Chapter 10 - A home

That night the celebration ended only in the morning. The people left the place to get some rest as they were going to work later. Itachi brought Sakura home, though not hers. When they arrived at the Uchiha mansion the watch showed 1 am. He brought her inside, she was still sleeping in his arms. As he looked at her he wanted to confort her, to soothe her pain away. He knew she hurt, and a lot. Laying her on the bed careful as to not wake her up he kept watching her overnight like a hawk, thinking. Everything she went through, he wanted her to forget and start over again.

Itachi looked around his room into darkness. He saw her move a little but she didn't wake up. He fell was having a nightmare. As always the same nightmare, where Sasuke would kill her sister and baby. She was whispering names and Itachi heard her and woke up. Sakura was sweating while sleep-talking. The nightmare was haunting her and after a while she woke up in shock and screaming. "NO !"

"Sh...Sakura...calm down, it was just a nightmare." Sakura turned her head to see where the voice came from. She tried to analize her surroundings. If it wasn't her home, where was she? Then she figured out that the one who spoke was Itachi. She looked at him.

"What am I doing here?" she was scared.

"You don't have to be afraid of me, Sakura. I'm here now." he whispered to her soothing words. "You fell asleep in the forest and I brought you here. Everyone knows you're here so you don't have to worry about this." he said with a husky voice.

"Why did you bring me here? You could have taken me home." said Sakura wanted to get up but Itachi stopped her.

"But you are home." Sakura was shocked at what he said. She looked at him frozen and speechless.

"I'm sorry." she whispered to him, remembering that he finally knew the truth.

"I already said It was not your fault Sakura. Stop blaming yourself."

"I'm scared." Sakura got a shiver through her spine. "I cannot stay here. Not where Sasuke is at least." Sakura watched him in the eyes noticing the he understood.

"There's nothing to be scared off. You know that he wouldn't do anything to you. I won't let anyone do anything to you." Itachi conforted her.

"Itachi..." she hugged him slowly. "I'm glad you're here." she whispered with a low voice.

"Me too." he replied.

After a while they fell asleep holding each other. The next day the rays of the sun woke Itachi up. He usually was a light sleeper and would wake up early but now he figured that it was late, and he reached with his hand above the bed only to see that he was alone. Then he froze. She left. She left without saying anything to him.

"Is this what she wants?" he sat on his bed and kept thinking if he did anything wrong. About 10 minutes passed as he kept thinking when the door to the bathroom in his room opened and revealed a naked, wet Sakura with a towel around her bust and one around her hair. Itachi sighed in relief when he saw her. Sakura, on the other hand, when she saw that Itachi was awake before she could finish her shower and get dressed, she blushed but didn't turn her face away from him.

"I saw that you wouldn't wake up soon and felt free to use your bathroom. I hope that is not a problem." she said watching him in the eyes.

"And I see that you've decided to seduce me." he replied with a smirk.

"N-No! It's not like that. I didn't have time yesterday to shower so..." Itachi could only think to himself "Is she still shy with me after all that happened?"

Seeing that he was watching her closely, Sakura tried to cover with the lower towel her left thigh. She didn't want him to see her scars. Itachi figured her out and went towards her. "Don't."

"But..."

"You don't have to hide from me Sakura. You're beautiful." and she really was. And tempting. He wanted to eat her right then and there. But shoved the thought at the back of his mind. He brought a shirt of his and gave it to her. "You can use it until your clothes will dry."

"T-Thank you." she took the shirt and wanted to go into the bathroom when he caught her wrist. "There's no need to change there. You can do it here." Sakura knew that he wouldn't let her go away. Itachi turned around to let her change, he didn't want to make her uncomfortable. Sakura left the towel drop onto the clean floor and dried her hair. After a while she looked at Itachi. He was trully a man, she could observe. His muscles could be seen through his black shirt and she wanted to touch him. Withough realising that she didn't have her towel anymore, she went towards him and hugged him from behind. Itachi tensed instantly when he felt her.

"I've wanted to do this for a long time. You trully are not as cold as they think you are." she whispered to him.

"Sakura..."

"Don't. Let me stay like this for a bit more."

"Sakura, you're wet." Hearing him say these words she stepped back and blushed. Itachi turned around, and when she noticed he was looking at her she wanted to run inside the bathroom. Itachi, instead, didn't let her and pulled her in a warm embrace.

"You don't need to hide yourself. Don't hide from me ever again." he whispered in her ear. Sakura stretched her arms and hugged him too. She liked that pose with him. After a while Itachi stepped back and put a hand on her belly. He felt the scar on it.

"I love you, Itachi." he heard her say in a low husky voice. Itachi looked at her and caressed her right-red cheek. "I love you too. Sakura." and finally she knew it. He loved her too. She knew he wouldn't leave her alone from now, that he would always stay with her.

"By the way. When next time something happens between the two of us, don't you use that memory pill of yours." he smirked at her and she smiled at him. They were going to be happy. Finally.
