A/N: Wow second last chapter everyone! The last one will be posted tomorrow, not sure when. It's not long like 3 pages if that. So without further ado umm enjoy!
Celest ^I^
Amy rubbed the bridge of her nose as she stared down at the object in her hand. It couldn't be could it? She knew it was possible, but really she must be the most unlucky person on this planet! Her heart was beating a million miles a minute and she took a shaky breath, her blonde hair falling on either side of her face, creating a curtain for her to hide behind. She felt protected underneath the hair, it wasn't logical to feel that way especially since her hair couldn't protect her, but she felt like it was her own private bubble as long as she stayed within its confines. Her hand trembled as she gazed at the small stick again.
'What do I do?' she thought to herself dejectedly. She lightly banged her head back against the wall behind the toilet, closing her eyes as she tried to calm down.
A knock at the door knocked her out of her trance like state and she was catapulted into action.
"Amy? You gonna come to the kitchen? Gabe needs to speak with all of us, he says it's urgent," Jazz's voice called from beyond the door.
"Um, yeah! Just one minute!" she shouted back to her friend. She quickly opened up the doors beneath the sink, and stuffed the object in the far back corner, out of sight of prying eyes then gently closed the cabinet. Flushing the toilet, and running the water at the sink, she made it appear that she was just going to the bathroom. Opening the door she was greeted by Jazz raising a skeptical eyebrow at her.
"You okay in there?"
"I think I can go to the bathroom without you hovering, Jazz, no offense," she remarked to her nervously, slightly snapping at her friend. She winced at her tone of voice, but her nerves were driving her up the wall.
Jazz held up her hands in a surrendering gesture. "Sorry, you were just in there for a while."
"It-it must have been something I ate I think," she hedged the truth.
"Mhmm," Jazz hummed disbelievingly. Turning she jerked her head to the door. "So you coming?"
Nodding she followed her friend out to the kitchen. Lance and Missy were already at the oaken table in the middle of the room. Walking in, they both took seats at the table as Gabriel leaned against the counter.
"Okay," Gabriel said getting started, "we have a problem."
"Fantastic, let's just add it to the to do list," Lance said from the other end.
"This one can't get in line unfortunately," Gabriel told the warlock, "I've heard through the grape vine, so to speak, that some of the major gods still in the world, and those who are still around but are losing power, are getting together in Muncie, Indiana."
"What are they gathering for?" Missy scratched a knife against the table flaking some of the wood off in little shavings.
"From what I understand, their gathering to see if they can figure out a way to stop the apocalypse from happening."
Missy looked up at that. "They want to take on, Lucifer."
Gabriel locked eyes with her and slowly nodded. "But that's good, isn't it?" asked Jazz butting in, "I mean with them, maybe we could pack some serious heat against this guy."
"Their stupid for even thinking they can go against him," Missy said in her arrogant tone sneering at the idea of the plan.
"Missy-"
"No, Jazz, she's correct actually," Gabe gently rebuked her, "my brother will slaughter them. They can't take him on."
"Then you have to warn them at least," Lance called from the end. "We can't just let them line up, and march straight to the slaughter house!"
"How noble," Missy remarked, with her trade mark smirk plastered over her face, "Lancelot fighting for the weak and blind. Regular knight of the round table aren't you."
"Look, Missy, you and Gabriel above everyone here know what you're dad, and you're brother," he pointed at Gabriel, "is capable of. If you can warn them, or try and stop them, make them think things through; then you have to do it."
"That's only if you have a suicide wish," she remarked coldly.
"What?"
"Look, Lance, I have no intention of sticking my neck out there for someone, like my father, to stomp all over. I'm a realist and a survivor, and believe me; if blood starts painting the walls everyone will be slaughtered. No exceptions," she said with no emotion.
"But he wouldn't kill you! You're his child!"
At that Missy down right laughed. It was cold and scathing but none the less a laugh. It was times like these when she fully remembered Missy's parentage.
"Good god, man! Listen to yourself! Lucifer doesn't give two shits about me! All he cares about is fighting Michael and beating him!"
