, sweat falling down his forehead. His neatly combed blonde hair was now messy and wild. "Go..." he breathed out stubbornly, pointing with his good arm towards the carnage behind me. "Go get...Eren."
I wanted to protest, but it was hard in my current state. The fool...didn't he care about his own life? I shut my huge eyes momentarily, concentrating hard. Ymir could surface from the back of her neck at will...then so could I if I tried. I stayed still and mentally fought to find my real body, it was somewhere in there. After a while of silence I felt my titan body go numb, the sudden muscle weakness making me slip out of consciousness. It felt uncomfortable enough for me to want to break it off, but I needed to do this for Erwins sake.
Before I could react, a sudden bolt made me jump. It was like waking up from a dream of falling, jolting awake just before my body hit the floor. It was hot, really hot. Enough for me to want to get out as soon as possible. It was also extremely crowded. Flesh and tendons held me in place as i struggled to claw around, squirming with all my might. With a hard tug, I was able to release my arm and rip the rest of the flesh holding me down. I had to find my way out of here. With a few more final tugs, I was completely freed, and turned my body through the hot steamy flesh. There was a space behind me that looked thinner, most probably the back of my titans neck. I twirled and gripped at it, tearing it apart with ease. Steam rose out as a blast of cold air hit me like a ton of bricks.
"Aarrgh" I muttered out as I dragged myself out through what seemed like endless piles of jello. Of course, it was really just piles of torn flesh, a bit nasty. I felt around long pink locks to stand up shakily. It was weird to get out like this...fully conscious and aware. It was like i was a newborn, feeling wind for the first time. Coughing, I looked around for Erwin. He was trying to tie his torn jacket around his bloody heap of an arm.
"Erwin!" I shouted, hopping down with a cat-like stealth and landing perfectly on the outstretched hand of my dissolving titan. I had to get him out as fast as possible before it turned into bone and crumbled. Picking him up carefully, I pulled his good arm over my shoulder and hopped off. It wasn't a big fall thankfully, so I was able to set him down at ease. I had to do this quick before the titans noticed us. My titan was serving as a temporary wall.
"No...you need to help them fight." The blonde breathed. His face was going pale and it was starting to worry me.
"They will be fine, besides." I muttered, grinning at him. "Who will lead them to victory? If you died right now, they will fall into the hands of Levi, and will be forced into years of hard labor Hell...slaves to windex and mops." I shuddered. Even I feared that sort of thought.
Erwin allowed himself a small grin of his own, laying down with an exhausted thump. I sighed in relief behind my own messy strands of pink hair. Grabbing his arm, I set to work immediately, pressing my hands on his arms and pumping chakra into them, being more forceful than usual for the sake of time.
"Hn." He winced slightly but relaxed under my touch, eyes closed and full lips slightly parted. I blinked several times and averted my eyes from the sight. Erwin was handsome, It made me remember the time by the lake. I had to save him no matter what. I knew that he was important to Levi, in a way I could never understand. And that was more than enough to keep me motivated. I pumped harder, hands glowing furiously. His flesh was healing faster, but at a cost.
"Ow." He winced again.
"Sorry." I muttered under my breath. "I'm almost finished."
He sat up then, and stared at me as I healed. I gulped. Did he have to stare? He was making me feel pressured...it was like that time when I had to heal garaa. I was nervous and more than a little weary since the battle with sasuke. He almost killed me, but when I healed him he had this sort of look of admiration. Him of all people. He was only trying to help lee fight kimimaru so it was the most I could do. Yet that look never left my memory. It was the same look Erwin was giving me now.
"Sakura?" He called carefully.
I blinked, green orbs going wide with surprise. I was dazing off. I looked down at my handiwork and saw his arm back to normal, it was healed, although it was far from perfect. I needed more time to completely heal everything to the bone.
The blonde stared down at it, gripping it softly. "Amazing." He muttered. "Thank you." blue hues collided with my own and I couldn't help but feel flushed.
"Of course." I stammered.
His friendly gaze turned towards my titan as it melted away, nothing but a heap of bones now. "You have to retrieve Eren." He spoke with the same controlled tone he always did. It was flabbergasting. A few minutes ago he was losing an arm, but now he was acting like nothing ever happened. Just as expected of the survey corps leader.
I nodded and looked ahead. Several of our people got passed the few titans that managed to scramble back up, but several others were getting eaten. I blinked several times. He was right. I had to do more than just heal. "You're right! Leave it to me captain!" I yelled and ran at top speed towards the comrades left behind.
