Judgement
(The law system is very different from ours! In my fic the justice system works. Crescent won't have a trail like we do, she will have the chance to explain herself or the prosecution can speak with her. But if it's not like Crescent where it's very obvious that she guilty then they'll have a trail like us)
Crescent Quill, Equestria most dangerous pony ever was now imprison in Canterlot`s maxim prison. In a special made cell with many royal guards from all three kingdoms making sure she would never escape. When everypony thought that Crescent could no longer hurt them one unfortunate day arrived. Lightning and Snow were arriving an important meeting about Crescent`s fate when suddenly Lightning got painful pains. She was rush to the doctors and see what was wrong until the most horrible news a mother could hear.
"I`m sorry your highness but you lost your foal" said the doctor as he sadly look away
Lightning didn`t answer and just stare in sadness and shock
"But how?" ask Snow as he wrap his hooves around her to comfort her but knows it won`t help
"I believe it started when your magic was extracted by Crescent, the foal was able to survive that time. But every time you used your magic in your previous states well the foal`s heart could no longer take the change in magic" explain the doctor as he saw Lightning cry "I`m deeply sorry"
"Will she need to see you again" ask Snow as he squeezed her hard desperately wanting to take all the grief from her
"No need" said the doctor as he left the room
As the doctor left the room he heard the desperate cries of a heart broken mother of the lost of her unborn foal. After a few weeks later Lightning stop crying from the lost of her foal and continue with the trail of the mare who kill her foal. The news of lost of the foal spread though out the kingdoms with the many visit from family and friends.
"Captain Nightwing" said a Canterlot's guard
"Yes" said Night as he gave a scroll to another guard
"Prisoner 342 is asking to see you" said the guard
"Crescent!" said Night with hatred in his tone "She the one who cause the lost of Queen Lightning`s foal!"
Night hated Crescent for everything she did to them but she never took a life of anypony or so he thought.
"Very well" said Night as he wanted to ask her why
Crescent was chain with anti magic chains on her hooves, mid section and neck with her anti magic ring on her horn. While being in anti magic bars and cell with many guards around the clock Pegasus, unicorn and earth ponies.
"Guards give us a moment" said Night as he walk in front of her cell
"Night!" shouted Crescent as she wanted to run towards him by was restrain
"That`s captain" said Night as he removed his helmet and look at his former friend "Crescent Quill are you aware of the charges yours against?"
"Yes I am" said Crescent as she sat down and recalled the charges which she repeated so many time in her head " High treason against the crown, ponynaping two royals, forcefully taking a royal under your spells, stealing Cloud Kingdom's weapon and attacking Equestria!"
"You can add murder of a royal to your list" said Night as he watch her reaction
"WHAT!" shouted Crescent in shock as she never killed a pony "HOW?!"
"Queen Lightning was pregnant with the third heir to the throne but because of you! She as lost the foal. The royals, generals and the judge on your case have all agree that you murder the foal" explain Night as he put his helmet back on his head "Crescent what you have done as never been since in many years! The last pony who was sentence to death was Sliver Armor. But he was spread from his sentence, you! Well I`m not so sure about that" as he glance at her before leaving
"Murder!" repeated Crescent as she couldn`t believe she killed a pony not just a pony but a foal "What...what have I done?!"
The trail was in one day and Crescent still couldn`t believe that she murder an innocent foal just because she attack her mother. As she was in shock she didn`t notice her prison cell open and a cloud guard entering with his secret blade out.
"Murderer!" said the guard as he caught her attention "You attack Queen Lightning and her foal! YOU TRIED TO TAKE OUR QUEEN FROM US! YOU WANT THE KINGDOM TO RETURN INTO CAOS!" as he lunged at Crescent
At the same moment the guard with the knife was stop by royal unicorn guard from Canterlot. As he held the assassin his fellow guards removed the knife and arrested him.
"WHY? WHY?!" shouted the assassin as he was carried away
Crescent look in shock as her life was barely saved from the very ponies guarding her! She look up at the unicorn guard who saved her life but only saw hatred and disgust in his eyes.
"Your meal will be out in 10 minutes" said the guard as he closed the prison`s cell and walk away
"Even Canterlot hates me" said Crescent as she sadly look at the floor, realizing everything she lost just because she couldn`t move on with her life "I`ll never get married, or new friends not even a foal of my own"
The royal guards bought who was no longer in his armor who tried to kill Crescent was bought to Cloud Kingdom`s captain and rulers.
"Captain! Highnesses!" said the guards as the bowed at them while hold the assassin "Royal guard, Thunder is arrested for trying to kill Prisoner 342"
"I was passing judgement!" said the guard as he look at this superiors
Lightning, Snow and Night look at white coated pegasusi, with light blue mane, green, blue eyes and a thunder cloud with lightning.
