Honestly, guys, I'm not sure if I'll finish this the way I expected. I kind of just want it out of the way since I have been very busy lately. I've been very behind in schoolwork and I am also failing miserably. I also have to spare my weekends for my dad and/or my boyfriend. Plus, I also have been having some friend trouble, and I am trying to figure out who is really my friend, which I have come to the conclusion that my best friend in the entire world is one of my only friends at the moment, and support from her is what I need to move through this bad point in my life.
Enoch looked, blinking up at the winter sky. His small, chubby cheeks smiled freshly to the white breeze. The small boy reached to his pouch on his side, pulling out a piece of bread. He bit down.
"Aren't you going to share, boy?" Alianor jumped up.
With a mouth full of food, Enoch spoke, "I was, but I thought you were all asleep."
"Barely..."
"Sorry about that, ya know, we should really get on goin' whereever your home is," Enoch boldly spoke, sollowing his bread.
Alice awoke just afterwards, sun blinding her vision. Her eyes looked incredibly bloodshot and weary. She turned around to see the boy and Alianor discussing something by the smoking fire pit (Enoch poking the ash with a stick, Alianor showing no emotion as she seriously talked).
"Oh, Alice," Alianor looked over, somewhat warmly, "we were just about to get going," she said, "oh, of course not without you."
Not long after, Alianor, the boy, and Alice started out towards Dawnstar.
"I hope ya know that Dawnstar is pretty bloody cold," the boy peeped.
"Damn well we do," Alice paused, "been there just about a million times with our gang."
Enoch nearly interupted, "gang? What sort O' gang?"
"Well... It's a group of us, safe from the curse of Doben. We have some... personal issues with him. So, our gang kinda tries to free all of Skyrim from this mess," she looked at the boy, "you know, slay Doben. Regain peace and order," Alianor explained.
Enoch just nodded. The girls expected this much from a small child, not understanding the works of the world too much.
The travel was nice. Small talk, and a bit of snacking here and there. Alianor even picked up and arrow or two from a bandit. It was all well.
Dawnstar had started to come in sight. The sun was peeking out from behind a few clouds on the afternoon sky, and the trees had a bit of a dusting on them from this morning's snowfall. The paths were a bit rough and some patched with ice between the cobblestone, but it wasn't enough to wipe the little crew of three off their feet. They had met a few guards on the way who looked slightly disgruntled in seeing the two girls, but other than that, Dawnstar looked pretty normal.
"Well, Enoch, this is where we part ways," Alice said roughing up the boy's hair, which brushed some snow around that had collected on his locks.
The little boy looked at Alice with beating eyes that fought off tears.
Alianor looked at Alice, "he has no where else to go... maybe we can take him back with us."
Alice got up and thought about it, "maybe... I'm not sure K'Joor would want to watch a child-"
"I have been alone for so long. I can handle myself," Enoch said clutching his pouch, "but I'd love ta join ya guys."
Shrugging, Alice let out a hand to Enoch. He thankfully grabbed it as they started to walk out in Dawnstar.
Light breeze swooshed through the air, making a slight whistling sound that'd chirp in your ears. Dusty snow gathered through the slight flurry. Gigantic frost bitten trees gloomed in snow covered stone patches.
"Alice, right?" Enoch said, looking to the Imperial.
Alice looked at the boy, "Yes, and what is it?'
"What's K'Joor like?"
Alianor narrowed her eyes at Enoch, "K'Joor is like a leader... I'm very surprised you haven't heard of our uprising yet. It's fairly popular since everyone seems to be trying to kill us lately," she paused shrugging her muscled shoulders, "wouldn't blame them. I'd be pretty intimidated by me... well us."
Enoch sighed. Alianor hadn't said much about K' was very looking forward to the tale.
"Alianor, we obviously don't have horses, and there isn't a carriage driver in Dawnstar, shall we walk the way back?" Alice asked.
The Wood Elf looked around, "seems fair to me, that's if the boy can k-"
"I'll be fine" Enoch interupted.
Walking down the slippery paths, the three took in the nice northern air and the fair weather they were having compared to the last few days. Alice had beaten up a few fugitives on the way. Alianor had also practiced her bow skills on the few wildlife they had saw on the way, which also made for a good meal.
Walking slowly, Alice minded her step as the rocky mountain edge had formed a nice icey glazed that made it difficult to walk on. Alianor was good on her feet, so she tredded wispfully, and Enoch had actually been able to endure the slickness of the ice.
"Where the hell are we, Alice? I thought you knew Skyrim like the back of your hand!"
"Quiet, Alianor, I know exactly where we are," Alice said, slipping right on her bottom.
"Girls, I know ya think ya got yer way home an' all, but I have seen my way aroun' an' this isn't the path to Riften," Enoch stood upright, helping Alice up.
Getting up, Alice coughed, "minor detour, well be there by morning!" she gave a cheery smile and put her hands on her hips.
"Hardly. By sundown we'll be almost ta Markarth..."
Alianor sneered, "I told you those signs we tampered with! Never trust fugitives, Alice!"
"Oh shut your mouth! I was only asking for directions, I can't help it that they may or may not have been fugitives and I beat them up later!" she scolded, "which they damn well deserved it!"
After several minuets of yelling, Enoch began to grow restless. If they didn't stop soon, they'd never make it back to K'Joor.
"-And you'll be damn sure that K'Joor hears of this stalling when we return!" one of them yelled, but Enoch couldn't tell which one. his ears rang from countless moments of screaming.
After it had all settled down, the boy got up, "listen, if ya would mind. Could I maybe lead the way this time? I know exactly where ta go."
The girls looked at each other before both nodding, "sure."
I was going to add more to this chapter, but I began to get bored of what I was writing, and figured I might as well save it for the next chapter, since I do need fillers for the 30 chapters I had planned.
Expect some short chapters as I have limited time to write, and if I can easily get you content every few days or so rather than every month, I'll take the few days. I also know that since my long absence, my most occurring readers may have lost a bit of interest, and for that, I am very sorry. I am very much of a slacker. It sucks, but I wish to do so much with my talent to write not just fanfictions but any type of story my mind can come up with.
Anyways, stay Dark and go outside and enjoy spring (unless it's some other season where you live, then enjoy that season as well)!
