"Who is this Yashiro? According to your report, he seems to have a quite good profile" asked Tsunade while still reading the scroll "w-what! Why is this guy forming an organization?" Tsunade was shocked to know that there's another maniac who is forming an organization.
"I don't know but it has something to do with Atsuta shrine!" Naruto stated out of the knowledge he had.
"What is Atsuta shrine?" Asked Tsunade.
"Being one of the three great ninjas, I thought you might know what Atsuta shrine is! Hahahaha!" Being hokage and one of the sanins, Naruto thought that she might know something but she was oblivious.
"No I don't! Now would you please tell me?" Tsunade begged irritated by Naruto's laughter.
"Well… even I don't know!" At this reply there was a complete silence in the room with Tsunade's poker expression and after a moment she shouted "DON'T MAKE FOOL OUT OF OTHERS OVER THINGS YOU YOURSELF DON'T KNOW! YOU MORON!"
"Hehehe! Sorry about that!" Naruto rubbed back of his head sheepishly. "The only things that are known about Atsuta shrine are, its founder!"
"Sage of six paths?" Guessed Tsunade, as he was the only legend known to have saved mankind in past.
"No one knows who founded it but certainly not the sage of six paths! I did my research on sage of six paths and found no relation between him and the shrine, seems that not many people know about shrine but I'm sure I'll get something on it in our library!" Explained Naruto.
"Where is it? The Atsuta shrine!" Demanded Tsunade, for location of the shrine.
"Its rough location is given in the scroll but it is too vague to follow. It's been thousands of years since it was first found." While explaining, Naruto reached out to his back pouch and took out a piece of paper and unfolded it revealing it was a map. "It has been dislocated due to tectonic plate movement and because of that I can't be sure but it should be in among these locations!" Naruto pointed at four locations which was already circled.
"How can you be so sure?" asked Tsunade as she was compelled to do so due to the fact that rest of the info was too vague.
"Well... that Yashiro guy is pretty smart as well. He founded this rough estimate using maps at various time line."
"Very well then! I will deploy a team to investigate it!" Tsunade stated her plans for finding of shrine.
"Granny I want to go for this mission too but Sasuke takes the priority"
"*sigh* fine. After you return from your mission, you'll have no more than a day and then you'll have your team for the shrine!" Tsunade acknowledged his plea knowing that any way he'd go on that mission and there's no stopping.
Naruto got up from his place and made his way towards the door. "Granny can you please call Sakura and those other two guys with whom I'm supposed to go on this mission and tell them to meet me at the village gates in two hours? "
"What! I thought you would take a break of a week at the very least and then carry out the mission!"
"But the spy is going to appear on Tenchi Bridge After five days"
"You haven't completely healed yet and even with your healing speed you might need a week or two at least"
"We don't have that much time-" Naruto tried to argue but Tsunade shouted at him "Forget it! I won't allow it!"
"Well I'm going anyway!" Naruto shouted back at Tsunade in response.
"I won't sign this mission and if you leave the village then you'll be considered a rouge shino-" Tsunade threatened him but it still wouldn't work "Oh yeah! Then I'm going on this mission with or without permission" Naruto fought back in his usual high volume tone.
"I will have an Anbu team on your ass you stupid punk"
"Well I don't care if you have a kage team!" with that being said Naruto opened the door and was just about to leave.
"You won't listen no matter what! You stubborn little brat!" Tsunade face palmed herself and then continued "fine! But it's already 8:30 PM. Rest for the night and you'll have your team in the morning at 7"
"B-but we don't have any time!" Naruto tried to argue but Tsunade have a point and she replied "even you can't go on for 5 days non-stop and even if you can, remember that you have your team mates along with you and they are not same as you"
"Fine then! But tomorrow in the morning team should leave for village hidden in the grass!"
"Come and sit here! If you go in your condition you'll just be a liability, let me heal you first!"
After 15 to 20 minutes, Naruto left the hokage's office still wrapped up in the bandages.
"I'll have to leave for the mission in early morning and I don't have any clothes to wear. Probably no clothes store in village will even allow me near" sighed Naruto as he walked down the path towards his apartment with his hand still having a plaster. Fracture wasn't healed fully so he had to keep the plaster for a week. Fracture in his leg wasn't severe and Tsunade healed it but still the pain wasn't completely vanished and probably it would take a month to completely heal but as usual, he'd push himself to his limits.
Kakashi was laying in Konoha's hospital room bored without anything to do other than laying in his bed.
