Skyangle to the rescue! Or Crescent?
Three days pass and Night as still haven`t return from his mission and Twilight, Flash, Skyangle and Crescent were getting very worried. They all went to see his commanding officer to know more about it.
"Excuse me?" ask Twilight
"Highness!" said the office as he bowed
"Have you heard about our son? Prince Nightwing of Canterlot?" ask Twilight
"You`ll have to see Queen Lightning" said the office as he bowed and walk away
"That can`t be good" said Skyangle in a worried tone
"Flash!" said Twilight as she worriedly look at him
"It`s going to be okay Twilight" re-comfort Flash
Twilight, Flash, Skyangle and Crescent all headed to the throne room to see that Lightning was surprise to see them.
"What are you all doing here?!" ask Lightning with worried tone
"Our son was suppose to return two night ago" said Twilight
"Lightning do you know anything?" ask Flash
"I didn`t want to tell you this until we were sure" said Lightning as she shamefully look away
"What is it?" ask Skyangle
"Night is M.I.A" said Lightning as she look at their reactions "The griffin`s king never got the package and we didn`t get any word from him"
"NO!" shouted Twilight as she was hugged by Flash
"Do...do...do you any ideas where?!" demanded Crescent
"We do but we will save him we can`t share this information" said Lightning
"How can you save him when it was your fault! You sent him!" shouted Twilight
"Twilight!" shouted Flash "Did you forget that we were the ones who agreed!"
"Flash! What did we do?!" demanded Twilight
"Come on Twilight" said Flash as he bought her away with his wings
Skyangle and Crescent both waited for Twilight and Flash to leave
"Lightning please tell us?!" pleaded Crescent
"I can`t" said Lightning as she motioned her guards
"Why?!" ask Skyangle as she was held by a guards
"Because I know that if I tell you both of you will go and search for him" explain Lightning "And I`m sorry but you have to go"
"But...!" said Crescent when she was lifted by the royal guards "Okay"
"This is not over!" shouted Skyangle while being drag away
The royal guards threw out Crescent and Skyangle
"Please do not return until Queen Lightning request you" said the guard as he closed the door
Meanwhile in the griffin`s rebels hideout, Night awoke to see that he was in a cave with most of his armor strip.
"Aw! My head" said Night as he notice that he was tried up "What the meaning of this?!"
"Where did you hid the package?" ask a griffin
"Like I`ll ever tell you!" said Night
One of the griffins hit him across the face
"Tell us or we`ll continue this until you die" said the griffin
"I`ll never betray my kind or home to tell you were the package is" said Night as he spit up some blood
"Very well" said the griffin as he motion to another
Two griffins approach Night and started hitting him
Back out Cloud Kingdom Skyangle and Crescent were thinking of a way to find out what Lightning knew.
"What do we do?" ask Crescent as she watch Skyangle walk around in circles
"I don`t know?!" said Skyangle "Don`t you unicorns know like a mind control spell?!"
"No we don`t! One it takes many years of study, two it`s dark magic and three only alicorns can use it! Anymore question feather brain?!" said Crescent as she stared at her
Skyangle grinned her teeth "DON`T PUSH IT! Egg head!"
"ANYWAYS! What do we do?" ask Crescent as she force a smile
"I know! Do you know transformations spells?" ask Skyangle
"Yea I do why?" ask Crescent as she stare at her
"Okay! I`ll take one of the armors and you transform me into a guard" explain Skyangle
"That a good idea! Who knew?" said Crescent
"I wouldn`t even save you if you fell thru the clouds" said Skyangle as she walk towards the supply room
The griffins spent two hours of interrogation and physical abuse to get their answer
"Did you tell where the package is?" ask the head griffin
"No! He stubborn for a pony" said a griffin
"Not just a pony! A pegasusi of Equestria and royal guard of Cloud Kingdom!" said Night with his beaten and bloody face
"Shut up!" shouted a griffin as he hit him in the stomach
"Leave us alone for a while" said the head griffin
Skyangle return with the extra large armor and she place it on
"You couldn`t get something smaller?" ask Crescent as she look at the strange Pegasus
"Geez! That would be a wonderful idea! If only there WAS a smaller armor!" shouted Skyangle as she push the helmet up "Just do the spell!"
"I`m not doing this for YOU! Just for Night" said Crescent as she activated her horn
Skyangle was surrounded by a white ribbon and completely covered as the ribbon disappeared, Skyangle was now a white coated stallion.
"Wow!" said Skyangle in a deep stallion voice
"Now go in there and find out where he is?" said Crescent
"Okay! You bossy unicorn!" said Skyangle as she walk towards the door
The guards at the door look at Skyangle and opened the door she walk in the throne room. And to her luck they were just at the part of the missing guard.