Erwin muttered something incoherent as I ran, leaving him behind clutching his arm. I had to help these people.
Feet slamming against the wet grassy plains, I leaped high into the air, forcing chakra into my clenched fist and flying towards a lesser titan eating a comrade. Screams of alarm and fright filled the air as my fist collided with the things face, a massive blow that sent it spiraling. Landing on another titans shoulder, I backflipped into the air, using it as leverage to dodge a titans swiping hand. With a heavy pant, I skidded across the floor, black boots whining with the action. Another hand came down hard on me, and I had to move again, jumping high above the mindless zombie and sent a kick down hard against its head. It convulsed under me, eyes lolling back as it spasmed and fell. My leg vibrated with the action, and I leaped again, dodging another swipe. Looking around, I spotted several members limbs torn apart. It was a blood bath. There were simply too many titans to handle by myself. Everyone else was either running away or being killed. I huffed in worry. I had to think of something quick.
I just needed time. I hopped away again just in time as another giant hand made a grab at me. Twirling, I spun and hopped on its head. Rather than dealing another blow, I decided to use its height to get a good look at everyone else at the armored titans position. Everyone got there already, and were doing their best to kill off the titans trying to grab at them. I hopped off just as soon as the titan below me swiped at his head, and landed perfectly on my feet, wasting no time in running at full speed towards the armored titan. Never mind the lesser titans...the sooner we retrieved Eren, the faster we could all leave.
I was almost there, I was starting to hear the sound of wires shooting everywhere as people flew like flies, bringing down the pests that stood in the way.
Mikasa flew past me and towards the outstretched hand of Reiner. Where Bertholdt held Eren hostage. Since the titan was too busy dealing with the lesser titans, he wasn't paying much attention to us. Now was our chance!
I leaped onto Reiner's back and using my chakra, ran upwards to come to Mikasa's aid. She flew past and swung her sword, earning a hard grunt from Bertholdt. He managed to duck and roll away with Eren in tow. Mikasa cursed and glared at the man. Until a hand came fast, too fast for her to notice.
"Look out!" I shrieked, pointing behind her. She froze in mid-air, charcoal eyes grew wide as a titan wrapped its hand around her. She was in its grip now. I moved fast, running as fast as my legs could take me and jumping high into the air yet again. The thing was lowering Mikasa into its mouth, Eren was throwing a muffled tantrum in panic.
I had to hurry. Positioning myself, I brought my chakra-infused fist down onto the titans head. It buckled, then fell. Mikasa was released in the process, and tumbled down into the ground. I landed beside her with grace, helping her up.
Dusting herself casually, She peeked at me behind raven black bangs. Her gaze a bit unsteady. A small sigh escaped her lips. "Sakura..."
I shook my head and rose my hands above me. "I know I know, don't mention it." I said with a wolfish grin.
She lowered her gaze and slumped her shoulders. "How can you smile at a time like this..." she muttered lowly.
My eyes widened, and I glanced around me. There was a lot of blood, a lot of screaming. "I guess it's because...i'm used to it." I whispered back lowly. I was used to being in danger, to fighting. It was something I had to accept the day I became a genin. I knew then what I had to do.
"No matter how hard I try...Eren is always out of my reach." Mikasa whispered, a sad look falling over her face.
"Eren isn't the only one who matters!" I yelled.
She jumped, startled at my outburst.
"Everyone here is putting there life in danger! People are dying! Wake up Mikasa! Not everything is about him! Do you know how many lives are being taken?! What would have happened to Erwin if I wasn't here! Armless! Somebodies father, somebodies brother, somebodies son died today! And we cry over Eren? Who is nice and safe up there!" I had to stop to catch my breath.
Mikasa never looked so guilty, she averted her eyes, refusing to speak. "If you care so much about him...why don't you keep trying to save him...i'm going to save everyone!" I breathed out. God I sounded like a corny Naruto, but there was no denying there was some truth to my words. I left then, running a few feet away to gain some distance. The only thing that could whip out all these titans at once was katsuyu. It was dangerous as hell. But I had to try. "Get everyone out of here! Don't stay on the ground!" I shouted over to her.
She didn't respond, but she did fly away towards Levi. Good, everyone was going to have to leave for this to work. Would it even work? I feared turning into a titan in my attempt, which is why I didn't bother to summon earlier, but I was running out of choices. There was also the chance that Katsuyu could melt Reiner's legs, deeming him immobile. It would make things so much easier.