"Thunder your accusation is attempted murder" said Lightning as she stood up
"She almost kill you! And kill a royal!" shouted Thunder
"Yes but this is a problem for us and not one of our royal guards" said Lightning as she tried to hold back her tears
"Why Thunder? Your are a very good royal guard?" ask Night
"I was not going to let the kingdom fall again" explain Thunder as he shameful look away
"Thunder you will receive a trail for your accusation by the kingdom" said Snow as he saw that his wife was about to break "Guards please bring Thunder to a cell"
The trail arrived Lightning, Cadance, Night and Skyangle as they all sat on the prosecution while they watch Crescent arrived on the defense.
"Night" thought Crescent as she was forcefully sat down on the bench
Crescent waited for the judge to arrive and heard the many screams of anger outside the courthouse, she worriedly looks at the prosecution. And just saw that the royals were ignoring her with expression of hatred against her.
"All rise for the honorable Judge Gavel!" shouted a royal guard
Crescent watch as an old unicorn stallion with a gray coat, blue eyes, white mane and mustache, wearing black glasses and a balance and gavel cutie mark.
"These crimes are very serious" said Gavel as he read the accusations "High treason against the crown, ponynaping two royals, forcefully taking a royal under your spells, stealing Cloud Kingdom's weapon, attacking Equestria and murder of an unborn foal! Never in my many years as a judge have I ever saw this many accusation!" as he put the paper down and glance at her "How do you plea?"
"Guilty" said Crescent as she gave a quick glance to Night
"I see" said Gavel as he put his papers away "Are those words from guilt?"
"Yes, I lost everything because I refuse to move on with my life. And because of that I will never have the life I use to have" said Crescent as she couldn't stop looking at the royals
"It still doesn't make any excuse for your crimes" said Gavel "Does the royal family who where involve with Crescent Quill wish to says something?"
"I do!" said Cadance as she stood up "Crescent Quill tell us! Why did you take us?"
"I wanted your powers to make Night's love me" answered Crescent
"That it! That's why you took my wife?!" shouted Snow as he stop his hoof on the bench "You didn't need her if you wanted Captain Nightwing!"
"I had hatred against the royal family! And I still do!" shouted Crescent as she tried to stand up
"Miss Crescent Quill!" shouted Gavel as he slammed his gavel "May I remind you that your sentence may be death! Anything you do or says will make and jury change their minds about your sentence!"
"I would like to says something" said Lightning as she stand while motioning Snow to sit
"Of course highness! Go ahead" said Gavel
"You're a mare just like me so I wanted to know how you feel about the death of unborn foal?" ask Lightning
Crescent stared in shock as tears started to over flow
"Horrible" said Crescent as tears fell from her cheeks "The one thing that never wanted was the death of a pony. And of course not the one of a foal, a unborn foal who never got the chance to live, to see the sunlight, their own mother and father, the joys of life. No mare would want to bring that pain and suffering to a foal or another mare. But I bought this horrible pain to you Queen Lightning and your unborn foal who will never get the chance to meet your eyes because of me. I understand that you don't forgive me since I wouldn't forgive myself either"
"That's all I wanted to hear" said Lightning as tears flow down her cheek "I still won't forgive you for taken my foal's life and I'll never will! But I see that your heart is torn with pain and regret from your sins" said Lightning as she turn around to face the judge "Judge Gavel please remove murder of an unborn foal!"
"Are you sure?" ask the judge as he couldn't understand why she would do something like this
"Lightning! Why are you letting that charge go?!" ask Cadance as she look at her with confusion
"Because she will live with that guilt for the rest of her life just like I will live with never seeing my unborn foal" said Lightning as she touch her stomach
Snow stood up and held her in his hooves
"As her highness wish! The charge for murder of an unborn foal will be removed" said Gavel "Does any other royal wishes to speak before the sentence?"
"Crescent" said Night as he stand with Skyangle "Are you really regretful of your crimes?"
"Yes I am" said Crescent
"Crescent you could have a life and a family! If only you accepted that Night chose me and not you!" said Skyangle
"Skyangle the first day in prison I've regretted my choice and thinking of everything I'll be missing because of my choices" said Crescent
"Is that everypony?" ask Gavel as he look at the courtroom "Jury!"
As the courtroom waited for the verdict it was dead silent as everypony waited for the jury to return. After one hour the jury return and gave a piece of paper to Gavel as he read the verdict he look up towards Crescent.
"All raise!" said a guard
Crescent anxiously stood up and waited to hear her fate
"Crescent Quill you are where by banished from Equestria! With 90% of your magic will be permanently removed from your horn and are forbidden to return to neither Equestria nor the three kingdoms or be sentence to death the moment you stop hoof!" said the judge as he slammed his gavel
"Night! Please don't do this!" shouted Crescent as she pulled against the royal guards
"You did this to yourself" said Night as he look away while wrapping his wing around Skyangle "Farewell Crescent Quill"
Crescent watch as the last sight of Night disappeared as the court room doors closed chute. Over the next weeks Crescent was bought to the laboratory and was place a special ring on her horn, and watch as 90% of her magic left her horn.
"It's done" said one of the scientists as he took off the ring
"It won't come back?" ask another
"No I used a special spell to make sure her horn doesn't make more magic" answered the first "Take that traitor away!"
