Chapter 24: Amusement Parks and Planning
"Have you ever been to Disney World Bella?" Phil asked.
"When I was little, mom took me." I said.
We pulled into the parking lot, once we paid for a spot and actually found one we got out of the car.
"We should have paid for a closer spot, Bella is going to get worn out just walking there." Renee fussed.
"A closer spot would have cost us double the amount we already paid." Phil told her.
"It would have been worth it, all this walking is going to make her tired!" She told him.
"Mom, I'm fine." I said.
"You say that now, but after we finish here you aren't going to want to walk all this way back to the car." She said.
"I will carry her if I have too Renee." Phil offered.
"You are not carrying me! I'm too heavy!" I objected.
"Bull crap, you are not heavy at all." He told me.
"I'm a whale!" I said looking at my stomach which was just starting to show.
Phil laughed shaking his head.
"Well I am!" I said.
"Whatever you say Bella." He said.
We finally made it to the park and the first thing we did was eat, and I ate a lot. I had a hot dog, some chips, a corn dog, a taco, and cotton candy. It probably wasn't a good idea to eat all that food, especially if I was able to ride any rides.
...And the first ride Renee picked was the tea cup ride, she wanted to relive the first time we rode it when I was a kid.
Everything was going great until the middle of the ride, I begged Phil and Renee to stop spinning it so fast but they weren't listening. Once off the ride I dodged for the nearest trash can and threw up every ounce of food I had ate before.
"What's your problem?! Have you ever seen a pregnant women puke before?! WALK AWAY!" Phil snapped before holding my hair back.
"No more spinning rides. I can't do those anymore." I groaned.
"I'm so sorry baby." Renee said rubbing my back.
I smiled, this whole her babying me thing was getting irritating.
…
"I just want you to be happy, this is the most wonderful time of your life." Renee said.
"I know mom." I said.
"I was so happy when I found out that I was pregnant with you, and your father was so supportive and loving back then. It was the happiest time of my life, besides marrying you of course." She said kissing Phil on the cheek.
"I know mom." I said.
We walked passed a couple with their little girl who was in a Cinderella dress, they were comforting their crying child who just dropped her ice cream cone.
"You know, you did that here once. It took me ten minutes to get you to calm down. Bella, I know you miss Edward, but try to be happy okay? Don't be depressed throughout your entire pregnancy." She said.
"Renee!" Phil gasped.
"Don't be depressed?!" I gasped stopping walking, "I miss my husband okay?! When I would think about being pregnant I would envision Edward with me every minute! Not missing the entire thing! So yes, I am 'depressed' because instead of being happy about being pregnant I am upset because he is missing this! So I'm sorry that I am ruining your fun!"
I walked away from Phil and Renee and over to a quiet area, I dug my phone out and dialed a number.
"Bella?"
"I want to come home." I said.
"Bella..."
"No! Dad please let me come home." I snapped.
"Bella, we've been over this a million times. Edward needs to be separated from everyone." Carlisle said.
"I bet you aren't separated! I bet you guys get to see him every day!" I growled.
"We actually don't, he is with his therapist." He told me.
"He is?" I asked.
"Yeah, he is staying with her." He said.
"Her?! His therapist is a her?!" I gasped.
"It's nothing like that." He told me.
"I hate this." I sighed.
"I know honey, just try to be a little more patient." He said.
"That's hard to do when your mother keeps reminding you that you aren't happy." I whispered.
"A little longer Bella. Everything is going to work out, you'll see." He said.
"He won't even know I'm home, I can stay in a hotel!" I tried once more.
He sighed.
"I know, a little bit longer." I said.
"I love you." He said.
"I love you too." I told him.
We hung up, I was standing in the happiest place in the world, but I wasn't happy. Not at all.
…
"I brought you some tea." Phil said.
I looked up from the patio chair I was sitting in.
"Thank you." I said taking it.
"Ah," He sighed sitting down next to me, "She can be overbearing can't she?"
I looked at him shocked.
"Hey, she may be my wife but that doesn't mean she doesn't get on my nerves." He admitted.
I laughed.
"Have you ever felt that with Edward?" He asked.
"All the time, he is so overprotective. It can be annoying." I told him.
"I'm glad he is there to protect you. He loves you." He said.
"I know." I smiled.
"Any news on how things are going?" He asked.
"Good I guess, he is staying with his female therapist." I grumbled.
"I'm sure he is smart enough not to cheat on you." He told me.
