Jinja sat just outside the exit to the cave, tears stung her eyes as they rolled down her cheeks uncontrollably. She looked up at the sky, the bright light that shone from the stars and moon made her tears have a glint to them. She turned her head slightly when she heard a small whine, it was Bruno her dog. "Come here baby" sniffed Jinja patting her lap. Bruno softly padded over and lay down placing his small head on her lap, giving out small whines every now and then. Jinja flinched when she heard the yells coming from inside the cave.
The other day Chase had found out about her and Sealy, that had caused some clear anger and after a bit of arguing Chase came to the decision to spilt into two sepret groups. Bren, Beyal and Dax had easily sided with Chase straight away and Sealy Rex and James stayed together. The only problem was that Jinja was split in two. Right now they were all arguing about who Jinja should go with. After listening to the fighting for another ten minutes Jinja fell asleep outside next to Bruno in her own tears.
"Jinja? Hey Jinja wake up" came a voice as Jinja was shook. Jinja sat opened her eyes and saw the blond hair of James. She slowly sat up and saw him sitting next to her.
"What time is it?" she yawned. James smiled slightly at her.
"Way past my bed time" he yawned jokingly. Jinja gave a slight chuckle.
"No really the time?" she asked. James gave her a giving in smile.
"Ok then it's just past 2:30 AM" he said grinning. Jinja smiled up at him but it soon turned into a frown, she felt tears coming to her eyes again and she hugged Bruno closer to her. "Whats up red?" said James in concern. Jinja shot a look back up at him.
"Really? James what do you think I would be upset about?" she snapped. James smiled at her unnerved by her sudden snap.
"I guess your right, well who are you going to side with then?" he asked suddenly going serious. Jinja felt tears falling from her eyes. "You don't have to say anything if you don't want" he said. Jinja shook her head.
"No I want to let it out" she sniffed. James nodded, "For the first time in my life, I feel my heart being torn sepret ways" she cried trying to hide her tears but she was pretty hopless at that. James frowned and looked at her.
"Jinja your not expected to do everything in this world you know, you've already done so much for all of us, some times people need to learn that it's not always you who will solve every problem" said James with a small smile. Jinja looked at him with a little half hearted laugh.
"What have I ever done for all of you guys?" she sniffed. James gave her a playful hit over the head. "Hey what was that for?" said Jinja rubbing her head.
"Are you serious Jinja? If it wasn't for you, we all would of split up long ago, if it wasn't for you we'd all still be trapped in that stinken lab, if it wasn't for you Sealy would of never found happyness" said James crossing his arms. Jinja looked at him shocked.
"You mean all that?" she said. James nodded.
"Every word" he said with a glint in his eye.
Jinja found herself smiling at him again, "So I do what my heart chooses?" she said. James held his hands up to the air in pride.
"Finally I'm getting through to you!" he said happily. Jinja suddenly frowned.
"But what if that means not going with any of you and running away?" she asked in concern. Jinja was expecting James to lecture her about how she shouldn't leave and how she was being silly and an idiot but instead James was grinning at her and holding out a bag.
"I already knew you would" he said handing her the bag. Jinja smiled happily and stoodup placing Bruno on the ground, she grabbed the bag happily and beamed up at James.
"Thank you so much" she said giving him a big hug. James smiled and hugged her back.
"What are friends for?" he said happily. Jinja smiled and broke the hug.
"Tell Chase to stop being such a ass, oh and please tell Sealy that I love him" she said smiling. James rolled his eyes playfully.
"Go on get out of here before you wake up the whole gang" he chuckled. Jinja smiled and looked down at Bruno.
"Bruno darling lets get going" she said dropping th bag and turning into a great dane. She picked up the bag in her mouth and gave a little nod to James before running off with Bruno right behind her.
James smiled to himself and settled himself down where Jinja used to be seated he watched as the shape of the great Dane and puppy jumping down on rocks, slowly vanishing over the hills, into the woods and to himself with a wide grin he whispered.
"Did I say what are friends for, damn I meant what are cousins for".
The next afternoon
Dax woke up with a yawn. He opened his eyes and sat up and froze, Jinja and Bruno where gone, (He wasn't to bothered by the fact that James was missing). He quickly scrambled to his feet and shook Chase awake, "Little Suno!, come on waky, waky" he snapped. Chase woke up with a start. But when he relised it was just Dax he just glared.
"Yes Dax?" he said annoyed at being woken up.
"Princess and the pup are gone" said Dax in concern. That gave Chase the waking he needed, withen moments Beyal and Bren where up to. Chase looked at the sleeping Rex and Sealy and glared at them before throwing a bag at Sealy's face to wake him up.
"What? God Chase just get lost" yelled Sealy rolling back over.
"Um sorry to inturupted idiot but your girlfriend is missing" yelled Chase in anger before shoving Rex to wake him up. Sealy quickly got up franticly and started panicing. Rex on the other hand had noticed that James wasn't with them eather.
