Bonjour! Je suis de retour! And I have missed you dear friends! To those of you that read and commented on my last authors note, yes! The festival was a blast! It's was bleeding hot however (100 degrees F, 37.7 C!), but we had a great time! I got to hear lots of great music, go behind scenes and be up close and personal some artists. We had a ball - drowning in our sweat, but whose counting(;

This update has been a long time coming. I know my dear friend Nicole is probably wondering why it took so long to come out. Honestly, I'm not completely sure why. It is short, not as lengthy as some of the one shots I have written (though this is a part 2) but there was just something about this fic that gave me mass amounts of trouble. I think it's the fact that I want to do a really good job explaining why and how this comes about and it just wasn't flowing for me for a while there. I had a great question asked of me a while back by a good friend by the name of K. She asked whether I would consider myself to be more of a architect - someone that plans everything out and knows exactly how many chapters and pages there are going to be, when writing, or if I was more of a gardener - someone who has an idea for a story and plants it, like a gardener would a seed, but they have no idea how many flowers are going to bloom nor how many roots are going to take place, they just keep watering it until it's grown. Well, as you may have guessed, I am most definitely a gardener and my crop as of recent as been dry(; But thankfully the rains have come and I have been able to write again!

Do enjoy, and I hope to hear from you all soon! (PS I wonder which one of you will be the first to spot the refrence I made to another OQ fic... hint: it's not a story of mine.)

Ruffles

Part 2

Robin's mind was reeling. An hour before he had been in bed, trying to convince himself that he had done the right thing in choosing to go with his wife, whilst shattering the jagged remains of his soul mates fragile heart in return. Now however, he was on the opposite side of town, choosing to abandon his honor and follow his heart, standing happily in front of the woman that he loved, his soulmate, but somehow also standing behind her evil second self, and he was caught in the cross fire with no idea what to do.

"Robin of Locksley, we meet again." She had hissed.

Had he met the Queen before? No, no he hadn't. He had never laid eyes on her before. Even back in the Enchanted Forest, when he had first met Regina, she may have been dressed in the same attire as the woman before him but she had never been like this before. So cold, so dead, so soulless.

There was nothing in this woman that even remotely resembled the Regina that he knew and yet, there she was, the spitting image of the woman that he had fallen in love with. His soulmate dressed in red and leather.

He shook his head, speaking back to the doppelganger.

"I've never met you before."

The Queen laughed, her chuckle sending what felt like shards of sharp glass through his veins, "Oh but you have dear thief, you've met me countless times."

"What?" Robin thought aloud, unable to stop himself.

The Queen laughed again, this time full out, the sound reverberating off of the cold stone walls of the vault. There was nothing about her laugh however that suggested happiness or joy. It was cold, lifeless, about as cheerful as a blood curdling scream.

Robin shivered, completely caught off his guard as the woman slithered closer with an unhuman-like speed.

"Once, we met a long time ago when I saved your sons life from a flying monkey in the woods and once again when you were my slave, hell bent on finding Snow White in the Enchanted Forest in order to bring her to me so that I would return your heart. Now it appears that we have met here, in the land without magic whilst hunting my deranged sister. We've meet in countless times thief, in countless worlds and diverse realms. But every time we come together the story always seems to be the same. We meet, we fight and somehow we seem to end up sharing a bed," She paused, eyeing him up and down in a way that made Robin feel like he was being sized up by a snake for lunch. With a smirk, the Queen continued. "This time appears to be no different."

Robin shook his head, completely taken aback. "No, no I have never met you before." He insisted, feeling the wheels in his head starting to whirl and he was tempted to raise a hand up to his head to stop the pressure that was rising up in between his temples.

There was something about this woman. Something that made him second guess and doubt himself. What she was saying was crazy, there was no way he had met her before, and yet, he could not find it in himself to dismiss her completely.

"You know what I say is true," The Queen said with a snarl, "you can feel this pull that we have between us just as much as you can feel the need to take your next breath. You know what it feels like to be with me. To touch me. To be under me. Inside of me." she punctuated her last words with a hiss that, at the same time as it made Robin's heart feel like it was going to stop, it also sent a shiver of a arousal down his spine.

He stared at her, dumbstruck. This woman was insane!

There was a moment where he was sure that he saw a flicker of something spark up behind her blackened eyes, as if a light had gone off in her mind and she had decided that she was finally going to pounce, but then she spoke again.

"Wait," the Queen rattled, her dark eyes now flickering between him and his soul mate behind him, landing dangerously on Regina. She seemed to analyze her for a moment, her beady, black eyes ranking Regina up and down as if she were trying to peer into her soul. "You two have laid together already, haven't you?" She questioned more than stated.

There was silence, the echo's of the Queen's anguine voice still reverberating off of every wall in the vault threateningly.