"As you all know a fellow guard as disappear on a mission and we have receive news about his last location" said Lightning unknown to her that Skyangle was there
"He was last seen near the city boarder" said captain Cloud "If words get out of his disappearance ponies might not trust the royals anymore. And revolution will break out and we wouldn`t be able to stop it"
"So that why we must save Nightwing no matter what! For his family and the three kingdoms" said Lightning
"We received word from the griffin king that it might be rebels" said captain Cloud "So the plan is find them, save our fellow guard and capture or must eliminate the enemy!"
"Yes sir!" shouted the guards as they saluted
Skyangle slowly back away from the meeting when she accidentally hit another guard.
"Hey! What are you doing?!" demanded the guard
"Just leaving to get started!" said Skyangle as she nervously moved her eyes
"Really?! Hey I never saw you before?" said the guard as he rub his chin "Are you new?"
"Oh! Yea totally just came out of the academy" said Skyangle
"Really? If you did just came out of the academy then you should know that recruits are not suppose to be HERE!" shouted the guard as he removed her helmet "INTRUDER!"
All the guards turn around and face Skyangle
"CAPTURE HIM! THEY HEARD ABOUT OUR PLANS!" shouted captain Cloud as he his wings were open
"Oh ponyfeathers" said Skyangle as she dash out of there
"DON`T KILL THEM!" as she heard Lightning shout
Skyangle flew as fast as she could or how fast her wings were able to flap. Incredibly she managed to escape the castle and drag Crescent with her.
"What are you doing?!" demanded Crescent
"Just tell me if you want to be capture?! Because I`ll gladly leave you behind" said Skyangle as she painfully force herself
Crescent look at the big wave of royal guards chasing them "You know what I`ll help you!" as she fried a spell to give them a boost
The leader of the rebels sat in front of the beaten Night
"You want to leave right?" ask the griffin
"What do you think?!" demanded Night
"Tell us where it is or die?! It`s not a hard choice you know?" said the griffin
"I`ll never tell you" said Night
"Too bad very bad" said the griffin as he shake his head "I know! How about we attack you hometown!"
"What!" said Night in shock
"What was it again...let me think...Ponyville was it" said the griffin as he smiled at him
Night tried not to react or he`ll give his hometown out "Wrong" as he stared with a straight face
"Really?" said the griffin as he stood up "Well there many cities in Equestria Manhattan, Appaloosa, Los Pegasus, Cloudsdale and of course Ponyville. But how fond are you with Cloud Kingdom and its 3 million citizens?"
"You wouldn`t dare!" shouted Night "The Kingdom only return a few years ago!"
"I don`t care to me they just ponies" said the griffin "You know what! How about I attack the royal family!" as he smiled
"WHAT!" shouted Night
"Last time the royals disappeared the kingdom fell apart right" said the griffin "I don`t even have to lift a claw and the citizens will do it themselves"
"You monster! You're doing all of this because you don`t want to be in an alliance with ponies?!" demanded Night
"That`s right! I`m going to kill Lightning, her husband and their newborn foal!" shouted the griffin as he walk out of the cave "You have two days to make up your mind! The royals or the package"
Skyangle and Crescent hid behind a dumpster so Skyangle could tell what she knew while Crescent change her back.
"We need to go there!" said Crescent while changing Skyangle back
"Well duh!" said Skyangle as she got hid of the armor
"You know what! If weren't working together to save Night I would leave you to TIMBERWOVLES!"
"Me too!" shouted Skyangle
"I`ll just teleport us there" said Crescent as she activated her horn
"Better hurry before the guards get us" said Skyangle as she look around the dumpster
The royal guards shamefully return to the castle
"You didn`t find them did you?" ask captain Cloud as he glance at Lightning
"Well...uh...no" said one of the guards
"My apologies highness!" said captain Cloud as he bowed along with the royal guards
Lightning took a deep breath "Alright Captain Cloud send a small group of guards to search the intruders. While the rest will search for Night in the land of Griffins and find the rebels" explain Lightning
"Yes highness don`t worry I`ll find him with my guards" said Captain Cloud as he bowed
"You mean we" said Lightning
"What!" said Captain Cloud in shock "Highness it`s too dangerous!"
"I`m well aware of that captain" said Lightning as she stood up from her throne "I`m coming with you and save Nightwing"
"But...highness! What about King Snow? Or the princesses? They don`t know about this?!" said Captain Cloud
"That`s is why we need to keep it as a secret" said Lightning "Now let`s go!"
Skyangle and Crescent arrived at the city boarders and started their search, they look around the boarder and found nothing.
"Well we didn`t find a thing" said Crescent as she moved the sand
"Okay we just need a bird's eye view you`ll see more" said Skyangle as she opened her wings
"Geez! Great idea!" said Crescent as she moved her body
"When I meant we I really meant me" said Skyangle as she flew off
"Feather brain" said Crescent as she watch her flew off
Skyangle flew around the area and didn`t see a thing until she saw a small patch of grass in the forest. She quickly landed on the patch of grass and look around when she saw a shining sky blue metal.
