Thanks again to Star! Any mistakes are mine, I hope this is okay at least for all of you. I haven't actually read the chapter in a while -_-

She appeared outside their small, quaint home and smiled up at it. Walking up the faded steps she let herself in with the flick of her grace and closed the door behind her. Hanging her jacket up on the coat hanger she walked closer to the hushed voices coming from the kitchen. Turning the corner she saw Gabe and Lance sitting at the counter in an intense conversation. Lance looked up and his eyes flashed in greeting and relief. Gabe turned around and nodded at her.

"Amy, you okay?" he asked. His voice sounded worried and he looked shaken. She frowned gently and padded over giving him a kiss on the cheek. She could feel his shoulders relax when she did that and his eyes soften.

"I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?" she asked curiously as she looked between the two of them.

At that precise moment Missy came strutting into the kitchen. She looked glossy and picture perfect even though she had just woken up from sleeping. Glancing over, she took in Amy's appearance with a quick perusal and nodded. "Amy, glad to see you back."

She offered her own tight lipped smile. "Missy, good to be back."

"Where did you go?" asked Lance as Missy moved behind him, opened the fridge and took out a bottle of water.

She joined them, sitting down at the counter. Lacing her fingers in front of her she looked up at them. "I went to go see Sam and Dean."

Gabe stiffened beside her slightly and looked over at her. "Why?"

She swallowed. "I found a book that detailed them and me in its pages. Actually we all were in it. It was the mystery spot. Some author, somehow, had all the details about what happened that day correct. I had to go see what was going on."

"And you didn't think that maybe we should have gone with you?"

Amy's eyes narrowed somewhat when she looked at Gabe. "No offense, Gabe, but you guys don't exactly have the best track record with each other."

Gabe looked over at Lance, and the warlock put his hands up defensively. "Hey, bro don't look at me for backup on this one. She's right."

"Whatever," he said rolling his eyes.

"And what did you find?" asked Missy.

"Turns out the guy is a prophet of the lord. That's how he could see things that were happening with Sam and Dean, and the people they interacted with," explained Amy.

Missy nodded her head as she looked off into the distance. "Yeah, those," she paused and took another pull of her water, "Mark was a dumbass."

Amy and Lance both looked at her in surprise. She merely glanced at the both of them then shrugged her shoulders. "What? It's my opinion so sue me."

Lance shook his head. "So is this guy a threat?"

She shook her head in denial. "No, he's kind of a drunk, out on his luck. I mean, it's not like he makes things happen around him he just sees it before it actually comes to pass."

Lance rubbed his chin, slightly stubbled with hair growth. "Well, isn't that a good thing then? We could use him and then avoid everything he says is gonna happen."

"No, it's not that easy," Amy explained, "we tried that. It never worked. We tried to leave town, the road gave out. We switched what we ate and still something got botched and we had the orders we were supposed to. It didn't matter how hard we tried to avoid it, it all came to pass."

Lance sighed. "Well it was an idea."

"What else happened?" asked Missy.

She rubbed her eyes tiredly. "Well I got to meet Lilith."

The three of them all froze and looked at her. Gabe appeared like he was going to have a heart attack. Lance looked like he had swallowed a melon, but Missy just kept gazing calmly at her.

"So how is my old broad?" asked Missy sarcastically, "Mom was always a joy, especially over baby showers."

Lance choked and stared at her wide eyed. Amy's eyebrows sky rocketed at that, but Lance beat her to the punch. "Wait, your mom is Lilith?! Who the fuck is your daddy then? Lucifer?" he asked this jokingly starting to crack up. When he realized no one was laughing with him and Missy just smirked at him his face paled. "You've gotta be joking me. You're the devils kid?"

Before she could answer an indignant squawk echoed from the archway leading into the kitchen from the other side. Jazz stood there in her tank and shorts; her hair tousled from sleeping on it all night. Her eyes were blown wide open as she stared aghast at Missy.

"Your Lucifer's and Lilith's baby girl?! Don't you think that would have been a good thing to tell me, BEFORE we started dating?!" she shrieked.

Missy turned to look at her. "I thought that was something you didn't share on the first date."

"HANG ON. YOU TWO ARE DATING AGAIN?" Lance shouted looking like he was ready to pop a blood vessel. "WHERE THE HELL HAVE I BEEN?"

"Good question," Gabe remarked from across the table, as Jazz turned beat red. "Maybe if you got your head out of your ass…"

Amy sighed as she got up and walked over to the fridge and started rummaging around inside it. In the back ground she listened to her friends argue and work everything out. Sometimes she forgot why she liked living with them, but it was always good to be home.