Lance looked to Gabriel at a complete loss. The archangel shrugged his shoulders under his blue plaid shirt. "It's the truth; whoever gets in my brothers' way to his ultimate goal, he'll kill, as long as their of no use to him in furthering it."
"We can't just leave them," Amy remarked finally piping up. Four pairs of eyes looked to her and she gazed calmly back. "Well, we can't. I wouldn't feel right walking away from them, and that's only strengthened now. If we know that their going to their deaths, we have to at least warn them." Turning her head she looked at Gabe, still leaning against the counter. "When are they gathering?"
"Tonight."
Nodding resolutely she looked down at the table. "I have to go then, whether you all want to join me or not is up to you, but I need to go."
With that she got up from the table and left the kitchen leaving the rest of them sitting there pondering what she had said.
~x~
She went through her wardrobe, folding some of her older clothes and placing the neatly again in the drawer. It wasn't as if she needed too, but it helped distract her mind and keep her focused. The door opened and Jazz slipped through the room again; she sat on the love seat at the foot of the bed and watched her.
Amy raised her eyebrows and laughed. "Can I help you, Jazz?"
"You're tense."
"Excuse me?" she asked with a puzzled frown on her face.
"I said you're tense," Jazz repeated. "I haven't seen you like this in a while, all things considered. So what's up?"
Amy snorted at that. "Nothing's wrong, Jazz. And did you maybe think that it's about tonight? You know, last minute jitters before you go up and present your project to the class?"
Jazz's eyes narrowed at her feeble excuse. "No it isn't that. You were off earlier when you came out of the bathroom. You were pale, Amy, I know something is wrong."
Slamming the dresser drawer she gripped the top of it tightly.
"Seriously, sometimes you should butt out," she said harshly to her.
"Amy, seriously what's wrong? You never act like this, just tell me."
Walking over she sat beside her friend and pulled her feet up so that her chin rested on her knees. Wrapping her arms around her legs she took a steadying breath as she tried to beat back her nerves.
"Something was off, and it wasn't till today that I confirmed it," she said quietly.
Jazz sat up straighter and leaned forwards. "Does this have something to do with the horn? When you used it I mean? The catch?"
She shook her head. "No, nothing like that. I noticed that I didn't get my period on time, and I thought that maybe it was just late, and that the horn screwed up my cycle." Jazz froze as she began to tell her story; and once she started she couldn't stop. "So I waited another week and once I got into the next month I knew something was up."
"You're sure it's not just the horn?" Jazz asked again.
Silently, Amy stood from the love seat and walked to the door leading to the bathroom. Turning on the light she opened the cabinet door, under the sink, and rummaged around until she came to the back corner. Grabbing the small stick, she walked back into the room and sat next to her friend, showing the clear positive sign in the small screen. Jazz sucked in a sharp breath at that.
"You're pregnant?" she whispered.
Nodding her head she tried to ignore the feeling of her throat swelling up to the size of a golf ball. Jazz put her hands over her mouth in shock, not taking her eyes off the pregnancy test. "How long?"
Amy shrugged at the question. "I think it might have happened that first night."
Jazz slowly relaxed her tense muscles and leaned back on the seat. She looked off into the distance and suddenly Amy began panicking.
"Jazz, you can't tell Gabe yet, please!"
"Amy, he's the father! It's not like you can keep this from him!"
"I know! And I'm not going to! I just need to get past this night, make sure either him or me talk to those gods, and get that straightened out. Then when we can have a breather I'll sit him down and tell him. But please, Jazz, you have to let me do this," Amy pleaded desperately with her friend.
Jazz covered her face with her hands and moaned into them. "I don't know, Amy. Anything could happen tonight! You're taking a risk! Those gods may not be open to reason and then what do we do?! What if something goes horribly wrong?!"
"Nothing is, Jazz," she said forcefully. "Listen to me." She took Jazz's face into her hands and looked deeply into her eyes. "I refuse to let something happen to any of us, not as long as I have a choice and I have the power to stop it. But I can't have him distracted tonight."
She let go of Jazz and the elf pulled back. "I think you're making a mistake, Amy in not telling him now. By choosing to wait instead."
"It's not your decision to make, Jazz, so please just keep it to yourself," she said as calmly as she could. Jazz gave her a heart broken stare but otherwise said nothing.
