Goodbye Skyangle my friend
Note Night and Sky graduate from school in Ponyville but it`s not like a high school or university one.
(7 years later)
Nightwing and Skyangle are best friends in all of Equestria! But Night recently notices that Skyangle was a bite distant from him. Night wanted to know before they were leaving the ponyville`s academy.
"Hey! Night it`s time for school!" said Light as she walk in his room
"Sis? What are you doing here?" ask Night as he stood up from his bed "Aren`t you suppose to be with Bright?"
"Yea but Bright at Canterlot for some work and I didn`t want to stay home alone so mom said I could stay here for the mean time" said Light as she watch him brush his mane
"Sis is it nice to be in love?" ask Night
"Why are you asking that question all of a sudden?" ask Light as she look at him with surprise
"Just wondering that`s all" said Night
"Well it`s a wonderful thing to be in love with a pony" said Light as she closed her eyes while thinking of her coltfriend "You feel joy and warmth with them"
"Wow sis!" said Night
"Hope that answered your question" said Light as she walk out of her brother`s room
"It did" said Night
After breakfast Night headed to school and saw Skyangle in her seat reading a Daring Do book.
"Hey! Skyangle" said Night as he walk towards her
"Oh! Hey Night" said Skyangle as she didn`t remove her eyes from her book
"Is that the newest Daring do?" ask Night as he sat down on the desk that was ahead of her`s
"It is" said Skyanlge while still reading
"Skyangle is something the matter?" ask Night
"No" said Skyangle
"There is something!" insisted Night as he push the book down with his hoof
"I SAID NO!" shouted Skyangle as she took her book back "Now leave me alone"
"Skyangle" said Night as he watch her leave the classroom
For the rest of the day Skyangle ignored Night, he tried to talk to her but was just ignored. He sadly went home and thought why of all of a sudden she decided to ignore him.
"Welcome home son" said Flash as he carried plates in his hooves
"Hey dad" said Night as he drop his bag into the floor
"Son is there something the matter?" ask Flash as he place the plates down
"Hum well there is something" said Night as he sat down
"Tell me all about it" said Flash as he also sat down
"Skyangle is mad at me for some reason" explain Night
"Maybe she going though 'that phase'!" said Twilight as she sat beside her husband
"Phase?!" said Night as he didn`t understood what his mother what`s talking about
"You see Night every foal goes into a phase to become a mare or stallion...!" explain Twilight when she was interrupted
"MOM! She not going into some phase she the same as before" said Night as he thought that he didn`t want to her about this phase
"Well Son there is something on her mind" said Flash "Did you do something to upset her?"
"No not that I know about" said Night as he thought about it for a moment
"Then it`s something on her personnel life" said Flash as he stood up "Don`t worry son she`ll tell you when she ready to do so. You can`t push a mare on personnel matters you just have to wait"
"Your father right she tell you one day" said Twilight as she also stood up "Now call your sister and come for diner"
For the next weeks until graduation, Night did as his parents said he waited for Skyangle to tell him and not rush it. Two days before graduation Night was heading to class when he heard somepony calling him.
"Skyangle" said Night as he saw her approach him
"Night I need to tell you something" said Skyangle as she mentally prepared herself
"What is it?" ask Night
"The reason that I was avoiding you is that I`m moving away" said Skyangle as she saw Night`s reaction to the news
"What?!" shouted Night as he couldn`t believe his ears "WHY?!"
"My parents are doing an exchange with another aerial team outside of Equestria" explain Skyangle
"How long?!" ask Night
"I don`t know it depends on the contract that they sign it could be a couple of months or years" said Skyangle as she lowered her eyes at him
"You can`t leave! You're my best friend! My only friend! You know I can`t make friends as easily as you or my mother!" said Night as he rub his mane
"I`m sorry Nightwing" said Skyangle as she walk away from him "We`re leaving after graduation"
"Skyangle" said Night as he still couldn`t believe what he just heard
Nightwing race back home without going to his classes! He was so focus on getting home that he didn`t realize he was about to hit a pony.
"I`m...I`m...sorry!" said Night as he flew back into the air
"It`s alright" said white coated unicorn filly, with blue eyes, purple mane and a light blue moon crescent with a quill for a cutie mark who seems to be around the same age as Night.
