Okay so I lied...here's my last one before I leave(;

The inspiration for this one shot was two fold. One, I saw a gifset on Tumblr a while back with Regina and Emma riding in the car, Regina's daughter sitting in the back. At some point the little girl starts doing this hand gesture in which she explains that shes 'calling the forest' and when Emma questions Regina about it she just shrugs and says 'she gets that from her father'. I thought it was the cutest thing and I tried my damnedest to find it for you all but I cannot seem to find a link for the life of me. (oh, on the topic of Tumblr, I have now join the cult-ah, site! If you want more to be addicted to you can find me at ruffledparasols . tumblr . com I have posted a few extra one shots and drabbles there under the 'My Writing' tag, also some BTS for WH, and No Strings currently... I also hear that Inquisitive Dreamer has one too...) Second, I saw this prompt on Mysterious-Songs page and stole it. The prompt was 'an ending.' She wrote her's in her fabulous mini fic, A Window of Opportunity, in which you should read. This was my take.

(also as this is tiny, it is unbeta'd - thank you to my reviewer justanotherwriter00 yesterday that commented on my grammar. thank you! ID has been pushing me to start beta'ing my own work & believing that I can, so your comment meant a lot! MWAH!... also, we shall see about No Strings becoming it's own fic.. I do believe I am heading that way. #ohboy)

"What are you teaching our daughter?"

"What?"

"I said, what are you teaching our daughter?"

"Yes, I heard you." Robin responded, nodding his head as he furrowed his brows, "I asked what because I don't know what your talking about?"

Regina huffed. "The hand thing."

"What hand thing?"

Automatically Regina shot her hand up, placing it on her forehead, pointing three fingers outwards towards him as if there were a three fingered peace sign shooting out from her brain.

Robin stared at her with a look of complete confusion as she wiggled her fingers twice, staring incredulously at him.

"What the hell are you doing?" He asked after a moment.

He had never seen his wife looking so utterly ridiculous. He was torn between calling Emma and reporting her as gone crazy or bursting into laughter at the sheer adorableness of it all.

Regina, however, did not seem to find any humor in this whatsoever. She huffed again, wiggling her fingers once more before speaking.

"The hand thing, you know. The thing Raeshelle keeps doing every time we drive past the forest on her way to school."

Robin stared at his wife again for a moment, carefully looking her up and down before deciding to burst into laughter.

"What is it?! What's so funny?" Regina asked her husband. When the man didn't respond however she whacked him, adding in a threatening tone, "Robin!"

"Two fingers," Robin said, still chuckling as he held up the corresponding digits. "You only are supposed to use two fingers."

"What difference does that make?"

Robin took a step forward, coming into his wife's bubble. Grabbing her hand he folded the extra finger downwards until what she held up was a modified looking peace sign. He then took her hand and moved it back up to her forehead so that the fingers pointed out at him.

"There you go," he said, wiggling the digits, "Now you too can call to the forest."

"What?" Regina asked.

"Mmhmm." Robin said, letting go of his wife and doing the same inane gesture. "Raeshelle asked me how it was that I knew where she was all the time. I told her it was the forest that gave me special powers, kind of like mommy with her magic. She asked if she too could access these said powers and I told her if she did this that the power of the forest would always be with her."

Regina stared at the man in front of her in shock. For a moment she found herself wondering what the hell it was that possessed her to marry such an insane crazy person. But then she found herself smiling instead, shaking her head in laughter.

"You're crazy you know that?" She said as she bit back a chuckle.

"Mmm, crazy enough to marry you." Robin replied.

"Ouch," Regina deadpanned, dropping her hands.

Robin however stepped forward again, a wide smile of his face as he wrapped his arms around his wife. "Only joking M'lady. It would take a truly crazy person not to want to marry you indeed."

"I'm not so sure about that," She replied with a shake of her head.

"Regina you listen to me, I love you. Your son loves you, Roland loves you, our daughter loves you. You have to be crazy not to see all of that. Stop second guessing yourself M'lady, you've changed."

Regina took in a stifling breath which hitched a second at the top before she released it.

"I suppose you're right," she said, tilting her head back up again. The unshed tears in her eyes glistened as they caught the light and Robin squeezed her tighter.

"I know I am," he replied smiling down at the beautiful woman in his arms. "Now if you'll excuse me, I do believe someone is calling me."

"What?" Regina asked as she felt her husband unwrap his arms from around her, his heat instantly disappearing as he stepped backwards.

Robin lifted up his left hand, pointing two fingers out at her as he touched his wrist to his forehead.

"Ah, it's our daughter calling, she says it's time for her to be picked up from school!"

"You're crazy!" Regina yelled as the man ducked around the corner, a wide smile on his face as he yelled a 'crazy in love with you!'

She stood there for a moment, chuckling to herself. She couldn't remember a time before where her life had been so breezy. In the last couple of years things had changed drastically. She had given up power and relinquished her title as mayor in order to stay home and raise Roland and her new daughter. She had cried as she watched her son Henry leave elementary and enter high school, struggling for a bit before he finally found his way. She had experienced loss with the death of her sister, who had unexpectedly passed after childbirth leaving them alone with her baby. She had experienced joy welcoming in the beautiful girl into her family, loving her as if she were her own. And she had experienced true happiness when she learned that she too had become pregnant and was due about 8 months from today.

Standing in the corner of the room Regina smiled to herself. Soon there would be another child in their family. Soon there would be another little baby to love, and tonight she was going to tell her husband that... after she sorted out all of this 'calling the forest nonsense.'