Standing from the small little love seat she looked at the time.
"Are you guys coming, or not?"
"We made a promise a long time ago that we would never be separated, and we never will be," Jazz said confidently standing as well. "I don't like your decision, Amy, however, I respect it. You're my friend, and we all said we would never leave one another, so of course were coming."
She gave her friend a watery smile and clasped her on the shoulder. "Then let's go." As they walked out of the room the pregnancy test lay forgotten on the floor the screen showing the positive sign to the room as the door closed behind their retreating figures.

Elysian Fields Hotel
~x~
They reappeared outside of a hotel with neon lights highlighting the name of the place. Looking around she saw cars and vans, and a very distinct Impala. Frowning, she looked at Gabriel standing beside her.
"Sam and Dean are here?"
Gabriel shrugged. "It seems so, I guess they're gonna try something to do with them."
"Yes, because that can't possibly go wrong where the Winchesters are concerned," Missy remarked from the back.
Jazz couldn't help the snort of amusement. "It's true, you have to admit. Nothing goes according to plan it seems when those two are involved."
Gabriel turned to her then. "Wait in room 302; the boys will be in there shortly."
"How do you know?" she asked suspiciously.
"Just believe me."
Nodding the four of them disappeared coming to in a nice, spacious room. Jazz shrugged as she perused the furniture.
"You know, not bad, especially when you consider what you can find on the road."
"I have an awful feeling about this," Missy said quietly.
Amy frowned as she looked at her. "What's wrong?"
Missy seemed perplexed as she gazed around. "I don't know, but the aura of this place…it's almost as if it knows something is about to occur."
Lance chuckled at that. "Are you trying to say that this hotel is psychic?"
"No, that is not what I am trying to convey," Missy replied, "I don't know how to explain, it's almost as if great blood shed will occur here."
Amy bit her lip worriedly as she scanned the room. Whenever, Missy became like this it was always in the best interest of themselves to listen. She just didn't know what to do about the information she was given.
"Holy crap!"
A voice shouted from behind her and she spun around; coming face to face with the two Winchester brothers. They stared at the four of them in shock as everyone froze.
"Okay, I know you three, but you," he said pointing at her.
"Dean, it's me. It's Amy."
"Amy?"
She smiled at him and Sam had to grin back. "No way, what the hell happened to you?"
"Well I was-"
"Okay, we have no time for this, what is going on?" Missy interrupted.
"Well hello again to you to," Dean said with one of his infamous grins.
"Can it," Missy snapped at him, "what are the gods planning on doing?"
"Ugh, uh they want to go against Lucifer, and they plan to use us as bargaining chips, since we're their vessels," Sam explained quickly to the irate woman; not even bothering to ask how she knew that there were gods in the building.
"So in other words you guys are royally screwed…again," Jazz piped up from her corner.
Dean scratched the back of his head. "Well yeah, okay somewhat; but this isn't anything new! We get out of these things all the time!"
"It's comforting to know how many times you get into these situations to feel confident in saying that you will get out," Missy remarked. Amy rolled her eyes at the blonde nephilim.
Sam couldn't help but snort. Dean opened his mouth to respond, but before he could there was a great flapping of wings, and Gabriel appeared on the couch near Jazz.
Dean's eyes narrowed at the archangel. "I should've known. I mean this had your stink all over it from the jump. "
Gabriel looked at him disbelievingly. "You think I'm behind this? Please. I'm the Costner to your Houston. I'm here to save your ass. "
"You wanna pull us outta the fire?" he asked indicating him and Sam.
"Bingo! Those guys are either gonna dust you, or use you as bait. Either way, you're uber boned," he said pointing to them as he came to stand beside Amy. "So were here to post you're bail and vamoose you both out."
"Wow, 'cause a couple of months ago you were telling us that we need to "play our roles". You were uber boning us!"
Gabriel whispered lowly as he turned around. "Ohh... The end is still nigh. Michael and Lucifer are gonna dance the lambada, but not tonight," he said doing a quick jig which made Amy grin. "Not here."
"And why do you care?"