I stopped when I was sure I gained enough distance. This was it. I stared at my thumb with worry. I just had to try hard to not think of anything. That was hard! "Uugh." I blew out a huff of air in annoyance. Summoning and turning were the most terrible combination of skills to have.
My eyes scanned the battlegrounds wearily. Everyone was retreating. It was up to me now. I had to do this quick while Reiner was still struggling. Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath, clearing my thoughts of any images. I tried to picture Tsunade behind me, glaring holes into my back, ready to smack me if I dared laugh at the funny images that would run inside my mind in my early days of training. I couldn't allow myself to this time. I had to save everyone. Raising my thumb to my lip, I bit it, drawing enough blood needed for the summon.
"Summoning jutsu!" I shouted with determination. Smoke enveloped me in waves. I was unexpectedly rising. I was so focused on being still and clearing my mind that I was unprepared for the sudden violent movement. My knees buckled, I lost my footing. And I fell into what seemed like a timeless journey to oblivion.
...
"Hn.." I frowned, cringing at the harsh suns rays hitting my face. It was warm, the air was silent, only the sound of crickets and birds chirping sang across the place. My pink tongue darted out of my lips to lick them. They were dry but soft. Where was I anyway?
My eyelids fluttered open slowly, and I stared at rays of light flashing through the nooks and crannies of the forest green trees. The smell of pine and herbs filled my nostrils as I sat up slowly, groaning. Looking around, I noticed I was in a wide open space. Kunais and shuriken lay scattered on the floor. Wooden figurines were lined up on the end, an Orochimaru one stood in the middle, with a dozen kunais attached to its face. I gasped loudly. I knew where I was! I was back in my training ground! Picking myself up quickly, I stood shakily. My heart beat against my chest so loudly I could hear it.
Turning, I ran back to the trail I had taken, nearly tripping on my own feet. The silence was the same as the day I had come, even my footprints were still there on the slightly muddy ground.
I ran faster, panting heavily. My pink locks swirled around my face. This seemed too good to be true. I was totally confused.
After a few more turns, I stopped dead in my tracks. There it was, the gates to konoha were open. People walked about with luggage, the sly was blue, blanketing my home in the familiar calamity I was so prone to. I sucked in a deep breath and allowed my legs to carry me forward. The confusion on my face must have been obvious because people glanced as I walked by.
I sniffed slightly. The smell of ichiraku's ramen wafted around, maybe Naruto would be there? Excited, I ran at top speed, turning towards the shop I knew so well and nearly colliding with a body. Halting, I flinched but managed to hold back just in time.
"There you are, i've been looking all over for you!" Neji's voice rang out. Surprised, I looked up and deadpanned. Neji was...wearing Lee's jumpsuit?
"Hey...why are you wearing that thing." I muttered, making a face. He glared and huffed.
"You making fun of my attire? Come on you have work to do." He grabbed my wrist and began to drag me across the street.
"Let go!" I hissed, and swatted his hand away. I took the opportunity to run away. I wasn't going to work at a time like this, I needed to find Naruto and explain everything.
My eyes widened with realization and I halted to a stop slowly, standing in front of the ramen shop. What did I need to explain? That I slept in the forest and had a weird dream?
"Sakura chan!" A voice rang out through the noisy crowd of people.
My eyes widened, and I turned my head. Naruto was waving at me a distance away.
"Naruto?" I called lowly, starting to walk towards him. Yes it was him, I knew that yellow hair and that goofy grin from anywhere! "Naruto!" I yelled again, this time running.
"Hurry up Sakura chan!" He called out.
"Ah!" I ran faster, and threw myself in his arms, only to land on the hard dirt floor.
...
My eyes shot open with a jolt. Smoke had enveloped the sky so it was hard to see, and it was making my eyes watery. Getting up, I clutched my head with a small groan. I must have fallen somehow...but how? Then it came to me. That's right...I was attempting to summon katsuyu. Getting completely up, I swatted at the smoke and felt around, my hands making contact with slimy soft flesh. It worked! I couldn't believe it, I was expecting to turn again, but I had underestimated myself. I had to get back in the game, I couldn't have been out cold for long since the smoke hasn't completely healed. Pumping chakra into my feet, I shook off the lingering dizzy feeling that came with the fall and ran up Katsuyu. It wasn't like me to be clumsy, I needed some rest. Loss of sleep and stress were making me a bit sluggish.
I spent no more time in climbing my summon as I made my way to the top, the familiar blue stripes showing themselves to my line of vision.
"Katsuyu!" I yelled, making my way towards the top of the slugs head.
She shifted, long eyes fixated on me. "Sakura san?" There was confusion and surprise gracing her soft voice.