"You are looking petty laid-back there" Kakashi turned his right eye towards the window and found Jiraiya leaning inside thorugh "Lord Jiraiya!" Kakashi acknowledged his presence and then Jiraiya continued "though I guess you've been lie that for a while, eh? I heard you'll be stuck in bed for a week"
"Well, that's what it looks like" replied Kakashi and tried to get up by taking support from his hands. He was in lot of pain and groaned in the process.
Seeing Kakashi in pain, Jiraiya entered his room "seems like you won't be leaving your bed for a while huh!" Jiraiya reached to his pocket inside his clothing, took out two books and slammed it on the table "Two volumes of Make-out paradise. You've probably read them already, but they'll help pass time"
"Thank you" Kakashi expressed his gratitude "but this can't be the real reason you've returned to the village, right?"
"We'll talk into more details once Tsunade and he arrives" said Jiraiya leaning against the wall.
"He?" Asked Kakashi wondering who the person is.
"I believe that he is been given name 'Yamato' for this mission"
After a while Tsunade entered Kakashi's ward along with Shizune and Yamato
"How are you feeling Kakashi?" asked Tsunade
"Not good I'd say" Kakashi replied closing his book of Make-out paradise.
"Long time no see, Kakashi!" greeted Yamato and Shizune then closed the door after he entered.
"Oh it's you! So you're the one she called Yamato, I see!"
"Yes! Yamato is my codename while working as the interim captain for your team!" explained Yamato.
"He and the team was supposed to go on the mission today morning at 11:30 but fortunately or unfortunately that knucklehead didn't show up and I had to postpone the mission." Tsunade said with frustrated look on her face.
"Yeah! I heard about it!" Kakashi sighed "that guy always manages to find his way into trouble"
"Well fortunately Yamato got time to be briefed on what he is dealing with" said Tsunade.
"The main reason you were chosen to be the captain in Kakashi's stead is because of your unique abilities!" Explained Jiraiya
"Is it Naruto?" asked Yamato
"Exactly!" sighed Kakashi and then continued "you already know that Nine-tails is sealed inside of Naruto, correct?" upon hearing this Yamato acknowledged it and then Jiraiya continued "There are times when Nine-tails chakra flows out of Naruto's body and tries to take on the Demon Fox's form. We call this Nine-tails cloak."
"Nine-tails cloak?" Yamato shocked upon hearing this. He turned his attention towards Kakashi and asked "does this happens frequently?"
"Well nothing happened on the last mission" Kakashi said and turned towards Jiraiya.
"Well I am surprised that it didn't happen but it's a good news as well." Jiraiya was relieved assuming that he was gaining control over fox "but during our training, he frequently used to get covered in that cloak. The number of tails determines the amount of chakra that has leaked out of seal. Each and every time he let out that chakra was either his anger acted as trigger or he is completely drained of chakra" Jiraiya explained it to rest and then continued "but as Kakashi said, he didn't show any signs of chakra leakage the last time, the only possible explanation is that he might not be angry or the Fox didn't think they were worthy of it!"
"How can you say this?" Shizune interfered in middle of his explanation.
"During our journey, there were several times when he was angry but only time he let out his cloak was either around me or a foe which was way stronger than him and there were also times when foe wasn't strong but his rage forced out Fox's chakra"
"Explain everything you know Lord Jiraiya!" demanded Yamato.
"Well to be more precise, when his rage is uncontrollable, he loses his consciousness and he himself draws out Nine-tails chakra forcibly but if he is able to maintain his consciousness despite being angry, you'll be able to see his eyes turning red with slits forming. In other words, Nine-tails also sees what Naruto sees and if he thinks foe is worthy then you'll witness his wrath" Jiraiya explained everything he knew and had gathered for years being with Naruto.
"How can you tell whether Naruto is forcing out the chakra or it's the Nine-tails?" Tsunade asked Jiraiya
"Up to the three tails you can distinguish by his actions." Said jiraiya
"Actions? But how?" asked Kakashi asked.
"He is able to distinguish between friend and foe. He won't attack you but he won't even protect you and if it's the Nine-tails then everyone who tries interfere with his battle is a foe no matter whose side you take"
"And what after four tails" asked Yamato
"You must stop him at any cost before he reaches four tails!" Jiraiya said in a very serious tone that frightened everybody in the room.
