Prince Nightwing
The First royal duty
Two months have pass since Night and Skyangle become husband and wife and even been enjoying life to the fullest until a letter arrived with an important notice.
Prince Nightwing and Princess Skyangle of Equestria, you are both required to attend a summit by duke and duchess of Maretonia.
Princess Celestia
"Skyangle!" said Night as he put the letter down "I hope you're ready for something important?!"
"What is it?" ask Skyangle
"Your first royal duty in Maretonia!" said Night as he smiled at her
"What?!" said Skyangle in complete shock "A...a...a royal summit! Why us?! What about the other royals?!"
"Well my parents are on their trip, my sister is too busy, Blueblood...well nopony would send Blueblood and Celestia, Luna, Cadance, Shining, Lightning and Snow are way too busy as well and of course not the young princesses and prince. So there only us who are available to the summit" explain Night as he grinned at her to only see Skyangle faint "Skyangle!"
A few moments later Skyangle reawaken to see Night sitting next to her with a smile
"Night" said Skyangle as she blinks her eyes
"Skyangle I was so worried!" said Night as he kiss her on the head
"Night I had the weirdest dream ever! I dreamt that we had to go to Maretonia for a summit" said Skyangle as she notice the towel on her forehead
"Skyangle it wasn`t a dream" said Night
"What!" shouted Skyangle as she stood up "I`m not ready!"
"Skyangle don`t worry about a thing! I`ll do most of the talking all you have to do is listen and say a few words" said Night
"Okay! That`s not to hard" said Skyangle as she thought about it
"Happy to hear!" said Night as he kiss her on the lips "We`re leaving tomorrow"
Skyangle anxiously waited as the carriages bought them closer and closer to Maretonia
"Hey! Don`t worry" said Night as he smiled at her
Skyangle look at Night as he wore one of his royal outfits and also look at herself with a short dress, a necklace and hooves shoes.
"I hope so" said Skyangle as she nervously smiled
"Prince Nightwing we`ve arrived at Maretonia" as they heard a royal guard
Night smiled at Skyangle as he extended his hoof at her, she nervously look at the window to see the duke and duchess waited for them. She took a deep breath and took his hoof as they existed the carriage.
"Their highnesses! Prince Nightwing and Princess Skyangle of Equestria!" shouted a royal guard
Night and Skyangle bowed at the duke and duchess as well as they did as well
"Prince Nightwing welcome" said the duke as he glance at Skyangle "And this must be your new wife and newest member of Equestria`s royal family"
"Indeed she is" said Night as he smiled at her
"Sky...! Uh I mean Princess Skyangle" said Skyangle as she immediately bowed to hid her blush
"It`s nice to meet the newlyweds" said the duchess
"Thank you duchess" said Night as he lowered his head
"Please let`s begin" said the duke as he started to show the way
"You're doing fine" whispered Night
"I am" whispered back Skyangle
"You are" whispered Night
Night, Skyangle and the duke and duchess arrived at a meeting hall and started their political agreements. Skyangle look and admired on how Night was making all of the political problems that the kingdom`s both had. And started to understand how it works and was surprise when she made the secret decision about the problems and got them right.
"Please excuse me" as they all heard a royal guard enter the room
"Yes" ask Night
"Please forgive my rudeness but there a very important letter for you" said the guard while bowing
"Alright" said Night as he stood up "Can you please forgive me?"
"Of course we`ll continued with Princess Skyangle" said the duke as he smiled at her
"What!" said Skyangle in complete shock
"You`ll do fine" said Night as he smiled at him
Skyangle desperately watch as Night left the room and was left alone with the duke and duchess
"Now Princess do you agree with our agreements?" ask the duke as he paid full attention on her
"Uh...well I...!" hesitated Skyangle as she nervously started to sweat
"Were you paying any attention?" ask the duchess
"Yes of course I was!" said Skyangle as she smiled
"Then what did we says?" ask the duke
"I...I...politic and uh...money?!" guessed Skyangle as her eyes moved back and forth
The duke and duchess both look at each other and shook their heads
"We`re are very disappointed in the newest princess of Equestria" said the duke
"We expected more from you" said the duchess
"No! I didn`t mean to!" shouted Skyangle as she stood up
At the same moment Night return to the meeting to see Skyangle standing and the duke and duchess looking disappointed.
"What`s going on?" ask Night
"Equestria newest princess knows nothing" said the duchess "Equestria should be very ashamed of their newest princess. Very indeed that she not as good as Queen Lightning, Princess Cadence or Princess Celestia"
"Now listen here you over dress pony!" shouted Night as he stump towards her "I`m not going to let you talk to her like that"
"And I`m not going to let you talk about my wife like that either!" shouted the duke as he stood up and face Night
"Your wife is a disgrace to Equestria and the royal family!" said the duke
"You're a disgrace to ponykind!" shouted Night
The duke stared at Night with angry in his eyes
"Maretonia will no longer make any commercial or visitations to Equestria! In fact Maretonia will no longer consider Equestria as in allies but an enemy of the stat!" said the duke
"Wait...what are you saying?" ask Skyangle as she started to fear the worst
"What his saying is that Maretonia has now declared war against Equestria!" shouted the duchess
"What!" shouted Skyangle as she desperately looks at Night
"Are you forgetting that Cloud Kingdom is an allies with Equestria?! And that I`m their royal guards!" said Night
"We are very aware that why we will make sure that you will be demoted and make Cloud Kingdom a Maretonia allies!" said the duke
"I dare you to try!" said Night
"STOP IT!" shouted Skyangle
Night, the duke and duchess look at Skyangle
"What do you want?" demanded the duchess
"Don`t start a war because of me!" said Skyangle
"We are not starting a war for you! Equestria and Maretonia has always been on thin ice with each other!" said the duke as he glance at her "We just needed an excuse to declare war"
"No please don`t start a war!" said Skyangle "Do you know how many pony lives will be lost?! I didn`t mean to show disrespect to you both but I was never raised in the royal life. I was just raised by athletes and that`s it! Please forgive our rudeness?!" pleaded Skyangle as she look at them both "Night!"
Night look at Skyangle and realized his mistake
"Princess Skyangle is right" said Night as he sat down "War is not the answer to this problem! I apologies for my rudeness to your, duchess" as he bowed
"Risking the lives of Maretonia`s is not worth it over this argument" said the duke as he stare at his wife
"Yes please excuse me for my rudeness" said the duchess
"We didn't mean any disrespect" said the duke
"So there no war between Equestria and Maretonia?" ask Skyangle as she nervously look at them
The duke, duchess and Night all look at each other and nodded in agreement
"No" said the duke as he shook his head "Equestria and Maretonia have return to allies"
"Thank goodness!" said Skyangle as she fell onto the chair
The duke, duchess and Night all look at Skyangle and laugh at Skyangle reactions. Night and Skyangle return to Equestria while in the carriage Skyangle was so relief to see that her first royal duty went well…..well you could says that.
"Well that went well" said Night as he removed his tie
"I can't believe that I almost start a war!" said Skyangle
"Well good thing that you stop us or else we would have" said Night as he blushed in embracement "I'm the one who would have started it"
"You were just protecting me that all" said Skyangle
"Well next time I should insult important ponies" said Night as he gave a chuckle
"Next time I should pay more attention" said Skyangle
Night wrap Skyangle with his wing and bought her closer to him
"I hope next time somepony else could go and not us" said Skyangle
"Nah! We would be fine" said Night
Night bought Skyangle even closer and kisses her on the lips