"Night!" said Skyangle as she ran towards the helmet "His helmet! What happened?" as she pick up the dirty helmet with most of the mane gone
She flew back to Crescent and told what she found
"My poor Night" said Crescent as she moved her hoof in the mane
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN MY POOR NIGHT?!" demanded Skyangle
"We can do this later!" said Crescent "I can find Night with his helmet"
"Really!" said Skyangle as she flap her wings in joy
"Yea! This spell will make any objects return to their owners" said Crescent
Captain Cloud, Lightning and some royal guards were all flying to the land of griffins
"King Snow is going to murder me if anything happens to his wife! Not to mention Princess Celestia and Luna! Princess Celestia will probably send me to the MOON!" thought Captain Cloud as he started to panic
"Captain" said Lightning
"Yes!" said Captain Cloud in a worried voice
"We`re getting closer to the capitol" said Lightning
"Of course highness" said Captain Cloud
Crescent and Skyangle followed the flying helmet which led them to a strange cave
"Here?!" said Skyangle as she look at Crescent
"I guess?" said Crescent
"Did you pick yet?" as they heard some voices
"Hide!" shouted Crescent
Crescent and Skyangle hide in a tree and watch the griffins enter the cave
"We need to find better hiding places" whispered Crescent
"I feel like a monkey" said Skyangle
"Look their coming out!" said Crescent
They both waited for a few minutes before getting down the tree
"Let`s go!" said Crescent
They both went into the cave as they walk in the cave they saw a pony chain up to a wall.
"Hello?!" said Crescent as she used a light spell to see who it is
"I`m not telling you!" shouted Night
"NIGHTY!" shouted Skyangle as she ran towards him
"Skyangle? Is...is that you?" ask Night as he tried to see with his beaten eyes
"Yes! Yes! it is!" said Skyangle
"OMG! Night! What happen to you?!" ask Crescent as she removed the chains
"Not the best moment, Crescent" said Night
"Right of course!" said Crescent as she removed the last chain
"Come on Night!" said Skyangle as she out his hoof around her neck
"We need to leave!" said Crescent as she did the same
As they were about to leave the cave they suddenly saw a large group of griffins
"What are you doing?!" demanded one of the griffins
"Crescent!" shouted Skyangle as she glances at her
"Right!" said Crescent as she activated her horn
Crescent and Skyangle waited to be teleported from the cave but was shock to see it didn`t work.
"What happened?!" ask Skyangle
"I don`t know?!" said Crescent as she tried again
"Magic proof cave" said the griffin
"Give us that royal guard!" demanded a griffin
"NEVER!" shouted Crescent and Skyangle
"Very well then" said the head griffin as he nod at the other griffins
A pack of griffins charged at the three ponies! Crescent and Skyangle tried to defend Night but there was to many to handle. As the griffins were about to take Night back there was suddenly a bright orange flash of light which blended the griffins. Crescent and Skyangle look at the source of the light and saw a figure with a large black form. The light clear up and saw it was Lightning! With her royal guards.
"Attack!" shouted Lightning as all of her guards pass her and attack the rebels
"Lightning!" shouted Crescent and Skyangle as they couldn`t believe their eyes
"Hurry behind me!" shouted Lightning as she activated a shield
Crescent and Skyangle watch as the royal guards were defending the griffin`s rebels one bye one. After what seemed to be hours it was finally over! Every griffin was arrested.
"Thank you so much!" said Crescent as the shield was deactivated
"No need" said Lightning as she turn around "Night!" as she activated her horn
"Is he going to be okay?!" ask Skyangle
"Yes he`s not fatally wounded just beat up" said Lightning "I`ll just use a healing spell while we get him back to Canterlot"
"Lightning how in Equestria did you find us?!" ask Crescent
"We caught a rebel and used a spell so he could tell us where the hideout is" explain Lightning "Wait! How did you find this place?"
"Uhhhh...well let`s says that you had a nice meeting" said Skyangle as she smile at her
Lightning stare at them both and force a smile "Well it explains everyting"
"You're not mad right?" ask Skyangle
"Come to the throne room tomorrow morning and bring Crescent" whispered Lightning
"Either way thank you so much! King Snow must be worried that you left the castle" said Skyangle as she moved Night`s mane away
"Ah! About that he doesn`t really know that I`m gone" said Lightning as she grin and gave a chuckle "But he doesn`t need to know that"
"Never thought that royals lied" said Crescent
"You`ll be surprise of how many lies that we keep" said Lightning as she thought about her mother and aunt "Let`s go!"
(Note in chapter 33 in the Lost Land, Lightning went to the land of the griffins and mysteriously disappeared. Well this is what happen to Lightning while she was away and made everypony worried)