"I don't care. But, me and Kali we, uh, had a thing," Gabriel said evasively. Amy narrowed her eyes at the archangel; and he held up his hands defensively. "Not anymore, girl! That was a long time ago. I was younger! People do crazy things when their young! And besides what can I say? I'm sentimental."
"Do they have a chance? Against Satan?"
"Really, Sam?" his brother asked in disbelief.
"You got a better idea, Dean?" he asked back looking at Dean.
"It's a bad idea. Lucifer's gonna turn them into finger paint. So let's get going while the going's good, hmm?"
"Okay, great, why don't you just zap us outta here then?"
"Would if I could, but Kali's got you by the short and curlies."
"What does that mean?"
Jazz sighed. "It's a blood spell. So in other words, you guys can't leave; you're on a leash until further notice."
"So how do we get out of here then?" Sam asked.
"You leave that to me," Gabriel said with a smirk. "I think this calls for a bit of the old black magic." He takes out a breath spray from his pocket and spritzes his mouth.
Amy see's red at the action and Missy sighs. "Sometimes, Gabriel I feel like you are a complete dunce."
Looking over at Amy he saunters up to her. "Oh come on, babe! You know you're my number one girl! But she won't let anyone else get close to her, I have that element. All I need is to get the vials and were out of here!"
"It doesn't mean I want you lip locking with another girl," she snarled angrily, not even slightly reassured by what the angel had to say.
"Is she technically considered a girl?" Lance asked from the back.
Amy glared at Lance. "Shut it, Lance!"
"Is that jealousy I detect?" Gabriel asked, wiggling his eye brows at her taking her focus back.
She blushed slightly, whether from anger, frustration or embarrassment, she couldn't say. "No!"
"It's cute on you, you know that right? Don't worry at the end of this you can take your frustrations out on me any way you see fit," he said with a leer. She was shocked into speechlessness at that and couldn't answer.
"Okay, yeah. Well, whatever save it for the bedroom you too. We're gonna take the hors d'oeuvres in the freezer with us to, just to get back on track here," Dean said with a smirk.
"Forget it. It's gonna be hard enough sneaking you mooks outta here."
"They called you Loki, right? Which means they don't really know who you are?"
"Told you. I'm in witness protection."
"Okay, well then, how about you do what we say, or we tell the, uh, legion of doom about your secret identity. They don't seem like a real pro-angel kinda crowd."
Gabriel's eyes narrowed. "I'll take your voices away."
"We'll write it down. "
"I'll cut off your hands."
"Well then, people are gonna be asking, "Why are you guys running around with no hands?""
Gabriel looked to Sam, who appeared smug. He then looked at Amy, who had her arms crossed firmly in front of her chest. "Oh don't look at me like I'm gonna help you with this."
Gabriel rolled his eyes. "Fine."
~x~
They walk into the kitchen, hearing the screaming and pounding against the freezer door. Sam quickly walks forward and crouches at the lock, getting ready to pick it. Dean and Amy watch Sam begin, feeling anxious at the shouting and the situation in general. Suddenly, the both of them are grabbed and thrown across the kitchen. Dean hits a shelf which goes toppling with him; while Amy smacks down off the counter, vegetables and meats scattering everywhere, as the pot on the stove go flying. Zao Shen, the one who had just thrown them, then grabs Sam by the neck pinning him up against the freezer door slowly strangling him as he gasps.
Sam struggles against the iron grip, slowly beginning to lose consciousness as the oxygen is derived from him. Dean and Amy both struggle to stand. When she gets to her feet she frantically looks around and spots the wooden stake a mere foot away from her. Reaching over she grabs it, hisses at Dean, and tosses the wooden weapon to him. Dean quickly stabs the god in the back forcing the god to release his hold on Sam's neck as the hunter crumples against the door sucking air in through his abused throat.
"Where the hell is Gabriel?" asks Dean as Sam rubs his sore throat.
"And where are Jazz, Lance, and Missy!? They were supposed to be keeping watch."
~x~
Sam, Dean and Amy are roughly manhandled into the grand ballroom. Jazz, Lance and Missy are all tied securely and in a faintly glowing circle at the back. She makes eye contact with each of them assuring herself that they're fine, before her and the brothers, are roughly shoved onto chairs of their own. She sees Gabriel sitting at the head of the table, with Kali standing before him. She recognizes the woman from just a few short year or two ago.
