Stiles spends Scott's first full moon watching Disney movies with his parents on their large couch. It's something they haven't done in a while, considering how busy his dad always is and everything going on with the Hales.

They've just finished watching Frozen – his mother's face was priceless at the big reveal – when his fathers' cellphone rings. Stiles doesn't think much of it until his dad is rushing to get his jacket on and he's rushing out the door.

"John?" his mother calls, looking worried.

"There's been an incident."

"What kind of incident?"

"A man's been murdered and his son's gone missing."

"John, it's two a.m.! What can you get done at two a.m.?"

"I don't know, but I have to try!" Stiles' dad rushes over to kiss his wife and quickly hug Stiles in one of those lame one arm hugs.

Stiles listens to his father drive off in the cruiser before looking at his mother.

"Think this has anything to do with the rogue Alpha that bit Scott?"

His mother turns to Stiles with a mischievous glint in her eyes, "There's one way to find out."

And he'd always wondered where he'd gotten his conniving side from, because it definitely hadn't been from his father. Claudia calls up Shareen, the receptionist from the station, and asks for the name and description of both the dead man and the missing boy. After only two minutes she has strong armed and black mailed her way into the information as well as secured that Shareen will not be telling anyone that Claudia has called her. Ever.

Of course, the smile that's wound its way onto Stiles' face falls the minute he gets the names.

Isaac Lahey is the missing boy and his father is dead. It's been confirmed that it was an animal attack, but Stiles knows that it might as well be code for rogue something-or-other killing someone.

His mother knows that her son knew Isaac from his own world, so they agree to help in the search, but they aren't allowed out tonight not only because of the rogue Alpha, but because it's Scott's first full moon. They need to be home in case Talia calls needing help.

She won't, but his mother is adamant about staying in. So instead of going out and looking for Isaac the way Stiles wants to, his mother herds him up to the attic and pulls out this really old map of Beacon Hills so she can start divining. A skill Stiles neither knows how to do nor has the patience to practice or learn.

They've been sitting there for close to three hours when his mother slams her hands down on the trunk that's holding the map. Stiles freezes when she turns to glare at him.

But her glare turns into a smile, one that is forced and fake, before commenting, "Why don't you go get some sleep. You must be exhausted."

"Not really, I-"

"Go. To. Bed." She glares at his leg, which is shaking horribly, and Stiles stops.

He knows his mother has a lot of patience, but even she has her limits. Stiles walks over, kisses her on the forehead, and makes his way down from the attic.

Being a rather nocturnal creature himself, Stiles doesn't exactly feel sleepy. But he knows that the best time to look for Isaac is during daylight hours, so he shoots Scott a text to come over as soon as he feels ready and rested (he'd always been exhausted after having to be locked up on full moons, but it could be different) before making himself tea and heading to bed. He figures he has seven hours until Scott's well rested around noon, so he settles in and tries his best to fall asleep.
