"Victoria won't be happy about my killing you, but I can't help myself. You are so mouth-watering."
Bella couldn't identify the voice; she looked around confused. "Victoria? What." She shouted into the forest.
She heard an evil laugh and saw a flash on red eyes in front of her; the rest of the creature was consumed in the darkness of the forest.
She shuddered as it laughed again. "I'm doing you a kindness she plans on killing you slowly..."
It stepped out; the body she couldn't make out but she knew what it was. It smiled at her and then it bared its teeth. Bella jumped at a deep growl and turned, a dark silver wolf walked up next to her and its huge eye scanned her before running in the forest after the source the red eyes vanished.
Bella jumped up and gasped at Paul reaching out at her. He pulled back, "Sorry I didn't mean to scare you."
She shook her head and grabbed his arm, pulling him close. "You didn't." She hugged him and he wrapped an arm around her.
"Everything okay?"
"Just a bad dream, I'm okay." He nodded, and looked towards the window. "Damn."
Bella's head shot up and looked around. "What?"
"The Cullen is around."
Bella bit her lip. "Paul promise me you'll be careful." He raised an eyebrow at her. "What now?"
"I don't think you know what you're dealing with." She said looking down shyly. Paul undid her grip on him and stood up. "What are you talking about?"
"Vampires! Paul, they are vampires and I don't want you hurt."
Paul refrained from yelling at her and took a deep breath. "Trust me we can handle those leeches."
"You knew?" Bella said throwing the covers off of her and sitting up. Paul looked her over and smirked. "Yes, Bella. It's what we do we take out the bloodsuckers."
He slid back on the bed and smiled. "We can handle the bloodsuckers with no problem." He touched her chin. "Wanna tell me about your dream?"
She snuggled up with him and sighed. "You were there in your...form and you chased off a vampire."
"What?"
"It- it said something about a Victoria killing me." She said looking up at froze for a moment. He remembered the scene she was describing and he couldn't help but smile that her memory put him where Jacob was.
"It's nothing to worry about. I promise you." A sharp snap and Paul scoffed. "Temper temper." He stood next to the window and narrowed his eyes.
"Stay in the house Bella." She looked at him and walked up to the window; Edward met her eyes and took a small step.
Paul put an arm around her."I can't protect you here, but he won't hurt you." He said through clenched teeth.
Bella grabbed his arm. "I'll come with you."He hesitated for a moment but then nodded, she flashed him a smile before throwing on some jeans and a shirt.
She grabbed his hand and they headed out . Edward was in Paul's face quickly. "If you care for her you'll tell her the truth."
Paul scoffed. " You weren't even there."
He grabbed Bella and continued to walk, Edward grabbed her other arm and spun her around. "Don't tell me you've chose him."
She opened her mouth but no words came out, Jacob ran up. " Thats exactly what I said." Leah ran up to Jacob and grabbed his hand.
Paul raised an eyebrow. "You two a thing now?" Jacob shrugged and his eyes locked on Edward.
"Why did you come here?" Edward frowned. " I could ask you the same thing, Jacob." Jacob shared a look with Leah and took a step forward. They undid their hands and Leah ran behind him.
Paul grabbed Bella's waist and moved her away from the madness that was about to pursue. "What is going on?" He shouted, watching them circle around Edward.
"Don't hurt him!" Bella gasped, trying to walk towards Edward. Paul sneered at her and she turned to him with pleading eyes. " Don't let them hurt him."
Jacob ran forward and transformed, knocking into Edward; only to get thrown away. Leah transformed and rushed him. Edward was able to move, he looked at Bella for a split second before turning in running down the road.
"Stop!"
Jacob and Leah looked back at Bella before chasing after him.
"Paul!" She shouted, grabbing at him. He groaned and ran after them transforming halfway through.
"What the hell! Sam you seeing this?"
"Stop them! We are on the way!"
Paul ran faster, he made it to the Cullen just in time to see Leah lunge forward and get a grip on the pixie haired girls arm and tear it off.
She cried out and Jasper got a grip on Leah. Jacob was too busy trying to get to Edward to notice. Paul growled and bumped into Leah to help her shake the leech off.
Same and the pack jumped to the house and Sam examined the scene, Alice was in Carlisle arms, he held an arm in his hand and Sam noticed it was hers.
Jasper managed to get on Pauls back and hold on. Sam lunged at them and got Jasper in his mouth, he tightened the more Jasper struggled.
"Jasper!" Alice shouted frantically. Esme pulled Rose and Emmett closer to her. Jacob lunged at Edward again and got knocked away, Paul ran in between them. Jacob growled.
"Move or you will go down with him."
"Jacob stop what will this prove.""Everything."
Leah attacked Paul and Jacob got Edward down and snapped at him.
The clunk of a truck pulling up made everyone stop. Bella hopped out the truck and stared wide eyed at the scene. "Paul!"
Paul bit down on Leah neck and flung her off him. He ran up to Bella and nudged her softly. "Please, don't hurt any of them."
"Too late for that!" Rosalie shouted, Leah growled at her and Emmett put himself in between them.
Bella noticed Edward on the ground and Jacob towering over him. "Stop" She ran over and hit the large wolf. Jacob growled.
Edward tried to get up, "Bella no!" She hit the wolf again, Jacob barked and flung himself in the direction of Bella and snapped at her. Paul charged Jacob and got flung, knocking into Bella she gasped and fell.
Her vision got blurry and she closed her eyes, when she opened them again Paul stood over her in his human form. " Bella! I'm so sorry! Bella!"
She tried to reach for him, but everything went black.