"I, I need you right now!" I shouted. Wind flew past me as I thought about my explanation. I had so much to tell her, now that I was successful in summoning her, I was tempted to just spill the beans of everything single little thing that happened up until now. But I had no time, it wasn't the right place and time to explain everything. Looking past her eyes, I could see that some of the titans were going towards the scouting legion. I couldn't see their faces, but I imagined they were confused and a little more than freaked out at Katsuyu's image. Katsuyu herself mirrored their reactions because of what she said next.
"Sakura san where are we? Tsunade sama has been looking for you!" She asked in an uncertain and slow voice. Her eyes were no longer fixated on me, but were rolled to the front. She was observing the titans, perhaps trying to figure what they were as well. But she didn't mention them.
I sighed. So they were looking for me. I wasn't surprised. Kneeling on one knee, I pressed my hand to her head. "No time to explain! Right now, I need you to shoot your acid on those big things over there!" I instructed, pointing at the horde of titans. Reiner was still struggling with them, but he was slowly gaining control.
"Yes!" Was katsuyu's reply.
...
"So...what the hell is that thing? Jean muttered under his breath. His beady eyes were wide as he gawked at the giant slug that had suddenly appeared a few feet away from the titans. He was not the only one who stared in confusion and slight fear. Everyone else were speechless and frozen right on their spots.
Levi himself had No words for the things appearance.
"That's way too big to be a slug nimrod! It must be some mutated titan, too far too tell anyway." Connie retorted.
"No way it is a slug! Remember she mentioned a slug back then!" Sasha countered, shivering at the thought. She hated bugs.
"Oh yeahhh." Jean muttered.
"All of you shut up, you're giving me a blasted headache." Levi growled out. As if the panicked muttering from all the other idiots that made up the police squad weren't enough, he had to hear his own team fighting over who was right.
"Whatever it is Sakura must have something to do with it, thats why she told me to get everyone away, just believe in her." Mikasa spoke out evenly.
It surprises Levi. The raven haired girl was the last person he expected to have confidence in the lighter haired girl. He knew they weren't too fond of each other, so when did that change? Whatever it was that caused them to put aside their differences and cooperate, it worked for Levi. He didn't have to waste time in making them get along now.
"Its all in her hands now." Erwin agreed. He was on one knee, holding his healed arm softly. He had to remember to thank Sakura again later.
"Hey its doing something!" Jean shouted while pointing towards the huge mystery slug. Everyone quieted down and stared in anticipation. Jean was right. The white blob was moving slightly, and a gushing noise filled the air as yellow liquid spewed out from its mouth like water from a waterhose. It was a ridiculously large quantity of it, and for a second, Levi feared it would reach them. It didn't, for it wasn't water at all. It was heavy and blanketed the ground around the titans and the titans themselves. With time, Levi realized what it was.
"Its acid." He spoke out.
"Seems like it." Mikasa exclaimed. She, like everyone else, were heavily distracted by the sight before them to say anything else.
The acid seemed to stick to the titans like glue, steam was rising everywhere as they began to melt. It was like the sight straight out of a horror movie. Melted pieces of limbs began falling as the titans swayed unsteadily, falling to the ground with a sickening thud. Reiner himself was sprayed, although he held Eren and even Ymir over his hand for protection. The armor was doing its job of fending off the acid, however, his feet were stuck in the mixture of acidic goo and melted bloody flesh. He was no longer fighting to fend off the titans, but to move. He was completely immobile as the rest of the titans collapsed into a pile of leftover titan parts.
"Now is our chance! We can use the gear to avoid the sludge and get to Reiner! If we can just get to his joints..." Connie was cut off by Armin's stern gaze. It seemed the blonde has a plan.
"No! Just trust me, even if we got Reiner, Bertholdt would just turn and defend him...I know a way that could make them both lose their guard." Armin spoke out, looking to Levi for permission.
Levi nodded. "Lead the way." He exclaimed.
...
I huffed, holding in my breath every now and then to avoid the stench of acid and blood. It was a gross sight, but it had worked. "Good job Katsuyu!" I praised the slug, who in turn praised me for achieving her summon. It wasn't my first time, but it was a first in doing it on the battlefield.
It seemed like the others were heading to Reiner again, leaving behind the horses and traveling on the gear instead to avoid stepping on the acid. Instructing Katsuyu to wait for me, I joined them in on the advance, jumping high into the air and hopping from head to head of remaining immobile titans to make it to Reiner's leg.