"Well isn't it a joy to meet you, again," she says smiling at her. She doesn't return the sentiment and merely looks away.
"How long have you known?" Gabriel asks drawing the attention away from her.
"Long enough," Kali assures him.
"How's the rescue going?" asks Dean conversationally to the archangel. Gabriel merely smirks at him but doesn't answer.
"Well, surprise, surprise," Kali announces to the room, "The Trickster has tricked us."
"Kali, don't." He pleads with her trying to make her stop.
"You're mine now. And you have something I want." Amy can't help the snarl that rises in her throat as the goddess reaches into Gabriel's jacket, and removes his archangel blade. She smirks at Amy, having heard her, as she holds the sword up, the light glinting off of its smooth, silver edge. "An archangel's blade; from the archangel, Gabriel."
Gabriel grits his teeth, and then plays everything off with a large smile. "Okay, okay! So I got wings, like Kotex. But that doesn't make me any less right about Lucifer."
"He's lying. He's a spy."
"I'm not a spy. I'm a runaway," he contradicts Kali, "I'm trying to save you. I know my brother, Kali. He should scare the living crap out of you. You can't beat him. I've skipped ahead, seen how this story ends—"
"You're story. Not ours. Westerners, I swear. The sheer arrogance," she says grievously as she looks down at Gabriel, "You think you're the only ones on earth? You pillage and you butcher in your God's name. But you're not the only religion, and he's not the only God. And now you think you can just rip the planet apart? You're wrong. There are billions of us. And we were here first. If anyone gets to end this world, it's me. I'm sorry but I have to do this." Before anyone realizes what she's about to do, she stabs Gabriel quickly in the center of his torso with his blade.
"NO!" Amy screams out attempting to rise from her seat. Sam and Dean grab onto her, and she's so swept up in what she's seeing at this moment that she lets them. It's too late anyways. Gabriel looks at Kali, shock clearly written on his face. Then he glows a bright white light from his orifices letting out a piercing scream and limply falls back in the chair.
Amy collapses, boneless, into the chair as Sam puts an arm around her. She grips her stomach tightly as she begins to take deep breaths trying not to hyperventilate. She can hear Jazz trying to call out to her, but all she really hears is a giant roar, like the ocean boiling, trapped within her emotions.
"This is crazy," Mercury mumbles out, with a handkerchief pressed against his mouth.
"They can die. We can kill Lucifer," Kali assures them as she stares down at Gabriel's body.
Amy's still shaking as the brothers try to comfort her. Dean looks at Sam, and his jaw clenches as he sees the distraught girl in the middle. Standing up he faces the entire room. "All right you primitive screw heads, listen up."
Sam swallows harshly as he looks up at his brother, panic shining in his eyes. "Are you outta your mind?"
"I'm just outta options. Now on any other given day, I'd be doing my damn best to, uh, kill you. You filthy murdering chimps. But, uh, hey, desperate times desperate measures right? So even though I'd love nothing better than to slit all of your throats, you dicks, I'm gonna help you. I'm going to help you ice the devil." Sam looks pointedly at his brother as he hears Dean say this. "And then we can all get back to ganking each other, like normal. You want Lucifer, well, dude's not in the Yellow Pages. But me and Sam, we can get him here."
"How?" Kali asks sounding more interested as the time goes by.
"First you let those main courses go and release them from that circle." He indicates Jazz, Missy and Lance. "Then we talk. We can either take on the devil together, or you lame-ass bitches can eat me. Literally."
~x~
Amy was still sitting in the chair as Baldur and Kali look at Sam. Jazz and her friends are standing around her but she doesn't even acknowledge them. She feels lost in the storm raging from within her that it's as if no one is here except for her.
"For all that it's worth to you," Kali's voice breaks out across the room, directed towards Amy, "I am sorry, for what I had to do."
Amy looks up at that; her fog of depression, sadness and grief clearing to make room for pure, unbridled anger. As she stared at Kali her eyes flashed and began to glow slightly as she stood up a ringing filling her ears. Kali took a hesitant step back, as if unsure of herself in the light of this new threat.
