Journey's End- Part 1
I do not own Doctor Who and I am not making a profit off of this. I only own my OC.
Thank you for all your reviews, favorites, follows, and story alert.
I pulled myself up by the railing, stumbling a bit. The lights along the console shattered and I screamed, putting my hands over my neck to stop the glass from cutting me. Small fires sprung up around, nearly burning me. The heat made me wish that I put on sunblock.
I crouched down next to The Doctor's hand in the jar, covering myself.
Explosions and spacks filled my ears along with the heartbeat of a Time Lord. I closed my eyes. I was coughing with my hand over my mouth. The white smoke was clouding my vision and it was getting very hard to breath. Suddenly The Doctor's hand inside the jar began to glow with regeneration energy. I reached out to the jar, knowing that I had to take Donna's place. That I had to become the medi-crisis.
The regeneration energy slowly engulfed me. I was panting now, trying desperately to breath. I stood up and shooted energy from my hands and head, screaming in pain. I sat up with a gasp with the destruction of the Tardis still happening. Though the explosions seemed a bit softer. Then I saw a hand, out of the jar and lying on the grilling.
The fingers twitched. I watched as the regeneration energy spread outwards from the hand into a human shape, The Doctor.
The Doctor sat up, eyes wide… and completely naked. I covered my eyes. "Doctor!" I screamed, in slight shock.
"Yes, that's me." The medi-crisis Doctor said.
"Your naked!" I replied.
"Oh yes!" The medi-crisis Doctor said as the Tardis shook around us.
The New Doctor pulled himself up to the console, and pressed a button. We dematerialized and the Tardis rematerialized back in outer space, alive and intact, away from the crucible. "Doctor, put some cloths on!" I yelled.
The New Doctor had put on his blue suit and a red top. He jumped down from the railings were he was repairing the door. "All repaired. Lovely. Shush. No one knows we're here. Got to keep quiet. Silent running, like on submarines when you can't even drop a spanner. Don't drop a spanner! I like blue. What do you think?"
"Why blue?" I asked out of curiosity.
"Why? What's wrong with blue?" The Doctor retorted.
"No! Nothing! I love blue. Blue is my favorite color. What happened though." I said, still a bit fuzzy and not remembering everything from the episode. It was probably the fact that I had just regenerated into a Time lady though and I pushed the thought into the back of my mind and... forgot about it.
"I'm unique. Never been another like me. Because all that regeneration energy went into the hand. Look at my hand. I love that hand. But then you touched it. Wham! Shush. Instantaneous biological meta-crisis. I grew out of you. Still, could be worse"
"Hey!"
"Hey!" The Doctor gasped. "Ooo. I sound like you. I sound all... all soft."
"Hey!" I said, offended.
"Hey!" The Doctor said, in the exact tone of my voice.
"Hey!"
"Incredible! Shush. I must have picked up a bit of your voice, that's all. Is it? Did I? No. Oh, you are joking me. No way." The new Doctor breathed. "One heart. I've only got one heart. This body has got only one heart."
"You're human!" I said, smirking as The New Doctor's face morphed into a horrified one.
"Oh, that's disgusting." The New Doctor said.
"Hey!" I said, now very annoyed. I was human once!
"Hey!" The Doctor said.
"Stop it." I said, getting a headache and starting to get really annoyed. I rubbed my right temple.
"No, wait. I'm part Time Lord, part human. Well, isn't that awesome?" The Doctor said, looking at me in wonder.
"I kept hearing that noise, that heartbeat." I said out-loud. "Donna was supposed to hear it though." I murmured. The New Doctor didn't seem to hear me.
"Oh, that was me. My single heart. Because I'm a complicated event in time and space. Must have rippled back, converging on you."
"But why me? Didn't they converge on Donna as well?" I asked.
"Because you're special. And yes but they all stopped converging on her and converged on you at the moment you pushed her out of the Tardis."
"Oh, I keep telling you, I'm not. I'm not special."
"No, but you are. Oh. You really don't believe that, do you? I can see, Susan, what you're thinking. All that softness, all that quietness, because all this time you think you're not worth it. You think your just an add on. "
"Stop it." I said. Starting to feel sick.
"Just because you know everything. Everything that's going to happen. Who's going to die."
"Doctor. Stop it." I hissed.
"But look at what you did. No, it's more than that. It's like we were always heading for this. You came to the Tardis. You watched the T.V. show. You saved the Earth. You came with me. You found Rose again. That's not coincidence at all! We've been blind. Something's been drawing us together for such a long time."
"But you're talking like destiny. There's no such thing. Is there?" I said, steeling Donna's line because... well, I had to.
"It's still not finished. It's like the pattern's not complete. The strands are still drawing together. But heading for what?"
"It's the planets. The twenty seven planets." The New Doctor said after a while. "Single string Z-neutrinos compressed. No way."
The people on the monitor vanish. I put my hand over my mouth. They were all dead. More innocent people dead because I couldn't save them. I swallowed down my breakfast that was creeping up my throat.
The Doctor is building something. "So what is this thing?" I asked.
"It's our only hope. A Z-neutrino biological inversion catalyser." The Doctor said.
"Um, I may be a genius but even I can't tell what you said. They didn't explain it in the show."
"Davros said he built those Daleks out of himself. His genetic code runs through the entire race. If I can use this to lock the Crucible's transmission onto Davros himself."
"It destroys the Daleks? Yes?"
"Biggest backfire in history!"
"Oh yeah!" I said, cheering.
"Ready? Maximum power!" The New Doctor said, grinning and pressing a few buttons on the TARDIS and headed towards the Crucible.
The Tardis materialises and The New Doctor appears in the doorway.
"Brilliant!" I heard Jack say. I waited inside.
Then he runs across the floor.
"Don't!" The Original Doctor yelled. Davros zaps the new Doctor. He drops the gun in pain and falls to the floor.
"Activate holding cell." Davros said.
I ran out of the Tardis and picked up the gun. "Doctor! I've got it. But I don't know how to work it!" Davros zaps me sending myself flying backwards. I dropped the gun midway through the air. I slammed into a control panel and slumped to the floor. My chest burning in pain. I gasped for breath multiple times.
"Susan!" Jack yelled.
"Susan! Susan! Are you all right, Susan?" The Doctor yelled.
"Susan!" I froze at that voice. I glanced up and saw the impossible. Lily Roberts was standing along side of Mickey, Martha and Jackie Tyler. My best friend who was supposed to be my universe. My eye's widened. What the hell was she doing here?