Levi was the first to encounter me, landing by my side to look me dead in the eye. "You're pretty amazing." He stated with a small smirk. "Lets hurry up and get the brat so I can clean myself."
I smiled at that. Even at a time like this, Levi could still be Levi. "Right!" I exclaimed, hopping upwards with ease. Reiner was too distracted by the acid below to notice me as I made my way towards his shoulder. I could see Eren's eyes widen when he spotted me, silently pleading for me to help. It was like watching a cornered rabbit. Just as I was going to go in to start a fight with Bertholdt, Mikasa and Armin reached me, wires sliding noisily as they landed above me.
"Armin!" I shouted. "Get back!" Although I didn't like to point it out, Armin was the weakest of the team, he wouldn't stand a chance against the taller man before him, who now, thanks to my shout, had turned around and noticed us.
Armin looked down at me with a knowing gaze. "Trust me." He whispered. I understood then. Armin may be the weakest but he was also the smartest of his team. He must have had a plan. After all, he knew the traiters better than anyone having interacted with Annie and the two the most. Even Mikasa was calm and not charging wildly like before. It seemed our talk had effected her. It was a good thing, it was always better to stop and think before going in blindly over a boy who wasn't in any real danger. I knew how she felt, but that didn't mean I was going to act like a young Naruto and lose my cool.
I sighed and nodded at Armin. The blonde looked at Bertholdt with a serious expression.
"Stay back...I'm warning you." The taller male threatened with an unsteady voice. He was taking a defensive stance.
"Bertholdt! Reiner! Would you really escape now and leave your comrade behind!?" Armin's sudden question made Bertholdt and Reiner pause. The armored titan ceased his struggling to stay still. Armin went on. "You haven't forgotten Annie have you? Shes down underground in the utopia of the legions headquarters, being tortured just this very moment, I know that your wounds can heal...but that doesn't take the pain away. If you could hear her screams...you would know! They're being brutal...cutting her up near death...chopping her tong-YOU BASTARDS! I SWEAR I WILL KILL YOU!"
I jumped in shock as Bertholdt cut Armin off. He stood up, wild eyed and teeth clenched. He looked like a feral animal. I stood in front of Armin defensively, ready to protect the blonde at all cost. Bertholdt unsheathed his sword and tried to side-step me. I raised my arm, ready to land a punch but was cut off by a sudden figure landing in front of me with the gear. At first I thought it was Levi, but I soon noticed blurry blonde hair as the figure slashed at Bertholdts chest. It was Erwin. Blood gushed out of the dark haired man's wound as he shrieked in pain and surprise. He staggered, then fell back, sending Eren falling as well.
"Eren!" Mikasa shouted.
Time seemed to land on a standstill as I acted quickly, diving headfirst into Eren and wrapping my slender arms around him.
"I have him!" I screamed, flipping to land on my feet as we fell.
"Retreat!" Erwin commanded loudly. Everyone wasted no time in leaving. No one stopped for Bertholdt, who was suspended in midair with his gear. Nor Ymir, who was busy trying to get away from the remaining acid. Christa was on her head, being handled by Connie.
I hopped in midair and landed on the safe side of the grass, putting Eren down to work on untying him. "Sakura! Give Eren to me, I can take him on my horse!" Mikasa's voice rang out as she stopped by on a horse.
"Right!" I replied. I had to go back to katsuyu after. Everyone else was already running away on their own horse, minus Levi who waited patiently beside me.
Just as I rose to take Eren's gag off, I jumped at the giant shadow that surrounded us. A titan flew like a bird up ahead, it was flung directly in front of the horses to cause a blockade. I instinctively ducked along with Mikasa as it landed with a rumbling quake in front of us.
"He's throwing the titans!" Levi shouted. I looked back to see that Reiner has ceased struggling to move and had instead, taken interest in grabbing the half melted titans and flinging them at us.
"You guys go ahead! I'll take care of him and catch up later!" I hissed in frustration.
"Absolutely not." Levy said flatly.
I turned to stare at him evenly. Seriously? Was he going to start? I was NOT in the mood for this.
I was about to protest when Eren's quiet whisper stopped me. It was small and eerie.
"Mikasa."
I turned to look at him with a raised eyebrow and saw wide blue eyes starting ahead, frozen in disbelief. I followed his gaze to find an abnormally tall titan coming calmly towards us, with a wide chessure cat grin and beady eyes. Its long hair brushed against its shoulders as it walked. It was the creepiest thing I had ever seen...and Mikasa and Eren gaped at it as if it were familiar. Just what was so special about this titan?