"What happens if the fourth tail appears?" asked Yamato to which Jiraiya replied "In my whole life, I have come close to death only twice. The first time was when Tsunade beat me like a drunk when I was doing my research at hot spring" and he removed his jacket and shirt to expose a big scar on his chest "the second time was when Naruto and I was training and the fourth tail appeared" after showing them the scar, Jiraiya wore his clothing and continued "after the fourth tail its he can no longer distinguish between friend or foe and leaves nothing but destruction in its wake. He looked exactly like a miniature version on Nine-tails"
"Even with the Lord Fourth's seal, he can draw out that much?" Kakashi said in astonishment to which Jiraiya replied "First time when he went into the four tails state, I loosened the seal but there is a high possibility that Lord Fourth's seal might be weakening!"
Upon hearing this, even Tsunade was shocked "Fourth's sealing technique?"
"there's more, when Naruto enters the Nine-tails state, it may look like chakra cloak is shielding him from harm, but in actually, chakra causes constant damage to his body. When fourth tail appeared, his skin peeled off and he started to bleed heavily, the blood mixed with Nine-tails chakra. And despite of severity of his injuries, he went on rampage." After a moment of silence jiraiya continued "Once the cloak has dissipated, Nine-tails chakra with in him starts healing process. If he keeps going through cycle of heavy injuries and accelerated healing, his body will break down and his life span will decrease."
Silence followed the explanation Jiraiya provided and then Kakashi sighed.
Breaking the silence in room, Tsunade turned to Yamato and said "that's why we need you, Yamato. You are the only one who have inherited Lord First's DNA." To which Jiraiya added "you are the only one who even has a chance of controlling a jinchuuriki and luckily Naruto is also wearing First's necklace."
Next day early morning, Naruto got out of his apartment in standard chunin uniform and headed to the village gates where all his teammates were already waiting for him.
"Hey Sakura! Hey guys!" Naruto greeted as soon as he arrived at the gates.
"What's with the *yawn* unusual outfit Naruto?" Sakura asked with half sleepy tone.
"Well I didn't have anything to wear, so I got this on short notice!" answered Naruto and turning toward others he introduced himself "hey I'm Naruto Uzumaki it's nice to meet you!" and extended his hand for a hand shake.
"I'm Yamato and I'll be acting as a team captain in Kakashi's stead!" greeted a guy, in similar outfit as Naruto, by shaking his hand
"I'm Sai!" smiled the guy "dickless pantywaist!"
"Huh!" Naruto was first silent and when he processed the situation he shouted on top of his lungs "what was that, you asshole!" and barged towards him but Sakura caught him. "He's our teammate, don't start fights with him!" said to Naruto and the she explained this to Sai too "And you, you're really being a jerk! If you keep acting like it you'll surely get it from Naruto!"
"Oh really! I can handle myself ugly bitch!" said Sai without any change in emotions.
"Keh! What was that you asshole!" upon hearing "bitch" from Sai, Sakura lost her calm and rage filled her brain. She was about to plunge towards Sai but Yamato caught her. Naruto was watching from sides folding his hands with denial of comradeship towards Sai.
"Remember what you just said to Naruto!" Yamato tried to pacify her anger. "We are leaving for mission now and you all started to fight right away!"
"He is the one picking the fight!" Naruto snarled looking at Sai with finger pointing towards him.
After a while, when everyone calmed, Yamato said "ok! Team Kakashi we head out now!"
Team kept on walking towards their destination. On their way, Naruto kept on staring at Sai with expression of denial on his face. Tired of his constant staring, Sai asked "what is it"
'His attitude makes me sick to no end!' Naruto said to himself in his mind. Sai continued "please stop staring me, or I'll have to smack you!"
"Every time you open your mouth, for some reason it piss me off!" Naruto said clenching his fist, showing denial of comradeship towards Sai. On hearing this, Sai smiled and replied "Its nothing personal, I'm just being nice guy here!"
'His way of talking and his attitude… it's almost… similar to Sasuke!' Sakura was having a train of thoughts running through her head and was continuously staring at Sai.
His reply annoyed Naruto to a whole anther level. "Nice guy my ass" Naruto clenched his fist and then jerked his hand downwards "you're the biggest asshole I've ever met".
The road was empty, on both sides of road were wildernesses, road was made cutting down the forest area. Sakura was standing beside Naruto and Captain Yamato was on lead. On seeing Sai in Naruto's diatribe, he decided to interfere "Naruto mind your toung! He is our comrade, try to get along"
"He is no comrade of mine! The fourth member of team is Sasuke and I will never accept someone like him in place of Sasuke!" attitude of Naruto was going to cost them their team work and Yamato knew this so he said "Hey hey! This is no way you act in front of your captain, Naruto. Trust and teamwork are the most important attributes of team. I know Kakashi taught you that and he is a great man, considering you are a part of his team, your attitude worries me!"
