Chapter 24

It had been two months since Finn and Quinn's secret kiss and everything seemed to be working out well. Sam and Quinn had broken up when Quinn told Sam she was still in love with Puck. Finn and Rachel had worked out all of their problems and now trusted, or at least seemed to trust, each other. It was regionals and everyone was excited.

Rachel was still upset that it was her fault they lost sectionals but Blaine and Sam teamed up and caught the warblers cheating so the New Directions still got to participate at regionals. They had the set list all figured out and everyone besides Rachel was pretty happy. The first song was Tina's solo and everyone in the audience loved her beautiful voice.

She took a bow as all of the Troubletones ran onstage and started singing the next song. Everyone else stood backstage clapping and smiling.

They all smiled and everyone backed up besides Quinn. The boys joined the stage with Rachel and began singing the next song, they're group number.

Finn:

What happened to those days, they seem so hard to find.
I try and reach or you, but you just close your mind.
What ever happened to our love? I wish I understood.
It used to be so nice, it used to be so good.

New Directions:

Quinn:

You seem so far away, though you are standing near.
You made me feel alive, but something died of fear.

Puck and Rachel:

What ever happened to our love? I wish I understood.
What happened to our love, it used to be so good.

New Directions:

They won, of course, and got the joy of bragging to the other teams. Although most of them were pretty modest, Rachel did call one of her ex-friends from Oral Intensity and yell it into her phone. Finn and Quinn never told anyone about that one kiss, but somehow Rachel could just feel it. And there was always tension between Quinn and Finn after that kiss. Nobody really knew why they wouldn't speak to each other at school. Another thing that nobody knew was that they would Facebook message all night almost every night.

Rachel and Sam never spoke anymore either. They felt like they were being rude and insensitive, especially when Finn got jealous. Puck started to try and win Quinn over and eventually he did and they began having a secret relationship she only told Finn about. And all of the drama finally stopped for a while.

Rachel was about six months pregnant and taking advice from Quinn for the first time. Santana and Rachel found a way to be friends again without all of the drama. Tina and Kurt were always there for her, probably more so than anyone else besides Finn.

Carole Hummel-Hudson was walking through the house and outside to check and see if the rain had stopped and it had, it was about as sunny as it could get for an early March afternoon in Lima, Ohio. Something stopped her before she turned back to the kitchen. Finn and Rachel were lying on the hammock, Rachel with her eyes shut and Finn looking out into the yard at a few ducks that were waddling through. Curiously, Carole opened the window to see if she could hear what Finn was saying. "I love you so much, Rachel." He whispered, kissing her head. "So, so much."

"I love you, too," Rachel whispered back. "It's all gonna be okay."

"Yeah it is," Finn nodded and smiled as Rachel dozed off to sleep.

So this was kind of a time filler. I needed a chapter like this to let everyone know where we are in the story and how close it is to the end. Rachel is six months pregnant here and it is the beginning of March so between March and June is when the real drama (Quinn still wanting to go to Yale, Rachel's NYADA audition, Nationals, prom) is going to happen. Next chapter will probably be a lot of Quinn and Finn Facebook messaging and maybe Quinn will decide to go to Yale still. Thanks for reading, please review or PM :)