"Sealy James isn't here" he said looking at Sealy. Sealy looked down at him in concern.
"Dax go search the lake, Beyal you and Bren search those berry bushes that we found" said Chase starting to make up a game plan.
"You won't find her there" said a voice from the exit of the cave. Everyone looked that way and saw James leaning agasn't the wall of the cave with a smirk. Chase glared at him.
"What are you on about? Where is Jinja!" he yelled taking a threatening step towards James. James didn't flinch he just grinned.
"She's gone, kapesh, off in wonder land, whatever you wanna call it" he said smirking and as fast as lightning he was pinned up agasn't the wall by Chase.
"YOU SAW HER LEAVE!" He yelled in anger. Sealy quickly came to James as a defence and knocked Chase off him and onto the ground. Dax rushed to Chase's side with Bren and Beyal they had their cores clentched in there hands. Chase rubbed off some blood that was leaking from his mouth and stood back up with a glare.
James brushed himself off still smiling, "You see the thing is that I was the one that helped her make that desision to leave" he said. Sealy turned his head to look at James in shock with Rex.
"Ok mate look we're with you all the way on this" said Rex.
"But really not cool!" snapped Sealy turning his attention back to Chase and the others.
Chase looked like he was ready to explode, "You idiot! What is worng with you?!" he yelled in anger clutching Lock's core harder then before. Rex glared at Chase.
"You better watch it mate, you don't wanna make an enemy out of us" he said witha a glare. Sealy nodded.
"You guys are really starting to piss me off" he said cracking his knuckles. Dax stepped forwards.
"Why you little" Beyal cut him off.
"stop this!" he yelled loud enough to cut everyone off, "Even through I would love nothing better then to punish these guys for what they have done, we have to think of what's best for Jinja" he said. Chase sighed and put Lock's core away.
"Stand down guys" he said.
"Oh come on!" yelled Dax in anger. But still put Boosts core away along with Beyal and Bren. Sealy and Rex smiled.
"Good" they said smugly. "Now James where did Jinja go?" said Sealy looking at him with serious eyes. James sighed and looked away knowing Jinja would most likely kill him if he told what way she went, but he couldn't lie to his best friends basicly his brothers.
"North" he muttered crossing his arms like a stubbon three year old. Sealy nodded, Chase nodded.
"Ok then we better get going, how long ago did she leave?" he asked. James clearly didn't wanna answer that quiestion he looked away and at his feet. "James what did you do this time?" asked Chase crossly. James sighed.
"James it is morning... right?" asked Bren in worry. James frowned.
"I kinda knocked you guys out so you'd stay asleep or knocked out for longer..." he trailed off. Sealy looked at him with wide eyes.
"Well at least that explains the head ache" said Rex rubbing the top of his head.
"Jinja could be anywhere by now!" said Bren in concern. Chase thought for a moment.
"B look up the nearest town apart from Apolo town" he said. After a few moments Bren had found a town, *Coal Town*. "Ok then we head to Coal town right now" said Chase. James stopped him.
"Chase! Jinja left so she didn't have to make the choice between her friends" he said, before feeling a grin come onto his face, "Oh and Jinaj told me to tell you to stop being such an ass Chase" he chcukled. Chase glared at him and pushed past him
"Jinja only has one choice right now and that choice is us" he said coldly walking out of the cave with Beyal, Bren and Dax. Leaving, Sealy, Rex and James standing in the cave.
James looked at Sealy and Rex, "I'm sorry" he muttered looking away. Rex smiled slightly and put a hand on James's shoulder.
"It's alright mate, I forgive you" he said smiling. James beamed up at him before looking at sealy.
"Do you forgive me?" he asked with a adorable smile that could win the hearts of even the most toughest men. Sealy smirked at him and ruffled James's hair.
"Corse I do man" he said pulling both Rex and James into a bear hug. James and Rex smiled and hugged back, staying like that for a few moments before Sealy spoke again. "Now I don't know about you but I don't wanna let Chase beat me to my girlfriend" he said. James smiled.
"Those that meen up, up and away!?" he asked excitedly. Sealy and Rex glanced at each other before nodding. James punched the air smiling, "LETS GO!" He yelled. Rex and Sealy shook their hands.
"James wait! We're inside a cave" yelled Rex. James smiled and raised his hands.
"Sorry what's that I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I am!" he laughed. Sealy groaned and shook his head.
"James awesomeness doesn't have a sound and anyway you can't make us fly in a cave we'll hit our heads and most likely get brain damage or even die" sighed Sealy. James shrugged it off.
"Cave roof no problem" he said as they all started to hear the winds pick up.
"James" said Rex, "What are you doing?" he asked. James smirked.
"Oh making a tornado to suck us out of the cave and into the air, you know the usual stuff".
