"Damnit Jacob!"

"Damnit Jacob? No one told you to move, Paul."

"You snapped at her what was I supposed to do?"

"Hey!" Same shouted walking up to the two. "Arguing is not helping anyone right now."

Leah leaned against Seth, who pushed her away and shook his head. She grabbed his arm. "What is your problem?"

He looked up at her. "You hurt one of them, they didn't do anything to you."

She glanced at Alice, her arm was reattached but you could see the scar. She and Jasper had been huddled up since they arrived at the hospital.

"Thank god we didn't kill the doctor." Leah mumbled. Paul turned on her quickly "You're always trying to mess things up."

Jacob moved in front of Leah and glared at Paul. "Do not turn this on her." Paul cackled and raised his arms. " If you two are so lovey dovey now why do you still want Bella?"

Edward cocked his head over at Paul. "Why did you try and help me?"

"Bella asked me to."

Edward rolled his eyes. " I know but like Jacobs idea, with me gone you would have been in the clear."

Paul shook his head slowly. "I wouldn't have put her through that. She loves you, she may not know exactly why but she knows she does."

Everyone got quiet and Paul slumped against the wall. The hospital door opened and everyone perked up. Carlisle looked at Edward. "She's fine, she fell on a rock but the cut was not that deep. She blacked out from shock and stress."

Paul turned his head and Sam put a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"She wants to see you, Edward."

His head shot up and he was at Carlisle side quicker than he meant to move. Paul grunted. "What?"

Sam grabbed his arm and shook his head. "Not the place." Paul shrugged away. "Did she mention me?"

"No."

Sam inched closer and Paul gripped his arm. "I need to leave." Esme sighed, "Paul."

"Dont! I-" He turned and ran out the doors with Sam and Seth on his heels. Jacob slow clapped before glancing at Leah. "He won after all."

Edward frowned. "We don't even know what she wants."

Leah scoffed. "You." She tilted her head towards the exit and Jacob grabbed her hand and they left.

Edward shook his head and followed Carlisle, Charlie looked his way and grunted. "Why are you involved every time something happens."

Edward opened his mouth and shut it, Carlisle patted his back. "I'll apologize for my son." Charlie nodded and Carlisle handed him some papers. "Can you follow me and i'll walk you through this."

Charlie looked at Bella and she smirked and nodded. Once they were out of sight, Edward walked slowly to her bedside.

"You asked for me?"

"I wanted to know your side." She said slowly. Edward thought for a moment.

"You weren't even there."

"Youre wondering about what Paul meant when we were in front of your house."

She nodded and he sat on her bed. "This is the third time ive seen you like this." he said brushing his hand across her cheek.

She glanced at her hands and back up at him. "I'm with Paul." she said shyly.

Edward snorted. "Then why isn't he here?"

She looked at the door and back at him. "He- he's not here?"

"None of the wolf pack are, just my family."

"Oh."

Edward touched her cheek again. "About your dream, it's also a memory. It's all my fault and it all started on your 18th birthday."

Bella laughed. "Alice got me a ridiculous dress." she stated and stared at him, he laughed "This might jog your memory a bit more."

Paul transformed and was running, he didn't have a destination he just knew he wanted to be far away from there. Sam jumped out in front of him and Paul managed to jump over him, and turn to face him.

"Your temper Paul"

"I have a right to be upset, Sam!"

"Don't be a fool over her."

"I don't give a damn about her!"

"Then why are you running."

Paul dropped his head. "Because for a moment I thought it was real." He turned and ran towards the house and transformed back, Sam followed sue.

Howls pierced the air and Paul looked at Sam. "You should have stopped this before it began." Sam nodded.

Paul gasped. "The treaty?"

Sam cursed under his breath. " I'll figure it out. One of them did get hurt and even then they didn't hurt one of us."

Emily skipped out the house. "I guess they are just good people despite the blood sucking." Sam chuckled. "They don't suck the blood from people."

Paul groaned and leaned against the house. "Should I let her go?" Emily cocked her head and looked at Sam.

"Aww sweety. You do what you think is best."

Laughter cut her off and they all looked towards the source. Jacob and Leah came tumbling down a hill, he helped her up and ran towards the house.

"Paul you still moping around?" Jacob joked, Paul went to jump on him but Emily grabbed his arm. "Jake stop teasing your brother."

Sam chuckled. "It wasn't that long ago when you felt the same way."

Jacob raised his hands. "Bella does that to you."

Leah raised an eyebrow and Jacob poked her. "At least I have someone for now."

"Never seen that coming." Embrys voice broke through. Jacob ran up to him and playfully jumped on him.

Jared high-fived Leah. " Good job at getting a grip on the leeches arm." She giggled. "Practice." her eyes wandered and met Seths, he shook his head and went straight in the house.

"Give him time. He'll get over it." Jacob laughed in her ear. Paul thought for a moment and took off in the woods.

"Should someone go with him?" Emily asked the group. Sam laughed and grabbed her. " I think he can handle it."

Paul crept towards Bellas house, he knew Edward would hear him regardless but that didnt stop him.

He peeked at her house and his knees buckled, Edward helped her out the door and she turned and smiled at him. "So we were to be married huh?"

Edward nodded and pulled out the ring. "You accepted, but circumstances prolonged it."

Paul hit the ground and ran out, Bella spotted him and grinned. "Paul." He walked past her and glared at Edward. "I bet your happy."

"Its a misunderstanding, Paul."

"What's to misunderstand?" Paul sneered, Bella looked confused and touched his arm. "Whats wrong?"

He pushed her arm off him and shook his head. "This is over."

Bella took a step back. " What did I do, if I did something. I'm sorry." Paul snorted and turned his back. "You should be."

"Paul!" He paused for a moment. "Don't leave me."

He balled his fist and took off in a run. "You left me." he whispered, disappearing into the forest.
