THIRD HOUR: Study Hall
The Avengers and Lily filed into the ordinary classroom, Lily at the back of the pack with a wallet in her hand. The teenagers were the first ones in the room, it seemed, and they made a small circle of desks so they could go over the files. S.H.I.E.L.D. had made sure they had one class where they could all meet and debrief over the files without interruption. Carlie pulled seven folders out of her black backpack and passed them around so they all received one. The bell rang, and they looked around curiously. There was no one else in their class besides them. A ruddy cheeked Phil Coulson walked quickly into the classroom.
Nathan stood. "The fuck, Phil? I think we can handle this on our own." He half growled, looking at the agent. Phil sighed, placing his briefcase on the teacher's desk. "Fury sent me in. He didn't want you all to go around without some surveillance." He straightened the horrid brown and baby blue tie he was wearing, nodding to the rest of the team. "You guys… look good." He smirked, sitting down at the large desk and opening his briefcase. He pulled out a Tupperware dish of chicken alfredo, an obnoxiously large Hershey's bar, a fork, and a water bottle. Coulson looked up to see the hungry teens staring at him. "What? Don't you have files to look at?" He said lightly, shoving a forkful of the alfredo into his mouth.
Nathan sat back down, shooting a look at the agent. Turning back to the team, he opened his folder and pulled out the papers on the first girl. "Her name is Amelia Daniels. Parents Jonathan and Zoey Daniels. Dad moved here from Canada as soon as Mom turned 18. No criminal records on either of them. The dad works at a Wholefoods, and her mom is an OB/Gyn. Average girl, part of the swim team. Hasn't gotten into any trouble. Ever." Stephanie read off the information, and placed her paper down. Toni scoffed, scanning the file once more. "She's nobody. Her parents are nobody. I think this one is just your average kidnapping." The rest of the Avengers ignored him and moved to the next girl. "Martha Charbonneaux. No criminal history, same for the parents. Her parents work as nurses at St. John's hospital. Swim team, good kid." Brenda was the one to read this report. Tam rubbed the bridge of her nose. "All these maidens seem to be on this swim club. They are all good, and their parents are normal. I see not why they are missing." Stephanie nodded in agreement. Nothing really big came from any of these girls. With another quick read through on the last girl, Rose Tenn, they found the same, average things. The only thing linking them was the swim team.
After 10 minutes, they had gone through all the information S.H.I.E.L.D. had. Toni leaned back in her chair, rubbing her face. "Nothing. We still have 30 minutes of absolute nothing. I hated school the first testosterone fueled go around, and I think I hate it a little more this time." Nathan had gathered up all the folders and shoved them back in Carlie's bag. Stephanie busied herself with arranging the desks back in their original order. Phil stood, groaning and stretching his back. "I got you all hall passes, so you can go investigate the pool area. They, as in the police, had found evidence of foul play for Martha. A small fleck of blood on the tile walls of the showers." Phil looked at all of them and opened his mouth like he was going to say something more, but the bell rang. The door slammed open, and Lily entered. The Avengers looked at each other; they hadn't even noticed she left. Starbucks was in her hands and expensive sunglasses on her pale face. "Swim Class, bitches."