3 Months Later

Amy walked out into the somewhat balmy air of Ilchester, Maryland. She breathed deeply and allowed the sweet scent of cut grass, the pungent aroma of gardens overloaded with flowers, and the exhaust from the cars as they drove by to overwhelm her senses. While the last one wasn't exactly comforting it was nice to think that the world was still a crawling anthill of people. It didn't matter what time of night it currently was, there would always be people up and about.

Walking over, she leaned against the railing with Lance looking out at the houses and condos below them. The night was very quiet and still; they could hear the singing of the crickets in the ditches and bushes. Turning to look at Lance she smiled gently at him.

"How you doing?" She asked quietly.

Lance sighed. "Well, it's still all kind of, I don't know, jaw dropping," he said jokingly to her.

She couldn't help but snort as he gave a small laugh at it too. "Yeah, I know what you mean."

Lance smiled at her. "Honestly? I'm not that surprised. Jazz was always crazy about her, and don't ask me why. Missy treated her terribly the first time around. I guess, maybe, its opposites attracting, and their opposites in every sense of the word."

"Yeah, I guess as long as she's happy," Amy said thinking aloud.

Lance nodded. "You two are like my sisters; I feel like I have to watch out for you."

Amy turned at him, slightly shocked by the confession he had just dropped on her. "Really? I thought you always harbored those tragic romance feelings towards Jazz?"

Lance snorted at that. "Yeah, Aim. Once upon a time there was a young warlock who once did harbor those feelings. But that was a long time ago; it's not like it was recent."

Amy nodded her head at that in understanding. "Ohh so Jazz may be leading me on a bit there?"

Lance laughed. "Oh there's no question about it there. Besides, with you two like my sisters and Gabe always getting into trouble someone needs to be there to watch you guys."

"What about Missy? I didn't hear her in there."

Lance shrugged good naturedly. "Missy's a bitch. She'll be fine just on default and principle."

Amy looked at Lance aghast and shocked, as her jaw dropped down to the floor. "Lance," she squeaked.

"What?" He asked at her bemused expression, "Oh come on, you can't deny it. Every group needs one it seems. But it's funny, as much as she pisses me off, I don't know what I would do without her around anymore. She's kind of become part of the family. Grudgingly I'll admit, but still a piece of it."

She smiled gently at his confession and looked back out to the relatively quiet night. The two of them lapsed into comfortable silence for a time. Lance cleared his throat after a few minutes and she looked at him in curiosity.

"How are things with you and Gabe?"

She shrugged at that. Things seemed to have ground to a halt where the trickster was concerned. Something was wrong with him though, she couldn't exactly place her finger on it, if it was the fact of the apocalypse or something else troubling him. He had been short tempered lately and broodish not exhibiting his former enthusiasm for every little thing. Even his laughter seemed to have ground to a halt. She had also noticed the same thing happening with Missy; not that that was anything huge, but the nephilim had turned more recluse lately, staying in her own room more and not socializing with anyone.

"Gabe is Gabe," she said as means of explanation.

"Still have a mighty hurtle to jump I take it?"

She sighed tiredly as she traced random patterns on the wooden balustrade that she was gripping. "I'm fine right now to be perfectly honest, Lance. I do wish he would trust me more, but I think he'll tell me what's going on soon. I just want him to know that I'm there."

Lance looked at her, his eyes weary. "Amy, if I thought Gabe wouldn't strangle me if I told you I would. But I really think he has to tell you this on his own."

She bit her lip. "It's okay, Lance," she said licking the abused tissue, "I'm fine with it. And don't worry I know."

He smiled thinly at her. "So how goes the whole thing with, Pandora?"

Amy rolled her eyes and huffed with irritation, as she smacked her head with her palm. "Ugh, that's a whole other thing."

Lance snorted at her reaction. "So I take it nowhere near closer to figuring it all out?"

Amy huffed and blew breath out from her puffed up cheeks. "No," she said hanging her head dejectedly, "I don't know what I'm going to do with that though, Lance."

Lance coked his head to the side; suddenly, his eyes widened and he asked her hesitantly, "Amy? Have you never thought to try the horn?"

Amy frowned in confusion. "What ho-" Then she stopped in midsentence and turned to him her eyes open wide. She placed a shaking hand up to cover her mouth. "Oh my god, Lance!" she squealed, "That's it! But wait, I thought it was dangerous?"

Lance shrugged. "It is, but it's the only thing I could think of for sure."

Suddenly, and with startling swiftness a bright beam of light shot directly up into the sky; a wave of fire, brimstone and sulfur hit her with the force of a runaway semi and she gagged at the harsh smell. It smelled like something that had been imprisoned for a millennia slowly rotting away on itself until there was barely anything left. She placed a hand over her mouth and nose in an effort to stop her from puking as she stared up at the bright light.

"Amy!" Gabe shouted and ran over to her. He grabbed her tightly in his arms and looked out at the light.