"Well… it works fine with me. Betraying Leaf and running off to serve Orochimaru… don't even put me in the same group as that cowardly shit…" Sai said blatantly and at this point Naruto was at his limits too and then Sai did it. He said "he is no different than a scum that needs to be assassinated for betraying"
"Y-you bastard!" Naruto clenched his fists and then he started to release his chakra slowly. Everyone sensed the spike in chakra and they knew that it was Naruto. Sai then reached his dagger on his back and prepared to fight but Sakura stopped Naruto.
"I heard that you had a ridiculous amount of chakra but if it's all then…"
"I know we have to put team work. Naruto don't know anything about you, Sai, and he went too far. I apologize for Naruto, please forgive him" Sakura apologized on behalf of Naruto.
Hearing this, Yamato was relieved and said to himself "at least one of them is thinking about team work."
"No problem! Apology accepted" Sai smiled at Sakura, she returned the expression by smiling back at him and said "Really? I'm happy you did". Just as he laid down his guard, Sakura punched him in the face and he was thrown several meters backwards. As the scene unfolded, Yamato and Naruto was shocked. Sai was laying in dirt road with his left cheek all red due to punch and said with a plain face "you faked your smile! I didn't knew that you could use it in this type of situations also"
Sakura said "I, on the other hand, don't care if you forgive me or not. You don't know anything about Sasuke. So if say anything bad about Sasuke, I'll punch you for real next time!"
Sai raised himself from the dirt and while dusting it off, he said "I laid down my guard but next time this won't happen" then he reached his back, gripped his dagger at its place firmly and said "Now, if you really want to fight me, then I'm ready!" Sai's expression didn't change a bit, or rather he didn't have any expression at all and was ready to fight.
Tired of their fighting, Yamato went through some hand signs and shouted "Four pillar prison jutsu" and a huge prison made of wood appeared from ground. Seeing this, Naruto and Sakura was shocked but Sai as usual didn't even flinch like he didn't have an emotion called fear.
"If you three keep this up, I'll lock you up to improve your teamwork. We have time to spare until we reach the Tenchi Bridge, so it's up to you to decide whether to spend that time in here or at Spring resort. Three of you don't know anything about me either, right? I prefer to handle situations with diplomacy but if needed I can control people with fear." And then he made a creepy face by making his eyes wide open and his vice a little bit rough.
"Th-this is…" Sakura started out loud but continued it in her thoughts 'wood style nnjutsu, a secret technique known only to the Lord First Hokage. How can captain Yamato use it? Just who is he!?' she was drowning in her thoughts the more she looked at him.
"Wood style!?" Naruto was shocked too, to see a wood style user on his team but then relieved too and when he saw him make that creepy face he jumped on his place in fear "eek! You are creepy!"
Naruto others reached the spring hotel in the evening around seven and were very tired of walking al day long, especially Naruto. He was already injured from his previous battle and didn't have sufficient time for rest. Even though his fractures in both the legs were healed, they were still paining and damage to muscles wasn't completely healed yet.
As soon as they checked-in, they entered the resort's hot springs. "ahh! This feels great!" Naruto said in ecstasy as he felt the warmth of water. He let out all the tension and relaxed into the hot spring completely without bothering anybody.
Except for other people making noise, there was a complete silence between three of them and Sakura was on the other side of the spring partitioned by a wooden wall. To break this silence Yamato decided to speak up "you have to admit, hitting the hot springs togater is the ultimate form of male bonding, right, guys?" Sai was just staring into blankness after hearing Captain Yamato while Naruto didn't pay any heed to him and just continued enjoying the warmth of water.
Yamato brought his face near Naruto and said "I said, right guys?" with his creepy tone and expression. Naruto freaked out looking at Yamato and Jumped a little back with his hands in defensive position and agreed with him "Y-yes sir" 'his eyes are freaking me out. Its like he is already controlling us with fear!'
When Naruto jumped back Sai got a glimpse of his dick and said "oh! You do have one after all"
"Eh!?" Nauto first wondered what he was talking about but then he saw him staring and then yelled "stop staring you asshole!"
Naruto then went to the other corner where he wouldn't have to put up with any disturbances.
