Repaying a debt
Lightning and Cadence were now two days in the cave and didn`t have much to eat but when every time they do have food Cadence instead for Lightning to take her share.
"Cadence you need to eat" said Lightning as she look at the two bowls of old hay
"I'm eating for one you're eating for two" said Cadence
"But you need to eat" said Lightning as she moved a bowl towards her "Please eat"
"Are you sure?!" ask Cadence as she place her hoof on the bowl when her stomach made a rumble
"I think your stomach agree with me" said Lightning as she gave a chuckle
"Alright then" said Cadence as she took the bowl
"What a bad time to be pregnant" said Lightning as she look at her bowl of hay
"What are you talking about! It`s giving us hope for a future!" said Cadence
"They won`t be a future if we`re still here!" said Lightning
Meanwhile everypony factually search for clues about the disappearance and all the royal guards were all pressured to find something,
"Anything?!" demanded Snow as a guard came in
"No sir" said the guard
"THEN KEEP LOOKING AND DON`T COME BACK UNTIL YOU FIND SOMETHING!" shouted Snow
"Yes sir!" shouted the guard as he ran off
"Snow!" said Night as he walk pass the running guard
"What is it?!" ask Snow
"We will find them I promise" said Night as he look at the stress out King
"You better be right!" said Snow as he gave him a dirty look
The royal guards scout all over Equestria even the Evergreen Forest had to be search. Midnight who left the royal life because of her recent changements was near the path in the evergreen forest and was picking fruits. When she suddenly heard many hooves running! She quickly hid behind some bushes and over heard them says something very interesting.
"You didn`t find anything that could led us to Queen Lightning or Princess Cadance?" ask one of the guards
"No sir not a thing!" said another guard
"We need to find them before the public's finds out! If we don`t Equestria will be in great trouble" said the guard
"MOVE OUT!" shouted another "WE MUST FIND THEM!"
Mid waited for the guards to leave the forest before coming out
"Missing! Lightning missing" said Mid as she just stared at the path "Lightning how can you be missing? My cousin is missing from her home, aunty Celestia must be worried and my mother...NO SHE IS NOT MY MOTHER!" as she stumps her hoof but stop as her mind return to Lightning "Why am I feeling this? I thought I got over this? They are not my real family!" she started to walk on the path to head back home when her mind once more return to her cousin "Lightning where you could be? And who took you?! You are needed back at your kingdom"
Mid continued to stare at the path when she eventually opened her wings and flew off. Night was going to led a small search party to find Crescent and integrate her about the where about of Lightning and Cadance.
"Be careful out there" said Skyangle as she watch Night inspect the guards
"I will promise!" said Night as he kiss her on the head "Let`s go!" as he open his wings and flew off
Skyangle watch as row by row of guards flew off right behind him
Lightning and Cadance spent most of their time talking about many things anything that would pass the time.
"Did you decide on a name?" ask Cadance
"Well we did if it`s a colt It would be Noble Laureate and a filly not yet" said Lightning
"Did my ears hear right!" as they both heard Crescent`s voice "One of you is pregnant!"
"SO WHAT!" shouted Cadance
"How interesting this changes everything" said Crescent as she approach them
"What are you planning?!" demanded Lightning
"Well I originally planned to release you when my demands were met or kill Cadance and take your magic!" said Crescent as she stared at them both
"Why does everypony want my magic?!" ask Lightning
"Your magic is one of the most powerful out there! Able to control a dragon!" said Crescent as she pulled heard on the chains
"How do you know that?! Very few ponies know about that!" ask Lightning as she caught Cadence's reaction from the corner of her eye
"Well it's not such a secret if I know about it" said Crescent as she release the chains "Anyways now things are very different"
"YOU MOSTER!" shouted Cadance "FORGET JUDGEMENT YOU WILL BE SENTENCE TO DEATH!"
"Of course your highnesses" said Crescent as she playfully bowed "I`ll believe it when I see it"
Night and the search team look for four hours straight and still haven`t found a thing on where they could be. He suddenly heard some noise from deep in the forest and went to investigate.
"Is anypony here? Show your selves by order of the rulers of Cloud Kingdom!" shouted Night as he waited for a response
"The rulers! You mean Lightning's back?!" answered a voice
"Show yourselves!" said Night
"Answer my question first then we`ll see" said the voice
Night thought about for a long time before he gave his answer "Are you the press or a citizen of one of the three kingdoms?"
"Neither" said the voice
Night still try to find the source of the voice but the forest was too dark "No Queen Lightning Flare of Cloud Kingdom and Princess Cadance of the Crystal Empire are still missing!"
There was a long silence when something came out of the forest Night saw an Alicorn with a dark blue coat, black, red mane with cat like eyes and wearing a black cloak.
"Who are you?!" ask Night as he look at this strange alicorn
"Not many ponies know me but before they did" said the mare as she gave a small smile "My name is Midnight Moon or better known as Princess Midnight Moon of Equestria, daughter of Princess Luna"
"What daughter?!" said Night in a surprise tone
"Yes, I was part of the royal family many years ago but something happen and I left" said Mid as she went back to the shadows
"Why do you want to save Queen Lightning?" ask Night
"Because she my cousin and I need to find her" said Mid "And what is your name young guard?"
"Nightwing, son of Princess Twilight Sparkle and Prince Flash Sentry" said Night
"You're a royal! And you're in the royal guards!" said Mid in a surprise tone "Incredible!"
"I need to go" said Night as he open his wings
"You won`t find them in time!" shouted Mid
"What do you mean?!" demanded Night
"The ponynaper might take her magic" said Mid
"What?!" said Night
Mid explain most of the secret history about the royal family and the proctor of the kingdom. Meanwhile Lightning and Cadance tried to figure out Crescent plans and a way to notify a pony where they were. Crescent came back in with an evil smile on her face and her plan in mind to get her revenge on the royals.