Robin stood still, unsure of what to say or do. He knew the answer to the Queen's question but there was no way he was going to fill the crazed woman in about the already complicated relationship that he had with his soulmate. His mind was still stuck on the words she had uttered moments before, about their meetings prior to this. He could remember meeting Regina in the Enchanted Forest after an attack from her sisters flying monkeys, and once again here in Storybrooke, when he nearly shot her with an arrow, thinking she was one of those said monkeys. But he couldn't place the third time the Queen had mentioned. He was frozen, paralyzed to the spot but he felt his heart beat skip when the voice of the Queen rang out again, louder this time.

"Haven't you?" she hissed.

"No."

Robin felt his heart - which had been pounding too loudly - stop the moment that he heard the other voice enter the conversation. She answered so timidly, so quietly, if all of his senses hadn't been on high alert he probably would have never heard her.

"What was that dear? I cannot hear you, you need to speak up." The Queen said, mockingly.

Robin turned his head, catching a glimpse of his soulmate, who had now come out from where she had been hiding behind him. Her hands were shaking and her beautiful brown eyes were red rimmed with unshed tears, but her head was held high. Everything about her made him remember that she was still royalty.

She cleared her throat once. When she spoke again however, her voice was just barely more then a whisper, but it was steady. "No."

"Regina -" He began, trying to get her to stop, but it was no use her mind was made up, he could see it in the way she held herself.

Her back was ramrod straight, the shaking in her body had stopped. The way her fingers continued to twitch every few seconds however tipped him off that she was still coming down from her nervous break but nothing else about her gave any sign of fear away. Her body seemed to be under her complete control. Her eyes were glassy but unblinking, her breathing completely even and measured. It wasn't until Robin realized that the timing between her inhales and exhales was the exact same duration of five sections apart that he understood she was counting her breaths.

Out of the corner of his eye he saw the serpentine like figure of the Queen moving, slithering unhumanly fast towards them once again, but he kept his eyes fixed on Regina. She didn't flinch. There was something in her eyes. A fierce determination of her willpower. It was a small thing, nothing like the virulent poison reflected in the black pools of other woman before him, but it was still there.

"No?" The Queen repeated when she was close enough to say it in a whisper. He would have sworn he heard a deep growl come from her majesty but his thoughts were once again silenced as she hissed out her next response, letting her words rattle at the end. "Why not?"

Regina didn't answer.

It took a grand total of three seconds before the Queen was moving again and Robin watched as the evil doppelganger flicked her wrist and a swirl of smoke emitted from it, surrounding Regina in a cloud of deep purple.

"No!" He reached out, but it was no use.

The Queen rounded on him, casting her head back and flicking her hand out towards him as well, "Stay there," she bellowed as she froze him to the spot.

Robin was helpless to obey, he watched as she turned back and his Regina reappeared again, this time on the other side of the room. Her arms were pulled taught up above her head, binned by some invisible force that was shackling her to the wall. She struggled once against the magical bindings but to no avail. She was completely immobilized.

Feeling the icy cold wisps of magic tickling his face, Robin snapped his head back around to see the serpentine like woman now standing directly in front of him. A infernal snarl was painted on her blood red lips and he felt his heartbeat stutter as she charged towards him. She stopped suddenly however, turning her body slowly so that the glittering gems of her plunging neckline and the blood red ruby's that encrusted the outer shell of her razor sharp collar flickered in the dim vault light. When she ceased moving, she spoke again her voice as black as the night, directing her words towards Regina.

"Now sit back and watch, dear." Came her low hiss, her usually viperous tone now husky, almost carnal. "I'm going to show you how this is done."

There was a moment where Regina found herself praying that this was just a bad dream. But, as she watched the other her grab Robin by his shirt, thrusting his muscled body backwards until his toned back hit the cold stone wall of the vault, she knew this was no nightmare. This was very much as real as that morning, in her house, when she had been brewing herself a pot of coffee, trying not to pay attention to the soul shattering ache that she felt deep in her gut whenever she thought of how Robin used to come up behind her and kiss her palms before making his way up to her neck in an attempt to tell her that he loved her, before making her the best pot of coffee that she had ever had.

The second the Queens blood red lips were on Robin's, her highly exposed décolletage pressing roughly into his front, probably leaving dents in his chest, Regina felt her breath leave her body. She watched her former self kiss senseless the man she had been thinking about nonstop for the past week and she screwed her eyes shut to keep her tears from falling.

The Queen let her hands trail up Robin's sides, grabbing his lax ones and bringing them forcefully to her fabric covered hips. She ground herself into his lower half and Regina heard the audible groan that escaped from Robin's throat before the Queen pulled back. Her sharp teeth grazing over Robin's now bruised lower lip, and pulling it back with her, releasing it with a wet 'smack'.

Regina released her breath, not even realizing that she had been holding one until his eye's met her's. They were dark, clouded with confusion and mixed with an undeniable amount of lust, however there were little shimmers of regret left in the shiny orbs and she found her heart breaking for him at the sight.

"Robin I'm so sorry, I-" she croaked, but the Queen had already began to round on her, the molten amber of her eyes finding her own and burning holes straight through them.

"We never apologize for taking what we want," She spat.

"No, you don't," Regina heard herself say, "but I'm not you."

The Queen laughed, the sound as heartwarming as the shrill whine of nails on a chalkboard.

