Two months later Night and his friend Strong graduate from the royal guard's academy. And it was his first day on the job! Night stood in front of the royal guards change room and look at his new armor.

"I can`t believe this is happing!" said Night as he look at his new blue armor

"Believe it!" said Strong as he walk in with his Canterlot royal guard armor "Today we are royal guards"

"This armor seems a bit lose" said Night as he moved his armor

"Ah! You`ll grow into it" said Strong as he walk out "See you later Night"

"Bye" said Night as he place his helmet on his head

Night walk out of the change room and saw that Crescent was waiting for him

"Hey Night" said Crescent as she walk towards him with red cheeks

"Crescent?!" said Night as he walk toward her "What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to see you on your first day" said Crescent

"Really?!" said Night

"You look handsome in your new armor" said Crescent as she became redder

Night blush at the comment "Thank you"

"Night I been meaning on telling you that I...!" said Crescent when they suddenly heard trumpets

Night and Crescent look around and saw four pony flying down in front of them

"Her highness Queen Lightning!" said one of the Pegasus

"Hello your highness" said Crescent and she and Night bowed

"Please raise" said Lightning as she folded her wings "You look good in your armor"

"Thank you, Lightning" said Night as he blush at the comment

"Night today you will be will be assigned escort" said Lightning

"Alright" said Night as he walk towards her "Bye Crescent" as he open his wings

"Bye Night" said Crescent

While Night was flying with the other guards he was wondering why he wasn`t informed on where there were going.

"Hum excuse me" said Night

"Yes newbie?" ask one of the guards

"Where are we going?" ask Night

"You don`t ask! You do what you are told!" said the guard as he gave him a dirty look

"Guard! He needs to learn our ways so he needs to ask questions" said Lightning as she glances at him

"Yes of course! My apologies" said the guard

"We`re going to an Wonderbolts event in Manehatten" said Lightning

"Wonderbolts!" said Night "Skyangle? Are you going to be here" as he thought about her

"We`re here!" as he heard a guard shout

Night quickly scanned the area and saw many ponies and Wonderbolts but didn`t see Skyangle.

"Maybe she not here? I don`t even see Spitfire?" whispered Night

"HEY! Night!" shouted a fellow guard

"Yes sir!" said Night as he stared at him

"Pay more attention! Your job is to protect the royals NOT to observe the show" said the guard as he scolded him "You would have known this if you weren`t a royal or a citizen of the kingdom!"

"Yes sir" said Night as he sadly return to his duty

One hour later Night and the other guards escorted Lightning to Manhattan's mayor

"Night go stand guard" said one of the guards

"Yes sir" said Night

Night went to his position and stood guard

"This is nice I guess?! Nopony can recognize me with my armor" said Night as he watch the many ponies walking by him

"Hey! Newbie!" shouted a guard as he walk out

"Yes sir!" said Night

"You need to scan the area for danger" said the guard

"Yes sir" said Night as he open his wings and flew off

While Night was scanning the area for possible dangers he saw a pony who seems to have problems with their wing.

"Do you need help?" ask Night as he landed behind them

"No, no! I'm just fine" said the pony as they turn around

Night stare at them in complete shock as well as the pony did the same

"Is, is, is it really you?!" said Night as he rub his eyes

"It is" said the pony

"It's been a long time" said Night "Skyangle"

"It as Night" said Skyangle as she smile at him

"I've miss you a lot" said Night as he removed his helmet

"You've finally became a guard" said Skyangle as she pick up his helmet

"I did! And I all owe it to Lightning for giving me a chance" said Night "You live in Manhattan now"

"Yup just for another day" said Skyangle as she return his helmet

"You're going to move" ask Night as he place his helmet once more

"I am to Ponyville" said Skyangle as she smile at him

Night smile the biggest smile in his life "You are! That's great!"

"It is! I miss Ponyville a lot and you!" said Skyangle as she blush slightly

"I miss you too! When I was in training I kept looking at the necklace you got me!" said Night as he revealed his necklace from his armor "It always reminded me of you"

Skyangle blush at the comment "Thank you"

"I need to go or ill get into trouble" said Night as he open his wings

"Where did you get the ring wing?" ask Skyangle

"A find got it for me a very good friend" said Night as he leap into the air

"Mare or stallion?" ask Skyangle

"Mare" said Night as he flew off

"Mare….!" Said Skyangle with a worried tone

Three days later Night managed to ask Lightning and Snow to get the day off and spend it with Skyangle

"So Skyangle is going to stay here for good?" ask Crescent as she walk with him

"I think so" said Night

"That good" said Crescent with a slight disappointed tone

"Hey! Nighty!" as they heard Skyangle voice

"Nighty?" said Crescent as she look at him

"She use to call me that" whispered Night as he waved at Skyangle

"I see" said Crescent as she look away

"Hey Skyangle is nice to see you again" said Night as he gave her a hug

"Wow Night! Did you get taller?" ask Skyangle as she look at him "And bigger!" as she push her hoof in his arm "Uh! I like muscles! Not like fat"

Night gave a little chuckle "Training will do that" as he walk towards Crescent "Skyangle I would like you to meet Crescent Quill"

"Nice to meet you" said Crescent as she force a smile and extended her hoof

"Same here" said Skyangle as she did the same

"Crescent I hope you don't mind but I would like to spend the day with Skyangle?" ask Night

"No, no! It's okay" said Crescent as she grinned her teeth

"Thanks see you later" said Night as he hug her

"Come on Night!" said Skyangle as she pulled him away

"That witch!" said Crescent as she walk away

"You know Night I thought that I would be able to find friends who were just like you but I realize that I couldn't" said Skyangle

"And I never thought that I could find another friend" said Night "You know I wasn't as good on making friends like you"

"I don't understand why? You are a nice stallion much nicer than any other stallions I met" said Skyangle as her mind was over flowing "You've gotten cuter too, stronger and taller" as she turn her head to hide her blush

"Skyangle" said Night

"Yes!" said Skyangle as she woke up into reality

"What have been doing all these years?" ask Night

"Well after we left I've been training a lot well I try to since my parents moved a lot but I still manage. I did join the Wonderbolts academy and was the top of my class" said Skyangle

"You became a Wonderbolts?" ask Night

"I did for a few years but my career was cut short because I injured my wing" said Skyangle as she extended one of her wings

"Can you still fly?!" ask Night with a worried tone

"I can but not like before" said Skyangle as she sadly look at the ground

"Don't tell me?!" said Night as he stop and held her in his hooves

"I can no longer be a Wonderbolt" said Skyangle as she shed a few tears

"Skyangle I'm so sorry" said Night as he hug her

While Night and Skyangle embrace each other they didn't notice that Crescent saw them from her house's window.

"Night" said Crescent as she stare tenderly at him "I need to tell him how I feel" as she put her hoof onto her heart "and get rid of that WITCH!"