At home Twilight was about to leave the house with her husband when they saw Night fly in the house.
"Night?!" said Twilight and Flash in shock
"Son?! Why are you here your suppose to be at school?" said Flash
"Come on dear" said Twilight as she pulled on her husband`s hoof
In Night`s room he was pasting around in a circle like his mother would and still do when she was worried.
"She can`t leave! She can`t leave!" repeated Night while pasting a role in his floor
"Night can we come in?" ask Twilight as she opened the door slightly
"Son what the matter?" ask Flash as he push the door completely opened
"SHE LEAVING!" shouted Night as he rapid his past
"Skyangle" said Twilight as she could easily tell
"She going to leave Equestria! If it was just Ponyville I could still see her" said Night
"I see" said Flash
"Sweetie please stop pasting for a moment" said Twilight as she used her magic to stop her son from making a complete hole in her floor "Nightwing this something normal in ponies lives"
"But why her?!" shouted Night
"Night we heard about this exchange and you should know that Skyangle parents didn`t chose to be part of it. The aerial team that they going to requested and insisted for them to be apart" explain Twilight
"It`s not fair why didn`t they says no?!" ask Night as he sat down
"We don`t know why if they said yes it must have been for a good reason" said Flash as he put his hoof on his son`s head
"Honey you need to accpet that you will met many friends in your life and some will always be there for you. Where other`s won`t and there going to be reasons why you lose contact, fights, family problems or moving away" explain Twilight
"Mom you know I can`t make friends as easily as you can" said Night as his face showed great sadness "You made five friends in one day"
"I know but it`s something that everypony can do you just need to believe in yourself" said Twilight
"We`re leave you for a bit" said Flash as he headed towards the door with his wife
Night spent the rest of the night thinking about his parents words, two days later was the big day. Today was graduation day! Skyangle tried to talk to him but now it was his turn to ignore her.
"I`m all proud of you all!" said Cheerlie as she stood from a stage with the 'graduates' in front "From here on out your new life will begin! Some of you will be doctor, bakers, athletes, continue in your studies or be part of the royal guards"
"Night I`m sorry I didn`t tell you sooner" whispered Skyangle
"Skyangle" said Night as he was the first time he spoke to her since two days "I`m mad at you because you didn`t trust me and tell me about it. If only you told me sooner I could be mentally more prepare for after you leave"
"I`m sorry Night I never meant to hurt you I didn`t know how to tell you" said Skyangle as she finally look into Night`s eyes since weeks
"Skyangle your my very first friend I ever had and to see your leave all of a sudden" said Night as he broke his gaze at her
"I know you were my first friend too" said Skyangle "I would love to see you before I leave"
"I would like it too" said Night as he gave her a small smile
Nightwing, Skyangle and all they fellow student all got their diplomas from Ponyville`s school. The next day Night flew to Skyangle house as he arrived he saw the moving ponies.
"Night!" as he heard Skyangle call him
"Skyangle" answered Night as he flew towards her "Big day"
"Yea it is" said Skyangle as she sadly look away
"You know it`s funny" said Night as he gave a little giggle
"What`s funny?" ask Skyangle
"I thought that we were going to be friends forever or maybe something more" said Night as he gave another giggle
Skyangle stared at him with little blush and thought "Something more!" to herself
"Skyangle its time to go!" shouted Spitfire
"It`s time" said Skyangle as she hug Night
"I know" said Night as he wrap his hoof around her
"Goodbye Night I`ll miss very much" said Skyangle
"Goodbye Skyangle my friend" said Night "I`ll miss you too"
"Night I got you something" said Skyangle as she wet though her saddle
"What is it?" ask Night
"Here" said Skyangle as she pulled out a golden heart shape necklace
"That`s for me" said Night as he took the necklace in his hooves
"It is it`s something to remember me by" said Skyangle as she took it in her hooves and put it around his neck
"Thank you Skyangle but I`m never going to forget you" said Night as he place his hoof on the heart
Night watch as Skyangle and her family flew feather and feather away from him after that she was long gone. Night stay at his old friend`s house for couple more hours and thought about all the time he and Skyangle spent.
"I hope I get to see you again" said Night as he held his necklace and stared at the night stars