"It's not him I'm worried about, it's her. I've never met her before and who knows who she is." I said.
"He can put a stop to it if it gets too far." He said.
"James won't." I sighed.
He patted my leg before standing up.
"It will all work out in the end Bella." He said before walking away.
The Next Day
"Renee for the millionth time, I accept you apology." I groaned.
"I just don't want you to hate me." She said.
"I don't hate you!" I said.
"Good." She said.
Phil walked into the kitchen just as my phone rang. I put it on speaker phone so I could continue to write on the post card I was going to send Alice and Rosalie.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hello bitch. Haven't spoke to you in a while."
Renee and Phil's eyes almost popped out of their head.
"James." I sighed.
"How's things in Florida? Fuck any guys lately?" He laughed.
"James! Stop that!" I hissed.
"What? Can't handle the truth? Well, guys are better off not coming near you anyway, wouldn't want another bastard baby in you." He said.
Renee gasped.
"You can't hurt me anymore James, remember? I'm in Florida and you are in Washington, all the way across the US." I told him.
"I may not be able to hurt you physically, but I can hurt you mentally." He reminded me.
"No you can't." I said.
"Who you trying to convince? Me? Or your poor, sad, pathetic self?" He asked.
"Goodbye James." I said.
"Edward doesn't love you, you know that right?" He asked.
That one shocked me, I've never heard James talk or mention Edward before.
"What? Didn't think I knew about your precious sappy husband? Well, I do." He said.
"He does too love me James, you are just trying to get to me." I told him.
"I'm on the phone!" I heard James say.
There was a women talking on the other side.
"Give me the phone!" The girl screamed, "Hello?"
"Hi." I said.
"Is this Bella?" She asked.
"Yeah, I'm assuming you are the therapist helping my husband?" I asked.
"Yes, my name is Andrea." She said.
"Is he getting any better?" I asked.
"I'm sorry you got that phone call, I try to keep his phone away from him. He must have gotten to it." She said.
"I know how to handle it, I just want to make sure you are doing everything you can to make him better. To make it so that his DID is under control." I told her.
"Rest assured Bella, I am doing everything I can to make things better for you and your husband." She said.
"Thank you." I said.
"I'll keep you updated." She said.
"Thanks." I said.
We hung up.
"Wow." Renee said.
"That's James." I sighed.
"He sounds like an ass." Phil joked.
I laughed.
"How can you joke about this?" Renee shrieked.
"Alright, I'm going in my room before this turns into another screaming match." I said.
"Night Bella." Phil said.
"Night." I said before walking into my room and shutting the door.
…
"Excuse me?"
I turned around.
My mouth kind of hung open as I watched a tall and handsome guy with blond hair and the deepest blue eyes I have ever seen walk up to me.
"You dropped your wallet." He said.
"Uh. Um... Thanks." I said.
He handed it to me.
"I'm Dylan." He said holding out his hand.
"Bella." I said shaking it.
"I don't mean to jump the gun here Bella, but are you seeing anyone?" He asked.
"No. Wait! I mean yes, I am married." I said my cheeks blushing.
"You're cute when you blush." He said.
"Ma- Married. I'm married to an amazing man who loves when I blush, so that spot is taken." I blubbered.
"Sorry, didn't mean to cross a line." He said.
"It's fine." I told him.
"You live around here?" He asked.
"No, I'm from Washington. I'm here visiting my mom and step dad." I told him.
"That's nice." He said.
"Yeah." I said.
"Well listen," He said writing his number on a receipt paper, "Here is my number."
"So call me maybe?" I finished.
He laughed, "Yeah!"
"It was nice meeting you Bella." He said.
"You too." I said.
I got home and put all the groceries away, Renee and Phil walked in.
"Hey Bella." Phil said.
"Hi Phil." I said.
"What are you up too?" He asked.
"Putting away the groceries." I said.
I'll save you the drama of my mother, she said I shouldn't be doing all the shopping and it led to a big argument. I finally walked away and slammed my bedroom door, that's when I started to feel extremely dizzy.
The whole room was spinning, I grabbed on to my dresser and walked to the bed and sat down. That didn't seem to help though, I set a hand on my stomach and took a deep breath. Something couldn't be wrong with the baby?
...Could it?
Bum bum buuummm...
Is there something wrong with the baby?
All this stress from her mother can't be helping anything...
Anyway, I know it's been a while but I'll save you the normal my life is hectic speech!
Reviews make me happy =]