Regina closed her eyes, opening them again only when she turned her head back, finding Robin who had finally gotten himself out of his position of being molded against the wall, and had made his way over to her, standing by side. "Robin -" she tried again, but she was cut off. This time however it wasn't by her evil doppelganger. No. This time it was by Robin. With his soft lips on hers.

Regina gasped.

Her eyes flew wide open, nearly crossing as she made out the fuzzy image of Robin's face right before her. He was kissing her! Actually kissing her, and not chastly. This was not just one of his soft pecks on the cheek to tell her that he cared for her. No, this was full on, mouth to mouth, tongue on tongue. It was heart felt and lustful, with a passion that stole every ounce of her remaining will power to fight him right from her body.

She kissed him back, feeling the restraints on her arms fading away and her hands beginning to move of their own accord, wrapping around his broad shoulders, fingers going into his sandy blonde hair, pulling him infinitesimally closer to her until all breathing room between them was lost and there was nothing but him.

His arms were around her, his scent entrapped her. Everything about him was welling up and drowning out her senses. If she were to open her eyes right then she would have been able to see nothing but his face for he had taken over her whole being.

But she wouldn't open her eyes. She wanted this. If she was honest, she would admit that she had been wishing for this since the moment that his previously deceased wife had made her untimely appearance back into town. She had been hoping, praying even, that something - anything! - in him would snap and that he would hang his code for just one day, abandoning his honor and just follow his heart; right back to her.

She moaned, melting into him as she felt his strong muscles flexing under her palms. This was what she had dreamed of. Maybe not in this particular circumstance. But she had dreamed of him. Of them being together. The way his body molded so perfectly into hers right then almost made her think that they had been made from the same cloth, separated only at the time of their birth, as some sort of cruel test to see if they would ever find each other once again. But they had and now he was here, not with Marian, but with her. Regina felt her heart flutter.

Robin moved the hand which had been wrapped around her back downwards. She gasped as she felt him grip her tightly, grabbing a good fistful of her ass and pulling her towards himself. Her lips broke away from his momentarily as her mouth opened in surprise, but his lips were back on hers instantly, leaving a trail of soft kisses at the corners of her pout, catching her low moan in his mouth before it could escape. Slowly, his warm tongue slipped in between her lips, stealing her breath away as it mingled with hers and she could do nothing but stand there, basking in the sensations of his strong hands caressing her, the roughness of his stubble on her cheek and the sweetness of his tongue on hers.

It wasn't until she felt the presence of another body, brushing past hers, leaving ghost trails on her skin that shivered down her spine, that she remembered the third person in the room.

Regina's eyes flew open, instantly spotting the Queen who was currently circling behind Robin, a devious look in her dark eyes. The woman had had enough time to get closer to them as Robin had been distracting her and she had fallen too far into their own bubble of bliss to notice. She pulled pack, instantly missing the feeling of Robin's lips on hers, but she didn't care as the heated gaze that she was getting from her evil doppelganger self began sending shocks through her body.

"Please, don't stop on my account." The Queen said with a dark chuckle as she continued to circle, "I'm just enjoying the build up before the show."

"What the hell are you talking about?" Regina responded.

"What? You didn't think I was going to let you have all the fun and take him all by yourself now did you?"

Suddenly, there was a flash and Regina felt her eyes squint as the dim lighting of the candles that lit up the interior of the vault went out, suddenly replaced by bright flame. She turned her head, spotting what she could only describe as a massive floating fireball burning in the not to far distance, casting the vault into an searing, amber glow. The flame hovered just a few feet off of the ground, somehow managing to scintillate rapidly without going out or lighting anything else around it on fire. She turned her head back, noticing that there were more than one of these floating infernos lighting up the room. Without warning, a cloud of thick purple smoke disrupted her view and she snapped back, just in time to see the Robin's body being completely engulfed by the magic emanating from the Queens velvet-gloved hand.

She could feel the fear rising in her chest however a second later he reappeared, his body looking untouched, clothes unscathed, only his position had changed. He was still standing in front of her, however now he wasn't able to hold her close nor kiss her senseless for he was at her side. His face was still turned to her but his body was backed up, pressing against that of the evil queen, sandwiching him in between herself and her evil monarch.

Regina shook, feeling an ice cold shower of fear rush through her body. This was all her fault. Robin wouldn't be here in this mess if it weren't for her. She could see the Queen standing behind him, her mouth open, poisonous pink tongue coming out and wetting her sinuous lips as her long, velvet clad middle finger ran up the length of his shoulder, following the curve of his neck, and tracing the outline of the vein that protruded there, disappearing just behind his ear. Regina was about raise her hand, all she needed to do was flick her wrist once and whisper a few words and she could fix this. She could magic Robin out of the room and away from her evil counterpart but as she did so, she felt her wrist become limp as her body froze and her voice gave out.

"Ah, ah. No magic dear. It's time for you to stop running from yourself and remember who you are again. It's time for you to take what you want without the thought of being sorry. It's time Regina, for you to come out and play."