"Let's make something perfectly clear right now." Amy's voice rumbled loud and clear hints of her angel voice bleeding through. "You ripped out the closest person in my life just a few minutes ago and took him away from me forever and you think a sorry is going to cut it? You stupid bitch. The only reason you're still alive is because I think you can at least slow down Lucifer enough, for us to possibly get away; and make no mistake about it. If you were in danger, or I thought you would be good bait, I would use you to save my friends. Don't think that I'm going to forget about this, ever."
Kali swallowed harshly at the raw force of her anger as it powered to her on waves of rage. Sam even looked down at the floor, finding it difficult to keep his eyes on her. Finally, regaining her composure, Kali turned back to Sam.
"So you're going to summon Lucifer."
"Um, sort of," Sam stammered out, "I just need you to squeegee some stuff from my ribs and he'll come running."
"Breaking them would be easier," Kali merely stated. Sam shifted uncomfortably and Amy's nostrils flared angrily at the goddess. Suddenly, Dean stormed into the room taking them all by surprise.
"Show's over. Sword's a fake, and Gabriel, he's still kicking. I hate to break it to you, sister, but you've been tricked," Dean said to Kali.
"He's alive?!" she cried out in relief, tears threatening to spill down her cheeks. Dean nodded to her as she sobbed in relief. "Oh thank god!"
"Guys, we have a bigger problem," Missy called out from behind them. She looked deathly pale, which was saying something for the normally, pale nephilim. At that the lights started to flicker, sporadically in the room.
"What's happening?" Baldur asked gazing upwards.
They could hear screaming coming from the hallway outside of the grand ballroom. Amy and the rest of them huddled closer to one another as Missy stood tall slightly in front of them. Wet splatters ricochet down in the hallway making them wince as they, what they can only guess as body parts, splash in the hallway creating sickening thuds. They hear a loud roar that sounds like an elephant in dying spasms and then one final scream before everything turns deathly silent. Jazz is breathing heavily from behind her gripping her arm in fright.
"It's him," Missy states, "you don't have much time."
"How is that possible?" asks Kali looking at Missy.
"Does it matter? Shazzam us outta here, would ya?
"We can't," Baldur said grimly as Lucifer walked into the ballroom.
"Of course you can't. You didn't say "mother, may I?" Sam, Dean, good to see you again." Lucifer outstretched his hands towards the two brothers. Then his eyes strayed to Missy. Amy noticed the nephilim stiffening. "Ahh, Missy, my one and only daughter. It's good to see you again, seriously."
She regarded her dad with nervousness and actual fear. Not bothering to answer him back. Lucifer merely turned his attention to Baldur as the god strode up to him.
"You think you own the planet? What gives you the right?" He confronts the devil just as Lucifer's hand shoots out, ripping through Baldur's torso in one swoop. Jazz screams behind her hands, as the rest of them stare wide eyed at Lucifer's bloody hand protruding outside of Baldur's back.
"No one gives us the right, we take it," Lucifer says gently, sounding almost like a lover's caress. He throws Baldur to the ground viscously and looks up at the rest of them. Kali becomes enraged at the treatment and her hands are encompassed in fire, licking at her skin underneath. She throws the flames at Lucifer, causing the rest of them to jump over the banquet table in order to avoid the ravaging flames.
When the flames disperse Lucifer hits Kali with an uppercut sending her sprawling down hard onto the hard floor.
"You all okay?" he asks quickly.
"Not really. Better late than never, huh?" Gabriel says from the far side right by Amy.
She looks at the archangel and throws herself into his arms, kissing him passionately as tears run down her face. "I thought I lost you," she whimpers out; holding onto him tightly. "Don't ever do that to me again."
Gabriel pulls away from her slightly. "Amy, I have to talk to him."
It takes her a minute to understand what he's saying; when it does compute with her she begins to shake her head emphatically; a long list of no's running past her lips. He grips her head gently and whispers to her. "Look at me."
Pulling her gaze back to his, she forces herself to stare at the archangel.
"Please, Gabriel, don't," she pleads with him one last time. "I need you."