"What are you so happy about?!" ask Lightning
"Putting my plans into action" said Crescent as she used her magic to take out two rings
"We already have anti magic rings!" said Cadance
"Is not for that it's to drain your magic and transfer it to me" said Crescent as she replace the rings
"WHAT!" shouted both Lightning and Cadance as they couldn`t do anything to stop her
Lightning and Cadance watch as the rings activated their magic and transferring it to her.
"You`ll be dead in a few days" said Crescent as she walk
Lightning and Cadance worriedly look at each desperately hoping somepony will save them.
Mid finish her history lesson and look at Night waiting for a reaction
"So that why many ponies want her magic" said Night
"Yes and you're going to need my help" said Mid
"Fine as long as we recues Lightning and Cadence" said Night"I'll summon my troupe"
"NO!" shouted Mid as she stop him with her magic "It's both of us or your going alone"
"Alright then" said Night as he knew he had no choice "I'll dismiss the guards then"
Night return to the his scouting team
"Alright all of you search north- west! That the only place we didn't look yet and I'll report back to the castle!" shouted Night
"Yes sir!" shouted the guards all they all flew off
Lightning and Cadance felt every ounce of their magic leaving them and their physical signs showed as well. They both had bags under their eyes and were getting extremely tired and weak from the magic extraction.
"Never thought I'll be like this again" said Cadance as she could clearly remember the time of Sombra's attack
"And I never thought somepony would actually take my magic"said Lightning as he lay her head down
"You look worst of us two" said Cadance with a worried tone
"The one bad thing of being an alicorn or unicorn a good portion of your magic goes to the foal" said Lightning as she closed her eyes
"So the foal can have magic abilities when born" said Cadance as she knew that Lightning was losing more magic faster "We must be saved or this is the end"
"So do we know who took them?" ask Mid
"Crescent Quill" said Night
Mid turn around and closed her eyes and what seems to be using a spell
"What are you doing?" ask Night
"Consulting with the stars" answered Mid
"What?!" said Night which didn't help him at all
"They near a cave hidden in a protection near the Evergreen"said Mid as she reopen her eyes
Night stood there speechless
"We should get going" said Mid as she open her wings
"How…how did you?!" said Night
"Come on" shouted Mid while she flap her wings
"How did you do that?" ask Night as he followed her
"The stars told me where she was! I control the stars of the night" explain Mid
"Can I send word to Snow? He needs to know where he's wife is" ask Night
"Very well" said Mid
As Snow got a letter from Night he immediately headed to the location Shining Armor, the princesses and the guards. Mid and Night arrived at what seems to be the place of Crescent's hideout and where she keeping Cadance and Lightning.
"What now?" ask Night
"Now I'm going to break the barrier and leave you the rest" said Mid as he horn glowed
"You don't want see her?" ask Night while Mid was breaking the barrier
"I don't know if I can" said Mid as she watch the barrier disappear "Good luck young stallion" as she flew off
"Wait!" shouted Night as he grab on her cloak
Mid didn't respond to Night and just flew off while Night was still holding part of her cloak that ripe off
"I'm coming Crescent!" said Night as he threw the cloak onto the ground
Night walk in the cave which was pitch black
"Highnesses! Are you here!" shouted Night as he turn on his mini light from his armor "Is anypony here!"
Crescent was watching as Lightning and Cadance were dying from the lack of magic in their bodies when she heard Night's voice.
"Night!" said Crescent as she stare in horror "You're here!"
"Told you somepony will save us" said Cadance as she tried to beat the temptation to sleep
"He….he….he will….arrest you" said Lightning as she force one eye open
"He would if he catches me!" said Crescent as she used a teleportation spell to disappear before Night found them
"OMG!" shouted Night as he rush over to them "Cadance! Lightning! What happen to you?!" as he head towards Cadance
"NO! Not me!" shouted Cadance as she look at Lightning who was already near death
"Lightning! Hold on help is on its way!" shouted Night as he removed the rings and chains from both mares "Cadance can you walk?!" as he put Lightning on his back
"I….I think so!" said Cadance as she slowly got up
"Let's go!" said Night as he rush out the cave
As Snow arrived with Shining, Celestia, Luna and the guards they saw Night coming out the cave with Lightning and Cadance.
"LIGHTNING!" shouted Snow as he quickly landed and rush over to her "WHAT HAPPEN?!" as he took her into his hooves
"Cadance!" shouted Shining as he also rush over to her side
"SNOW! Give her some of your magic quickly!" shouted Cadance
Snow did what Cadance said without any question and just activated his horn and touch Lightning's. Shining did the same for Cadance while the guard went into the caves to see if Crescent was still there.
"Snow" softly said Lightning as she reopens her eyes
"Lightning!" said Snow as he hug her while still transferring his magic to her "Are you alright?!"
"I've been better" said Lightning
"What happen to you both?" ask Celestia as she whip some tears away
"It's was Crescent!" said Cadance as she push Shining away
"WE MUST STOP HER!" shouted Luna
"She more dangerous now" said Lightning as she tried to stand
"Don't push yourself" said Snow
"No!" said Lightning as she pushes his hoofs "Snow now Crescent is more powerful than ever!"
"Lightning" said Snow
"She as our magic! She can control Shi!" said Lightning
"And with my magic of love you knows what she can do!" said Cadance
"Then we'll stop her no matter what!" said Night
"We are grateful Nightwing" said Snow as he tighten his grip around his wife
"Don't be this is my way to thank you for all what you did for me" said Night as he smiled at them
"Thank you" said Lightning as she closed her eyes
"We're stop her I'll promise you that" said Night