She went willingly into his arms. In his embrace she felt safe, as if nothing could touch her, and nothing ever would. However, when she looked up at him his face was ashen and his eyes wide. "Gabe what is that?" She shouted to him.

He seemed to be too shocked to answer her though and the next thing she knew, and heard, was screaming coming from behind him. Twisting in his grasp she looked over at Missy, inside the living room. The sliding glass door had been fully pushed open allowing her voice to ricochet and increase in volume.

"Missy! What's wrong?!" she shouted to her. Before she could go to the nephilim the bright light faded and quiet returned to the area. She heard people from below them and on the street exclaiming about the light and shouting to one another. It was at that point that she realized Missy was quiet.

Ripping away from Gabe, she ran into the living room, dropping onto her knees next to Jazz and Lance on the floor, each on either side of the heaving nephilim. She could still hear the occasional whimpers and dry sobs as she slowly calmed down. She placed a comforting hand on her back and rubbed it soothingly in an effort to help her along.

"Missy, are you okay? What's wrong? Do you know what that was?" she asked her the questions just spilling from between her lips like a river unleashed from behind a dam.

Missy looked up at her with bloodshot eyes. "It's happened."

Amy frowned at her in confusion. "What's happened? Missy?"

She sobbed and took a great shuddering breath. "Lucifer. He's free."

Time and even the world itself seemed to stop at that announcement.

5 Hours Later

~x~

She was in the bathroom brushing her teeth and splashing her face with ice cold water. Gripping the sides of the sink, she saw her scars shine out at her with a silvery sheen. Shaking her head she rubbed her eyes and pinched the bridge of her nose.

It felt surreal as if she was stuck in a dream. This couldn't have happened, it just couldn't have. How? Why? Her mind refused to fathom that which it already knew to be true. Besides, she couldn't deny the complete and utter look of destruction upon Missy's face when it had happened. The blonde nephilim was completely torn up and before she had left their dining room table for the night, she had still observed her shaking noticeably. Jazz had went with her to try to offer whatever comfort that she could.

Her mind flashed back to that conversation that had only ended mere moments ago.

"How is this possible?" asked Lance in a dead pan voice. He seemed completely devoid of emotion as he stared down at the smooth table top.

"All the seals were broken," Missy croaked out from her abused throat.

"So what does this mean now?" whispered Jazz quietly as the silence enfolded them from all sides.

"He takes a vessel," Gabe spoke up finally. She looked at him and was shocked to see the drawn expression taking over his features, "He'll circle around until he finds a suitable vessel, then once he takes it…" he threw his hands up in defeat and refused to finish what he was about to say.

"What can we do to stop it?" asked Jazz looking at each of them.

"Nothing."

Jazz turned to Missy aghast. "Bullshit! There's always something we can do! Isn't there?! Guys, come on! I can't be the only one that's optimistic!"

"Jazz, don't be an idiot. There's nothing we can do. Once he takes a vessel it begins," Missy said quietly.

"What begins?"

Before Missy could answer however, she doubled over and clutched her head. Jazz moved to help steady her shaking, and gazed fearfully at Amy at a complete loss as to what to do. Amy got up and helped support her from the other side as they waited for Missy to have some control over herself again.

"It's too late," she mumbled out quietly.

"You mean?"

She nodded. "He's taken a vessel. It begins."

"But what begins?" asked Jazz still confused.

"The apocalypse," Amy whispered out. Missy looked up at her when she said it and slowly nodded confirming her worse fears.

That had been mere minutes ago. After that, everyone had felt too tired to really do much else except curl up and lose themselves in their respective dreams.

Putting her toothbrush away she walked back into the dark room; a slant of moonlight shone into the room illuminating a piece of the large bed and the prone form laying in it already. Walking over, she climbed onto the free side then turned. Gabe's back was to her but she knew he was still up. Scooting closer to him she wrapped an arm around his waist and snuggled into his back. She could feel him shift under her cheek and grip her hand, but otherwise didn't move.

"It's going to be okay," she whispered into the darkness. "We'll figure something out." She sighed slowly and forced her body to relax, groaning mentally as she felt her muscles loosen one by one. "Just don't leave me."

Gabe turned around then and wrapped his arms around her in a protective embrace. She snuggled closer and pillowed her head on his chest just below his chin. His hands gripped her tightly and she felt warm and safe in his embrace. She sighed as the rest of the tension left her body.

Leaning down he kissed the top of her head. "I won't ever leave you alone."

With that she promptly fell asleep, the exhaustion of the night finally taking its toll. She totally forgot about what Lance had told her on the balcony about the horn and let the worries of her day bleed out of her. She never noticed Gabe staying up guarding her all night as he looked out at the moon peeking through the curtains new lines having appeared around his eyes.