"Hey, what's this! No faith in me?" he rebukes her gently as he smiles at her. "Amy, you are a strong woman, stronger than you give yourself credit for, I need you to stay like that, no matter what happens. Have faith that I will come back to you."
"But Gabe-"
"I need to try, just like you needed to try and come here to have them all warned, if there's any chance that I may be able to stop him, then, I have to try," he pleaded with her trying to make her see sense.
"Gabe, you don't understand though."
"Amy-"
"No! Gabriel, I'm pregnant," she whispered to him.
"What?" He froze suddenly at her bomb shell gazing at her with glazed eyes. The others had all paused at her confession, all except Jazz, who merely looked down at the floor and bit her lip trying to keep her tears away.
"It's true! I'm not just saying it! It must have happened that first night, and I just found out and I wanted to tell you, after this. And now with Lucifer here, and you going off to try and … I may not have another chance," she finished trying and failing to keep back the tears that flooded down her face.
Whoever said crying could look graceful, must have been very drunk that day. There was nothing graceful about this, she was a bawling wreck. Her cheeks blotchy, nose running, and her eyes red like cherries. None of this mattered to her though, she needed Gabriel and without him how would she raise their baby?
Gabriel slowly placed a hand on her stomach as she chuckled and smiled through her tears, trying to laugh even though she felt like her heart was splitting in two. "A baby? Our baby?" he asked quietly looking up at her.
She smiled through her tears and nodded. "Yes, Gabriel, you're going to be a father."
His eyes brightened and he smiled at her, kissing her fiercely running his fingers through her long, disheveled blonde hair. Her tears mixed with their kiss causing a salty tang to suffuse their joined lips that only made her grip onto him harder. He pulled away slowly, and rested his forehead on hers, closing his eyes as if to soak in the moment. Opening them once again to stare at her he pulled back slightly.
"You have to let me do this, he won't let you walk out of here otherwise," he pleaded gently but firmly. "I will not have you or our unborn child in harm's way."
"But Gabe-"
He looked over her shoulder at Missy, Jazz and Lance. "Take care of her and this one and guard the with everything you have. Missy you need to be there for her, when I can't be for a while." Missy nodded her head firmly at the archangel's request.
"I won't leave her side."
Gabriel sighed, his shoulders slumping as if a great weight had been lifted from him. "Amy, trust her. Trust them all, they'll watch over you. Trust me I will come back to you, nothing, not even death himself, will keep me away from you. Wait for me."
Amy watched him sadly. "I will wait for you, for as long as it takes."
He smiled gently at her and leaned over once more to give her a gentle kiss on the forehead. "Don't ever lose hope."
"I won't," she promised Gabriel, giving their laced fingers a tight squeeze.
Swallowing he grabbed the case on the floor, and smacked it into Dean's chest. "Guard this, with your life." With that, and one last look at Amy, he quickly disappeared around the corner.
Just before Lucifer was about to stomp on Kali he is thrown violently backwards, skidding across the floor and out through the double ballroom doors, landing in a heap against the wall in the hallway. Gabriel stands before the goddess, sharp, silver sword drawn in one hand.
"Lucy, I'm home." Lucifer gets up and begins to walk over to the archangel. Before he can pass him, Gabriel moves to intersect him blocking his path to getting to Kali, his angel blade raised threateningly. "Not this time." He reaches down slowly, and gently grips Kali by the upper arm. "Guys! Get her outta here and yourselves as well! Amy, leave."
Lucifer watched curiously as the rest of them slowly made their way over, collecting Kali they gingerly traveled outside the room. Amy looked back one more time, and he nodded to her reassuringly as Missy took her gently by the hand. "Over a girl. Gabriel, really? I mean I knew you were slumming, but I hope you didn't catch anything," he said with a disgusted look marring his features.
"Lucifer, you're my brother. And I love you. But you are a great big bag of dicks."
She couldn't help the smile as she heard Gabriel call Lucifer a "bag of dicks" at least he still had some major balls. She snuggled closer into Missy's comforting embrace as the blonde nephilim lead her outside.
Dean, Sam and Kali made their way to his Impala, and the four of them disappeared with a whisper of wind. The last sound in the parking lot was the screeching of tires, as the car pulled onto the highway and drove off into the night.
