Chapter 28

Finn walked down the hall to Rachel's locker and when she wasn't there, he wrote a note for her to meet him at his house after school. She was due in a few weeks and Finn knew he needed to make everything perfect between them again before she left to go to New York. He wanted to stay in her life whether they stayed together or not. He wanted to stay together but he wasn't sure it was the best thing for them.

Rachel sighed when she saw the note taped to her locker. She grabbed her bag and walked over to Finn's house, knocking lightly on the door when she got there.

"Hey Rach," Finn smiled nervously when he opened the door. What was wrong with him? He was never usually nervous around Rachel. "I really need to talk to you about something."

"Don't even say it, I know what you're doing," Rachel sighed and walked inside, sitting on the couch.

"I wanted to apologize. I know I've been a huge jerk and I've done some really bad things to you." He sat next to her and took her hand. "I love you and I don't love Quinn that way. I thought I was still in love with her because you and I never spent any real time together and Quinn was just everywhere. So I've tried really hard and I'm completely over her now. I've never been so in love with you. We're going to be okay now, I promise," he smiled weakly and squeezed her hand.

"I don't believe you," Rachel shrugged.

"Seriously?"

"Seriously," she nodded. "I love you and I honestly really want that to be true but I don't trust her and I don't think you're being honest with me."

"I don't want to be with her; she cheated on me and used me and she never really loved me like I know you do," he sighed. "And I love our baby. I want to be a good father and I want to be a good husband. I really, really love you. Please forgive me?"

She sat there in silence for a minute before nodding slightly and kissing him on the cheek. "I love you."

"I love you, too," he smiled and reached his arms out for a hug.

Rachel grinned and hugged him back. "Finn, what about Connecticut? And my NYADA audition? How am I going to get into an arts school if I'm nine months pregnant for my audition?"

"Hey, look at me," Finn looked at her and smiled. "You can do this. If they don't accept you because you're pregnant than that school doesn't deserve to have you. I know you're going to be a big Broadway star one day as much as I know that tomorrow is the first day of June."

Rachel frowned. "Tomorrow is May 31st."

"Then I know you're going to be a big Broadway star one day as much as I know that tomorrow is going to be the last day of May," Finn chuckled and wrapped his arm around her. "We can do this. We'll make Connecticut work. If you don't get into NYADA you'll still go to New York and be a star. And if you don't get into NYADA, we'll still work the long distance thing work."

"I know we will," Rachel nodded. "Thank you."

"Where am I supposed to find a maternity prom dress?" Rachel asked, frowning as she looked in the mirror.

"You're going to prom?" Tina asked, playing a game on her phone as she sat on Rachel's bed.

"Of course, why wouldn't I?"

"Well prom is the week after your NYADA audition which means it's only two days after you're supposed to have Sophia. So how do you plan on getting to prom when you'll most likely be in the hospital?" Tina sighed and put her phone down.

"Well I was kind of hoping I would have her late," Rachel sighed. "What am I gonna do?"

"Not go to prom?"

"But doesn't Finn want to go to prom?" Tina asked.

"Yeah, I guess he can go by himself then," Rachel shrugged. "He'll figure it out. Who are you going with?"

"My boyfriend…"

"But I thought…" Rachel started. "I thought you and Mike broke up?"

"We did, I'm going with my boyfriend. Artie is my boyfriend now," Tina smiled widely. "I've always loved Artie and I think we're going to be really great together again."

"I'm so happy for you," Rachel smiled. "So who is Quinn going with?"

"Probably Sam," Tina shrugged. "I mean they're dating, right?"

"Yeah but she's cheated on him with Finn and Puck," Rachel said. "Whatever, that's her problem, not ours."

"Hey Quinn," Rachel smiled when she saw Quinn in the hall.

Quinn smiled sarcastically and turned to face her. "Hi, Rachel," she held her grin. "I'm sure you're in a great mood this morning."

"I was going to apologize, Quinn. You're not dumb," Rachel said. "I'm really sorry. I just wanted you to know how I felt. Finn is my boyfriend and I'm kind of possessive of him. He deserves to be happy and so do you so I'm being the bigger person and apologizing. But you should know that Finn is mine and we're never breaking up. He loves me and I love him and we love our baby."

"If that's your idea of an apology…" Before Quinn could say anything else, Rachel had turned around and walked away.

"Hey Quinn," Puck smiled as he walked over to her. "I have something to tell you."

Sam frowned as he walked over to Quinn and saw Puck. "Um…I'll come back," he glared at Puck and smiled at Quinn. "I just wanted to talk to you about prom."

Quinn's smile fell when he mentioned prom. "I can't go to prom with you, Sam."

"But you're my girlfriend…"

"And I cheated on you," Quinn shrugged and looked between Puck and Sam. "I'm not going to prom with you; I'm going to prom with him," she gestured to Puck and smiled. "Because I love him and it's my senior prom. I'm sorry, Sam. You're a great guy but I can't go to prom with you. I think you should ask Mercedes or someone instead."

Sam sighed and walked away, clearly embarrassed. "That really took guts, Q. I'm proud of you. I'm also proud that Sam didn't punch me in the face," Puck chuckled.

"I want to do something for you, just to prove how much I love you," Quinn smiled and pulled Puck into a kiss, holding the back of his neck. People in the hall stopped and stared, confused and shocked Quinn had dumped Sam for the school bad boy. Quinn was smiling which just proved everything. She and Puck might not have had a normal relationship, but they definitely knew they were soul mates.

Sorry it took me so long to update, I've been having really bad writer's block with this story. I have the next chapters figured out already so I'm hoping to finish up within the next few days :) Thanks for reading and please review or PM :D
